Today, we decided to get the pizza buffet! Good choice. The cooks kept the pizzas stocked(they go REALLY fast) and fresh. Also the salad bar had a good amount of toppings and dressings to choose from. I like the drink selection as well, we went with the strawberry lemonade! Last time we ordered the burgers, and it did take a while to receive because there were a lot of pick-up orders coming through. But it was worth it! They tasted really good. We love the garlic fries so much! The cashier is always so sweet and helpful. She will let you know if your order will take a while or not/if they're backed up, just be polite. Ordered pizza and wings. Wanted to love this place because of its proximity to our house and we were unfortunately highly disappointed. Not sure how it has almost 4 1/2 stars. The pizza crust was overly cooked with a horrible texture, almost as if it came pre-frozen. Toppings were low quality, cheese not even melted. It was maybe room temperature, the toppings slide off the pizza. You could not pick it up. I called, asked for the manger . The girl that answered told me she was the manger. Long story short, put in an online order, show up 30 minutes later to hear "Oh, we thought we were out of ingredients for one of your pizzas until just a minute ago, so we just started cooking your order." Why in the hell were my fries sweet? Really, just stick to the pizza and wings. The burgers here were atrocious and the only good thing here was the salad we started off with. It had the consistency of couch foam. I had to drink so much water to drink it down. What was really a shocker was the fries. THEY HAD SUGAR IN IT. Sugar, on fries, it just was not a good combination. There was no indication that there was sugar in it. Pops' fries looked the same but had salt, which what it was supposed to have. You can't say bomb on an airplane but I can describe the burger and pizza as "the bomb"! I got the loaded pizza and they have green olives on it. I love green olives! The burger was awesome too. The cheese and crust on the pizza was so good and did I mention the burger? I could not eat the whole pizza so I left it on my counter for 2.5 days and when I zapped it in the microwave it tasted the same. I killed the burger in 10 minutes because it was so delicious! And the fries OMG those are like made from sweet potatoes (I think) they are good but they don't keep for more than 8 hours, oh well. I also ordered a side salad. It was delivered thru DoorDash. The delivery aspect was fine. The sandwich was actually 2 fried chicken tenders, but here is where it gets weird. It had cucumber slices, avocado, tomato and some type of a sweet hot sauce. Definitely not anything close to a Buffalo sauce. The chicken was way over cooked. The sauce was outstanding and the bun was good, but I didn't get any cheese or the blue cheese. As overcooked as the chicken was, the fries were equally undercooked! The salad was good. Their salads are always good! It must have been an off night for them because I have never had anything negative to say about Bosses. Walked in and was met with a small line, everyone talking about the burgers and pizza. I chatted in line with people for a short 3 mins and placed a huge order wanting a little of everything. Cheese Burger - I'll tell you the best thing about these Texas sized Boss burgers is the way they are prepared. They don't wait around, you get your food hot and this mountain of fresh beef, quality cheese and fix'ins was the burger to meet my desire. It's how burgers are done! Parmesan Fries - Now these little babies are treat that only Bosses can make. There is a Bosses ingredient that makes them so tangy, salty and sweet that you will hold the ketchup so you can revel in the decadence! Medium Pepperoni Pizza - The flag ship of any place that tries to call itself a pizza shop. The hand tossed crust has that crunchy bottom with center full of stringy hot fresh cheese that really slams home for a cheese lover. Every bite had Texas sized amounts of toppings, fresh and oh man, served Bosses style with a golden crust! Bosses reopened under a new owner and let me tell you, this place was jumping with both Boss and Mrs Boss slinging pies and burgers in the back. I managed a pizza restaurant for a few years so I tend to be a bit critical about pizza taste and the operations, but this place is great. How do you know this place is great? When you walk in the owner is either making pizzas or cleaning tables. EVERY TIME!! Not bossing people around (while I'm there) or being nonexistent. This guy rolls his sleeves up and it shows with his other employees. Service is always great here. It's a buffet (unless you special order) so you don't have a ton of employee interaction, but they are always friendly and on the floor removing dishes when you are done. The buffet here isn't huge, but the 8 or so pizzas they have out are always of different varieties. Plus they are always bring out fresh options. The pizza has a good crust, not the paper thin stuff like CiCi's. The sauce has a very good flavor to it. I assume both the sauce and dough are homemade. They offer 1 dessert pizza which I always grab a slice of before I leave. The salad bar has decent options and is always tastes of fresh ingredients. I wish they'd add hard boiled eggs. That's the only thing lacking! Possibly not. It's effective though. The place has multiple tvs always showing sports and a few old school arcade games in the lobby. The only knock on this place is that it is fairly small. It can get decently busy at lunch and people have to always squeeze and bump into other people to get to the buffet since it's in the middle of the floor. Not deducting any stars for this as that's the way the building is laid out. All in all, a good pizza buffet for about $8. read more
