I called them on Sunday and Devin came out with a show up time of 4-6pm. Well it was Sunday so he looked at the car and said it needed a started which he installed on Tuesday. ( I had AAA come out on Sunday and but in a new battery). Never heard from Devin again and car still would not start he had taken my new battery to have it tested which now voided my 3 year warranty. Now the good cop comes in brings back my battery and says it bad. He installs another new battery, this is Wednesday. He is in the garage about 3 hours mostly on the phone. So he orders more parts when he comes back on Thursday. Friday morning he picks up parts and comes back he installed a few fuses he calls me outside and says good news and bad news. Several years ago I enlisted Gary to fix my Mini Cooper which had died on me and, like I had done before, I gave him money up front to 'get the parts'. This time, no more Gary. When I called him repeatedly he said he would give the money back, almost $600, but I never saw a penny of it. I see good reviews and I see bad reviews similar to mine. It's very confusing. The assistant/driver Paula said that they wouldn't be able to start on the work until the next morning.. unsure of what time in the morning.. the reason was because, rain was in the forecast for 6pm.. it's 2pm when I called.. she gave me the rolling eyes.. and also responded "didn't you read or listen to the news"... I said, sorry where not from here... Well! No rain at 6 or 7 or 8 or 9 or any other time that night or the next day!!!!!!!! 9.. This is the Crucial part of the day.. This company wanted a check, Wich I gave them.. then couldn't cash it, asked for money which we gave them... After I gave the money to the Assistant, I asked her if she had the part she said she was going to go get it! What the hell was she doing all F-ing-day! I felt a scam coming after putting all of the phone calls... The wasted time.. the uncertainty of when the work was going to be done. I asked for the money back... She did give me the money back - minus $40 ( really for what).. but we could of be scammed for $300.. almost $400. If I had given all of the money up front. Called the bank the next day!.... There was never an issue with cashing the check..... I never even went to cash it!!!..... Took advantage, knowing prior if we had to pay for the work in cash we were able to do so... Scam... They are great actors In the End we took it to a Toyota dealership... It was the Ignition key starter.. not the car Starter that they said was the problem.. We also ended paying less than what Brake mobile qouted.. Wasted our last day on our Family Vacation and if they had been honest... I came to Gary to get my truck fixed and not only did he steal my money and not fix my truck but he kept pretending like he was going to fix and and each time he went to look at my truck took more apart of it and charged my a higher bill! I went just to get a serpentine belt from Gary, when he went to do this job he found my battery was dead so he replaced my battery but took 7 days to come back with my belt, leaving my helpless and confused as to why I hired him. Once he put the belt in my truck it would not long start, he had messed up the wiring in my truck so I had to call him back to fix it. When I called him back to fix my wiring he had taken my truck apart and told him I had to pay him to fix it. I just wanted a simple job done to my truck and not my truck in not even operable as he has taken it apart taken my money and I can longer use my truck! This guy is a thief! It's been less than 5 years since I made the ultimate mistake of contacting this company for auto services. My a/c wasn't functioning properly and my regular mechanic wasn't available for a few weeks. I found this place through a mailer they had used. They were running an a/c special for $50. It was the summer months and driving without a/c is like a death sentence in the desert. They came out and advised me I needed a new compressor. I said ok and gave the approval for such. The nightmare was just beginning; what should have taken a few hours to complete once the part arrived took weeks. They were always short handed and never on time for anything. Anyways, back to the original thing... They installed the compressor and a new belt. They tried for almost a day to charge the system without luck. I was at my wit's end! I finally said enough is enough and used a mechanic my friend recommended. The new mechanic looked it over and found that the fan had burnt out which is why the a/c wasn't working properly. The fan was replaced and the system accepted the Freon without any problems. What they couldn't do in weeks the other guy did in a few hours. The fan cost $100, with labor I paid under $150. I spent more than that on a compressor I didn't even need. I also had to have a pulley replaced because they bent it out of shape not to mention another belt because the one they put on snapped as a result of the pulley. Bottom line... These people don't know what they are doing. They charge for services that aren't needed and don't have any type of work ethic at all. I was charged in excess of $1000 for what started out as a $50 service. My a/c isn't working again. The mechanic just told me the compressor is leaking. read more

Unprofessional, Punctuality, Poor Quality, Bad Value Absolutely the worst person I have ever done business with. If there were a way to give a negative star I would give it to him. Gary is the epitome of a conman. He comes off as a nice guy but it's all a trick and he's really good at convincing you he's honest. I paid an exorbitant amount of money ($3600) and nothing was fixed. When I spoke to him about it he said he would fix the problem but did not show up or return my calls. He even left parts off of my vehicle. Everything that came out of his mouth was nothing but a lie. He told me he I could take my vehicle to his repair shop and his employee would help fix it. Come to find out it wasn't his shop or employee, another complete lie. HE DOES NOT HAVE A SHOP! He cons other shop owners into letting him work out of their shop to make him look more professional. He has nothing, works out of the back of his truck, and there's a reason for that. He is a "mobile mechanic" so it's impossible to track him down when there's a problem. You can't just go to his place of business because he has no place of business. I should have seen the warning signs when he asked for half the money up front. You have to ask yourself what professional garage does that? Unfortunately I was ignorant, I trusted him, I didn't check him out, I thought he was a man of his word, and once he got the money I got taken advantage of. All I can say is if you hire this guy to work on your vehicle you will be his next victim and will definitely regret it. Don't make the mistake I did, go to anyone else but this guy. I never write reviews but felt I needed to just to warn others not to count on this company. I called on Saturday 7/14 early evening after being towed to a shop that would not be open until 8am the next day. The thought occurred to me I might try a mobile mechanic. I called and talked with Gary and explained my issue. He told me someone would be able to come to me and asked me to text him the VIN # of my vehicle which I did. I texted multiple pictures. Then I waited, waited, waited.........I called him several times and left voicemails and also texted him wondering what was going on. I get a call and asked him if he got the pics with the VIN#, it was like he didn't even remember he asked me for them and said oh yeah, I call you right back, I have them. He finally got back to me around 940pm telling me it would be better for me to wait because I would still be charged the $120.00 and there was no guarantee the auto shop would be open and they would have to come back, then be charged $120.00 again. Okay, what were you doing for a couple of hours after I texted the VIN#???? He then reassured me he would be on the road at 630am to 700am in the morning and would be out to fix my vehicle and wouldn't let me down. So instead of just going into the shop at 800am I waited for Gary, made multiple phone calls and wasted a few more precious hours. I ended up going into the shop around 1000am after Gary was a no show, no response. Mind you I live out of state in Arizona and waited on this guy Gary overnight in my van in the miserable heat of the desert. Thank God I had a portable generator and was able to turn on the air conditioner in my Roadtrek , camper van, but I was low on gas and told him that!! What a way to run a business. The least you could do is text me and tell me you are not coming instead of leaving me hanging on thinking you are on your way!! I called the company and left a message for the supervisor. They stole my money! Over 3 weeks ago I stopped to get gas in Rancho mirage before driving home to Orange County. My car suddenly wouldn't start. It was 5pm and all shops were closing. I called Brakemasters as they're mobile and open 24/7. They came out and decided the issue was a fuel pump (I still have no idea if that's really the issue) they said they can order the part and fix it next day. I paid by check $593 of the total $800 something quoted so they could order the part. All rental car places were sold out so they told me I can drive the car home because it Eventually started up. The next day i drove to Rancho mirage to have my car repaired. I stopped to grab a quick sandwich when I got into town and left my car on just in case it had issues starting again. I came out and smoke was everywhere and all my coolant was all over the ground. I called Brakemasters right away and they came to see what happened. Now I'm told my control fan module is bad and my coolant tank is cracked. Now I have to get those replaced also. (I don't know if those parts broke because of something they messed with the day before but it seems like interesting timing.) now I have to pay them an extra $100 to pay for those parts which they offered to get used to save me some money. I had to get a rental car for the rest of the week while they found those parts. Then I'm told Friday they would fix my car or Saturday at the very latest. I return my rental car Saturday morning and wait at my office all day until they finally come around 7-8pm. The first guy needed help so he called Gary who showed up smelling like alcohol. They replaced the fan module with a used one but didn't come up with a coolant tank. In an attempt to switch out the fuel pump the connectors were broken so they couldn't do the job. Now it's 9pm on a Saturday night I have no rental and a car worse than it started. They said they'd fill the coolant tank with water and connect the old fuel pump as best they could so I could get home. Oh and sorry if it smells like gas in your car, also you can't use the AC because your car can over heat again. I said I'm starting a new job in LA on Tuesday and can't come back on Monday or Tuesday to fix it in Rancho mirage. Gary says he'll personally drive to LA if that's what he has to do because he's all about making things right. He would be in touch about finding new connectors and get this job done! Well I had to locate the connectors. I never heard from Gary. My car then overheated again because they installed another broken fan module! The other guy said he would come that week with all new parts ... never happened then he would come on Saturday. I get a text late Saturday that's he's in San Diego and they'll just refund my money after rental multiple rental cars and being put off almost 3 weeks! Whatever just give me my money back so I can go elsewhere. Days go by I hear nothing. I reach out and am now told they won't refund it all because they replaced a module which was broken. I've reached out multiple times to both Gary and the other technician and they have completely stopped responding. On 5/17/2018 I will be filing a lawsuit if I'm not refunded today to get my money back as well as damages. Stay away from this scam company!!! read more

I called this company to come out to my home and fix the electric window on our car. Gary Brabant the technician charged $405.51 on our bank card for necessary parts and said they would arrive the next day. After a week of calls and constant rescheduling these people showed up a week later with a small black plastic box, took the inside of the door to pieces then said they had to go and buy a wire. We have never seen them since or the small plastic box ( supposedly the new motor). The car was left disabled and with the door totally dismantled. It had to be towed by AAA and fixed elsewhere. Bear in mind that the car was working well apart from the window, before they touched it. This saga started on August 11th. I have asked for the monies to be credited, but nothing. They have ignored texts and calls and my request to return the $405.51. These people are nothing but crooks and we have been to the POLICE. It is now nearly two months and no credit. I received no goods, no service and a disabled, dismantled car. They need to return our money to us. Shame on you Paula Fisher and Gary Brabant. Jr! I called on Brake Master Mobile Mechanics last week to diagnose my issue of the truck not starting. Contacted AAA and they sent out USA Towing. The truck would not start after charging the battery and also after installing a new battery. I thought it might be the starter cylinoid as it has been in the past. It still did not start after that was installed. When Brake Master Mechanics came out they tested the battery which was 11.2 and the starter was 10.?? He removed the starter and came back when the new starter came in. The starter was correctly coded, but instead of a bracket it had a wire that was to connect. He said it was the wrong starter but said that he could weld the item on the new starter but it would not be warrantied if he did. They took the starter back to Ford (PS Motors) to get the correct one. Today they came back with the same starter. He explained that it will work with an added item to connect. I gave him the okay, but told him it better work. He installed it, changed some of the wiring in that area and then put the battery back in using the new terminals. He started it up for me and it purrs like a kitten in the driveway. The real test will be driving it. read more
