Their "pick two" lunch special allows you to try a number of their great options in half portions, including their soups, the burger, the patty melts, the delicious BLT, and their garden and caesar salads. The service here is good, and they also have a kiosk you can walk up to and order when it's busy. If I had a complaint, the interior ambiance of the restaurant is hurt by all the dirty tables, the dishes left around, and the very dirty floor. I dropped in to Boudin SF because I haven't been here in awhile and I was so content! Teresa G. at the register assisted me and she was suchba delightful and happy lady. I asked her about a couple pastries and the tuna melt. "Are they great?" I asked. She quickly responded "Everything here is great!" Done deal! She wasn't wrong. They have THE BEST TUNA MELT here! It was so fresh and quite yummy! A tasty morsel indeed! The lady cleaning the tables (her name was V) was attentive to the other customers and kept everything cleared and neat. The girl taking our order was really rude. We asked her if there was a kids menu since it's not displayed and she looked at us and looked back down at I don't know what and didn't say anything. Luckily I noticed the kids menu options on the paper menu. Then while actually placing the order you could barely hear her, she looked annoyed at everything, even as she helped others after us. At the end we got a receipt and there was no thank you, here's your receipt, nothing. I understand customer service is not prioritized anymore but the lease employees at a food service could answer questions when asked. I ordered the Tuna Salad Sandwich, which was pretty tasty and had a very nice tuna flavor. I don't like tomatoes but to my surprise, the tomatoes were very sweet and actually complimented the sandwich very well. I think we waited 20 minutes for the food when all they had to do was scoop premade soup into a bread bowl. It is my regular stop whenever I am in Orange County. It's a quick exit off the freeway and a great lunch spot. I love Boudin so much that I come to this location almost once a month. I find an excuse to drive down from LA & always hit it up. Customer service is always top notch and the food is always delicious! I will say it seems like portions have gone town a tad, but it is what it is. If it keeps prices consistent I guess that's fine. There is a women who works here (I can't remember her name unfortunately) who has been here for years. And she's amazing and gives great service and is the best. My mom, sis, and I stopped in for a quick lunch while Black Friday shopping. We all ordered the pick a pair combos. We had a little wait and when the employee brought our food to us he literally threw it down on the table. It was so jolting that it seemed like he had dropped the plates but that was actually his method of delivering food. A little on the rude side. I had the half Italian classic with the Asian chicken salad. The sandwich didn't have much meat in it, a slice of mortadella and a couple of salami slices. It was ok but the crust on the sourdough bread was really tough. The Asian chicken salad was good even though there was literally 3 pieces of chicken on top. On their website you can upgrade the side for the sandwiches to a salad or soup. But the cashier can't? They don't have side salads or side soups.
