I would not recommend coming here. The server was nice and the food looked good but that was surely not the case. First off, there's a cover charge and they don't tell you until you get the bill. The cover charge is for "live music" which the guy just sang English songs the entire night the least they could've done was sing Brazilian songs. They charge you $3 for tap water. We got the mixed meat platter and it was supposed to come with sausage but it was missing. The food was also not fresh meat, it was definitely reheated meat. Some pieces tasted like they were old meat. There's not a single smell of food cooking in the restaurant and we sat right next to the kitchen (thought that was odd since they specialize in meats). The frozen drinks were terrible. I got a passion fruit and my bf got the guava and both lacked flavor. The food is very expensive and bland, not worth it. I felt bamboozled ! read more

I went to this place for lunch today AT about 11:45-12:00. There was no wait at all. The parking was great! The food is amazing! They Serve such big portions!! The fried pastel is amazing!! So Is the brigadeiro, an amazing Brazilian Sweet! Today I got the dish shrimp catupiry sauce served with rice and fries. I thought it wouldn´t be big enough to me, my mom, a friend, and 2 kids but I was wrong! It was delicious! The dessert for the kids WAS a brazilian flan made with Condensed milk, they Loved it! It's unfortunate to be Brazilian and go to a place like this. The service is horrendous because there isn't enough qualified servers. I blame management. My order come wrong twice. I asked the server to bring me a grilled chicken plate, she suggested a dish. We weren't happy with it and asked if we could get something else instead. The server denied and we were charged. The rest of the food was decent. I was happy with the "farofa," or toasted maniac flour. The picanha was nothing especial. The music was low and we could barely hear the musician singing. Thus, we were stuck listening to everyone else's chatting. It was a little too bright, ambience lighting would've been better for a bar. I wouldn't go there again. I was debating between 2 and 3 stars... I'll say 2.5. I had high hopes, the food on the menu looked fantastic and the place busy. I'll start with the good: Server was super nice, they even offered to heat up my to-go food after dining in. Portions are huge, shrimp risotto was tasty. The bad: The wine glass I got was dirty, with a ton of stuff floating inside. I waited awhile for the server, but finally just went up to the bar. That's all fine, things happened, but then the server came up and said my salmon would take awhile because they need to "cook it to perfection". Well sadly when it arrived, it was way overcooked. I broke it up to small pieces right away so it wouldn't cook further, but it was highly dissapointing. I didn't complain since I had already sent the wine back. Some people like their salmon well done, but I wish they would have informed me. I find overcooking ruins the fish, and I could barely eat it. I did not when pack it to-go, I just took the risotto. Overall not the best experience, but the servers look like they are trying very hard, so at least I feel they care about your experience. read more

I have been here a number of times and since they opened they were very good traditional Brazilian food and priced fairly. The last couple of times the I've noticed the prices had really gone up significantly but what really got to me today was the fact that my mother wanted octopus & in wanting to please her I decided to share a serving of 4 supposedly with her as the plate was 80.00 and I thought well 40.00 per person for octopus would be acceptable should the octopus be of good quality and prepared properly but I was beyond disappointed when I saw that it was not even octopus they advertise something that it really is not....we are from Portugal where octopus is served in just about every restaurant so yes we know it well this was calamari which you cannot say or price the same as octopus so needless to say today would be the last time I go to this restaurant. I was visiting from South Florida and decided to give this place a try. Service was amazing. Everyone was extremely nice and welcoming. There are two prices listed on the menu, I figured maybe it was half meal and full meal? Turns out it's for 2 people, and 4 or 6 people. I can't quite remember. However it was still lovely. We got 4 steaks, a side of French fries and Egg Forofa (unsure of the spelling). The food was very different. The steak was delicious. It was a very interesting taste (wasn't nasty) just different from what I'm used to. This was my first time trying Brazilian food and it was a great experience. The place is cool, we made not reservation and were able get a table in a few minutes. They spoke to us in Portugués although we spoke English and Spanish. It is hard to understand certain words. We had questions on the menu and ask in English were answered on Portuguese. We order fries and the waiter couldn't tell us what we order came with fries so we end up with 2 large orders of fries. We meant to order steak it seems like what we got was pork it was confusing the portuguese so we didn't understand well. It was delicious but we wanted speak. Menu is not clear. read more

I like trying something new, so tried this place. It was crowded, which seemed ok. Live music, and busy. The food looked good. Size portion was big. I tried a popular Brazilian drink. Pass. They over killed with the amount if lime slices. So the drink was more bitter than popular. My husband ordered grill chicken with rice and fries. I ordered what is the Italian version of chicken parm. Homemade Mariana sauce was good, 3 pieces of chicken, over cooked drowning in sea of cheese. My husband grilled chicken didn't looked fully cooked. The broccoli rice was under whelping. No flavor, bland. What was shocking at the end was the price. A cover charge to enter a restaurant?! They added the tip(even though the server looked bored and we waited long for drinks than food). $120.00 for 2 people was alot! Didn't understand the cover charge or having the tip added without asking. Lesson learned, 1st time trying, last time going. Well at least my dog will like all the left overs. read more

We enjoyed another dinner tonight. We haven't had the service problems we did our first time and the food is always outstanding. We had a late Sunday lunch here. We were in a party of 6 + 1 child. Got sit quickly but one of the tables were very wobbly and no one from the restaurant offered to fix the problem, to the point one of us ended up placing a folded paper to stop the wobble. Drinks came fast and the beer was perfect on a frosty mug. We order some appetizers - Empanadas were great, the shrimp on fried yucca balls were ok a little cold inside and the Bolinho de Feijoada were actually very cold inside, sent it back they brought 4 more and those were still cold inside at that point I said forget it, but waitress insisted so I sent it back and they microwaved that batch and they came back steaming but lost the crunch, at that point they should have taken those of the bill ... but they did not. From the place where I was seating I could see the place where the orders were sent out to the tables and I saw one the window managers guys eating something out of one of the guests orders. That really turned me off. I did not say anything at the time and maybe I should have, but It was quite disturbing. We placed our orders. 3 couples Each couple orders one dish to share with each other. The food took very long to come out. Couple #1 food came in and after that, we waited about 20 minutes for the other two orders to come out. So we watch them eat then they watched us eat it was so bad. Our order was Filet mignon on madeira sauce with crazy rice and fried yucca. The Rice was cold, the meat that was supposed to be Filet mignon did not taste of felt like filet mignon, it was actually a bit tough to cut and eat. The fried yucca was fine. Our waitress was slow and never asked how our meal was. Only aske if I needed more drinks once then she got entertained with some folks she personally knew and took forever to take our desert orders. The pettit gatteau was fine so was the flan. Restaurant decor was nice but the place was very noisy. We were very excited about this place as it is a well known restaurant in Rio de janeiro but it was not a good experience at $70 for 2 people. 18% gratuity was included and I was not happy about that . The food is amazing and the dishes are huge even for individual size, it's a lot!! 2 people can easily enjoy the individual regular portion. We decided to try Manolo's in Windermere, especially since it's new and we always try to support new neighborhood businesses. Sadly, our experience was less than stellar. For starters, upon entering the hostess was on a phone call and didn't even look up to acknowledge our presence for well over 2 minutes. Just as we were about to leave due to lack of acknowledgment, the hostess got off the phone and sat us at a table no more than 36" from the hostess stand. The seating inside is very strange and makes for an uncomfortable dining experience; when the hostess/stand is essentially a guest at your table due to proximity it makes for an awkward dining experience. The food was decent (I'd recommend the Crazy Rice), but the service was unwelcoming to say the least. It's always nice when servers or restaurant staff come to your table to ask if everything's ok, or ask if they can get you anything; however, when 3 different restaurant employees come to your table continuously, in rotation, it gives you the sense they're trying to rush you out the door. We didn't see anyone else being asked this many times by this many employees, so we took the hint and paid our bill. Our dining experience was 48 minutes, which isn't extensive for 3 appetizers and 3 drinks between 2 people. Overall, I'd say the staff is unwelcoming, the ambience isn't great (the fluorescent lighting over the bar area is harsh), and the food was only a 5/10 in my opinion. The drinks were decent, but there are other options in our neighborhood with better service and a more welcoming atmosphere than Manolo's. Unfortunately I doubt we'll be returning. read more

This restaurant has a beautiful and comfortable space with options to sit at the bar, high chairs, or sofas. They are very nice and polite and they have amazing food! Everytime we went there, they were having live shows and the singer is very good! We've had great times. The price is very good and worth's each penny! They also make Caipirinha which is a cocktail from Brazil and it's very good! You should try it. All the menu is written in Portuguese and English but if you have any question, they will be there to help you. During COVID time all of its workers are wearing masks and they offer hand sanitizer on all tables. You must wear a mask to enter the restaurant. read more

After we ordered We felt very awkward as a few waiters kept asking to confirm what we had ordered as if it was inadequate and kept explaining how the fish was handled. Once we finally received our order the fish was extremely salty and it only came smothered in mashed potatoes. After 2 cups of water a pineapple juice and small tray of food, we received a check for $73 18% tip included. A bit expensive due to no sides accompanying. This place is awesome!!! I have visited this place multiple times with my family. From the great drinks to the large menu that represents the Brazilian cuisine so well, I highly recommend this place. Live music on weekends, a great environment for everyone, including kids. The last time I went, I was so impressed with everything that I asked to speak with management. To my surprise, Marcelo "the owner" came and I was able to see why everything is going so well.
