This is the place to visit when you want to enjoy a delicious meal inside a beautiful establishment. The staff here are incredibly professional and very warm and welcoming. Our brunch was so good this morning thanks to Ms Lynika and Mr.Joe. We couldn't help but talk and share our stories and swap which hot sauce we like best. Cuz if you know, ya know! We asked if it was alright, if we can use our own bottle of hot sauce with the soft shell crab. And that's when our server smiled and whispered, of course! The turtle soup, filet, eggs Benedict we're all amazing and that banana foster was the star of the day. Chris the Asst.GM shared with us the famous story about the upstairs. But I won't tell you. You'll just have to go and ask for Ms Lynika and Mr.Joe's section and wait for Mr Chris to ask. Thank you everyone for the beautiful brunch.
We went to Brennan's to celebrate a promotion and had indicated the occasion when making our reservation, so we were a little disappointed that it was never acknowledged. The restaurant itself is beautiful, and the food was very good and perfectly cooked, but the service felt surprisingly impersonal for a restaurant of this caliber. We ordered a bottle of wine from their expansive wine list, along with the turtle soup, Creole hanger steak, Redfish Veronique, Gulf Fish, and Grand Isle Jewel Oysters. We also ordered the rice dressing, which was initially forgotten and had to be requested again. Our server was efficient but not particularly friendly or conversational. It felt very much like order, deliver the food, and move on. The hostess was also not especially welcoming. The sommelier was easily the warmest interaction we had throughout the meal. Overall, the food was excellent, but the service and lack of acknowledgment of our celebration kept the experience from feeling as special as we had hoped.
This spot is excellent from the historical and stunning ambiance to the food and the service all the way to the wine pairings. A grand time is always had at this establishment! Bar service is excellent here as well but get a table for the full experience.
Food and table service are easily 5 stars. The crab claws were so rich and buttery and the fish entree was fantastic. My main issue is with the front desk. Upon on time arrival for our reservation, we were told our table wasn't ready yet and to hang out in the bar area. We sat at the bar and were getting ready to order drinks when all of a sudden our table was ready. Why the song and dance? After dinner, I noticed my ID was missing. I called but could not get ahold of a live person. I was in town for a conference all weekend and didn't have time to go back to see if it was there, hence my phone call(s). I tried calling all weekend with no answer and no return call to the 2 voicemails I left. I really didn't want to spend the money on an uber to go across town. My bad for misplacing my id, but no one really answers the phone or checks the messages!? Never got a call back.
This place has the best gumbo I've had in Nola. It's served in perfect temperature and the flavor is so complex Entres are so good too. I love the red fish and the gulf fish Banana foster is so delicious. The waiter had a whole show cooking it for us fresh. So amazing
In New Orleans, LA on vacation for my birthday and we're checking out all of the touristy spots of course! So we had to come to where the incredible, almighty "Banana's Foster" dessert was created! Here's how our time was at Brennan's. Atmosphere/Appearance: We came in the front door and the whole back of the restaurant was packed for a private party and I respect that so my wife and I took some seats at the bar that were recently vacated. We didn't get a whole tour of the restaurant, but it felt like a big mansion with several partitions, rooms and etc. Lighting was dim, a bit dark and intimate, but the atmosphere felt so calm and chill compared to Bourbon Street nearby. Lol. Service: I can't remember who took care of us, but she was the bartender and she was awesome. We had no problems whatsoever and when it came time to make the infamous dessert, she popped out from behind the bar to put on quite an amazing show! Food/Drink: I started out with their Lobster Risotto and it was fantastic. Creamy, hearty and BURSTING with flavor! I absolutely loved it and loved how it was a smaller portion as an appetizer. For my entree I with with the BBQ Shrimp and a side of their grilled asparagus. Delicious through and through. Portion, presentation, flavor and everything was just top-tier. No complaints. Value: This place won't break the bank, but it's not cheap eating either. It's a good date-night spot so be prepared to spend, but if you do it right, you won't blow your budget. In conclusion, I really enjoyed my time here at Brennan's! No complaints! Check this place out if you're in the area and it certainly lived up to it's reputation.
Meh...the courtyard and the interior decor are maybe worth the photos? The food was alright, gumbo and Bloody Mary were good. Turtle soup was interesting and tangy after they added the Sherry at the table. Maybe that's how it's supposed to be? Our waiter must have been over it because he didn't even tell us the history/origins of the $30 table side banana foster we ordered like the menu described. Maybe he thought we already heard it from the other tables? Turtle soup on the menu with turtles in the courtyard. A place where they ask you to remove a hat but a wig, face glitter and boas are fine. So I guess it's all about the balance. Cute for the photos but fancy for nothing.
Did you know the chefs here occasionally travel the world for inspiration? I knew this place was special when I broke a piece of their complimentary New Orleans style bread, biting into that crisp shell and into a heavenly pillow of softness. Wow, wish they made bread like this at home! By the way, I recommend making a reservation at OpenTable. They did have empty tables when I went in, but I assume they keep a few open for regulars and special guests. I went with their 80th anniversary $80 tasting menu for breakfast, and it worth absolutely worth it. Each dish comes paired with a drink, so there's big value here to justify the price tag. The service was outstanding as well. They started me off with a Brandy Milk Punch, which tasted kind of like an elevated eggnog. It paired with the Baked Apple. I'm not usually a big fan of apples in terms of texture, but they did it well and I liked how they stuffed the core with oatmeal. It's a nice half slice of baked apple in a tasty, brown sugar glaze. I went with the Seafood Gumbo because I didn't have the heart to eat a snapping turtle (I'm assuming), but people did say good things about it. It came with a Bloody Bull cocktail, a spin on a Bloody Mary. It wasn't my cup of tea, but I get the flavor profile and the spice pairs well with the gumbo. The soup really did help really kick things off and set the tone for the rest of the meal. I highly enjoyed their Egg Hussarde, which was invented here. I've had a lot of bennies, but this one is fantastic and paired well with the champagne. I also ordered my egg soft and it was poached perfectly! This is definitely an elevated version of Egg Benedict and I hope more places around the world adopts it! The Petit Filet Mignon had a cute presentation with their Potato Rosti and came sliced over a bed of garlic spinach and garlic demiglaze. Fantastic! The red wine 'Cuvee Vincent' Cotes du Rhone 2023 was very smooth, definitely was no $8 retail California table wine. If a dish could be a love letter, this was it. And the World Famous Bananas Foster? Magic! Love the presentation, love the story, and love the taste. You get a whole banana so the portion is good and the coffee helped cut through the sweetness. Vanilla ice cream gave it a nice, clean taste. No danger of a tourist trap here: all in all, Brennan's is absolutely worth the trip!
If you are going to eat one past dish in New Orleans, go to Dickie Brennan's.! Service is Amazing! The restaurant has a cozy ambiance. This place is only missing one thing! Matchbooks!
The service was very good, and they served our large party of 8 with ease. Food is also performance art here when the service prepared Eggs Ralph and later Banana Fosters table side. The restroom is nearly as fancy as the dining room! Despite a crowded Sunday brunch service, it wasn't overly noisy. The food... I was disappointed with shrimp and grits, expecting actual grits rather than a grit cake. My parents loved their soft shell crab and the Eggs Ralph diners loved their soft scrambled eggs with crab. I had a bite of my husband's and was overwhelmed with dill, which wasn't for me with eggs and crab. The kid's meal is a pleasant surprise. Three courses for them for $25: fruit with whipped cream, their brunch choice, and then ice cream for dessert! My kids were definitely fans. My daughter saw a bday dessert with cotton candy and says she wants that next time we come!
Brennan's ended up being our favorite dining experience in New Orleans. Everything from the food to the service was so good. We were seated quickly, our drinks were constantly refilled, and every staff member we interacted with was attentive without being over the top. The restaurant itself is beautiful and just has that classic New Orleans feel. The whole dinner felt special from start to finish. Definitely one of those places that lives up to the hype, and we'll absolutely come back the next time we're in town.
Felt like we had to make a stop since it kept coming up as one of the iconic and historic places in New Orleans to go eat at. We went for brunch. Overall, food was alright but waiter was great. Ordered: - Turtle Soup - This might have been my first or second time having this dish ever. It was fine. Didn't stand out to me - Eggs Hussarde - Their version of eggs benedict. It has Marchand De Vin Sauce which is a wine sauce. Works pretty well with the eggs. - Banana Foster - Their iconic table side dessert. Comes with a whole show/story time of the origin of the dessert. It was good and would do again if it was my first time but I would also be interested in trying their other desserts if we went again. So we originally were planning to eat here for dinner. They didn't have any reservations left on OpenTable, so I went ahead and just did the notify me option on the app. Throughout the week and day of we had a couple times when the reservation would pop up but we were too slow to get it. We decided to go ahead and try our luck with a walk in. Got there probably around 6PM ish on a Saturday night (about 15 minutes after they started their dinner services). We were told by the hostess that they were "fully committed for the night". I went ahead and asked if they had openings for the next day and got an 11:30 reservation for Sunday. We went ahead and got dinner elsewhere on Saturday, but around 8:30PM I got multiple notifications from OpenTable in a row that multiple tables were available from 8:45 and 9PM.
Our experience at Brennans was amazing from start to finish. The staff made our anniversary feel special with complimentary champagne, setting the tone for a great night. The ambiance was elegant and welcoming, and every dish was flavorful and beautifully presented. A standout was the Banana Foster,rich, perfectly balanced, and easily one of the best we've had. Service was attentive and thoughtful throughout, including a surprise appetizer that made the evening even more memorable. Overall, everything was exceptional. We'll definitely be back and highly recommend Brennans for a special night out.

Go in the mornings and skip the banana fosters ! Felt like this was slightly overhyped . I couldn't see much of the beautiful decor when I went for dinner and the oysters were actually bad. Star dish was the burrata that was perfectly executed. Chefs kiss! Also tried their seasonal special the soft shell crab. read more
Started with raw and bbq oysters. The raw oysters came with a vinaigrette in the shell which was quite tasty as were the bbq oysters. Had the redfish which came with fingerling potatoes in a nice sauce. Wanted to try the redfish at Brennan's since this is where a couple of famous chefs made it a household word. The redfish was good, but not the best type of fish I ever had. For dessert we tried the bananas forester which was a nice show, see photos. One of our table mates had the bread pudding which we all enjoyed and thought better than the banana forester. read more
5 stars all around. If you looking fancy it up for a night, this is the place for you. Exceptional service, high quality food with service that's unmatched. The food does not come in big portions, so make sure to order extra. It's decent price for the quality of food. I forgot the name of every meal. read more
Brennan's is hands down my favorite restaurant in New Orleans! From the moment you walk in, the beautiful décor and classic New Orleans ambience set the tone for an unforgettable experience. This place truly feels special, so reservations are a must. For the food: I ordered the redfish plate, and wow--it was perfectly cooked and incredibly flavorful. The dish was beautifully complemented by grapes, which added a subtle sweetness that balanced everything so well. Thoughtful, refined, and absolutely delicious. We also tried the gumbo. While it was good and worth trying, I didn't feel it was absolutely necessary compared to the standout dishes--it felt just a little lighter in flavor than expected. Still enjoyable, just not the star of the meal for me. And of course, we couldn't skip the famous Bananas Foster. While it's essentially caramelized bananas over vanilla ice cream, the tableside presentation makes it such a fun and iconic experience. Definitely worth ordering, especially for first-timers! The service was outstanding. Our waitress was super friendly and attentive, and the manager even came by to check on us, which really elevated the experience. Overall, Brennan's delivers on food, atmosphere, and hospitality. A true New Orleans staple and an absolute must-visit, especially if it's your first time in NOLA. It was a whole experience having brunch at Brennan's. We came to Brennan's with our group of seven for brunch. It has a beautiful ambiance and was decorated so lovely for the holidays. We got a big booth table and it was very classy from the jump. We were so well cared the entire time. We did three appetizers for the table and then after very careful consideration of all the tempting options, I settled on the CROQUE MONSIEUR topped with an over easy egg and my goodness. Every bite was incredible, all the flavors just combined perfectly. I would order that again and again. Some other winners are the table were the EGGS HUSSARDE and the Owen's scotch egg. Our group was celebrating a birthday and they brought this cotton candy covered funfetti brownie with ice cream (I think). There were private event rooms upstairs and we got a peek at them when we went up to go to the bathroom and they were stunning!! How perfect it was all set up for a bridal luncheon. Will definitely recommend and will return if we come back to New Orleans. I need that bananas foster!! It is fine dining, so adjust expectations for the need to make a reservation, abide by a dress code, and amount of time it takes to have the meal and the cost. It all felt very worth it though. read more
Waits wild here! Hostess is a little rude and not so friendly. We came here for their desserts and it did not disappoint. Bread pudding with vanilla ice cream was so good! 4/5 $14 Snicker dessert was a 4.5/5 $14 So worth the wait! Place was so cute and cozy! Service was ok 3/5 I waited was weird, he tried to like upsale? Then made weird remarks. Then was super friendly! Super weird. All in all we enjoyed our desserts read more
I loved the decor of this place! I felt like I was in Europe - easy pace of ordering food. Beautiful decor - you feel like you are dining in palace de Versailles :) We went for breakfast and ordered the crab cake, Louisiana bbq oysters and the fried fish with collard greens and pouched eggs - topped it with banana fosters made in front of you - flame! The waiters were polite and kept filling up our water glasses - love the southern hospitality. Our food got a little delayed - we told them we had a tour appointment- they made sure everything was on high speed from then on. The entire menu looked amazing! We know that Brennan's is legendary in NOLA. This review is for Chef Carl Morgan's fried hand passed dish with the absolute best gastrique which I had the honor to eat at the Fried Chicken Festival yesterday. It was fantastic. Moist and full of flavor! People think fried chicken is easy. I tried so many of these dishes that I may start clucking. But this was the clear winner and everyone I spoke to agreed. My son and I made Sunday brunch reservations after seeing rave online reviews, and Brennan's did not disappoint. We were seated immediately upon arrival at a double-linen, eloquently organized, low-top table in the dining room, with views of the courtyard. I enjoyed the turtle soup as an appetizer and the perfectly prepared duck confit hash for my entree. My son was delighted with his gumbo soup and his medium-rare hanger steak with a sunny-side-up egg. They did not skimp on the alcohol in either our Brandy Milk Punch or Irish coffee. Of course, we had their world-famous Bananas Foster prepared table-side for our dessert. This was our second restaurant during our New Orleans vacation, and we used it to set the bar for what to expect from fabulous food and service. Doorman. Excellent service, and every single staff member greeted you when you walked by. Brilliant linens and silverware. They even had someone who scraped the breadcrumbs off the table between servings. Only a collared shirt is required for brunch. The price is consistent with the experience, food, and ambiance. I would highly recommend Brennan's for an upscale restaurant experience. read more
My brother had been talking up going here for brunch while we were still making plans to go to New Orleans. It seemed like an obvious touristy choice so I was a bit resistant thinking we'd just be paying a premium for food we could get at other places but I am glad I just went with the flow because he was right. Brennan's brunch is almost a must do if you have the time and get the chance to go. The food and setting are great and the staff are absolutely terrific. They offer slightly upscale versions of New Orleans fare that is reasonably priced. The Oysters J'aime were some of the best cooked oysters I've had. I was feeling a bit raw from the night before but the delicious and plentiful seafood gumbo and fresh squeezed pineapple, cantaloupe and basil juice and a little bit of their signature coffee I ordered really revived me for the day. Some of the samplings others in our party had were the Eggs Sardou, Creme Brûlée French toast, Shrimp and Grits, potatoes Brabant and thick cut bacon and everything looked and tasted amazing. The hair of the dog was easily found in some Bloody Maries and Irish Coffees for those who needed it and of course we finished things off with the best table-side Bananas Foster ever along with the full history thanks to our wonderful server Alfredo. As we ate I took note of the colorful, whimsical murals all over the dining room and we even had the manager stop by to ask us how everything was and our server gave my brother and his new fiancé a gift to celebrate their proposal as well. As we were leaving from such a pleasant brunch experience we went out to the courtyard which was now bathed in a midday glow to check out the fountain. I can only imagine how beautiful it would be to dine al fresco in that clearly historic place. Maybe next time when the morning sky doesn't open up. read more

Wow! This place lives up to its long standing reputation, and I can see why getting a reservation 60 days out is tough! The service was impeccable and the food absolutely delish. My husband's (duck hash, if I recall correctly) had me nearly wishing I had ordered that, even though my Benedict was also very good. Of course, we had to top it off with the fosters banana since it originated here. It was fun to watch our server make it table side - so simple, but so good! This was done of the best meals we had during our trip. That's saying a lot because we had a lot of good food! read more
Came here for a business dinner and all I wanted was the banana's foster. The dessert WS the star of the show but the meal was excellent. I started with a seafood gumbo and then had the shirt rib. An excellent meal. Oh and did I say the banana's foster was simply divine?!?! read more

Made a reservation for 10 on a Tuesday. We were early and promptly seated. All the staff was so friendly. My dad and I both got the shrimp and grits which he declared the best he's had. They have fresh cracked pepper they offer but no salt was on the table. My husband did not show up due to a meeting until my dad and I were through with our main course and they were fine with him still ordering. It did not feel like we were rushed. We also ordered the Bananas Foster. It was good but more of a "I can say I tried it" vs absolutely delicious and also pretty overpriced for what you get. read more

Brennan's made me feel so special for my birthday brunch! I booked lunch on a Thursday not realizing just how many birthday perks came with it. We arrived to find a decorated table with a sash waiting for me. Such a simple touch, but it instantly made me feel celebrated. I started off with a mimosa, followed by a lemon drop martini and both were perfect. We both had the gumbo, which was absolutely delicious. I wasn't a fan of my entrée (pretty sure I just ordered the wrong thing), but my partner's meal. the fried drum and eggs Benedict over creamed spinach was amazing. Just when I thought it couldn't get any better, they surprised me with a cotton candy dessert with ice cream and cake hidden underneath, plus a Brennan's apron as a keepsake! This experience was unforgettable, and I think I've just started a new birthday tradition. Next time, I'm heading straight for drinks at the Rooster Bar! read more
Every time I visit NOLA I make an effort to go to Brennan's for breakfast for obvious reasons. Impecible service, beautiful decor and stunningly delicious food. This year is special though. As their 80th anniversary the family is giving their guests the gift. A tasting menu comprised of their signature dishes shown in the photos each paired with a cocktail in tasting menu portions. Their greatest hits if you will. For $80 you can enjoy the best breakfast or brunch of your life in 2026. Practically perfect in every way. read more

The ambiance was beautiful, serve was very attentive and quick- we did have a reservation though! The food was a bit underwhelming considering how much I have heard about Brennan's. The crabs were already sold out and we were there at about 1 pm. The other items we got were great, but the grits were so disappointing. I personally not like the square fried block that it was presented in. Lastly, our bananas foster was a dud as it didn't catch flame at all. Overall, still glad I tried it while visiting the area, but would likely not go back. read more

I came here for one thing and one thing only: the banana's foster. And yes, what a phenomenal demonstration of the history behind the dessert, a live presentation of the bartender making it for us, and then finally savoring it. Yummy. The service was one of one. For vegetarians like me, it was good to come during the afternoon with fewer people around so you can get an exclusive presentation. Also, this allowed us just to grab a drink and the dessert without wondering what to eat for dinner (or even breakfast). This can't be found anywhere else except for here. And once you savor it, you can cherish the beautiful courtyard outside. read more
I am in love with the happy hour at Brennan's, "Bubbles at Brennan's." It's from 2-6 on weekdays and you can get full service at the bar or take your discounted drinks/foods to the lounge seats or courtyard. The courtyard is one of my favorite places in New Orleans. They have several discounted bottles of sparking wine, some discount drinks and snacks. It's a great way to unwind while in the French Quarter. This year, my visit coincided with Bananas Foster Day, so there was a celebration in the courtyard. It wasn't as relaxing but we added some free bananas foster to our happy hour wine and specialty banana cocktails. Several famous New Orleans personalities were there, it was a privilege to fall into this event! read more
A must do when in town. I've been to the brunch about a half dozen times over the years, and it's consistently great. This time, I had the blueberry ricotta pancakes. Though our table ended up adding an order "to share" so I wish I'd gotten something else. An interesting note-one friend couldn't decide between eggs hussarde and eggs Sardou, and the waitress let her do half and half. read more

I've been to Brennan's several times in the last 20 years, and this was my first visit with my family. I really wanted them to have a similar first-timer experience at this famous place - pretty sure they did not. We had a reservation on a Saturday morning. We waited 30 minutes. While the hosts were very nice, they didn't seem very organized. Service was super SLOW. Our server would take our order and disappear. Two drinks would arrive and the other two would be MIA for 10 minutes. By the time we were done with our meals, we were ready to leave (it had been soooo long), but we wanted to have the Bananas Foster, because we're at Brennan's! It took so long. The Bananas Foster carts have no room to navigate between tables so servers bump into people, a lot. Whatever. I'll tell you that it just wasn't as impressive as it was 20 years ago. The food was still good. But the experience as a whole, meh. read more

This was definitely a highlight of our most recent NOLA trip - a must for breakfast or brunch. It's a lovely place, beautifully appointed dining rooms, nice art, and altogether charming. The service was outstanding - excellent waitstaff (just the right amount of attentiveness) and also check-ins from the managers on duty. We enjoyed regular coffee, Irish coffee and honestly the best brandy milk lunch I've ever had. The Eggs Hussarde were amazing - a Brennan's specialty! Hubs enjoyed his eggs, bacon & biscuits as well. Of course we had to try their world famous Bananas Foster - fun table-side preparation (so much butter and brown sugar ) and insanely delicious! Look forward to returning! read more
How do you praise an icon? What hasn't already been said?! The food? Pure perfection. The service? Absolutely otherworldly. The ambiance? For the first time in 57 years, I was completely speechless. Brennan's isn't just a restaurant, it's a New Orleans staple. So I had to put on the wigs and the heels and the lashes and the eairh and take the train to the club. Planned to come here to grab the infamous Bananas foster for dessert but after reading the menu knew we had to try some apps and entrees. For a drink I tried the Victoria Falls- good but not the best drink I had during the trip. For apps we shared the crab green tomato remoulade and oyster j'aime. For mains the six of us split the spice crusted duck, soft shell crab, blackened red fish and sides of shells and cheese and mushrooms. Everything was amazing, I couldn't pick a favorite. Lastly we finally got to watch our Bananas foster flambé and also had the bread pudding. Service was spectacular, Brennans is a must visit during New Orleans. read more

What can I say besides WOW -- outstanding food and service! We ordered espresso martinis, duck hash, and the Benedict (prepared two ways). Of course we had to finish. our experience with the bananas foster. I highly recommend the hash, it's to die for! This spot is an absolute must. Be sure to book in advance to guarantee a table. read more
So cute and historical with a bit of whimsy! Definitely a little upscale with the service and food, I really enjoyed the 5 course breakfast meal, which comes with all the pictures attached. The cotton candy I'm not to sure comes with every experience because we were celebrating a birthday. But they made the banana fosters table side with a lovely story of how it came to be. I asked my brother what was good in New Orleans and he said that the most famous restaurant here was Brennan's, origin of the banana foster. The atmosphere is fancy, with waiters dressed in dress shirts and vests. The food is fancy, high end. The portions are relatively small but still filling. Everything is quite delicious. The cochon de lait was a lovely tender but crispy pork belly with an interesting addition of the pork ear and pickled peaches that added a little crisp and sourness. The warm spiced duck was tender and flavorful. The steak tartare cannoli was a fun experience with lots of great textures and flavor mix. The bananas foster was also quite excellent, with a little story told as they make it table side. The rum sauce is strong as well. Overall, can see why this restaurant is so famous! This is probably much more of a special occasion restaurant, but one worth the occasion. read more
We had dinner here our first night in town and had a lovely evening. The ambiance is a classic throwback with pastel decor. It's fancy, and they do have a dress code; no idea if it's enforced, but maybe don't show up in shorts and flip flops to be safe. I had a classic sazerac cocktail and it was excellent and definitely strong, so a great choice to sip slowly throughout dinner. We shared some appetizers including some of the sides which we turned into appetizers; the burrata, macaroni and cheese and cauliflower were all excellent. I had the redfish veronique for my entree and it was delicious. Who would have thought to put grapes with fish? It works! The fish was cooked perfectly. We all had the bananas foster for dessert. They flame it tableside and tell the story of how the dessert was invented which is a nice touch. It was an excellent sweet end to the meal. Food here was great. Honestly wish we came super hungry. Definitely a spot we'll have to come back to whenever we're in New Orleans. We had the Eggs Hussarde, New Orleans shrimp and grits, BBQ oysters, brûléed grapefruit, a biscuit, and the potatoes our server recommended. Everything was delicious! We were able to score some reservations the day before and so happy we went. I have to say, I liked everything we had from the softest buttery rolls, our drinks and our multiple desserts. We got the tasting menu which we thought was a great deal compared to California prices. I might've forgotten some things but we had oysters, lobster, a white fish with leaks which was my friend's favorite and the duck in a hazelnut crust which was my favorite. The tasting also came with a lemon tart dessert but of course we had to have the famous bananas foster which they make and light on fire right in front of you. Thank goodness for all the walking around because I needed it after this wonderful meal. read more
Amazing restaurant. The food and service were both outstanding. I did the chef's tasting menu and had the oysters, BBQ lobster, fish, duck, and Snickers dessert--every dish was delicious. It's definitely on the fancier side, making it a great spot for a nice dinner out. read more

Yes, I think this attire is fine. It's very summery feel. We went during breakfast and I think there were men dressed in shorts and T-shirts. Go for it!

Is there parking close by?
There is street parking and a couple blocks (maybe south) there was a lot (we walked past coming from the Royal Sonesta). I believe it was Charles Street and there's another in Jackson Square which is roughly a 7-10 minute walk.
For walk-ins, do you have to stay on-site waiting for a table to open up, or will they call/text you when it's your turn? Can you call ahead to get your name on a wait list?
I was seated right away in the bar area it was very nice. At the time I had to show proof of vaccination.

You should try and get a reservation there, but we had luck going there fir dessert. We walked in without a reservation and they sat us in the bar area. We had a great bartender (Marisa) who flambeed our Bananas Foster right by our seats!

We had it at brunch, when we were there.
Why are walk in not accepted in some days?
If they are fully booked with reservations, they don't want to waste your time. However you may be able to sit in the bar.
Do they offer a brunch menu every day? Or just on weekends?
Every day! Had the best birthday brunch there on Wednesday 2/26/20 at 1pm- day after Mardi Gras this year. It was amazing food and drinks and service!
Will the restaurant allow a dog that is in her pet carrier?? We would love to come here but the dog would need to be allowed in first.
My understanding of dogs in restaurants is ONLY if they are certified service animals. Best to call or seek out a restaurant that is openly pet friendly.
Is the banana foster available during breakfast, like at 8am?

Are reservations recommended?
Yes, usually two week in advance for the time you want. If you get there when they open you might be able to get a seat at the bar. They serve food there. It is well worth going to
Do they take walk ins? I've called several times and no one picks up the phone.
We walked in as soon as they opened and were able to sit at the bar within five minutes. All the tables are usually booked for about three weeks in advance. If you go at dinner time and expect to walk in forget it.
Do you have to have a reservation?
It's BEST to make a reservation (Open Table is a good one and you earn points)
Are kids/babies allowed to sit at the bar if we are just ordering bananas foster?
I would think not, but there is a small sitting section right next to it that’s very casual and it seemed like you could sit there if you needed.
Can I sit at the bar with my husband and kid, just so we can eat the bananas foster? or should we just get a table?
You can sit in the bar! I did with my son. I actually enjoyed the more intimate setting while watching our banana's forster being made. Enjoy!
