Their real hours are: M-S 8 - 9 Sun 8 - 8 Very nice restaurant with very pleasant staff. Service was quick. The restaurant was warm and comfortable on this cold Sunday morning. This is my favorite eatery to stop at when I'm passing by Vacaville. I ALWAYS get a bowl of clam chowder, and add a grilled cheese if I'm extra hungry. Nothing really beats the soup and bread combo they have going on, Boudin 100% blows Panera out of the water. Not only is the staff always nice, but the dining area stays clean and they are extremely kind if you need anything at your table. For food, I recommend the clam chowder bread bowl or the grilled cheese with bacon depending on your mood. For dessert afterwards, you could checkout Fenton's down the street for my favorite ice cream, or Krispy Kreme next door! read more

Boudin SF, it's an amazing place especially since its right off the coast of California. Amazing views, and also on the Embarcadero which is very new and revamped lol. But again, Boudin SF a staple for San Francisco, nice clam chowder, and even some potatoes for that nice cool bay breeze. Boudin SF has to be my favorite fast casual bakery I have tried. With many like it that I have found to be overpriced for the quality and quantity of the food you receive, I am yet to be disappointing by Boudin in both those areas. The ingredients are always fresh and the portions are always plentiful. And with many options on the menu from salads, sandwiches, soups, and burgers it is impossible not to find something to satisfy you. My go-to always seems to be the Best of Boudin Half Sandwich (Cold only) and Half Salad. Unlike other bakeries, particularly a chain I will refrain from naming, you actually do get what you pay for in terms of abundance. The salad is always well composed with more than just lettuce and the sandwich, or soup, depending on what you chose in the BB is always generously made. The positive atmosphere delivered by the employees is also what keeps me coming back. I appreciate their hustle and bustle while still making sure that every customer is happy and satisfied. And while this place is always busy, especially around lunch time, the scramble for a table to eat is well worth it. Sad to write this review as we have been gig fans of this location. But our visit for this evening was incredibly disappointing. Seems like the service and food quality has declined. There was less than 10 parties dining in. In the past our food usually came out in about 5 minutes and it was more crowded. We waited and so did others almost 15 minutes. The soda machine was out of carbonated water so all the drinks were flat. I told 2 people - 35 minutes later, it still hasn't been changed. Great food but experience bad service. While checking out the customer infront of me asked for his cookies and the young lady at register asked him are you sure I didn't give them to you? Like if he was lying. Her name was Emily F. Then we when got our food I ordered the salad and soup combo and I asked if I could get a dinner roll. Normally it comes with the meal. Girl who brought our food told me I'll give you one but normally you have to order it at the register. I thought that was horrible customer service. We love to go to boudin and hey freshy made soup around 9 am as every one we have been to has it ready to go by then but this location says they dont do that until 1030-1100....not sure why cause your losing out on business, I know we wouldn't have came here if we had known they didn't have soup until 1030. Always happy when I come here. I enjoy their Waldorf salad, rustic tomato soup, and their seasonal chicken soba noodle salad. On occasion I'll have a sandwich, but this is a perfect soup and salad place if that's what you're in the mood for. I can't say much about the bread because I'm not exactly a sourdough kind of girl. 5/14/19 - My Cousin and I were coming home from a Mother's Day Trip and needed to stop and eat, it doesn't make sense to go home and cook when you are coming home. So what better way to end a fabulous trip then to stop at Boudin!!! It was my cousin's first time here, she knew that it is one of my favorites and knew that I had never been to this one outside of Stockton and downtown San Francisco restaurants. This one was very quiet! I ordered the SF combo: turkey & havarti with a Caesar salad and she ordered the combo with clam chowder and half turkey & havarti. She was very impressed with the clam chowder and the menu choices. She loves Brie with apples and saw some options she said that she would come back and try since she often passes through Vacaville coming from work. She also found out that I am member of the Boudin Club and asked me some questions about how it works! I took my fresh bread home to enjoy toasted with butter on another day. I didn't eat all my food, so I took my leftovers home to eat later, and it seemed like it tasted even better. There are many places that are similar to Boudin; however, most of them are overpriced and I often leave feeling like I was underfed. This is absoultly not the case when it come to Boudin. The inside of Boudin is confortable and relaxing. Possibly the best part is the fact that you get to see the bakery side of the restaurant through the glass. It is always nice to see the behind the scenes of a place. As for the food, well you really cant go wrong. The breed bowls are increadible. Good experience! We were four hungry people looking for a quick pit stop for lunch between Natomas Sacramento to our destination in Oakland. The Nut Tree in Vacaville seemed to be the perfect place to stop. One of us is a vegan so we decided to stop here at Boudin's because there is something here for everyone. We walked in and the restaurant was full! There was a line but at least the line didn't go out the door and it went quickly so wasn't too bad. There were two (maybe all three?) registers open so ordering our food went fast. Couldn't decide between The Great with Bacon (grilled cheese) or a Best of Boudin... I opted to get the sourdough bread bowl / half sandwich combo option. Our order came within 10 mins max? Service was great! My tuna half sandwich was delicious, no complaints! My clam chowder soup on sourdough bread bowl was tasty as well. Love their sourdough bread! Definitely satisfied the hunger. The dining area was clean and there were friendly servers around coming often to clear your table or ask you if you need anything ('to go' boxes, etc). The restroom was clean too! This location seems to be bigger than the one we have at the Fountains in Roseville. There is patio seating as well. Parking can be a challenge as there is also a Krispy Kreme, Yogurt Shoppe, and Chipotle nearby. I had a long day and wanted something fast and not too heavy..... Walked in took a minute to get through the one person line. Finally got to the register, no real grating or anything just can I take ur order. So I ordered the jalapeño grill with the clam chowder instead of apple/chips that came with the sandwich and an ice tea. Ice tea was 5 ***** :-) usually fresh brewed tea isn't so fresh an hour before closing. Yet this one was pretty good and didn't taste old and was still warm. I got the food and was slightly disappointed with the presentation of my plate. Soup on the side of the cup. Cup half full sandwiched kind of sloppy... taste wise was good. Located across from Best Buy in the Nut Tree Boudin shares a strip mall with Krispy Creme and Chipotle. Unfortunately with big food names like these, the parking lot is entirely to small and you will probably have to search for a spot if you come during lunch or dinner hours. What can you say about Boudin? The building itself is large for a Boudin and even has a covered, heated outside patio as well. We ordered their soup/half sammie and soup/ half salad deal both are about $8 plus $1 if you want your chowder in a bread bowl. The sourdough is baked fresh on site and you can watch the bread being made ala a see through window along the food ordering counter. Ordering is handled cafeteria style with your food being brought to your table. The food is tasty and fresh with good quality. I didn't find anything bad, but nothing outstanding either. The chowder was slightly runny and the clams are canned but the flavor was still good. I can't say that I really liked this place, but it wasn't bad either. If your craving sourdough and chowder this is a good choice. If you just want lunch, Panerra might be a better choice for soup and sammies. read more

This Boudin SF location completely blew me away. Stunned. Living in San Francisco for four years, I've enjoyed going to Boudin restaurants. The Boudin SF in Vacaville is a newer Boudlin location. It's very new and easy to get to. From ordering the food to eating at the tables, the servers were attentive and friendly. They took to the time speak with us to see how we were doing as well as cleared any finished plates very quickly. These guys were on the ball! And now, the food. When I think of Boudin I think of sourdough bread and clam chowder. Getting the clam chowder in a bread bowl is a must for anyone new to Boudin. The chowder is just right, and pairs perfectly with the crusty bread bowl and top that it comes with. The chowder is comforting. but not overly heavy or filling.You just want more and more of it! Boudin also has a great selection of sandwiches. My standard sandwich is the turkey and havarti cheese combo. This place rocks!!! I love the food at Boudin. The turkey avocado with a side of tomato soup is to die for. So delicious!. They even use a wheat bread which inherently can be dry-- but not theirs. It is fresh, creamy, moist and tasty. My kids love coming here too. The sourdough burgers and grilled cheese is their favorite. There can be long wait times, parking it sparse and seating can be tight during busy times (lunch) but it is well worth it. Went in there today for breakfast around 11:00am and no line and there was a cashier in the front a African American girl and she totally ignored us like she was looking at something on the register but she did not acknowledge us. It pains me to write this, as I wanted to love Boudin, but it was a little disappointing. The first time I visited, I got a bacon breakfast sandwich, which was pretty good, but nothing special. The second time, I came for dinner. I ordered the sourdough patty melt, thinking it looked delicious on their marketing photos. Boy was I wrong. The "all natural beef" patty was not good. It didn't taste like a burger at all. The patty was gray, with the ends burnt. The taste was way off. My partner tasted it and pointed out that it tasted like sausage without all of the seasoning. The gray parts of the patty were a strange texture, as well, almost like the burger had been cooked by steaming it-- kind of mushy. Luckily, the cheese and onions provided enough flavor to mask the burger taste so I could finish the meal. While I was disappointed with my dinner choice, I still have to give them another chance and maybe order something a little more safe-- like grilled cheese, chili, or soup. read more

The parking lot was jammed when we arrived on a Thursday at around noon with a steady stream of people entering but we didn't have to wait long at all to order. They have an extensive menu of salads and sandwiches. You order at the counter, are given a number to take to your table and then the food is delivered pretty quickly to your table. Employees are continually roaming the dining area to clear plates and provide items, such as boxes for leftovers. I had the turkey avocado sandwich. The menu lists it as being on multigrain bread but why go to Boudin and not eat sourdough so they happily substituted the bread. The best part of the sandwich was the bread, the contents were so-so. A nice casual place with enough choices to satisfy the meat eater, the vegetarian, the gluten free, and most other types of eaters. read more
