The experience gets better every time I visit. The perfect place to study, read or just meet with friends. This is my favorite place to grab an açaí bowl. Cassy made my millionth experience so much better after a long work week. Definitely stop by. Oh and the brown leather chair is super comfy too

We visited Bread and Butter several times while we were in Covington, and it's a must-visit coffee staple! We got lattes that were delicious and the service was quick and accurate. They had a special Vampire Diaries themed menu that was so cute and sounded delicious! One morning we got sausage, egg and cheese bagel sandwiches that were yummy, generously portioned and fresh. The drip coffee is also good! Would recommend.

The coffee here is delicious !! We got iced vanilla latte and finished it in minutes. The croissant was super fluffy and yummy and protein sandwich was good. The service was great, ladies were super sweet. Such a calm environment and great cafe to study at.

Enjoyed a breakfast here during the week. The food and coffee/tea were excellent. Homemade croissant for my sandwich.. yum! They offer a good amount of searing and also have a community room in the back that looks like it is put to good use. They have shelf's of books in there too. Everyone was pleasant and seemed like a great meeting place for business or leisure. Would recommend stopping if you are in the area.

Looks good, but isn't really. My friend got a lemon raspberry refresher and it was BAD! why was it bubbly??? service is weird but okay i guess. lots of dessert options, but they've been sitting out for a couple days. got the sausage egg and cheese, pretty normal. the croissant was huge, and the ingredients were small so a lot of the bites were just bread. lavender matcha was amazing tho, and chai was good.

Such a cute coffee shop and bakery. Service is great. They were able to explain drinks well so we could decide easily. Decor is shabby chic meets industrial. Lots of options to choose from at the bakery and coffee shop.

The salted Carmel lattes are delicious. They make their own salted Carmel mix. Service is great and the environment has something for everyone. If you want baked goods, coffee or even beer or wine- you can get it all here. They even carry Vampire Diaries coffee and shirts and stuff.

Delicious coffee and treats! I had an iced latte with brown sugar and cinnamon, and my husband had the matcha latte. We also shared a chocolate cannoli and some assorted macarons! All delicious. We were here on a trip, and actually came back the 2nd day because the coffee was so good. Highly recommend!

Anytime I visit Covington I make sure to make a stop here for breakfast. The service is always quick and friendly and the ambiance is clean and relaxing. I like that they also sell bottles of wine and miscellaneous items. I always order one of their bagel sandwiches, vampire chai latte and desserts. This time I ordered the Protein Mammoth and Green Thumb Bagel Sandwich which were both very good. The Protein mammoth is one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've had and the Green Thumb is a great healthy option. The hummus is creamy and the carrots give a nice crunch. You also can't go wrong with any of their macaroons, cakes or cheesecakes. All their desserts are fresh and decadent. I always look forward to returning to try more of their items.

Such a cute place! I stopped here to grab cupcakes and because it was Super Bowl weekend they also had football themed cupcakes. I picked carrot cake, salted caramel, cherry and chocolate. I only my tried carrot cake and it was pretty moist and I like that it had nuts as well. Frosting was not my most favorite.

I'm disappointed that we have been all over the square at the different establishments and this is the first time we have tried Bread and Butter. It was Memorial Day and not much else was open that early so it got a little busy for a moment. The staff was quick to take orders and get people seated. It took our breakfast about 15mins but like I said they had a 20 people rush come all at once. Beverages came out quick though whether it be the coffee or the boba teas. They have some cool stuff to look at and it seems they serve growlers for different beers or that's to come I wasn't quite sure. The decor is really nice and creative. I do like that it is located right on the square and you can sit in the window or sit right on the sidewalk and look around. We both ordered a croissant sandwich that had a warm toasted croissant but the meat was chilled, they should have put the sandwich together then toasted it imo, but it was still light and tasty. We wanted to try the chocolate croissant but they were did not have any. They pastries do seem to be first come first serve and when they are gone they do not make more. The boba tea was tasty, you pick between jasmine or black teas, then you pick your flavoring if you want and then pick if you want the popping beads or gummy beads and the flavoring for those. We went with the jasmine tea, pomegranate flavor and kiwi poppers. We will try again to hopefully get that chocolate croissant!

Tonight we made our way to The Social Goat in Covington, Georgia. Before we even get to the food,…read morethis is the kind of restaurant that has a personality all its own. Goat-themed artwork is scattered throughout the restaurant, including some fun paintings that immediately caught our attention. The atmosphere feels more like a cozy tavern than a traditional taco restaurant, with dark wood, booths, and a comfortable setting that invites you to settle in and stay awhile. One interesting piece of local history is the building itself. We learned that in 1906, this building housed an antique market. Think about that for a moment. If someone was selling antiques here in 1906, some of those "antiques" might have been from the 1800s. More than a century later, the building is still serving visitors, although these days the focus is tacos rather than antiques. Covington itself is worth mentioning. The city has become known as Georgia's Hollywood of the South, with more than 100 movies and television productions filmed here over the years. Fans of The Vampire Diaries and Sweet Magnolias will recognize many locations around town. If you're visiting the area, there is plenty to see before or after dinner. Our server for the evening was Jordan, who provided friendly service throughout the meal. The menu features eleven different taco varieties, which immediately created a dilemma. Narrowing the choices down to just three was not easy. We ultimately chose the Fried Fish Taco, the Philly Taco, and the Sesame Ribeye Taco. The tacos are available as a trio, allowing you to sample three different varieties on one platter. The meal also came with chips, salsa, and queso, making it easy to share and compare flavors. Let's start with the Fried Fish Taco because it ended up being my favorite of the three. The fish itself had excellent flavor and was cooked just right. The taco was topped with a sauce that brought a unique flavor to the experience, and the crunchy slaw added texture that worked beautifully with the fish. Every component contributed something to the overall bite. This was the taco that surprised me the most and ultimately earned the top spot in my personal ranking. The Philly Taco finished a very close second. If you're a fan of Philly cheesesteaks, you'll immediately understand the appeal. Loaded with shaved ribeye, peppers, onions, and cheese, it delivered exactly the flavors I was hoping for. It was rich, satisfying, and packed with flavor. Sometimes simple combinations work for a reason, and this taco proved that point. The Sesame Ribeye Taco was the most unique of the three. The sesame-soy flavor was bold and immediately noticeable. I enjoyed the flavor profile and appreciated that it took the taco in a different direction than what I typically experience. Rather than trying to imitate a traditional taco, it offered something distinct and memorable. Anyone looking for a creative twist on a taco will likely find this one especially interesting. One thing I appreciated about the trio platter was the opportunity to compare very different flavor profiles side by side. The Fried Fish Taco offered a balance of fish, sauce, and crunch. The Philly Taco delivered familiar comfort-food flavors. The Sesame Ribeye Taco brought a bold and unique flavor profile to the table. Each taco had its own personality, which made the comparison part of the fun. The chips were crisp, the salsa was fresh, and the queso provided a nice complement to the tacos. Combined with the trio platter, it was more than enough food for a satisfying meal. The Social Goat manages to be more than just a taco stop. Between the historic building, the goat-themed decor, the welcoming tavern atmosphere, and a menu filled with creative options, it offers an experience that stands out from the typical restaurant visit. If we return, and there is a good chance we will, there are still eight taco varieties left for us to investigate. The Social Goat Tavern 1115 Church Street Covington, GA 30014

This location is The Man Cave. There is outdoor seating if you prefer fresh air. As we walked in we were greeted by Ms. Pat. She was very sweet and attentive. She informed us they have been there a year and invited us to come back for the New Years celebration. The interior is larger than it looks from the outside. There are booth seats that line the wall with maybe 30 small tables that have a chair. The booth seats are red with black tables/chairs. There is a small stage upfront possibly for the band or artist that sings. It's not large enough for a full band. There is another space for the hostess on the other side. The bar area is towards the rear where maybe 6 or 7 can sit. Ms. Pat took our order shortly after being seated. I ordered collards, yams, fried okra and 4 fried whole wings. You get a meat and 2 sides but I was being greedy! . My husband ordered dressing, smoked ribs, yams and cornbread. I enjoyed my lunch. The chicken wings were very small and that's how I like them. No one wants wings on steroids! Fried crispy and golden. Perfectly seasoned! The collards were delicious. Seasoned with smoked turkey. Okra was delicious fried just right. Crispy! The yams were not too sweet just right. My husband ordered the dressing bc Ms. Pat noted it was a favorite amongst the other guests. He wasn't too crazy about it but it was ok. The ribs were not seasoned enough. The sauce covered the meat so you were not able to really taste the "rib" but it was ok. He says he would not order again. The yams were perfect as I stated earlier. We were offered the Peach Cobbler but since we both had yams we declined the cobbler. Overall, we enjoyed it. Will come back and try other items on the menu. It is a very casual setting. If you want to dress up, go for it but the vibe is very casual. They are closed on Monday.
