The employee at the front was very personable and nice. The oil change I got was also very quick. My only complaint is that the mechanic suggestion was that the transmission fluid was VERY dark. The employees at the front also told me that is was starting to get dark which contradicted the mechanics notes. He asked me if I wanted to change the fluid, which I declined as I just got a trip check on my vehicle at my home town and they said all fluids were good. I go home and check my transmission fluid and it is a light pink, a lot different from VERY dark. Glad that I was the one that went in, not my sister or mother! read more

The manager named matt or Mike did some work on my 2011 jeep grand cherokee laredo. They replaced a speed sensor and I picked it up no problems but he said I need brakes and rotors. I said I cant do it today but find out what it will cost and give me a call. He called me 48 hours later and said I have good and bad news, the good news is we have the rotors and brake pads in stock. The bad news, your jeep take the larger of the 2 types of rotors on the front and rear so the totl will be $898. I said let me talk with my wife as it is her jeep. I had a second certified place take a look. They informed me it would be just over $500 for all four rotors and pads. They told me the rear rotors were actually the small ones, not the large that the MANAGER of brakes plus told me they were after looking them up. They also I noticed broke two body bolts holding the wheel well cover on so when I drive over bumps it bounces and makes noise also looks like shit. I was too trusting and didnt look until I returned home from brakes plus. I only knew about the rotors because I have a family member who does wholesale for factory motor parts (FMP), which is who brakes plus gets most of their aftermarket parts from. So watch out!!! You know if the manager is scamming people you know his employees are too and probably allowed to do shotty work!!! NOT HAPPY!!!! Good luck everyone read more

this is a follow-up to my nearly one-year ago April 2016 review below where this Brakes Plus got extra work out of a brake job (front brakes were gone and had gone into the rotor without that scratchy sound warning) and they didn't honor their advertised special up-front, then claimed i had severely compromised hub bearings that were dangerous to even drive home much less for days without getting them replaced. my review is below under Gayla C... i wanted to merely uodate the review but didn't see how to do it. first of all, this Brakes Plus was and still has been the only place to suggest a hub bearing issue. at the time of the work in April 2016, the vehicle had not been shaking while driving, swerving and/or pulling, vibrating or otherwise shaking while braking. still, you never know, so i tried to keep an open mind. still, i really suspected they were lying to me to get extra work. after almost a year of driving the same vehicle with no hub bearing problems, having multiple instances of work and misc inspections performed on the vehicle, with still no swerving while driving or abnormalities while braking, and no claims from any mechanic of there being such a problem, it seems fair to assume that Brakes Plus claims of these hub bearing issues were false as i originally suspected and were designed to make money off of me on a problem that didn't exist, in addition to the extra trivial work i paid for at the time to ensure they would make a satisfactory amount of profit from me and i would get out of there with a job well-performed. i really think if you live in their vicinity, you probably have a good chance of being treated fairly and honestly by this business because they won't want to bite the community that feeds them, but if you live out of the area, LOOK OUT. read more

These guys are amazing. Being on vacation my brakes began to make horrible noise i was very worried since i was about 500 miles from my regular mechanic. I found brakes plus down the street from my sister in laws house and i am so glad i did. I took in my Ford Explorer and they took care of my rear brakes hassle free. RUN AWAY!!! SCAM! SCAM! SCAM! I had my car in for service at the dealership. The dealership told me I needed rear brake pads urgently. I shopped around and compared prices to the dealership, and of course Brakes Plus was considerably cheaper. The person I spoke to whose name rhymes with tow , told me he could even do better than their base price because he had a $20 off coupon. I was pleased with his concern about saving me money and booked an appointment. After getting off the phone, I looked online and found a 50% off coupon. I wondered if they would honor it so at the appointment time I told him about it and he said oh yeah I'll give it to you ( not very forthcoming about the coupon and saving me money after all). My husband warned that places like this will draw you in with a low price and then tell you you need every little extra thing there is. I reassured my husband that I was right and I wouldn't pay a dime over what I was quoted. I dropped off my car and received a phone call 20 minutes later saying I needed a "special" caliper, and that one of my rotors could not be machined due to its thickness. I was surprised and a little irritated that the serviceman told me I could call him back after talking with my husband but that my husband probably wouldn't even know the special tool that was needed for the special caliper. (Now my husband knows a lot about cars but doesn't have a lot of time to work on them so I was a little insulted on his behalf. ) I called Ford and told them my situation and asked if there was a "special caliper" that needed a "special tool" using the same terminology that Brakes Plus had given me, and they said absolutely not. I called Brakes Plus back I told him I wouldn't be paying the extra labor for the special calipers and the special tools needed and they said okay come pick up your car. I won't be going back to Brakes Plus. I don't recommend anyone go to Brakes Plus. But the biggest blow to my ego is that I have to tell my husband he was right. :( read more

Not only did they do my front brakes for lower than competitors but they told me that I didn't need to change my back brakes! They could have easily taken my money and just changed them but they were honest and gave me peace of mind. We will be returning. read more

Whatever you do do not take your vehicle to this location!!! I called yesterday and asked if they could just replace the brake pads on my front left side as I already did the other side. They shared with me that they certainly could and to make sure and bring my brake pad in that I had already paid for from an auto parts store. I just went to go pick up my vehicle and they charged me for a complete brake pad replacement on the front end. I asked the manager why I would be charged for an entire front brake pad replacement when I only requested one side and was asked to bring in my own pad. He shared that the pads come in a package of two and that is how they charge. I shared with him then I should have been told that when I called to make the appointment and that I should not have been asked to bring in my own pad since I was going to have to pay for a complete replacement anyways. The manager just shrugged his shoulders and stated well that's how we charge. Total scam and I recommend you look elsewhere for your brake repairs! Update, I ended up getting a call after I left and they agreed to refund me half of what I had spent since they only did one side of the brakes and I provided the brake pads. read more

My FJ Cruiser breached 100,000 miles so I decided to take it to Brakes Plus near my home instead of the Toyota dealership. Dealership service prices are about 30 to 40 percent higher. I called in the morning to see if they could look over my vehicles brakes and replace if needed, as they were squealing and making a grinding sound. The gentleman-Matthew was so polite and said I could bring it right in. They did a full inspection and even test drove it to get to the root of the problem and within a short time, Matthew called me up so he could show me the problem/s with my vehicle. Very informative and to have him actually show me the wear and tear while explaining the issue, actually made sense to me. Car repair explanation is typically foreign to me but I actually understood the issue/s. I even reached out to my brother who is a master mechanic and he agreed that it sounds like they are doing the right thing and at a fair price. So after back rotor, pads, and calipers/hardware replacement along with a brake fluid flush, it was still less expensive than the dealership charged me sometime ago JUST for front brake pads. I'm back on the road knowing I'm safe after the new rear brakes and rotors. Thanks guys! read more

WOW...so refreshing when you actually get terrific accommodating customer service from an auto repair shop. The light on my dashboard came on saying that it was time for an oil change. As I was headed home, I decided to pursue an oil change today, as I actually had a few free spare moments to get it done. When I approached the gentleman at the counter, he asked if I had an appointment. I said "No" but that if they could fit me into their schedule I would greatly appreciate it!" He assessed the situation and said, "Yes, we most certainly can get you in. It will be about an hour to an hour and a half to get it done". I was appreciative as my schedule is so busy, that coming back another day would have been burdensome. They are located in a strip shopping center with other services, so I chose to get a pedicure, and my lashes done, and even had time to pick up a yogurt treat! I felt very productive as I accomplished way more than I could have​ imagined, all because​ of​ the kind gentleman at the counter, who made it convenient for me to get my oil changed. Everyone in​ the shop was very friendly, and my oil change only took 45 min. They won my business. I will definitely be back for car service as the fee was very reasonable, the service was quick, they service everything but tires, and the staff made me feel important that my issue was urgent and actually mattered to them. I will tell all my friends to go there for car repair as they are close to home and will be quick and reasonably priced. Good find for me! I wish them huge success at this location! read more
