Pretty good overall. I've been here a few times-- there are a few things I think are amazing and a few others that are so so. Definitely love the soufflé pancakes. Those are a must get. This place was an extreme let down from moment of checking in to the end of the meal at payment. We checked in at noon but didn't get seated until 30 minutes later. Once seated we were able to put in our order with two of our members running late but promptly placed their orders about 5-10 minutes later. With that in mind, all of our dishes came out at varying times. My chicken and waffle came out first and we had to awkwardly eat it while the next single dish came out 10 minutes later. Drinks also were out at random as well throughout the meal. One in our party didn't get their food at all and staff came over with a couple dishes that we did not order which was rather strange. I tried the poutine fries, Ube pancakes, RBG (chicken and waffles) and the pork belly fried rice. The Ube pancake lacked Ube, the waffle a bit dry. My favorite was the pork belly fried rice only because it was the only thing that tasted seasoned well. For the price, it wasnt really worth the experience overall. It was hard to hear in the place and rather loud. The service and vibes were overwhelming and food underwhelming at the same time. Came to Breaking Dawn Brunch for the 2nd time on a Sunday at around 930am and there was no wait. We chose to sit outside and our waiter Raymond quickly got us waters and menus. The outdoor parklet seating is nice and clean with some cute planters on both ends. RBF: the pandan waffle itself was very light in flavor, but the café sua da syrup went perfectly with the waffle and helped balance out the umami of the chicken, which was nicely breaded and crunchy but still tender inside. Even though there was only one strawberry cut into quarters as garnish, it was perfectly ripe. It would've been nice if there was a bit more fruit to balance out the chicken and waffles though. Pho Poutine: I've gotten this before, and it's still just as good as before - a generous heaping of tender meat with very umami gravy that perfectly melts the cheese. The potatos are piping hot and lightly crispy. Everything is very umami - almost a little too much. It would be nice if the dishes came with a side salad or something fresh to balance out how rich everything else. Like it is literally a banh mi with brisket (like kbbq brisket) and the fixins for the banh mi and just the broth was a nice combo. I ordered the burger so I could watch the machine make it and that was worth it for experience alone (burger was just a normal burger). The Loco Moco had little to no flavoring, like barely any salt? It felt like either they completely forgot to season it or it really just was not a yummy meal to order. It's very loud in there with a live DJ and the tables are extremely close to one another. Tested out my family friendly theory by bringing visiting friends and their kids and it was a massive success! Came for lunch as a group of 7 adults and three kids (ages 8-11) and every person told me what a great choice it was. The adults enjoyed the creative cocktails, spring rolls were a hit with everyone, and all of the kids founds something to love despite numerous allergies. One person needed gluten free and while I believe she only had 3 plates to choose from, she said she really enjoyed the soba salad she ordered. But the waffle got soggy quick and did t have much flavor. The cafe de sua was condensed milk with a slight after taste of coffee. I would suggest giving a knife with the plate to cut the chicken haha. Pho poutine- really good but you need to eat it with all the toppings as it balances out the salty with some sweet/cuts through it. I think i wished for a better cheese pull. The meat is enough but not piled on so expect more fries. Not really like pho as the sauce is sort of sweet and sour but still yummy. We've been here a few times for dinner, which has been hit or miss in terms of food and service. In fact, our last dinner experience almost kept us from coming back. But we decided to give brunch a shot after our oldest son recommended it and we're glad we did. The pho brisket dip is a must, it reminded me a lot of the one from The Pig & The Lady in Hawaii. That spot recently changed their ingredients, and it hasn't been the same, but this version came pretty close flavorful and really satisfying. Our youngest got the pho poutine fries, which were also a highlight. Super crispy fries topped with gravy and cheese curds seriously good. My wife had the pancake, which she said was just okay. The texture was different from a typical pancake not bad, just not her favorite. We also tried the breakfast burrito, which was solid and reliable. And a shoutout to our server, Raymond, who really turned things around for us. His service more than made up for the poor experience we had at dinner he's a big reason we'll be back. Meat was very tender and juicy. 7.5/10 Shrimp Gỏi: One of our favorite dishes! So refreshing and light and the shrimp was cooked beautifully. 9/10 Noods Please + tofu: Another favorite! These noodles were so flavorful we were practically fighting for the last few bites. We opted for tofu since our other dishes had a lot of meats already. 9/10 Banh Xeo Tacos: I was looking forward to this the most but fell a little flat for me personally. Flavor was definitely there but texturally the shell was incredibly hard and the meat pieces were a bit too large to bite and chew. I commend them for the creativity but it sadly wasn't my favorite 5.5/10 Drinks: Roasted Bloody (lemon pepper rim was tasty) Me Espresso (strong taste, the cookie was nice) Piña Pandan (highly recommend, very refreshing! its so good) The actual restaurant is super cute and they have a burger robot in the back. This spot has probably been here over a year, but we hadn't got around to trying it. It's a Vietnamese/American/Asian fusion brunch spot. It seems odd at first, but it just works and pretty much everything we sampled was super tasty! I had the sesame grilled chicken salad, this was very crispy and crunchy and refreshing on a hot day. The dressing wasn't too overpowering and the chicken was excellent and clearly marinaded nicely before grilling. We also shared the beef poutine which was delicious! Love Breaking Dawn Brunch's take on an Asian Fusion brunch! This spot uses to have crazy long wait times, but now it's a little easier to get into. The interior is really nice--from their chairs and tables, to a gorgeous bar. Service was great, our server was attentive and even brought us a little coat rack next to our table for our coats and bags. For appetizers, we got the Banh Xeo Tacos and the Pho Poutine that everyone talks about! I enjoyed the Banh Xeo Tacos that had grilled pork, shrimp, lettuce, sprouts, mint, and pickled onions in a crunchy crepe and served with Vietnamese vinaigrette on the side. They were a little difficult to eat though. The crepe is very crunchy, so after taking your first bite, it pretty much cracks apart. I ended up having to eat it with a fork instead. No wonder our server brought us extra napkins for these! The Pho Poutine really tastes like pho! The beef short rib was very tender, and the pho gravy really gave off those pho flavors. The cheese curds were very melty, and the cilantro and onions gave it some nice texture and flavor to the fries. I'm a sucker for anything pandan, so when I saw the RBF (Resting Brunch Face) with the pandan waffle, I knew I had to try it! On top of the waffle comes three boneless pieces of fried chicken and berries with cafe sua da syrup on the side. Get a little bit of each thing in one bite, and it was really tasty!
