Update : The owner did send checks for the oil changes to make up for the shortage on oil , appreciate that . Decided to bring my car and truck here for the first time because it was closer to my house then my old mechanic . I paid $80 for each oil change which was more then the other place but I needed it done . After a month my truck was showing low oil so I had to add a quart . Now today my cars oil light is turning on . So now I need to go pick up oil before I my engine gets screwed in my car . I'd understand one possibly carhaving this issue but both is ridiculous. Looks like I'll be making the trip back to my old mechanic . read more

Been going to break master in norco for awhile now. These guys are great, and they're honest! That's the most important thing to me. They also try to accommodate you even if they're busy. Oscar is the man! They were very busy when I came in, but he got me in since the cars that were left didn't have anyone waiting at the shop for. I'm a nurse and I use my car to see pt. At homes and at facilities so it's critical I have my car with as little down time as possible. Regarding their honesty, the last time I had my oil changed, I had them check my breaks because they were squealing. Would have been easy for them to just go ahead and say the breaks need replacing and make some money, but Oscar told me they were fine and they will check again on next oil change. I have been going to these guys for quite some time. My story for this one is with Lexus F sport . My brakes were pulsating every time I hit the brakes. SonI figured warped rotors. I took my car in and he asked when is the last time you did the brakes ? I said I think it was done here? He looked it up and sure enough walla yes it was done Nov. 2019 . So they take it for a test run come back and confirm the rotors are bad. I was unpleasantly suprised that being 10 months old they are not covered . He tried calling to get it under warranty but with no prevail. So they put the new ones on and I ask whats the warranty ? He says 12 months ? Huh? I was more confused than a cow on astroterf. I said I will pay it but just know there will be a review. Im staring the facts and not bashing the business. The rotors are considered high performance rotors. Will I used them again? I told him I only needed the front because the dealer had already checked it. He said $89 for the front. When I got there I told him I had a $20 coupon. He said the price was $89 with the coupon. took my truck in for alignment but like other reviewers because they couldn't upsell me they couldn't do the alignment for other reasons. I had just replaced all the steering components and a complete brake job disc, pads and calipers. So there was no potential upsell. They gave me some BS reason they couldn't it do the job. Took the truck up the street to Mountain View Tire they completed the alignment with no issues didn't try and upsell me. So take this as warning if you do go there make sure to get a second opinion or at least take someone with some knowledge of auto repair as to not be taken advantage of. read more

I had a bad experience here. I came here because I saw it from the freeway. First of all, I came in and all the mechanics looked like they all dropped out of HS and decided to work on cars, they didn't even look like they were enjoying what they were doing. On the wall, they post up their prices. It said 70ish dollars for front brakes and take includes other things like pads. It was pretty vague in details as well. After 25 mins sitting and standing watching the mechanics inspect my car. The guy says that I need new brake pads and resurfacing. I was like ok. I asked him for the price, he said 211 ish. I was like WTF! I told him to give me a price break down. I thought it was 70ish, he said that was just for service. Then I said ok how much for new brakes? hes like 10 bucks each. Ok how much for resurface? 20 bucks. So 10+10 for each pad +20 for resurfacing and + 70 bucks for service charge = 211? WTF! When he was calculating it on paper, the calculation did not add up and he even cross it out! I knew this guy was trying to overcharge me from the way he was stuttering. I said it was over my budget. Then he said ok i can do it for 190 or something. I was like nah, I want my car back. They put my tires on and I was telling other people how they overcharged me. I made sure they put every bolt back because I heard some places steal your bolts. I wouldn't recommend this place it you want your brakes check. I went to another place and I got it for 120 with better upgraded pads and resurfacing. read more

It seems like everytime I go here I'm being told I need more unnecessary work done. For example, today I was told they need to flush the brake fluid, and that it would be $70. Luckily I had existing plans afterward to meet with a friend who is a mechanic to get some additional work done...who ended up testing it and told me no flush was needed. This isn't the first time this happened- but it will be my last time. Lifetime brakes or not, I'd rather pay more to go somewhere else. My suggestion: if you MUST get work done here know what you want done and don't agree to anything else. Period. Take their suggestions and get a second opinion. Chances are you will find that 1. You don't need the work done after all, 2. It can be done cheaper elsewhere, and/ or 3. It can be done at a better quality. Find someone you can trust to work on your car- and I guarantee it won't be anyone from here. I recently bought a new car & was concerned bout reliability of brakes. The dealer kept telling me they were fine but I wasnt convinced bcuz I had such a horrible experience with them. I am ever so grateful that he had his guys inspect free of charge...didnt try to upsell me something I didnt need & reassured me my brakes were safe. I have used this location probably 6 times over last multiple years. All. good in beginning but things have gone downhill. I have brought my wife's car back two times after they put breaks on. Lots of noises, grinding etc. I can maybe understand one defective set of pads but two sets in two months?? I am thinking it is time to find another brake place! read more

I came in to get an alignment done. The wait was over two hours, but I just decided to wait anyway. Brendan, the guy manning the front desk, made multiple loud personal phone calls while sitting at the desk. He was talking about driving 110 miles per hour to work- I wish he'd been working on my car to speed it up instead of chit chatting on the phone. After the car was done, they gave me a long list of things I need to get fixed- things I will definitely get a second opinion on. They said the shocks needed to be replaced, however they were shocks that I purchased at the brake masters with a lifetime guarantee but since their electronic records only go back to 2011, they wouldn't honor the lifetime guarantee. I will never go back and warn everyone against it. At least they did my alignment. read more

I've been to brake masters 3 times over the past couple months for an oil change and brake pad replacements. I am new to this area so I went to brake masters just because I remembered seeing it driving through town. The first time I went was to get my oil changed. It was an "ok" experience... except it took FOREVER! The second time I came in, my brakes were grinding, They told me I needed to new brake pads so I agreed to let them replace them. After getting them replaced my car was making noise again. I was not happy so I called back to make an appointment for them to look and fix whatever the noise coming from my brakes was. This time, they told me they did not take appointments and I needed to just come in. Mind you, I initially made an appointment to get the pads replaced just 2 weeks previous. So basically... they didn't make appointments to fix their mistakes. So I brought it back, the guy at the front desk was rude and acted like he didn't want to deal with me. They never heard or found the noise I was complaining about, but they conveniently listed several other things that were wrong with my car that they never mentioned two weeks prior. I took my car to a chevy dealership after all that and they had to clean up after brake masters poor brake job. I will never go back. read more

I usually use a local mechanic for any type of brake needs, but I needed an oil change and I thought I'd check out Brake Masters since they do a free brake inspection with one. I pretty much knew I needed front brakes because I was hearing squeaking when I applied my brakes. Jose, the service manager, was really great to deal with. In my opinion, usually these types of places are a lot higher than your local mechanic. This wasn't the case here! I looked back at the last time I had my brakes done by my mechanic and it was the exact same price. I also had a quote from another oil pit stop from the last time and it was $120 higher than Brake Masters or my local mechanic. Jose also had his techs take a look at my back brakes and actually walked me out to the lift so I could see they needed done also. He didn't want me feeling like he was trying to sell me something I didn't need. He also threw in a new cap I needed because of all the work I had done. I was very happy with the final price I paid for everything. I want to point out his AMAZING customer service... I told him I had an appointment and wasn't sure I had time to get the work done that day. Jose offered to let me use his personal car to get to my appointment! No one does that!! Turns out I didn't need to because they got the work done very quickly. I will definitely be going back to Brake Masters for my oil changes and brake work!!! read more

I went here for a replacement water pump as I was new to the area and had limited options and funds. Boy was that a mistake. The fix never really fixed the problem of a water pump noise, which is usually a bearing issue within the water pump itself. They did not offer to let me keep the original part they supposedly replaced so I have no way of knowing if they actually replaced it or not. I highly doubt a brand new water pump would have the exact same bearing issue but hey, benefit of the doubt, maybe it did. I wasn't able to get back to Norco to complain as I was in LA at this time so I swapped out the still faulty water pump myself 6 months later after noticing a that my car was also leaking fluid constantly. Turns out the Brake Masters technician had striped my the threads where the pump meets the engine block. I had to retap the thread (huge pain in the rear). I replaced the pump, retapped the thread, and ensured a good seal. Guess what? No more noise and no more leak. It's been solid ever since. It's sad when you can go online and figure out how to swap a waterpump, retap threads, and fix a problem that should have been fixed the first time for the original $300. They might masters at brakes, but I'd avoid at all costs for any other services. read more

I have a 2005 Chevy Silverado 1500 an I had to have my air fixed, an new radiator, an some other this an he told me what can wait till I had the money to fix it an what needed to get down sooner then later.
