This brakes plus location is superior to the other ones I have been to and have always given me a high level of service for my preventative maintenance. I recommend that you get their package prices for flushes and oil changes to save even more money. I had my brakes done here and still working great! Any issues with their service they will go back and check on it for you and fix it if it needs it. Look in the entertainment book each year for money saving coupons for service. The first time I visited BP in 2008, it was a busy Saturday, and the wait time was going to be too long. This year, not only was I admitted with an hour wait, but the brake inspection was free of charge. FREE OF CHARGE! I cannot tell you how relieved I was, since I had to go and find out the problem with my car somewhere else which probably meant money, but the mechanic and customer service peps that asked me questions didn't treat me indifferently. I took my car in to get the brakes done. I had a coupon for 99$ and I knew exactly what I needed done to my car. Well low and behold, they try to take advantage of me. I knew I needed pads and my rotor needed turned. But the guy insisted I needed new pads and rotors. Then to top it off he stated I needed to change my brake fluid. I just had my fluids done last week. So nice try. Will when I told him everything that needed to be done to my car, they were quick to change their tune. DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU THINK THAT IT IS ACCEPTABLE FOR THE TECHNICIANS TO LEAVE YOUR OIL CAP OFF AFTER AN OIL CHANGE! I cannot believe this place. I went in for a routine oil change later to find that they had left my oil cap off of my car, thus leading oil to explode all over my engine and even onto my hood. I took my car back to have them fix their issue. They did not offer me ANYTHING after putting me in a very dangerous situation. No refund, and it even took them an hour to get me in after their huge mistake. DO NOT GO HERE. They are incompetent and could leave you in a really bad situation. read more

The people here are positive, helpful and courteous. I have taken my 2003 Honda CR-V in for some repairs a few times. The cost of the repairs has always been less then the estimates. Most times when I have taken my car in for service or recalls to other places, I have been treated like a stupid female who only knows where the key goes. However not here at Brakes Plus. Great service at this location. I highly recommend them. I've noticed recently that other repair shops in the nearby area (I won't name names) have been charging higher and higher prices for their work and prescribing more and more work to be done when I bring my vehicle in for a particular repair. John and Roger and the crew do the work that needs to be done and don't pressure you to do additional work now that can wait a little bit. I had a scheduled appointment today. Which I scheduled 2 weeks ago. To have my vehicle fixed. I brought my car in at 8 am. At noon it was never looked at and by 4pm I was told that it wasn't a priority and they would look at tomorrow and maybe fix it next week. I can't tell u anything about the mechanics. Moved here from Arizona where we had a lot of Brakes Plus stores, but never been there before because I usually go somewhere else and I decided to give them a try to fix my power steering pump & power steering flush. Compared with many other auto shops with prices and procedures and found that Brakes Plus offer the best price and the shortest time. I called and made an appointment for Wednesday morning and Mr. Lowell helped me with everything from checking me in to driving me back, updating me on the progress throughout the day to picking me up in the afternoon so I can pick-up my vehicle. Everything worked out great. I sign-up for the Brakes Plus mailing list and received an e-mail for 10% off on any services. I didn't presented it in the morning when I dropped off my vehicle and told Mr. Lowell about it when I picked-up my car and he still let me used the coupon, saved me bunch of money. Lowell Baker is the owner/manager of this location. You might be able to find someone as truthful as Lowell, but I doubt it. Lowell and his team are great to work with and are not going to try to sell you anything you "don't need". If you need it, they will tell you. If it can wait, they will tell you. I had an amazing experience here! Went to the Subaru dealership to get my front headlights changed, they wanted $96 for EACH light. And let me tell y'all best experience with customer service since I been in this state. John Stark went above and beyond, including military discount with me being from Virginia Beach says alot. He made me spend the minimum and try some things for the next week to diagnose the problem. Amazing. Trustworthy. Honest. Very easy to trust. I was even under the car. Just felt St home. I have been taking multiple vehicles at this location for many years. All my maintenance and most of my repairs are performed at this location. John Stark the manager, all the staff and mechanics are honest, they are very professional and always provide great customer service. My first experience that made me continue to bring my vehicles here was one day I thought my breaks were going really bad, after inspection I was advised that I still have over 50% life of the breaks and that I didn't to replace it. Instead of trying to make money off of me, they were very honest and didn't replace something that was not necessary like the dealerships. Each time I come back for maintenance, I continue to receive the same service. Few things are more dreadful than moving to a new city and needing to find a car maintenance shop, but this Brakes Plus will have me coming back. Came in after work on a Wednesday for an oil change and was told an hour. No prob. 30 minutes later, I'm out the door and they didn't try to sell me anything else. Do I have to give them a star? Can I rate them at negative 1 star. I'm done with this company. Never again! I had a bad experience at a different location on Yosemite in Centennial, CO but thought I would try a different location. First bad experience, I needed a sparkplug hole re-tapped in my engine block with new threads. I took my vehicle in with no other engine problems but when they were done they said it was leaking air through the engine. So now it has a vacuum leak. Now my "check engine" light is on. They cracked my intake manifold. That's a $1500 repair. This time... I went in Saturday and he said "Can't do it today" and I said "No, I want to set an appointment for Tuesday," and set an appointment for a 4-wheel Thrust alignment. He said I was in the computer, and "You're all set for Tuesday at 10 AM." Now I went in and he said "You don't have an appointment," and asked if I had something showing my appointment. I didn't because he didn't give me anything. Same guy by the way. He also said "We can get you in". So what was the point of me stopping in and setting an appointment? Such incompetence. I left. I'm done. There are other cheap service companies, I'm sure I can get equal inadequate service other places. read more

I wish I could give them a grade of C, or ~3.5 stars. It was snowing pretty badly one day. I picked my grandson up from daycare in the area when I noticed that my left headlight was out, so I ran by Brakes Plus to see if they could replace it quickly. They did and I am grateful. The thing is that it cost me $48 bucks! To replace a headlamp bulb on my Subaru! They charged me 20 some odd bucks just to put the bulb in! I guess you have to pay for convenience, but dang! It's highly unlikely that I'll ever use them again. If this price seams reasonable to others, please let me know. I want to be fair in my review. It's just that, if I ever have a light out, I typically go to Auto Zone, purchase a bulb, and they put it in for me on the spot, for half the cost (no labor fee). I was just surprised at the seemingly high labor cost that Brakes Plus charged. I can only imagine what they would have changed for labor for anything more than a lightbulb. read more

I brought my 2006 Mazda 6 here for oil changes, brakes, routine maintenance for about a year until I traded that in for a 2011 Ford Escape with around 20K miles about 3 years ago. Over the almost last 4 years I've never been surprised by the bill when either car was done. They've never tried to up-sell me on services or parts I didn't need or ask for and have always given excellent customer service, and most importantly, shown nothing but respect to this chick driver. read more

Dishonest or simply incompetent I just got back from having a brake job (pad and rotor replacement) from them. It took all day for them to do, but they were very busy when I got there. So that's perfectly excusable. When I got there to pick up the car, I was informed that they used ceramic pads. As a personal preference, I don't like ceramic pads and told them I didn't want them. Then I was told that the ONLY pads that I can have in my car are ceramic. Furthermore, they claim that if I want to use another pad material, that I would have to change my entire brake caliper. On top of all of this, they told me that this is the case with ALL BMWs! Im insulted just by the fact that they thought I would believe such a blatant lie. I even obliged them and looked up various metallic pads on my smart phone. They continued to (poorly) defend the ceramic pads that I DONT want, and made no attempt to fix the issue. I literally just spent 5 minutes buying pads from EBC online for my car that aren't ceramic. Not only did I get unsatisfactory service, but I got a proverbial slap in the face for my time as well. read more
