Because of the great reviews and wonderful phone call, today I drove an hour to Antioch to meet Jon and have him take a look at my brakes. Jon was incredibly friendly, respectful, and most of all HONEST! He immediately showed me that my brakes were not the issue at all, but that I needed a new wheel bearing as my tire wobbled back and fourth. He typed up a report for me so that I could accurately communicate the issue to the repair mechanic, and then wished me a safe drive home. Requested a quote on yelp from Asim late Sunday evening and got a response within 15 min's, quoted prices for Starter replacement and 4 brake pads looked really good and he was able to fit me in first thing Monday morning. Arrived at Asim's shop Monday morning and was greeted by a very courteous Asim, he let me know that I may also have worn rotors. left my car there for 2 hours for him to work on. When I went to pick up my car he informed me that he had to also replace the brake rotors on the front wheels, expecting a much higher price than what was quoted I was pleasantly surprised that there was only a marginal increase in the final price versus what was quoted. I kept hearing squeaks on my brakes and when I'd pull Up my emergency brake. I messaged the company and I got a super quick response. He asked me a couple questions about my car and suggested I get a free inspection first. He gave me an honest opinion, looked at all 4 brakes and suggested if I wanted to get them greased to help with the squeaking. It definitely did help, he was super quick as well! The young man at Brake Pros change my brakes and was very professional. He did the job in minimal time and had me back on the road. I'd recommend coming to this shop every time you need brake work. You can't beat the prices and the service is good. I bought four new sets of brakes and rotors. I'm updating my review because after 4-5 months my front brakes began to do that awful grinding like when I brought my car in. I spoke with the technician who did my brakes in 4-22-2020 and told him about my problem. He said his ship was only open for appointments due to COVID-19 and I understood that. I because flabbergasted when his attitude showed he didn't care if my brakes were defective or there was an issue. He even told me if o kept my receipt he could look up my part numbers and help me. I asked if he could look it up by my vehicle type and he said he would have to look through too many receipts because everything is done by paper receipts. Whaaaaaa!!! It the 21st Century. So I just said forget it. I'll just have to take my car to someone more honest next time. For the mount of money and me getting all new brakes and rotors it's sad that zero consideration was taken to make this right; So for that reason I'm giving this location one stars. I'm located in Concord and came across Brake Pro's after looking on Yelp. After getting a recall fixed at Ford I was advised to replace my front brakes and recommended to do the rear as well. sent a quote request on yelp and owner Jon responded promptly, I answered a few questions and he quoted me better than any of the other places within minutes. After reading the reviews on here from other clients and the good price it was a no brainer that I had to come check this place out even though it is a bit of a drive for me. Jonn told me that he would inspect my vehicle and will recommend me exactly what I needed. Jon is very easy to talk to and he keeps it real no BS and no upsell. Jon was able to accommodate me ASAP so I set up an appointment. Upon arriving at his shop I was impressed of how clean and organized the place was and Jon happily greeted me when I got out of the car as he was just finishing the car he was working on. Jon inspected the car and confirmed the dealerships diagnosis and showed me as well. He went over with me the differences in brake pads and educated me a little bit on what is good, better and best for what I actually needed and made it my choice on what to decide on based on quality and for the price. Jon even inspected my brake fluid and showed me the difference between clean and dirty brake fluids and made it my choice whether I wanted to drain my old one and replace it. There was No pressure here folks straight to the point. After choosing the right brake pads for me Jon went straight to work and even found some things with the car that needed some attention and I was able to see it with my own two eyes and take photos. Late review!! So I brought my car in on Sunday, right before we got hit with the rain. I'd been hearing some rattling noise coming from my suspension under my car and wanted to make sure everything was safe since I commute from Antioch to San Leandro almost everyday. It being Sunday almost nobody was open that could do what I needed to get done but Brake Pros was and after calling and speaking to Asim (only guy that works there) he told me I could bring my car right in. So I bring my car in and after doing a driving tests where we took a short ride together and I pointed out to him the exact noise that I was hearing, lifting my car up and taking a look at it from underneath he determines I need a swing arm link and it being a little later in the sends me to Auto Zone to grab the parts so he could get started right away. I grab parts and come back and he starts to go to work on taking apart the wheel after about 5 min of work he ask me "have you had some work done recently on this ?" I say "yea just about 3 months ago" he then puts everything back together and tells me to take the same ride we just took together. I did, and sound completely gone! Turns out the previous person I had "fix" it for me didn't completely screw in a couple of things in my swing arm and link and that's what was causing the constant rattling noise in every bump, dip, pothole, uneven ground on my Mustang. I tell this story and probably my longest y'all review ever, because I've ran into some pretty shady mechanics in my spam of owning a vehicle and to find a honest and trust worthy independent one that's not at a big shop is rare. He could have easily taken the parts and replaced the whole thing and charged, but he finished someone else work and sent me in my way! Will for sure be bring my car back to him anytime I have mechanical issues! read more

Great little shop. Made an appointment for 930 and was actually able to be seen at 930. They put rear rotors, disk brakes, parking brake shoes and a new spring kit on a Cummins 3500 for me in about an hour and a half. There was no up-charge and they stuck to their original Yelp quote. Find some squeaking sound from my front wheels... $800 - recommended by other auto shop to replace ALL wheel's brake pad and etc, they said it's a must $0 - "Brake Pros" told me that actually the wheel discs look good perhaps I only need a hard break-in to the brake pads that's all! He said if the sound still there he can fix it with a reasonable price... no pressure. I rarely write review no matter good or bad about any shop... but i do it this time because as a customer we really appreciate this type of honest business attitude and I wanna spread the good deed and support this shop. My vehicle was past due for brake service and I found this Company on Yelp. I did not have an appointment but he was able to take my car immediately at this shop. He replaced both rear rotors and brake pads in approximately one hours time. I truly expected my cost to be double what he charged me so I am still amazed. He also assured me the rotors are under warranty for two years and the brake pads for a shorter time. This gentleman was very friendly, courteous and made me feel totally confident he would do a great job I presently live in Modesto but will travel the hour plus for any future services on my vehicles as well as tell my friends what a great experience I had today. read more
