This place definitely needs a management shake-up. Back in September, I visited Brake Plus to get my 2012 Sienna aligned. I scheduled my appointment online, which is very convenient for busy people like me. I waited about an hour for them to complete the job. Once they finished, I headed to work and noticed the car was pulling to the right and felt out of balance. I had already replaced other parts and there was nothing wrong with my Sienna. I immediately turned around and asked them to review their work. The technician came in saying that he would talk to the manager. The manager came in and told me that my car didn't have camber adjustments and that I would need to install some shims to get it fixed. They offered to fix the problem, but it would cost approximately $400 -- almost what I paid for the tires at another shop. He insisted there was nothing else they could do. I was convinced he was being honest and honorable, so I decided to save some money and go back later to get it fixed. However, a friend recommended M&P Tire Shop for a second opinion. I went there and found a gentleman with no sophisticated machine or fancy facility -- but he was able to fix it, and the issue was simply related to the toe. Therefore, either the Brake Plus manager needs training, or they are colluding to scam customers. Very disappointed. read more

I just had my air shocks replaced by someone else due to the deceptive business practices here. The whole cost to me was only $400.00 by north Texas Mobile Mechanics. Shocks $300.00 and labor was done for $100.00. When Brakes plus looked at my SUV they said work needed to be done that wasn't necessary and the mark up on their shocks was terrible. Over $700 per shock for original factory equipment. I ordered those shocks from a parts place and they were only $150 each. They also said I needed to have an alignment done when I replaced the rear shocks. This wasn't true. A very disappointing experience. Many people are living from pay check to paycheck. Four weeks ago just about my husband took my Mercedes in for an oil change at this location , I have no idea how he got home which was 40 minutes away, but they didn't put the oil back in my car and my car's engine was completely fried. They still owe me for the botched oil change amount and my rental cost for three weeks. The regional manager was supposed to take care of that and gave me his word but still hasn't. Horrible customer service when you give your word that it will be made right. Also when it is your company's fault that this happened because you hire incompetent technicians you shouldn't make women feel like they are stupid or ignorant, which they did throughout this whole process. Recently We had $2600 worth of work completed at your Haslet Texas location, in preparation for a trip. This did include a brake service. Upon getting down the road about 75 miles there was a clunk coming from the right rear wheel. I though a bearing was about to go out. Pulling into the nearest service center it was discovered the brake shoe was loose in the drum with no retaining clip. While understandably upset I was refunded a portion of my bill and the cost to fix the problem in route which was minimal. I also understand mistakes can and will happen. Fast forward to 5/30/24. My wife took her vehicle to the same location for and oil change and tire rotation. Upon completion she pulled out and on to highway 287. Within 1.5 miles she experienced what she thought was a blowout. She called me and then your location and they dispatched a mechanic to help her out. He announced to her "well you didn't have a blowout". The reason being that her left front wheel was hanging on by one loose lug nut. The mechanic literally walked back down the highway gathering them up to reattach the wheel. Upon returning to the store, she was refunded the cost of service, barely apologized too, and never apologized too by the mechanic that apparently missed lug nut training. More over it was handled with hushed voice so other customers wouldn't hear what was transpiring. The wheel was inspected. The rotor and studs were "inspected" (one of these broke the next day). And we were sent across the highway to discount tire to have it balanced (why are you moving wheels if you cant balance them?) I want to impress upon brakes plus that this kind of absolute disregard for checking your work can cost a life or more than one. Luckily the highway was relatively quiet, which is rare for that area, so no one was immediately behind my wife so she could move to the shoulder. More on had the wheel come completely off and gotten into traffic the damage to others could have been severe. I think it's safe to say that more should be expected from your establishment and these incidents require immediate attention. My wife's car has since developed constant squealing in the CV joint and she was absolutely terrified to take it anywhere. I would have expected more care locally from the store, but the empty twisted tea can in the managers office trash can told me all i needed to know. read more

Had a 1pm appointment for a simple oil change. They didn't start until 1:50 and then it took them 45 minutes plus to change the oil and rotate the tires. Would never recommend them and will not be coming back here. read more
