Two of the BEST bartender's ever!!

What great little local spot in Newbury Park. Been coming off and on for years and they still have a great vibe. Great service from Lauren, Missi, and the rest of the crew there. You're treated like family, they remember your name and what you like to drink. They know exactly what they're serving and can pair you up with whatever fits your pallet of flavor. Whether it's beer, wine, or seltzer there's definitely something for you. Come have a drink before your dinner reservations and stay for karaoke sessions on Saturday's. Weather' its a day or night its always a fun time here. For a casual drink and atmosphere with some laughs come on out and a great time.

This place is fantastic! Quality beer with a variety to choose from. They have a beer fridge that you can grab some to go or crack open to enjoy while relaxing at the bar. The beer tenders are wonderful! Lauren is amazing and will help you pick the right beer for you. The atmosphere is always fun and keeps me coming back. This is one of my favorite local spots in Newbury park for me and the wife! Bottle and Pint Rocks!

Similar to their other store in the Collection, but being out in Newbury Park had a way different vibe! It was a nice happy hour spot filled with locals catching up, and new folks like myself being able to select from their large selection of craft brews. I had the Knuckle Head Red, and the nice amber color and taste had the perfect mix of malty and smooth, a perfect way to wind down the day! The atmosphere was clean, the bartender was nice and knowledgeable about the offerings, a great place to check out if you're in the area!

Great spot for quality beer. Always something to learn. When you're sick of the same shitty beers on tap, this is the destination.

He was in a lengthy, loud conversation with 1 lady sitting at the bar. There was one other man eating, at the table next to us, he was an employee. I had to go up to the bar and mentioned to him it was our first time here. He didn't seem to volunteer, any information on how to order, until I asked him. Then he just said there is a number on the table to order. I asked if he had a menu, he seemed bothered that I asked for a menu. He mentioned I could order from the hostess, so I did. She was very nice and polite and took our order. While waiting for the pizza, trying to get the napkin dispenser on the table to work. They were not even popping up to use. Bar tender ignored the tapping the dispenser on the table. So I switched one dispenser from another table to ours. He never said a word when I tried to get the napkins to pop up. The bartender looked and took the faulty ones and placed them on the bar counter, and never tended to the problem. He didn't even say anything, not a sorry about that, He just continued talking to the lady. Pizza was delivered and we had a few slices left. I just went to the hostess and asked her for a box. She was very fast and we thanked her on our way out. He did not do anything behind the bar, other than talk to the lady. Then he served her a drink, and then waved his hand over the screen, it appeared he didn't charge her for the drink, He did not type in anything. Then a man walked in and sat at the bar, he ordered a beer. Then suddenly bar tender, has lots of work to do, moving around the bar like he is supposed to. It was like someone knows somebody in the business. He was slacking and ignoring us, he never asked, is everything okay or if we needed a pizza box to go, I was already asking the hostess for a box. Probably because I got my own napkins, because I didn't want to interrupt him talking to the lady. We will not be going back to the 999 pizza Tiki bar. I am giving 1 star for the bar service. 5 Stars to the hostess.

A bit pricey for a bar pizza but tasty and large enough for the two of us to share. A scoop of their house made ice cream for dessert. Now that was quite good. I'd been wanting to go back and take Dear Hubby to enjoy this very special re-imagining of the previous space, which had been an Irish pub incarnation. When our sister-in-law and two nieces were in town, the five of us were able to spend a quick evening together at Selvin's. We had been working on a project at our house, and by the time we got finished and ready to go out there wasn't a lot of time left as we went on a weeknight and they close at 9:00. I'm surprised that having a full bar, and being attached to a hotel property, that they would hang it up so early - even 9:30 or 10:00 would make more sense. It's such a charming place; seems a shame to have to call it a night so early. The ambiance is absolutely divine, especially out here in suburbia. It's very innovative in its layout. The lighting was carefully planned and is very effective in creating a special mood. And, what can be said about the wall of roses? It's tailor-made for snapping fun photos, that's for sure. The chef is sending out creative and Dee-Licious dishes from the kitchen. Yes, I know how to spell delicious, but it is worth adding the accented flair to stating the fact that this is a cut above many other dining establishments in the Conejo Valley. Dear Hubby and I shared Pappardelle Pasta and a Tuna Tartare appetizer. Both were excellent. One of our nieces ordered the taco platter. Wait till you see the photo. The only thing that was disappointing, menu-wise, was that bread wasn't included, so we ordered some as a side. Two little slices. I've forgotten the price, but I recall that it turned into sticker shock when we saw what was served. I'm tickled that they offer a nice array of zero proof cocktail options. They aren't inexpensive - apparently spirits without alcohol aren't any less (or maybe only slightly less?) than the full-spirited options. Still, it's nice to have the option. Our out of town family members LOVED Selvin's; it was a big hit with all of us. As an added bonus, there was a guitarist playing beautiful acoustic music when we arrived and were seated in the lounge area. Major extra credit!

It's the perfectly curated trio - Dirty Martini, followed by a well dressed crisp Cesar salad, and perfectly hot Truffle French fries. That's girl dinner in a nutshell (trust us on this combo). On their speciality menu it's called "Martinis and Munchies for Two" for $49. An amazing deal split between two friends. Dirty Martini: Some of the best ice cold martinis on this side of town. These cocktails were crafted to perfection and were always a sucker for the blue cheese stuffed olives. Tossed Cesar Salad: A Cesar salad during these hot summer months always hits the spot. Crisp, cold and fresh. The dressing was solid but I must highlight the lightly scattered capers on this salad - so smart and so tasty! Truffle French Fries: After a few martinis these French fries come in clutch. Crispy, hot and perfectly salted - who doesn't love a French fry and an aioli with a kick. Honorable Mention: PASTA. I was very impressed with my pasta dish here. Ordered the pappardelle bolognese and this pasta was a 10/10. Perfectly cooked ribbons of pasta with a hearty meat sauce and the Stracciatella topping sealed the deal for me on this pasta. We had a fabulous girls dinner from start to finish. The ambience at Selvin's is truly magical and we just love the decor and bar area. We had a cozy little booth to ourselves and the service was top-notch from start to finish. Extra kudos to Claudia for being a bubbly, lovely girls girl who was super attentive to us during our meal and made the night A+. Can't wait to come back soon.
