Still on my quest to visit every restaurant and bar in Flagler Beach. Break Awayz did not disappoint, in fact it impressed me and the hubby. We went there today for a late lunch. My hubby ordered whatever Lager was on tap and had two of them. He loved it but we never got the name, lol. We ordered two sliders with avocado and bacon and one with caramelized onions and upgraded to the fries and also ordered the hot kettle chips blue cheese and bacon appetizer with balsamic. Wowza! It was sooo good. I also had an unsweetened Arnold Palmer. Fast efficient service and tasty food, what more do you want? They have indoor and outdoor seating and there is an ocean view. We were hot so we wanted to sit inside and we were able to snag their only indoor table. All the other tables were 'high tops". I don't like sitting up high and feet dangling so we were happy. Who serves unseasoned meat for nachos?! They were so underwhelming! Horrible simply horrible! Do NOT order the nachos with ground beef it's just a travesty. They did nachos so wrong. read more

Not too shabby of a place! Really enjoyed the fact that they had plenty of outdoor seating options and the restaurant is located right by the beach. Talk about a nice view during dinner. We were only there for drinks and appetizers, but everyone seemed very pleased. I had the Full Sail IPA (very good) and split the stuffed mushrooms and calamari apps with the rest of the group. Had we stayed for dinner, my heart was set on their Baja tacos. I guess there's something to look forward to on the next visit! read more

My family stopped here on our way home from St Augustine today..... what a great find!!! The staff was great and the food was amazing! I had the chicken pesto flatbread and my husband the filet tacos, both were great. If you're in Flagler beach this is a must! read more

Wayyyyy over priced variety is all over the place from chips and salsa, hummus, tuna tataki, too flat breads over to tomatoe basil then over too lobster ravioli back over too buffalo chicken sliders... the tuna sliders omg weird.... it takes three slide s to make one and if you add the toppings such as cheese, bacon the stuff they offer it would cost $27 a burger.... I left this review while sitting at the bar and was confronted on my review... very polite the service was fine but why confront me for my opinion ? Anyway if you like beer they have a ton of options but again the food was all over the place and over priced. Update to the response made. I've eaten here several times as Sunday and I met there and since have been engaged. She loves the beer and fish tacos but when I spend $30 on two beers and fish tacos it keeps me from going back which makes Sunday upset. We work for a living and at your prices you certainly make it where the average local won't be able to make it a regular spot. read more

Im pretty sure this place stays in biz bc of location and that the reviews that liked the tacos were from Canada or delirious from too much sun. I had to drench mine in lime to choke them down ( i was really hungry). Maybe the "sauce" is what ppl like, it was ranch with salsa (?) mixed in? A lot of canned beer but only 6 taps. They are dog friendly...maybe i should have brought then bc inside the live music was not good. Im giving 2 stars bc even tho the staff had the 'im too busy for you' look, they did, and after i asked for limes n got 2 small slices n had to ask for more she gladly went to the back and got me lime qaurters So yeah this is late and I was kinda letting the dudes response tell you something about what you could expect but it really gave me some chuckles during a review. Maybe I'm just in a gud mood but defensive much . I'm just a regular person not the 2 thumbs up guys (do u remember that? Gosh it feels like forever ago kids it was pre-social media) I can PROMISE there wasn't 130 bottled beers (or whatever he said) i may be a regular person but I am a unashamed beer snob annnnnnd what you had was crap. If I had a hard time finding something gud you need to re-evaluate your priorities. Secondly, I don't know if I mentioned it but I also have a high standard of all mexican food. And I should have known better than to order tacos in Florida but how can you go wrong with tacos?! Well, really very easily. A gud taco starts with gud meat. Fresh tortillas, and after that its just cake! We have eaten here on multiple occasions - everything has been top notch. Service and food. The sliders are great; I love that you can order them individually and make them all different. The oil and bread is like no other and delicious! There salads are always fresh with fantastic dressing. The fish dip and flatbreads are amazing! read more

We tried them for the first time and we will definitely be back. We got the chicken satay and ahi tataki. The tuna was cooked perfectly and delicious. The chef didn't however cut all the way through so more slices were clumped than separate. The chicken satay was better than we got at Thai woodhouse a local Thai restaurant. Their peanut sauce is House made and fantastic. They grill the chicken and give it grill marks adding a wonderful char to it. Beer was only $2.50 which is rarely that cheap. read more

We met a friend here for dinner and drinks. It was rainy outside so the inside was packed and very loud. We were able to find a table. Servers were pretty nice. I had the chicken bacon ranch flatbread and my husband had the buffalo chicken sliders. Both of ours were very good! The only alcohol served there is beer and wines. As a couple that doesn't drink either of those, it was a little disappointing. I think it would be a really fun place if the weather had been good as the outdoor dining overlooks the ocean. read more

GLUTEN FREE HEAVEN!! I found this place on my GF restaurant app. What a find!!! Great atmosphere, beautiful view of Flagler Beach, great staff. Nick, took care of us and was just so gracious, and an amazing server. I believe Ron was in the kitchen - Ron is a culinary genius of all things gluten free!! I had a mahi appetizer and I forget what the entree was called - I think it was flatbread - but it was actually a portobello mushroom - looked like a pizza - had goat cheese and all sorts off other goodies as well a balsamic reduction that was out of this world! I ate every bit of it. (the presentation was stunning as well). Just a great afternoon. Will definitely be back. I talked to a few other customers as i was leaving and they were raving about it as well. Can't wait to go back!!! read more

Seriously. We eat out A LOT and this was HANDS DOWN the best food that I have ever eaten! We shared the stuffed portobello mushroom and their Swordfish special, which was swordfish topped with pineapple and a blueberry sauce, sugar snap peas, and coconut, cilantro mashed potatoes. Got beer cheese soup. Good but came out barely warm....soup needs to be HOT. The ahi tuna bowl was just okay, I do not know why everyone raves about it. My asian husband said that it is an ahi tuna bowl for white people-coleslaw basically and tuna and the white rice. Service was fine/nice. My drink was good. Good atmosphere. Sat outside. The flagler bites were good. Average place in my opinion, nothing special about it, nothing bad about it. My husband went somewhere else after and cooked mussels and shrimp for himself. read more

We're from out of town and they even had a Tallahassee beer here which brought a little piece of home to me!! I don't like anything from the sea but I just tried the calamari and it's very good. We have enjoyed every visit to this restaurant! From the street it looks like a coastal bar. But don't let the looks deceive you. We had the chicken tacos, tuna tataki and the chicken satay. They were excellent!!! On previous visit we thoroughly enjoyed the poke bowl and flat bread pizza. This time we shared the "Tuxedo Bomb"! It was a chocolate delight with fresh whip cream and fresh sweet strawberries! Don't pass it up! They offer several types of beer on tap and over 100 different types of beer. I usually enjoy their wine but this time I went for a porter. Outstanding!!! Beth our server was fantastic! There are picnic table out front, high top tables on the porch and a full bar and additional tables inside. If you don't try this restaurant bar you will regret it. read more

I gotta say. I don't get it. Nice view. If not for the ocean this place Would get a one star. Service was very slow. Food was just not good. In all honesty it doesn't deserve 2 stars but I did enjoy the view. The nachos were horrible. Just horrible. Burnt must be in because everything was burnt. Sliders were seriously over cooked and bread was hard and burnt. Fries came out literally 10 minutes after the food. Was there for 1 1/2 hours for nachos and sliders. While I appreciate not being rushed it was slow. The place was not busy, understandably, and it was a long wait. I want to support local businesses especially after the crisis but please. It cost nothing to cook the food properly. Very disappointing read more
