I came here with my mom, sister, and brother in law for dinner. I was blown away by how incredible the experience was considering how new the place is (it just opened in January). The staff were so friendly and professional. They were able to answer any questions about the menu with a breadth of knowledge. The space is small, but well designed + there is lovely outdoor seating. All the food is of the highest quality and often locally sourced. I was especially happy when ordering a slightly obscure cocktail that they not only were able to make it, but it was one of the best Bee's Knees I've ever had (and I'm quite picky with them). I'd definitely come back! They are constantly updating and refining the menu so it'll be a great new experience next time I'm in town!

Came here for a treat after lunch. The space is beautiful. A couple of gluten free items in the case including a chocolate chip cookie and banana nut muffin. Coffee came as 8oz which seems so small after all my grandes at Starbucks, but I got a caramel latte and it was delicious. The gf choc chip cookie was good too.

Enjoyed a latte at Copain on Sunday morning for Mother's Day. The service was excellent - a friendly host with a warm smile. The ambiance is delightful. The restaurant is quite small but charming, and there's a parking lot across the street.

Such a delightful experience at Brasserie Copain! Gorgeous store front, inviting employees, beautiful on the inside. The choices of pastries, food, & desserts, along with coffee, lattes, & alcohol (think champagne, wine). I had the roast beef sandwich with mixed lettuce salad as my side (was so excited I didn't get a picture). Seating is "family" style at the tables, but they have some booths & you can sit at the bar. Didn't wait long for my food. A bit pricey, but worth it.

It feels like a quaint bistro then seated and obviously designed by a man because there is nowhere to put a handbag except behind you or on the floor. Easily solvable by putting some type of hook on the metal post that holds up the table. The night we came the mussels and the frisee salad were not available. Could still have the frisee with a different lettuce type. The menu is limited. Wish they had the sandwich menu available or pieces of quiche as well. The French Onion soup was like who spilled the whole shaker of Morton's into this soup. I am the type that loves salt and puts it on even if salt is already on the dish. The one ppl say there's already salt on the dish. Gruyère is a big glob and definitely need a fork to eat it. Generally I wouldn't say anything but it was too much. The soup is made fresh daily. This batch had been made that day so didn't want to sub a new bowl. The Caesar was very basic and the croutons were slivers of bread like literal slivers of the crust. From a size perspective, definitely a French portion. Let the manager know that it was too salty and they were definitely accommodating. Customer service is 5 star. They subbed dessert for the soup. The banana pudding was gone before the photo could be snapped. It was absolutely delicious!! Highly recommend. We will return and definitely try something else.

I like that you can sit at counter and have a cup of drip coffee in a mug at a decent price, get a free refill and enjoy the ambiance!

When I went to redeem my Goodiebag offer the guy working the counter was amazing. I got there very close to closing and he was so sweet. He went into the counter and filled our bag was savory treats. There was around 7/8 items in the bag. Everything he put in the bag was a surprise to us. We noticed a few of the names but they looked alike in the bag. Now we had 2 with hamburger meat/ground beef. They were our favorites. One had ham and cheese and one had corn and cheese. Both were delicious. Small round cheese breads were very chewy. Our least favorite was the hot dog but it wasn't terrible. We opted to get a sweet treat also and loved it also. It was a milk and coconut twisted bread. All in all I was super impressed with what we got and all the delicious flavors. We split the goodie bag items between 3 people and were very satisfied. Romeo and Juliet Brazilian Cafe 1605 Galleria Blvd Ste 105 Charlotte, NC 28270 (Review 16 in 2024 and 816 overall)

I do wish that all counter staff could communicate in English as I ended up a few times with things I would not have ordered and it was due to miscommunication and again the price is expensive and worth it when on point. I do recommend this spot as there are many reasons to come just make sure you know what you are getting and see about samples maybe before. Cute space tons of parking and easy to access.

The restaurant was busy, but there was no wait, and we were seated immediately. Our server, Sada, was attentive and took our order within five minutes. The food arrived within ten minutes and was really good. I say "really good" instead of "great" because I've visited the original locations in New Orleans (Ruby Slipper), and you just can't beat food in NOLA. We ordered the same dishes we had there to make a fair comparison. I had the catfish and grits with a side of one cinnamon swirl pancake (a perfect combination) and iced coffee. My wife had the avocado toast--she said it tasted the same and loved that they cut the toast into four pieces here. My food tasted almost identical. I think the gravy here didn't have tasso and was a bit less seasoned (which isn't a bad thing, since dishes in New Orleans can sometimes be overseasoned). The pancake made me smile, and the iced coffee was good too. I'm happy to know I can get this meal anytime I'm in Charlotte. Ruby Sunshine is definitely at the top of my list for breakfast/brunch.

The standout for me was the blueberry lavender mimosa, easily the best mimosa I've had. It was a generous pour, too, which made it even better. As for the food, the fried green tomatoes were a bit disappointing, coming out rubbery instead of crisp. On the other hand, the biscuit was absolutely amazing, perfectly done and definitely worth ordering. Overall, a mix of hits and misses, but a few items really shined.

The inside was immaculate and beckoning, with a two-sided display of the offerings and a shining espresso machine behind the register. The workers bore welcoming smiles and a a polite, inviting nature. All of that is the reason I give this patisserie three stars instead of two. While some foods are still a mystery to me - barbecue I can just take or leave, mostly leave - I know coffee and I know baked goods. The croissant I sampled was dry, implying unkindly that the flaky pastry dough was either formerly frozen or not fresh, and while croissants aren't exactly the moistest pastry to be found, the idea behind making them is kneading and rolling in a lot of butter, which I truly could not taste. What a disappointment. And somehow, somehow, my latte, albeit freshly prepared before me, was lukewarm when I took my first sip on the way to the car. How is that even possible? At the last minute, I asked for caramel to be added to my drink, but that was imperceptible too. I'd forgotten to ask for it to be half sweet, so I guess that was a blessing in disguise. When you stop by a bakery late in the day you sort of pays your money and takes your chances, but I visited just before noon. No crowds either. Disappointing all around, though again, the ambiance invites lingering. Cute bistro, lovely people, but - and I cannot believe I'm saying this - I'd have done better at the nearby Starbucks if all I wanted to do was get a latte and pastry. As the French would say, domage.

Tried a slice of dessert with ice cream but it was so overcooked it had been made rock hard?
