The truck owner was super friendly and helpful as I contemplated between two bowls and which size to get. I ended up getting the regular size Original Gangster sans coconut flakes. It was filled with the acai blend, and topped with granola, honey, banana slices, and blueberries. The size was perfect for me. Ingredients are super fresh as well. I ordered the regular original gangster. I was pleasantly surprised by the bowl. It's similar to a smoothie with fruits and granola on top. I enjoyed the bowl as it was very fresh and woke me up. I was headed to Blue Bottle this morning to feed by caffeine addiction when I saw Bowl'D Acai parked out front. I really needed a detox from all the coffee and unhealthy foods I've been eating while traveling for work so I decided to get breakfast from Bowl'D Acai instead! I'm glad I did. At first glance, the poke portions seemed a bit meager, but actually turned out to be decently sizeable, especially given the 3/4" chunks they have. Flavor-wise, I found it to be a bit lacking-- the tuna was not fishy at all, but could have been a tad brighter in color. The edges were not the sharpest, suggesting it had been cut a bit earlier. 3/5. The flavor was pretty salty, not gonna lie, and became even saltier with the salted rice. Oof, that rice was way too salty. I appreciated the flavored-ness of the rice, but the unshelled kernels were not so great. 2/5. The macadamia nuts were a nice touch, but not the crunchiest, suggesting they may have sat in the moist container for a while. The honey / granola layer in the acai bowl was super sweet, which is nice if that's what you're looking for. As others have mentioned, the acai here is a bit more icy than those I've had at other spots. The acai itself was not otherwise sweetened, which I do prefer. This review is for their $15 Poke Bowl. I feel like I just bought a very expensive bowl of brown rice with a bit of fish topping. Despite poke being a relatively simple dish -- fish and rice -- there's a lot that goes into making it great. There's the freshness of the ingredients; the fish, obviously, in particular. There's the quality of the rice. The sauce. And, how generous they are for the price. Bowl'D Acai does a solid job on the quality of the food (the sauce is a bit plain, but made up for with sesame seeds and just the right amount of peanuts sprinkled on top). Where they clearly lose out is on how generous they are with their fish, for what is effectively $15. I'm happy to pay a premium but I'm finishing a bowl right now (which I made sure to mix up in another bowl) but with one piece of fish and a lot of rice per bite, you run out of fish VERY quickly. And here I am writing this review, looking at a bowl of brown rice. It's not a great feeling when you've just paid $15. read more

Started my weight loss journey a few months ago and I have to say this company has been a great add on to my weight loss journey! My favorite items on there are endless but I take a Double flu shot everyday and I feel as if this particular item has kept me healthy, brings me energy and mostly has kept me from getting sick during Covid. I had some time to kill before running errands and before the retail stores open. I ended up getting the green Goliath (spinach and hemp protein- the difference). and I had theological gangster toppings(because I'd rather have blueberries than Goji berries).
