I love this place & it competes pretty closely with Shilla Bakery down the street. My favorite items to get here are Green Bean Bread, White Bean Bread, Fruit Pastry, Yogurt/Fruit Bingsoo (They offer a cup size & large size, which is awesome), Frozen Yogurt. I've also had the Blueberry Cream Cheese Pastry & it was quite good also. They offer more variety on their menus including hot/cold beverages, sandwiches, & korean food items. Price wise, I believe it is a bit more expensive in comparison with Shilla Bakery. The two things that this place beats in comparison are the customer service/friendliness & the space/ambiance. There are 10x friendlier & inviting than the staff at Shilla Bakery. I mean what beats having the entire staff welcoming you as you come through the door? It is also two levels with an outdoor patio (which is awesome during the warmer seasons), they have a lot more seating & space than Shilla Bakery. The only thing that is keeping me from giving the 5th complete star is that if you come late afternoon/evening, you will not likely find anything you want or came to get in the bread/pastry section. In comparison to Shilla Bakery where they usually are pretty much fully stocked with all the general favorites. Breeze Also has a smaller selection in variety than Shilla Bakery also. Overall, I love coming here when it's convenient especially after eating at Yechon since it's right next door. If I had to choose either Shilla Bakery or Breeze, I would choose Shilla Bakery solely because I grew up going there & I know they usually have my favorites in stock. Breeze was the very first Korean bakery I'd ever been to, and I've been in love ever since! Wow, I don't even know where to begin with this place. I love when you walk in and they have shelves and shelves full of fresh baked goods for you to sample (like most Korean bakeries). They also have a great assortment of colorful cakes and cupcakes. The place is decorated like it's some sort of wonderland, and they have a really nice upstairs sitting area. The first time I tried bingsoo was here, actually, and I haven't had it anywhere else but I love it, and I've been told that Breeze is the best place to get it around here. In particular, I like to get it with almond gelato. It comes with lots of fruit and Frosted Flakes on top. But make sure if you get the bigger one that you bring a lot of people to share it with! I will say that I'm not a huge fan of their cupcakes, but pretty much everything else is great. In terms of baked goods, I like to get their mammoth bread to take home with me. I love this place, though i still tend to go to Shilla more often. It's open pretty late, and great for groups of people. I usually come here to study because of the ample space upstairs AND outside. On a beautiful day, it's so lovely to enjoy a book, some coffee, a pastry, and the outdoors. The selection of pastries are tasty, though less than Shilla's. They are more vibrant modern than Shilla though; their menus are all digital monitors. They offer a huge variety of coffee and tea selections, and their cakes in the display looks absolutely amazing. I've tried a variety of things from this spot, so I'll try to organize my review so! But I just want to say that their yogurt bingsoo is the reason I keep returning. Sooo Yogurt bingsoo: my bf and I always get a large and it really is large LOL. The yogurt is so perfectly tart and goes so well with the rest of the fruit, shaved ice, and condensed milk. I like that it's not overly sweet because that's what the shaved ice and condensed milk is for. It's so creamy and just so yummy. I will never get tired of it. I've also had the strawberry bingsoo and that's probably my second favorite, but the yogurt bingsoo is what makes this place different from manoa and other spots. Milk tea: not bad but I don't think I would spend my money on it again just bc there's plenty of other better places to get bubble tea. They just use the powders and mix it with milk, etc. their bubbles are very bland bc they don't soak it with honey/sugar water. Pastries: I try a different pastry every time and I have never been disappointed! I usually try to get them when it's been fresh baked and just put out. My all time FAVORITE is the onion fromage. One time I got it when they just put it out and my gosh it was amazing. I always pick up some read bean mochi for my mama as well and she loves it. And finally, the atmosphere is so great. This place is literally amazing and offers sucha great eye candy. Just staring at the baked goods itself made me full already. Came to Breeze after having a meal at Yechon to check out the breads they have. I bought a couple things and they were having 40% off maybe because the closing time was around the corner and they want to get rid of the stuff so they don't go bad - I applaud this because we waste so much food everyday and it is a great way to save food so Kudos to Breeze! My first time here I got a few breads and they were all very delicious. Line was pretty long but the service was good so we did not have to wait longer than expected. The employees were very nice and polite. I got the coffee bubble tea and it was so good! The second time I came here, we got breads again lol and bingsoo which was so yummy! I would recommend coming here after eating at Yechon or just to buy bread or any dessert really. It's worth the drive and definitely worth your money. Stumbled across this gem of a bakery in the Falls Church area. Outside, the building is a somewhat unassuming brown brick, 2-story, weathered building with a small green awning and a tiny white oval sign (presumably lit at night) on the side. Walk through the doors, however, and you are met with the pleasant smell of fresh-baked goods displayed in clean cases and stands, adorable kawai and other Asian accessories (the small penguin insulated bottles are beyond adorable!) and a surprisingly expansive menu ranging from shaved ice to bubble tea to smoothies. Baked goods include savory and sweet, and if you want to eat there, an inviting seating area on the ground floor offers cozy wooden chairs and tables, with additional seating on the second floor. We picked up a few items to take home and try: a red bean paste bun, an apple loaf, freshly made mochi, and a steamed white bun with red beans. Was tempted to buy one of the beautifully decorated cakes but didn't think it'd make it home given the excessive heat. We tried the red bean paste bun already - it was delicious! This is a review only of the experience of ordering a wedding cake with Breeze. Breeze has awesome customer service. The AGM John was super helpful and friendly - I cannot praise him enough for his customer service. He walked me through the whole process or ordering a cake, design options, how delivery and payment worked, etc. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and really flexible about edits, including changing delivery time and cake flavor. Breeze is a Korean bakery, so the cakes are frosted with fresh cream instead of fondant. This means they don't do as well outside in the heat or have as elaborate design options. However, I personally think fresh cream tastes better, and if you've ever had a cake from an Asian bakery, you know how light and tasty they are. See pix to see how how awesome my cake turned out. GET THE GREEN TEA CAKE. I bought pieces of cake to bring home after I did the tasting in store to get a second opinion, and green tea was by far the favorite amongst a diverse group of friends. If you're looking for a wedding cake, you can get a smaller tiered cake for show and a sheet cake on the side in order to serve guests more efficiently. However, we ended up ordering the huge 3 tier cake because the price was comparable (maybe $20 more?) and we needed the cake for something showy. (I think a cake was priced based on # of tiers, not base size of tiers.) Also note that you cannot pick up a tiered cake yourself, they only have a delivery option that charges based on mileage (I assume from too many mishaps in the past). The only hiccup at Breeze was having to make payments in person instead of online or over the phone, but the customer service and pricing of the cake made it well worth the 30-minute hike out to Annandale from the District. read more

This place was pretty good! The interior and ambience of the place was lovely and the decorations were cute. The bakery was full of a variety of baked goods, I ended up trying the circle donuts with red bean filling that was really good. For food, I ordered a bulgogi quesadilla. The combination of the bulgogi and cheese tasted fantastic and the chips were a good crunchy complement to the quesadilla. It was however on the oily side but this may be because I don't eat quesadillas often. I think my favorite part was sharing the strawberry snow with my friends. I would rank their savory pastries a 1 or 2, their sweet pastries probably around a 4. I had shared an assortment of savory pastries (tuna, premium veggie and meat, and another meat one) as well as the milk bingsu. The tuna pastry tasted like a tuna sandwich on croissant. The two meat ones were basically indistinguishable from one another, and it was hard to tell what was actually in it. They probably would have tasted better warmed up; I had brought a portion of it home just so I can microwave it, but even then, it wasn't anything special. We had gotten there later in the day, so a lot of the pastries seemed like it was mislabelled (we had gotten a tuna mislabelled as a ham and cheese; and my meat croquette was definitely not that). I enjoyed the milk bingsu (it was my first time trying bingsu!). The portion size for the regular size was pretty small, and was pretty pricey for what you got. I would definitely recommend getting a large though, which seemed like it was 4x the size as the regular size. My friend had gotten a mango cream cake and walnut cake that she brought home and reported as being delicious. The packaging for the mango cake was super cute! read more

MY ALL TIME favorite café! I live in MoCo MD and I literally drive all the way to Annandale just to come here. I love their bingsoo and their coffee is good. I've bought their cakes twice: animal and regular and they are amazing and worth the price!! They are a bit pricey, but me and my friends usually split the price between one cake for birthdays, so you end up paying only around $8 for an entire cake. Their bread seems fresh and their mocha buns are really good. The workers are polite and the environment is always great. I especially love eating outdoors on the 2nd floor. I love breeze. Particularly their frozen yogurt. It is like the tart yogurt you get at normal America's froyo places but so much better. I find it the perfect thing to end any meal with, especially if you just finished KBBQ or something heavy. Bonus: helps with digestion too! I have been going to this place for many years now. They have a great selection and variety of pastries and dessert. They even added meals to their menu some time ago, which is nice if you want a meal, dessert, and a drink all at the same place. It is nice and bright inside, which highlights the desserts in their cooler. The staff members are usually cordial and quick so you don't end up waiting for a long time. This place used to not have any parking at all and it would be very crowded inside during the peak hours. However, they also expanded their parking lot to accommodate more people and it seems like the volume kind of dropped, enough for me to find a seat everytime I go. I usually go in the evening on a Friday or Saturday, which I believe would be considered peak time. Either way, it is a plus for me if I can get my dessert fast and find a seat everytime. I do think their desserts are a bit overpriced. I'd spend anywhere between $10 ~ $20 buying few breads and a dessert from the cooler. Their selling point is probably the presentation of the desserts, they do look appetizing. Though, I wish that they would have more variety on the pastries. There are two floors, and when the whether is nice, there's a deck outside where you can go sit and chill out. Today, I got the Thai tea smoothie and it's so good.
