Grilled Cheese Breakfast Sandwich
Blue H.

My family and I were in Arizona for my daughter's volleyball tournament. I highly recommend this place. I ordered the grilled cheese breakfast sandwich. It was really good! The customer service was amazing.

Great looking menu . Many many choices. Sat at the counter You can also sit outside or grab a table. Fresh squeezed juices and breakfast sodas? Yes, please. I had the orange juice- and we also tried the vanilla strawberry orange soda which was like a creamsicle. Ordered the prosciutto fig toast and the steel cut oats . Service was friendly and helpful. They know their menu, as large as it is. Everything was delicious. No notes.

Came here to try the Churro Waffle after seeing the Yelp reviews raving about them. Didn't actually get to try them though. Ordered the Churro Waffle along with their Salmon Benedict and Chicken-Fried Chicken. The two savory dishes that did arrive were good, and after filling up on them with no waffle in sight, we waved our server down to help us cancel since we were feeling incredibly full and had a busy day ahead of us. Tbh, I'm not entirely sure if it was ever put in by our server? Also got their Bloody Mary to try, which tasted pretty spicy to me even though I asked for the non-spicy version when our server took our order. Can't imagine what the spicy version would've tasted like if it was really the non-spicy version that I got. Overall, the restaurant is bright and clean, and definitely bustling that morning. Perhaps if we had come when it wasn't as busy, the service would've been more attentive and we would've gotten all of what we ordered.

Really lovely here, love the 2nd floor outdoor patio seating. Prob could bring a dog outside but it's mostly downtown hotel guests and convention center guests. Cheerleader convention going on today, was super cute seeing everyone outside. Lovely weather in Phx mornings too! Had a traditional scramble eggs and ham cheese onion and toast! Big coffee too. Delightful place for breakfast- 20/10 for the neat upper level location !

Old pineapple

Corporate breakfast spot = mediocre and pricy Coffee was lukewarm, watery, sour Some of the fruit was past ripe Avo toast didn't have much avo and didnt look very fresh - was still decent though Found hair in the food towards end of meal.... Not it

Iced coffee with almond milk and caramel

I had often walked by this bright and colorful establishment but finally got a chance to try them out, and oh the time I've wasted. Every single item was a triumph. Their water is purified and clean tasting, their iced coffee is flavorful, all milk options you need, and the food. Lord have mercy. The breakfast burrito was perfectly balanced, chorizo, quest, vegetables, you name it, it was flawless. Every young lady working here was friendly and provided solid service, and the music was a good volume. Good crowd, didn't wait long, and every bit of the experience was worth every penny. A must try if you are downtown here in Phoenix AZ.

What I got : Mimosa Two scrambled eggs with spinach added Eggs tasted like the ones in cartons atleastvthe spinach tasted fresh but they gave my food to someone else and had to wait like awhile till the bartenders stopped talking to each other to pay attention tot he customers trying to them it wasn't there's , always packed and loud not a fan of this place

I would say I was excited to try this place ! I got eggs Benny with turkey and honestly wasn't that good and the potato's were legit cold . The vibe was cute and wait staff was nice but me and my date food was less than exciting.. 50/50 I'm sure If I'd go back

Short Rib Hash!! YAY!!

Super friendly and fantastic service from our server, RYAN. This establishment is in a great location downtown and close to many sights. There's garage parking if needed and take the elevator up to 2. I highly recommend the Short Rib Hash. It's perfectly seasoned, cooked well and combined with potatoes and small bits of just the right amount of carrots. I had the Side order and it was plenty! As husband is an omelet expert, says that the all meat omelet was outstanding. I'd pass on the oatmilk latte- tasted a bit like it was made with regular coffee.

Kim L.

Great food, fun location/ nice waitstaff, but not very attentive - it's really loud in there, difficult to have a conversation. Irish oatmeal was awesome and so was the mushroom toast. My daughter loved her breakfast sandwich

Avocado toast

Server at the bar was nice, juice was okay not fresh but still good, but my avocado on my toast was brown and did not taste good. You'll see the pineapple and watermelon too were not fresh as well. This was a photo of the second toast they made. I'd find another spot in town if visiting and wanted a nice breakfast! I'll also add that when I let the person who cashed me out (not my original server) that my food did not taste good and I still paid in full.

Overnight oats with almonds, cinnamon and blueberry. Healthy, tasty and refreshing!

The food is so yummy. We waited about 20 minutes and this place was packed so this was impressive. Our server, Jack, was great too! The weather was perfect too eat outside and we liked having this option. Will definitely eat here again when we are in Phoenix!

Omelette with hash browns and fruit

What a fantastic breakfast before heading to Sedona. We sat outside on there cool patio. But the counter service looked great too. Ryan our server was wonderful. He was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed a delicious meal at very reasonable prices. I had the veggie sandwich with breakfast potatoes and my husband had a made to order omelette with hash browns and fresh fruit. Both were perfect.

How is parking for this location?

There's parking in a below ground garage. Usually not full during the hours this restaurant is open. You can access it on the north side of Jefferson between 1st Ave and 1st st. The restaurant provides 2-hour validation.

Is there bottomless mimosas?

Hi Chris, Thank you for making inquiry about our mimosas. We do not offer bottomless mimosas at this time.

We are looking for somewhere to have a company breakfast meeting. Do you have a private room that would seat about 30?

No. Normal restaurar seating only.

The theme is (as one might suspect) songbirds and the entire Cafe is decorated with small songbird items. As a detail oriented person, I was in heaven noticing all the cute decorations. I ordered the matcha latte and it did not disappoint. My friend ordered an iced americano. Both are classic items and they delivered well. There is plenty of seating inside and outside (weather permitting) and it seems like it would be a peaceful place to study or work. The baristas were sweet and patient and helpful with the menu.

Apparently the shop sources coffees and teas from local businesses. For example, coffees = Infusion Coffee Roasters in Tempe, loose leaf teas and chai = Maya Tea Company in Tucson, kombucha = Milly Moon Kombucha in Phoenix, and breakfast burritos = Lua Lua Catering. [Parking]: Mostly metered parking and I ended up parking few blocks away from the shop (plenty of metered parking spots near the intersection of E McKinley St & N 5th St). [Atmosphere]: Inside of this historic house, the wall features the work of local artists. The shop also has a cute outdoor patio area with tables. [Menu]: Apparently Matcha Latte is one of the more popular drinks here. The shop offers 12 black tea options, 9 green tea options, 8 herbal tea options, 4 white tea options, and 3 oolong tea options. *** Matcha Latte (16 oz, iced - $6.25): I was surprised that my drink was sugar free by default and I probably say yes when the staff had asked about adding sweetener. The drink was not as creamy as I thought and it was honestly a fairly mediocre drink. The drink also came with a paper straw. *** A great spot for a casual 1st date due to great vibe, but matcha latte just didn't hit the spot.

The first time I ordered it unsweetened was accidental, but trying it without sweetener or flavor was what made me realize that their matcha may be the best I've ever had. I've also had their Mas matcha latte and it is also absolutely delicious and simple and still allows me to taste the matcha through the vanilla and sweetness. I've been to other places that serve Kettl matcha, but none have tasted nearly as rich as Futuro's. The atmosphere itself is true to its name. It is futuristic, simple, and beautiful. It is full of unique art pieces of all types, and they sell their coffees and teas as well. I feel at peace inside and they always have vibey music playing at a perfect volume and incense lit. The service itself is one of a kind and makes me feel like I'm at a 5-star restaurant. They bring your items out on a beautiful tray and will always serve your drink with a cup of water on the side if you order it for here. They will even package your food up for you, which I would never expect from a coffee shop. It can be busy at times with a bit of a wait because the drinks are all made one at a time, but it's always worth the wait. The place isn't very big but has plenty of seating given the space. For working from home, they do have wifi but limited outlets. Their pastries served from a local bakery are also delicious.

I saw in one of the comfy chairs while I waited for my former student to arrive. At that point, we moved to a regular table and then went and ordered drinks. She ordered a coffee, and I ordered a lemonade. We both enjoyed our drinks which were ready very quickly. There were smaller and larger tables, and there were also countertops along with business cards and marketing items at the back of the room on a thin table. Lola Coffee began with humble beginnings going back to 1992 with a cart, then Lux Coffee, and eventually Lola Coffee downtown. Now, there is even a second Lola Coffee location in Arcadia near 40th Street and Indian School. Today, they serve coffee, pastries, and breakfast. The Downtown Phoenix location hours are weekdays from 6:30 AM to 7 PM and weekends from 7 AM to 7 PM. You can see their menu, history, photos, and more on their website (https://lolacoffeebarphx.com).
