I can't recommend this place highly enough. Newbury Park desperately needed a low key tasting room such as this. The service is incredible here and all the employees seem to know a great deal about beer. Don't hesitate to ask them to recommend something, they haven't steered me wrong yet. Cool little hole in the wall place with a good selection of crafty beers. The interior looks a little basic and boring, but I know people that own really run down looking bars, but the experience and service was up to par. My experience here I would say was ok. We weren't warmly greeted until we sat down at the bar. My 3 star rating is based more so on the service I've received nothing more. I ordered their #8 libertine framboise and it was too sour for me. One older guy came up and asked if the framboise is delicious or what. I responded that I didnt like it very much because it smelt like dirty feet. He chuckled and gave me a look like he didnt know how to respond other than "ok..... Well framboise are sour." Ive tasted framboise at other places and this one just doesnt taste good in my opinion. Long story short, instead of making me sound like I never tasted framboise beer in my life, he should have asked me if he could replace it with something else. My beer was just sitting and my brother in law felt bad for a wasted beer so he drank it. After my glass was empty another person ask if I want anything else and I said no. They clearly knew I didnt like the beer and there was no acknowledgement if I wanted anything else to replace it. At the end, it was still added to our bill which we paid and left. read more

If we could do half stars this would be a 4.5. This is a beer bar that doesn't serve food, although there are several restaurants nearby that do and from what I understand you can bring food in to eat. The decor is nice if a little sparse, but overall everything was clean and nice. They have a good number beers on tap and from the two times I've been seen to rotate the taps pretty regularly. They have a good mix of styles, with a few sours, several IPAs, lagers, porters, etc. I pretty much know what I like so I didn't need any help from the bartenders but I overheard them speaking with some other customers and they seemed knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the beer. There is also a room full of bottles that you can buy to take home. The only real knock I have on the place is the price. It's a specialty place, they have hard to find beers, I get that, it's just still a bit higher than I'm used to even among other specialty beer bars. They aren't outrageous, just enough to make this a "once a month" type of place instead of a "twice a month" type of place. The bottles are also pretty expensive compared to what you would pay at a beer store, although again you will find some things here you wouldn't there. Overall if you're a craft beer fan in the area you owe it to yourself to check their tap list and head on in when you see a few you like. Good service, good location, good beer. read more

I stopped here the first time after dinner at Sumo and loved it. I think the manager or owner was pouring and he had good suggestions and was very friendly. Cute spot. I think you can order food from the restaurants in the building and eat here. Good sours and saisons. read more

This is an excellent place to go to in Newbury Park! I went to a near by restaurant in the area and came here to try their selection of craft ales. I was very impressed. Friendly place, friendly staff, they knew their Crafts. I would highly recommend this place to enjoy a craft ale or to go to after dinner and enjoy the time out longer. read more

I was very disappointed with the service at this establishment. My wife and I were hoping to just relax for a bit and taste some beer given the variety at this place, but it took nearly 5 mins or so for the waiter and waitress working at the time to acknowledge and come over to our table. It wasn't until I made eye contact with the waiter while he was cleaning a table that he said he'll be right back to take our order. We noticed that other parties came in after us and were greeted, told the specials and received their beers in a shorter time than it took the waiter and waitress to acknowledge us. Also, the waiter who orginally served our beer never came back to check on us or even ask if we wanted to try another beer. Since we felt that we weren't welcome, we decided to close our tab after one drink. When I went to the bar the waitress asked "oh, were we ignoring you?" I guess it was pretty obvious to her and was on her conscious that we weren't being taken care of. After I responded and a bit of silence she further asked "If I was from around here". Yes, I replied. I'm not sure what that had to do with the poor service we were provided. Do you ask all your first time guests that question? It was obvious to me that there was a certain level of discrmination being exhibited. I will not visit Bottle and Pint again nor will I recommend it. I will be sure that people that ask me about the place are aware of my experience. read more

A small eclectic place for a great selection of craft beers on tap. They have beers from lot of microbreweries in southern California and always have a great selection for everyones taste. They dont have any food, but they order it from nearby restaurants and has good options for bar food. So they'll get you the food, but since they have it order it from other places and then pick it up, it always takes little long. read more

Hands down one of (if not the BEST) place to have a beer. My friends and I have been here a few times and have had a great experience each time. It was my birthday on Saturday (3/21) and a week prior I arranged to have some tables reserved for our party. We had about 15 people more then expected and they were very accommodating. The beer there is always top notch. The service is beyond superb. The owners and employees are fantastic and very knowledgeable about all their beers.
