Usually the quality of food at a buffet is just ehh, but I was pretty pleased with the Borgata Buffet! There's tons of meats, seafood (shrimp cocktail, mussels, what have you), soups, sides, etc and their dishes are mainly grouped together by cuisine. I.e. Chinese food in one section, Caribbean in another, etc. Even sushi! Not the best sushi in the world, but hey. And randomly, their veggie Lo mein was maybe the best ive ever eaten. Best part is the plethora of desserts!!! Cakes, cookies, cannoli, even gelato which they'll serve you in a plastic cup so you can take it to go. Be warned: the line gets really long. We waited almost an hour to be seated at prime dinner time. They allow gold members in first so keep that in mind if you're not a gold member. They seat multiple parties at once which is efficient I guess. I wish we weren't in such a rush so we could've enjoyed the buffet more but I'm sure I'll be back someday. read more

This is a dope buffet. Go crazy, people. For $20 (or free with points), you can eat to your heart's content for as long as you want. They have all types of seafood and meat and vegetables and dessert and a salad bar and soups. It's not five-star food, but there is something that everyone will love. I loved the clams, mussels, shrimp (like five types!), lamb, peppers, broccoli, mushrooms, pineapple chicken, cheesecake, bread pudding, and cappuccino ice cream. So we were staying at Borgata and being platinum with MGM got a good price and could skip the line which was nice over a holiday weekend. The buffet itself was clean. The servers were all helpful. Seemed like there were plenty of staff working. They had a nice selection of different types of foods. We tried a little bit of everything and thought it was all pretty good. Nothing really outstanding but good for a buffet. I'm not so sure I would have rated it a 5 if I had paid full price and had to wait in line however. 1st I want to comment that this buffet is the best in AC. Unfortunately, I was treated as a shoplifter! I was walked to the table by the host and took she took my reciept with her after escorting me to mine. 10 minutes later, she came to my table and she asked me if I payed. Calmly, I said yes I did. She said the reciept for the table isnt there. I then said I dont know what you did with it? She left and came back while I was eating and asked for my purchase reciept. I remained professional but embarrased at the same time. People began to look my way. She interupted my conversion while attempting to retrieve my reciept. She returned and apologized but was very insincere about it. Afterwards, I went to Borgata customer service area and I told them what happened. I even got someone who witness me pay for the entrance to vouch for me. Customer service apologized and applied a food voucher unto my card. I checked immediately and the voucher wasnt there. I asked the lady and customer service about it and she stated to give a few hours. The next day I called Borgatas customer service and they stated there was a food voucher nor any notes on that matter. Other than the good food, the experience overall was horrendous and really embarassing!!!! They made me feel as if I was a shoplifter and I felt discriminated against!!! The buffet was pretty good. I would say there's something here for everyone. There were 3 fresh soups and we had the clam chowder. It was delicious! There is steak, veggies, salmon which was cooked in banana leaves. Clams, shrimp, lamb chops, prime rib, pasta, etc. the coconut rice was one of my favorite items. It was just ok...not worth the $34 per person. $24 pp would have been a more fairer price. The food was not that great. The prime rib was too well done and dried out (and we were there for 3 different prime ribs). The steaks were also all 'well done' and tough. The rest of the food was just okay. I've had much better buffets in Lancaster, PA. This buffet is advertised a the BEST in Atlantic City - if this is true I know I won't waste my time at any of the other AC buffets. Nothing to Speak of. Beautiful piece of rib roast prepared like a pot roast. The sirloin steak was thin and overcooked. My wife had the fried chicken fresh out of the fryer and thought it very good but went back for another piece 20 minutes later it was oil drenched and soggy. Just another basic buffet. I came to this buffet with high expectations because of Vegas buffets but it was a let down. We came in for brunch and the buffet really had nothing special but basic breakfast foods and lunch foods. Our waitress was not nice at all. She continuously complained about another group of people who she felt didn't all pay (she was later found to be wrong). Her attitude was horrible. I figured when in AC you have to try a buffet and based on previous positive Yelp reviews, I figured the Borgata would be a good choice. I thought the food was just ok. I went for the lunch buffet on a Thursday and the line already started forming at 11:45 (lunch starts at noon). The options are quite vast and you can't argue over the $19.99 (ends up being about $23 after tax and tip) for the amount of food choices up for consumption. I'm not a big eater, but I tried sampling small bits of the various choices. I would say about 70% of what I ate was ok and the other 30% not so much. I've got quite a sweet tooth and wasn't blown away by any of the desserts either. It's a buffet - lots of food cooked in bulk - so par for the course. So, if you are feeling very hungry, why not! Try out the buffet with endless options. I would recommend either breakfast or lunch. Even a meal in any of the other Borgata restraunts would cost you the same, plus additional for beverages and dessert. read more

Came here for dinner on a weekday spring night. Was relatively busy and had to wait on line for a short period. The Borgata buffet in my opinion is the best buffet in Atlantic City (that's not saying much) but doesn't compare to the great buffets of Las Vegas (Cosmo, Caesars, Wynn). That being said, generally speaking, this buffet has all you want in a buffet - lots of choices, relatively good food, clean serving areas, plenty of inventory and good waiter service (to take away plates and refill drinks) Skip the sushi, salad and pizza stations. The first two are a joke with limited choices (California rolls basically). The pizza looks ok but will fill you up. The ok items were the Asian station (although I've had better at Panda Express), prime rib, seafood items such as clams and mussels. The good items were the steaks, pastas and the specialty items such as the bone marrow, portobello mushrooms and pork belly. Also the dessert station is pretty solid. All in all, the Borgata buffet is a good choice for the hungry. Dinner costs are $33.95 per person (or $36.33 including tax) which is fair (includes soft drinks). Most people, including I, who have rewards get the buffet for free. Unclear if I would use real money to pay for this. Note you need to check the days and hours. We had a great time here for Mother's Day Brunch. It was $34.99/adult and kids were $18.50 I think. My son is 7, and doesn't eat much. We were thinking we'd waste money but there was so many options for him! Pancakes, waffles. French toast, fruit, he even had a mango gelato and was over the moon with how delicious it was. They were able to sit our party of 11, in 3 booths right near each other. A big table would have been better, but this was fine. The food was delicious and we all left with full bellies. But this isn't your typical buffet ... each item I tried was soooo goood. A few of my favorite things in order: Salmon wrapped in Banana Leaf - AHHHHHH. Shrimp Cocktail - so fresh!! I think I ate 100 of these. Lobster Ravioli Roast Beef Prime Rib Macaroni & Cheese Also the clams, mussels, pizza, pasta, asian food, and sushi were yum. They had a wide selection of delectable desserts too! Lots of tarts, little cakes, and gelato! I personally liked the eclairs, cheesecake, and the coconut cream puffs. Had a wonderful time here that left me both very satisfied and incredibly full after 90 minutes. It is possible to eat here even while on a diet just as long as you avoid the unhealthy delights such as pasta, noodles, potatoes, and fried foods. I think I did pretty well with the selections I got. Here were several highlights from my meal - prime rib, lamb chops, braised beef tenderloin, pulled pork and strip steak were juicy and full of flavor - nicely cooked meatballs and corn on the cob - delicious fried chicken (just a little treat) - no sugar added ice cream - chocolate cannoli (just one bite to taste) The seafood selection isn't the greatest (mussels, clams, salmon) but the shrimp ceviche did stand out. We got two buffet dinner comped at the borgata so I have to write my review with that fact in mind. If I had to pay about $35/pp, I would have had a slightly higher standard. With all that said, I enjoyed dinner at this buffet. There was a wide selection of seafoods, salads, carving station, Chinese area (nothing there interested me. Very takeout style foods), italian area (mussels in white wine sauce were delish as were the huge cheese ravioli). The cocktail shrimps tasted like raw oysters and it was kind of funky. They also had huge prawns tossed with some sort of herb dressing those were enjoyable. The cocktail sauce had a kick to it and was very good. The dessert sections had a great selection and everything was good. We had chocolate mousse. Tiramisu. Blood orange sorbet. Mango sorbet. Creme brûlée (a fav amongst us). They also offered fresh fruit and crepes and many other items that we didn't try. They have steaks, burgers, southern style fried chicken (love). Our waiter was very attentive and kind. We stayed in AC for a few days and tried 2 other buffets for supper time (Cesar's which isn't good and Harrah's which was great!). The Borgata was my second favorite option, I loved the decor and classy atmosphere of the restaurant. The food was set up nicely and everything look appealing however there wasn't as much selection as I would have liked. Odd that out of all buffets we went to, none had a real cheese or cold cut bar. I would have loved to eat some quality cheeses, other than the parmesan powder for my salad. There's a good selection of carved meat and seafood. I loved the flounder and swordfish along with the lobster/shrimp ravioli. The creamy sauce was like a rosee Alfredo, extremely flavorful, but filling. The worse dishes were probably the Asian rice, spring rolls and general tao. Tasted bland, hard like fried dough and just felt cheap compared to everything else. There's tons of desert options but I have a feeling most people get so full, they don't care that much for sweets. Cookies were fresh and so soft, the creme brulee was also delicious and so velvety. Soft drinks and juice are included. Come early, we were there before six and there was a very small line up that got progressively worse over the hour. read more

I've eaten here twice so far and I can say that my experience has just been O-K. The place is huge with plenty of seats with a wide array of dishes and cuisines for dinner. The most memorable dishes were the cajun pasta, fried shrimp, general tso chicken, roasted brussels sprout and their desserts. I would say that the steaks and prime rib were sub-par, sushi very elementary and they have no crab legs or lobster. One things for sure, I've left extremely full both times. They offer many types of food like Asian, Japanese, American, Italian etc. there was prime rib, clams, mussels, tempura soft shell crab, etc. lots of variety to choose from. Drinks like orange juice, grapefruit, coffee and tea are included in the buffet fee with no extra charges. My favorite Is there dessert section gelatos and mini cheesecake. We had lunch here on a Tuesday and it was surprisingly not very crowded at all. I did not expect much as usually buffet in casino was not very good. But The Borgata buffet was quite decent. As there was no line when we were there, we just went straight to the front (cashier) and after paying for the buffet, another staff brought us to our table and left us to the waitress in charge of the section. Service was good, our waitress was friendly and prompt in taking away the plates and re-filling of coffee/tea. The place exuded a homely feel even though it was very spacious. There were many types of cuisines available and each cuisine had about 4-6 types of dishes to tempt the diners. Chinese, Italian, Mexican, Seafood, Meat, Salad, Pizza, Dessert.... The food was average to some being better than expected. At least it was not terrible, soaked in grease and being soggy or tough. I did not try everything as there were just too many choices. What I liked was the brussels sprouts which were very nicely done. Crunchy nutty taste, not overcooked or bitter. Another highlight for me was the candied sweet potato which was awesome. The fried chicken was good but nothing fantastic. Roast beef was tender. The mac and cheese was deliciously yummy. There was a wide variety of desserts available.
