They offer plenty of options including 'build your combo' as well as full food and bar menu. I really liked what we got (crab legs, lobster tail, black mussels, headless shrimp, corn, sausage and potatoes). Our server Grace was really nice and helpful with menu. I liked that after bringing out boil bag she mixed it one last time and put it out on a plate, it made it so much easier to enjoy and not to worry about sauce getting on arms while trying to see/take out food. We came here for our first dinner in New Orleans. It was walking distance from our hotel and across from our conference at the Ritz Carlton. We got there around 7PM and there was a long line outside. Apparently this place became tik tok famous but honestly I have great seafood boil right around my house. I enjoyed myself but nothing wow'ed me. It was a classic boil. Behind the bar, Sandy mixed me a Summer Peach (Absolute Vodka, real peach, sweet tea, fresh lemon, $14) and provided the bib and gloves I likely would need if in fact I wanted to enjoy a crawfish boil. Of the dozens of restaurants I've visited in New Orleans, rare is the menu that includes a crawfish boil. Hot'n Cajun has it. I asked the barkeep Sandy B. if it was still crawfish season, and she assured me that it was. So I ordered 3 pounds of boiled crawfish (including potatoes and corn on the cob, $25.99), asked that the seasoning be "medium", and Sandy brought me a Model ($9) with a neat Maker's Mark ($12). The experience was pretty close to what I remember we'd find if invited to a neighbor's crawfish boil. Three pounds sounds like a lot, but the yield is more like half a pound, at most. Wonderful Cajun boil option in the FQ. Their hush puppies were perfect - traditional, cornmeal only balls of goodness that were the ideal complement to a spicy seafood boil. We came during peak crawfish season, so had to get a pound added to the crab and shrimp sampler boil. For around $120 we got a massive seafood boil consisting of king crab legs, shrimp, mussels, corn, potatoes, hard boiled eggs, andouille sausage... I mean there was so much food. I had to come here to check off seafood boil for the New Orleans eats bucket list. This is the main most popular spot for seafood boil in the French Quarter. I ate dinner here two times. Both times there was a 10-15 minute wait outside and then the service was pretty fast and friendly once you get seated. The inside is very casual and fast paced, but it's nice how they supply you with the gloves, bibs, and crabmeat pick too. First time here, we tried the premade combo with 1 lb of headless shrimp and snow crab and a separate custom combo of 1/2 lb of shrimp with sausage. Sadly, the combos we got only came with sausage and no potato or corn like the menu said. That was kinda disappointing. We ordered the house Cajun sauce at the hot spice level. While the sauce was pretty flavorful and a bit oily, I would've liked more of a spicy kick. The second time, we got the oysters and headless shrimp combo. The oysters were okay, not very flavorful or salty. Wouldn't really recommend oysters here. The combo was better this time because we got the promised potatoes, corn, and sausage for the make your own conbo. Also, we got it extra hot. We were looking for a spot to grab a late night dinner after the Pelicans game and found Hot N Cajun through Google Maps. My husband ordered half a pound of shrimp and a pound of crawfish with the typical boil ingredients (corn, sausage, potatoes) and I got a shrimp po'boy. The po'boy was excellent, definitely one of the better sandwiches we had over Easter weekend. Shrimp was perfectly battered and fried, bread was light/fluffy & toasted well, and the lettuce/tomato/remoulade were refreshing and delicious. Hot N Cajun was super generous with their portions; we definitely had more seafood in the boil than was ordered, and we couldn't finish the last few pieces in our bag. If you're a tourist staying in the French quarter area but want a good seafood boil, this is the place to go. Located on the corner of Iberville and Dauphine, is Hot N Cajun. Staff here is friendly, but our server wasn't as attentive as we wanted him to - it took us about 10 mins to put in our order, but likely because they had just opened and it was slow at first. They have baskets of fried food, po-boys, oysters, and platters of pre-set boils or you can you build your own. My cousin and I got the Dungy Dungeness to share, with add-ons of 1lb headless shrimp (comes with .5 lbs), 1lb green mussels, and 1lb king crab legs. We got the hot cajun blend in hot spice level and it was so good. The hot spice wasn't burning me, so I think we could've upped it to extra hot. Our platter was huge and we got stares, but we almost killed all of it - probably bringing home about a pound of shrimp and half a pound of the king crab legs lol. We also got a side of fried soft shell crab and I think it was sprinkled with paprika and came with a side of spicy mayo, but it was very good. I had to go all out since I don't get much of this at home! Looking forward to their opening in the West Bank and more. One quick note I will say that I learned from a local that I wish I knew before this feast (And you should double check with staff if this info is correct). This restaurant was a bit underwhelming for my first crawfish experience. After finding parking at the deck next to the restaurant, we walked in and were immediately seated. I struggled opened the first couple crawfish so when my friend tried one, that's when she said they were overcooked and should be easier to peel. I noticed this when I started cracking the crab legs and every piece would get stuck in the shell. Loved this seafood boil so much. We tried the big signature combination, and all the seafood tasted so fresh and was cooked well, especially the shrimp. The mussels also weren't fishy at all which can happen at other places. I also loved the buttery sauce which at some restaurants can feel overly buttery with not enough actual chunks of seasoning, but inside the mussels some of the seasoning stayed clumped up which made it even more delicious and flavorful.
