So we picked this place randomly after picking our son up from the airport. Ambiance was on point. Loved the eclectic decor and the menu was amazing. Music selection was and service was on point. Our super picky 14 year old had the tomato bisque and grilled cheese. If he could have licked the bowl, he would have. And did I mention he's super picky? My wife had the chicken sandwich and it was perfection. I had the pressed BC sandwich. Between the 3 of us every plate was absolutely cleaned. This is a place we would definitely visit again. Came here for our reservation for 11:15 and the ONLY hiccup we had was that the hostess put JD instead of Katie for the reservation but was fixed right away! We got the breakfast burrito, old fashioned breakfast with pancake on the side, short rib chilaquiles, and mushroom chilaquiles. Which were at 10/10. Our waitress (wish I got her name) was helpful and also informed us the kitchen was a little busy in case our food took a little longer, which was great communication, although our food came out pretty quickly! The only reason I'm giving this place a star at all is because our waiter Canyon was attentive and kind during our time eating here. We had called ahead of time (3pm during happy hour, when the restaurant had maybe 5 people outside dining) confirming if they allowed dogs, which they stated they did. When ordering, I asked if we were able to order a side of chicken breast for the dog and Canyon said that was fine. Half way through our meal, Nick (manager??) rudely approached us about feeding our dog away from the table stating it was "restaurant policy" that we were not able to feed him. If there are policies in place (which I understand & respect), then why not make it known from the start and we wouldn't have even ordered food for our dog at all? We felt so uncomfortable after his negative and rude approach, we couldn't even finish our meal and decided to leave. I spoke with Nick directly after as we were leaving and there was no empathy or understanding when I had expressed how our dining experience was. With Bosscat being a very well known restaurant in OC, I would've expected management to have a level of professionalism and mannerism instead of making their guests feel belittled and uncomfortable. For it being a "higher end" restaurant, it's disappointing that the lack of customer service doesn't match the quality of the food. read more

We were going out for a lunch break and wanted to try something different than our normal spots. I was tasked to find a place. Bosscat Kitchen caught my eye. I am so glad they were able to accommodate our party of 7 for lunch. The staff was amazing and extremely friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. We tried the Brussel sprouts, the pulled pork hush puppies, the mushroom fries, and their bread. AMAZING! Everything was top notch! I think this would be a great place for our Company to have a happy hour in the future. If there was anything bad for me to say, it would be that we didn't have time to order a dessert to try. Bosscat is located at the corner of Dove and MacArthur blvd, just west of JWA. There is plenty of patio seating as well as a bar area, so you can go to drink and/or eat with no issues. I came with a group of co-workers and arrived early, so I got the story about how Bosscat was created, and the waiters were all warm and checked on me as needed. It was clear as we began to eat that there is a reason this location has such a high rating-the food was amazing. So to review what I tried: Open Faced Pastrami Sandwich. 10 stars. Worth a trip over, and once of the best pastrami sandwiches I have ever tasted. The pastrami was on another level- the pastrami was made in chunks, very similar to burnt ends, so you had a blend of fat with the meat that just made it even tenderer. The pastrami is covered in a light mustard and pickles. PERFECT. Note that the sandwich is served a la carte. I also had the fries, which are large slices, so one can easily share a plate with several people. My experience wasn't the best at Bosscat, but I wanted to share, as I thought they handled some things perfectly. My sandwich didn't come out with everyone else's food, and when I asked I was told that it wasn't made right, so they cook wanted to make another one. As I raised my eyebrow at this explanation I was also told that the sandwich would be comped. I wasn't necessarily expecting a free meal, so I appreciated them correcting their mistake. The big whammy to me is their corporate card policy. As we were all co-workers with corporate cards, we were stunned to be told their policy is that they cannot separate out the bill for corporate reimbursement. Now this restaurant is located in a non-residential area, all businesses, and NEXT to an airport, so I was really surprised/disappointed. This is 2018 and the bill can't be separated? I have eaten at some of the most basic/low-budget establishments, and have had no issues getting what I need to submit for reimbursement. And to be fair, the staff seemed frustrated by this as well, and they attempted to bring us some chilled whiskey--we all appreciated that effort as well, but since we all were driving we couldn't enjoy it. I will avoid this place for business purposes going forward, which is disappointing as I usually go out for business dinners several times a month. Anyways, if you are on a date, or looking for some good food around the airport, Bosscat is perfect, just be aware when you arrive in groups! Thanks. read more

A special occasion called for me to try something different. Bosscat Kitchen did not disappoint! Warm atmosphere, friendly service, good vibe. We tried the Breakfast in Bed Shot. Truly mind blowing. Delicious. We had the avocado salad which was very fresh and the lemon dressing is excellent. We then had the Pulled Pork Benedict, which was super rich and yummy. One tiny thing that I was a bit disappointed with was that the Benedict was lukewarm. I would have loved for it to be hotter. All in all, really good for brunch. read more

We had a mishap in communication in being able to walk-in on Father's Day, Pedra (I believe the manager) made it right by accommodating us. Unbeknownst to him, we saw him immediately step in and do training with his staff to ensure their success. We offered to get him a drink and we took great care of the waitress (Cynthia) who did an amazing job recommending drinks and meals based on our taste. Definitely try the "Breakfast in bed shot" and the "Bosscat". Circumstances does not always dictate value & quality, but theirs is excellent! The food here is amazing! The specialty drinks are outstanding! We easily made a reservation for 10 and had 2 additional people join last minute. They were helpful in accommodating the additional people, which is often difficult with large groups. The outdoor seating area was very comfortable as we waiting for everyone to show up. Service was great, with the food runners helping to keep the food coming out. We ordered almost every appetizer and devoured everything. We ordered about 8 different dinners and everyone was very happy with their food. The reason for the 4 stars is the noise level. It was very very difficult to talk to anyone that wasn't directly next to you. It was a combination of the music and the echo of the room. They have locations in Houston and Orange, and... did I hear rumors about something in Las Vegas? Who knows. This location is great - about five times bigger than the last location, and great for groups and with inside outside options. It's loud in here. It's busy in here. Service is great. The signature cocktails and anything the craft bartenders make is wonderful. The pork belly candy, the bosscat fries, and the salads, as well as the bosscat burger, are fantastic. As a bottomless mimosa connoisseur, this place was so much fun on Saturday mornings. Unfortunately, on my most recent visit, I noticed they they've somewhat toned it down. They got rid of their "bottomless" option which is a huge blow to them in my opinion. Anyways, on to the food. I have tried several brunch options. The 2x2 Burger, Fruity Pebbles French Toast, Short Rib Chilaquiles, and the Totchos. If I had to choose one I would go with the Fruity Pebbles French toast. It is their most unique dish and will satisfy your sweet brunch cravings. Second, I would go with the Chilaquiles which are very filling and have a nice twist to your traditional chilaquiles. I would stay away from 2x2 burger and totchos, very mediocre imo. If you're like me and looking for a replacement on the bottomless mimosas, your best bet is gonna be the mimosa pitcher. Just read this and you'll go, the amount of great reviews had my curiosity. There were a couple of items on the brunch menu that I wanted to try so why the hell not . You get there and you see the 40x40 outside tent designed for outdoor seating. It was decorated and had the same table seatings as the inside. I must say the inside is a nice venue to see but ounce you walk inside, you can't really appreciate the doors, decor, windows, openings, and design until you sit down. I sat at the bar which is a good spot were you could admire the interior. The kitchen has a visible glass so you can see how fast they are moving. It's light speed lol but beside the clear glass the wall is cherry wood flooring the kind you find on your home floorings which I thought was unique. The rest of the walls are red brink with barn windows, definitely works with the space. One wall is glass and it lifts up to open making it indoor outdoor ! Brilliant. The roof has custom tile on it and it's painted black. This is a great place to bring a date or just vibe in. At the bar we had the pleasure of being served by Roshaun! I made the comment of this is our first time here and his response was what took you so long lmao. Perfect love the sense of humor man. He asked for our drink choices I said surprise me and he came back with the Paloma I would love to tell you what's in it but I legitimately forgot lol sorry about that. But it was pretty cool strong and refreshing. Besides the great conversation between us and Roshaun we ordered our food. I couldn't resist shrimp and grits it's a echoing combo I've had once with cheese grits. The mix of egg creole seasonings and Gouda is one you will not forget. But you can't have them separate the dish works well as a unit. You have to have a bite of the egg, grits, shrimp and sauce at the same time to appreciate the flavors as a whole. Very savory not a fan of the bell peppers but I powered through for to experience the entire meal. The star of the show was the pancakes. Sweat cream buttermilk how the hell could I say no to that. I've never had it and you might say the dishes don't go well with each other. I completely agree they don't it's two different pallets . I'm glad I experience the shrimp and grits but dammit I needed 27 orders of those pancakes hands down I guarantee the best damn pancakes you'll have in life and yes included grandmas, moms, aunties, dads honestly whomever in life restaurant or Weston you think has the best pancakes the don't even compare to these. Seriously bottle it up and sell it and never give the recipe out. They aren't big as a plate like some,they aren't overly fluffy, they don't have a random hint of vanilla they are the perfect size and density. I was actually highly upset I only presented two my taste buds require four minimum lol. By the way the music was top notch whomever play list they used I need it ASAP. If you can sit at the bar combine it with the music, food and seeing the movement of the staff it's amazing but the most impressing thing I've ever experienced was the speed of how the food came out. I feel like I ordered and five minutes later got delicious food was under my face ready to be devoured. I don't do this often but the experience the music the food and our server Roshaun this is a five star establishment. The management went out of its way to assist us with special logistical requests.The staff did an excellent job of serving our somewhat complicated orders and overseeing the champagne and wine service. TL;DR Do not go here if you have kids The good: The Drinks, the Breakfast in Bed shots recommended by the waiter were great. The waiter was nice. It is at a great location. The live DJ was a nice touch, but not for kids. The bad: We informed the hostess that we had young children in our party when we put our names in. 30 minutes later they tried to put us a a high table which does not work. She become frustrated when we told her this and proceeded to seat us at a table which was 1) right next to the DJ (again, not good for kids) and 2) contained sharp edges (attached pic) which resulting in my kid busting his lip later on. This also only have TWO high chairs in the entire restaurant for kids which were already in use - part of the reason why my kid hurt his lip since he was so close to the table. The food: Most of the food was good; however, the food for some people at our table came out cold and they completely forgot some of our item until we asked. read more

This is a trendy spot located in a business area. Because of the location, it seems to be a good place for office workers to meet for lunch, dinner or happy hour. It would likely not be on the radar for most due to the location. I've been here a few times and they are mainly known for their cocktails, but their bosscat burger is quite good in my opinion. I've tried quite a few of the appetizers and none really blew me away. Based on that and the somewhat inconvenient locations, I have to give it four stars. read more

We hosted a private event at Bosscat, and worked with Susan beforehand to set everything up. It was a great experience! Setting up the menu items was a breeze, and the food was fantastic. We set up a fixed menu in advance that included a choice of appetizers, a salad, choice of entrees, and a dessert. Everyone in our group loved the experience! When we arrived at the restaurant, there was a semi-private room sectioned off for us. Some of the people in our group started rearranging the tables so that we could all sit together. I started getting a small knot in my stomach, not sure whether or not the staff would appreciate our redecorating efforts. To my delight, our servers were extremely gracious about the whole thing, and helped us with the arrangement as soon as they saw what we were doing. Our host told us it happens all the time, and said it was absolutely not a problem. This was my third time dining at Bosscat, but my first private event. The whole thing went off without a hitch, so I'll definitely consider having another one here in the future. read more

WOW! Had zero expectations about this spot and was pleasantly surprised. Had reservations for 3 at 12:15 on a Friday afternoon arrived a bit early so sat at the bar for a cocktail and was not disappointed. The bar keep was very friendly but not overbearing- thank you! We ordered a number of apps there we're fantastic. The chicken meat balls, pig candy and country bread was amazing.
