    Avocado smoothie and Tofu Bibimbap
    Hannah W.

I am taking one star off because they only use disposable plastic bowls, cups and utensils with no recycling. When shopping at Palisades Mall, my daughter and I felt the need to have an afternoon snack, so we decided to try this new place. We shared an avocado smoothie and a Tofu Bibimbap - both were very nice, although the bibimbap was, naturally, an edited version of the authentic original. Still, it was tasty and filling (good value) - so filling that my daughter had very little dinner that night :-)

Tapsilog (marinated beef) and Longsilog (sweet sausage)

My usual and highly recommended dish at this place is the Tapsilog (sweet-salty-peppery marinated beef, garlic rice, egg and side veggies) and their huge halo-halo (shaved ice dessert). I took off one star as it sometimes requires patience to get your food. It is a mom and pop place and sometimes just one person working, but for me, it is worth the wait for some delicious food.

The Bibimbap, a bowl of rice topped with an array of individually prepared vegetables and ground turkey, served with a gochujang sauce and topped with a fried egg was so delicious. I loved the bite of hot sauce and the creaminess of the egg yolk mixed with the rice. This came at a bargain price and I very much recommend this small restaurant located within the Palisades Center Mall. As I was there on a Wednesday after the lunch rush the service and food prep was all done with a staff of one! Great Job!

    SPAMSILOG with chicken skewers adobo
    Darren G.

Came by here for lunch, to try something new at the mall. Ordered the SPAMSILOG, the piece of spam was cut perfectly and fried just right with charing it. Loved the egg, but could used a second one, since that runny yolk was great with the rice. Also never thought dried minced garlic would work on rice, but they made me a fan of it. Chicken adobo, was grilled well, charred bit, but not burnt, well seasoned and very tender. A great small meal, filling but not heavy

5 stars for the halo halo alone because I haven't tried anything else on the menu but I'll keep coming back even just for this. Best halo halo around.

Closed before time states online ( me there at 9 pm when it says it closes at 930 )

Apparently, they close whenever and not what their hours say online. Flew here to get here before 9 ( says they close at 930p ) I show up at 9 on the dot and gates down... Don't put hours online if you aren't going to follow them!

The food is a mix of Asian cuisine (Korean and Filipino). The quality of ingredients is fresh. I ordered the Silog ( Sausage, rice , egg, fresh cucumbers, and cherry tomatoes), left me full and very satisfied. I would definitely come and eat here again.

This Asian fusion spot in a nondescript plaza has a large menu with a lot of small plates/street food, baos (with varying fillings), tacos/quesadillas/tostadas, curry, traditional Asian dishes, poutine, burgers, noodles like pad thai and plenty of veg-friendly items. We most enjoyed the chicken empanadas (generous filling, good flavor), cod tacos, and vegetarian spring rolls. The tofu lettuce wrap didn't have a strong flavor even though it seemed to have a lot of sauce. The beef Jerky (a bit tough and chewy) and vegetarian dumplings were okay, but not favorite items. We didn't order any items that were larger portion and it's very easy to rack up the bill with $9-12 small bites. Inside, you could forget that you're in suburbia because this place is pretty trendy. There's artwork and words on the wall and the menu tries to be clever (succeeds in some ways but not necessarily to grammar snobs). There's a 3% surcharge for credit card purchases. There's a Chinese food restaurant and Taimoca coffee place in the plaza as well.

We ordered the softshell crab, portobello bulgoggi and chicken lettuce wraps for appetizers. The portobello bulgoggi was my favorite of the 3. The softshell crab was good, but it was a bit heavy with the batter and I couldn't taste much crab. For the main meal, our group ordered the chicken Roti, coconut garlic rice with both chicken and duck, and a garlic ramen. The coconut garlic rice was very nice, but the duck while tasty, was battered and fried. All the dishes were good but all the dishes were heavily seasoned and a bit heavy. Next time, I would lighten up the meal with a salad. Interesting menu and worth a try.

While I do love the duck breast and lamb chops included with the Classic package, we all felt Essentials was enough for this visit. Celia was our waitress. While things were a little slow getting started, once our first order went in, the food started flying out. Everything we ordered throughout the evening arrived much faster than it did on my previous visit. The menu makes it sound like they'll throttle you to only a couple of items at a time, but that really wasn't our experience. We were consistently able to order several items per person, so there was always something on the grill, more food on the way, and plenty to keep us chomping away. Our favorites this time? The top blade, brisket, hanger steak, pork belly, and even the salmon ceviche, which was surprisingly refreshing between rounds of grilled meat. We did have a couple of hiccups, but Celia was eager to make things right. After we received the wrong shrimp twice, she took it upon herself to get the manager involved. They tracked down the correct shrimp and brought it out. Thanks! Speaking of the manager, Andy was terrific. After another unpleasantry at our table, he came over and sincerely apologized several times. It was obvious he genuinely wanted to make things right. After we took a quick selfie together, he got us with a few complimentary cocktails. I have to say, anything here with cucumber in it is delicious here. Super refreshing. By the end of the meal, my son was a fluent griller and even said he liked Gyuzo more than the other all-you-can-eat BBQ places we've visited. That's about as good an endorsement as I can give. We'll certainly be back.

Unfortunately, we never even got to eat at the restaurant because of how disorganized the front desk was. We were quoted a 35-45 minute wait and were told to join the Yelp waitlist. We stood nearby the entire time waiting to be called. We never received any notification on our phones, and when we checked the app, our status had somehow changed from "waiting" to "cancelled." When we spoke with the hostess, she apologized and told us to wait because she would seat us next. Instead, we watched four other parties get seated before us. After waiting even longer, we went back to ask what was happening, only to be told it would be another 15-20 minutes. From what we observed, it also seemed like the restaurant was prioritizing seating larger parties over smaller ones. I can't say for certain whether that was their policy, but that's certainly how it appeared from our experience as multiple larger groups were seated while we continued to wait despite being told we were next. I completely understand that popular restaurants get busy, and I have no issue waiting my turn. What I do have an issue with is poor communication and disorganization from the hostess team. Mistakes happen, but telling customers they'll be seated next and then repeatedly seating other parties first is unacceptable. To make matters worse, this was our second night this weekend trying to eat here, and once again we left without ever getting a table. Despite the inconvenience and poor experience, no one offered an apology beyond a brief acknowledgment, nor was there any attempt to make things right or show goodwill for the time we had wasted. The food may be excellent, but we'll never know because the front-of-house experience was so poorly managed. A great restaurant starts with good customer service, and unfortunately, the hostess team left a very poor first impression. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this restaurant.

However, this restaurant ( MIGAM) completely exceeded my expectations! Everything is made with high-quality ingredients, and they prepared my takeout order exactly as I requested. They hit the nail on the head! It was absolute perfection. The broth was rich, thick, and packed with flavor--delightful in every single way. The portion size is so generous that it will easily cover two meals, and I'm sharing some with my husband. It came with four sides (banchan), including kimchi, and I can honestly say it's the best kimchi I've ever had in my life--and I've tried Korean food both in Mexico and here in the U.S. I first visited this restaurant in Tenafly over a year ago when I believe they were just starting out. Back then, I met a woman who I believe is the owner. I am so glad to see they still maintain that same phenomenal quality! They cook with such attention to detail that I no longer have to worry about looking for another place to get this kind of food. We've driven past Don Chicken plenty of times saying, "We have to try this," and on a Friday night we finally made it our date night. The spot itself is simple, with plenty of parking, and fully focused on serving must-try Korean fried chicken. I walked in ready to order one of everything, but the cashier quickly realized I was new and helped narrow it down to chicken, dumplings, and an order of fries. Let me be clear, if you're picturing small buffalo-style wings from a local wing spot, reset your expectations. These were full-size wings. We ordered them plain and soy-glazed, and both were excellent. The dumplings, also soy-glazed, were just as good. From the first bite, the crunch and flavor hit immediately. It wakes up your senses and makes you realize this isn't just chicken. You can taste the care that goes into the prep, and it absolutely shows. Despite being busy, the service was friendly and attentive, which always makes the experience better.
