Wonderful Cajun boil option in the FQ. Their hush puppies were perfect - traditional, cornmeal only balls of goodness that were the ideal complement to a spicy seafood boil. We came during peak crawfish season, so had to get a pound added to the crab and shrimp sampler boil. We like spicy food and got medium spicy, which was yummy but we'd probably kick it up a notch next time. Friendly service, and one of the few FQ boil spots open on Easter Sunday.

I'm not proud of sounds I made while eating here. Or the mess I left behind. But this right here? This was fire! For around $120 we got a massive seafood boil consisting of king crab legs, shrimp, mussels, corn, potatoes, hard boiled eggs, andouille sausage... I mean there was so much food. This could've comfortably fed 5 ladies!!! So at that price point, I think it's very reasonable. I mean I'm talking KING CRAB yall. Not Prince krab, KING. The medium spicy was perfect too, not too much heat but just the right amount of flavor. Aside from that, we also got some Cajun fries, which were fire, the service was good, and the table had plenty of napkins for my messy ahh. I'd def recommend coming here to get you a lil southern boil.

Didn't have to wait too long to be seated and really enjoyed the ambiance. Classic no frills boil place which we loved. Our server was nice and made us feel welcome. Drinks 6.5/10: decent flavor can tell it was pre mixed drink. Food 9.5/10 (make your own): food was seasoned very well. Seafood was fresh and overall really enjoyed the boil bag.

A Maryland girl gets her blue crab fix in Louisiana. Yes, do the make your own combo. Yes, get 6 blue crabs and a pound of Alaskan king crab, dry Louisiana rub, medium spice. Thank me later.

I had to come here to check off seafood boil for the New Orleans eats bucket list. This is the main most popular spot for seafood boil in the French Quarter. I ate dinner here two times. Both times there was a 10-15 minute wait outside and then the service was pretty fast and friendly once you get seated. The inside is very casual and fast paced, but it's nice how they supply you with the gloves, bibs, and crabmeat pick too. First time here, we tried the premade combo with 1 lb of headless shrimp and snow crab and a separate custom combo of 1/2 lb of shrimp with sausage. Sadly, the combos we got only came with sausage and no potato or corn like the menu said. That was kinda disappointing. We ordered the house Cajun sauce at the hot spice level. While the sauce was pretty flavorful and a bit oily, I would've liked more of a spicy kick. The second time, we got the oysters and headless shrimp combo. The oysters were okay, not very flavorful or salty. Wouldn't really recommend oysters here. The combo was better this time because we got the promised potatoes, corn, and sausage for the make your own conbo. Also, we got it extra hot. Although we didn't think it was spicy, we just added Louisiana hot sauce for the right kick. I'd love if they offered spicier sauce options in the future though.

This restaurant was a bit underwhelming for my first crawfish experience. After finding parking at the deck next to the restaurant, we walked in and were immediately seated. Almost every table was full of people enjoying their seafood boils so my expectations were pretty high. Our waiter was helpful and checked on us often which was a plus. However the first red flag was that the water had a bit of an off taste. My fiance and I decided to split the Snow Crab Slam that came with 2 clusters of snow crab legs and 1/2 lb of shrimp and ordered an extra pound of crawfish, all with the mild house Cajun blend. The food took around 10 minutes to arrive so we were ready to dig in. I struggled opened the first couple crawfish so when my friend tried one, that's when she said they were overcooked and should be easier to peel. I noticed this when I started cracking the crab legs and every piece would get stuck in the shell. The best thing was definitely the shrimp due to the easy peel and being able to enjoy the sauce and flavoring. It was definitely worth the experience but I would try a different seafood boil place when I'm back in New Orleans.

We were looking for a spot to grab a late night dinner after the Pelicans game and found Hot N Cajun through Google Maps. My husband ordered half a pound of shrimp and a pound of crawfish with the typical boil ingredients (corn, sausage, potatoes) and I got a shrimp po'boy. The po'boy was excellent, definitely one of the better sandwiches we had over Easter weekend. Shrimp was perfectly battered and fried, bread was light/fluffy & toasted well, and the lettuce/tomato/remoulade were refreshing and delicious. Hot N Cajun was super generous with their portions; we definitely had more seafood in the boil than was ordered, and we couldn't finish the last few pieces in our bag. Flavors were great, service was attentive, and this is an excellent late night option in the French Quarter!

    Beignets

House flavor of the boil was amazing. We got medium and it had the perfect kick. The beignets were good. It did taste like a Chinese donut but with powdered sugar instead of granulated sugar. Sierra was a great server. Genuinely friendly and came around often enough. This will def be on our places to come back to when we're in town.

You can't come to New Orleans and not try seafood boil. This place is super close to bourbon street and right by our hotel. Their seafood price is fair and hasn't changed since April 2025. We built our own boil which is nice and I like that they include potatoes, corn, and sausage once you buy a pound of seafood. You don't see that in California lol. They also give you a metal plate to pour the contents out onto which makes it easy to share. They also have crab meat pickers if you get crab! We had the hush puppies to start, it comes with its own sauce but honestly dip it in the seafood boil sauce- YUM!

Finally get to try the really authentic boiled seafood. We got the shrimp saga and added a lb of crawfish. Medium spicy with heavy house Cajun seasoning, plate licking gooooood.

While in New Orleans my wife and I had Hot N Cajun on our must try list, and we both really enjoyed the seafood lobster boil. We ordered the meal with medium spice, but we could have done the hot. They were seasoned very good and very flavorful. The boil came with lots of shrimp, crab legs and lobster tail. The cook on the seafood was done perfectly. We also ordered the grilled oysters which were also very flavorful and good! It comes served with a garlic toast for dipping, which was incredible. Service is fast and the food came to the table in minutes.

Pretty decent and standard boil experience! Seasoning was tasty. About $80-90 with tax (excluding tip) for what we ordered if I remember correctly. Service was great, no reservation required since there's a lot of seating.

One of, if not the best seafood boil spot I've been to!! We waited in a line for a little while, and I can see why ;) Great and classic options- not too complicated, but not too simple either. Just what you'd expect for food and seasoning options! Wonderful flavor and super fresh/hot. Service was great- and my server also knew which options on the menu were gluten free (most of it was). Would absolutely return when I'm back in the area for classic and delicious seafood boil!!

But I was welcomed in to the bar with one open seat. The staff was very welcoming with a bit of sarcasm, which is probably something that I look forward to everywhere. I asked for recommendations, having looked at the menu and they handed me another special menu of the day stating obviously I hadn't read the whole thing yet. I started with the snapper appetizer and I have Tse with the coconut lime broth. It was absolutely delicious, followed by the crawfish capellini. I was surprised by the amount of crawfish in the dish and the chili flavor, which was absolutely delicious. I have been hearing about the hush puppies for a while so I had to try some, especially because my colleague raved about it at dinner the night before. Lastly, I had the baked drum which was delicious light and flaky. The flavors were incredible. I personally thought that the bread was a little overly grilled and chard, but overall the dishes still pretty good. I cannot say more about the dessert. It's absolutely one of the best desserts I've had in a long time. The sticky carrot cake toffee cake with cream cheese ice cream was just on the next level. I would try to come here if I was in the area every time.

As soon as they arrived, I picked one up and immediately thought, "Wow, this is incredibly light." Anyone who eats crabs regularly knows that's usually a bad sign. When I opened it, it was completely hollow inside--nothing but an empty shell. A crab that is hollow like that was dead before it was cooked. I never took a single bite. I showed it to our server, Remy B., who apologized and said she would let the manager know. She took the plate away, so I assumed the issue was being handled. When the bill arrived, I was still charged for the crabs. I asked to speak with a manager and explained exactly what happened. She confirmed that I had notified the server and that the plate had been taken away. Then she told me that it didn't matter because their policy is to not give refunds or remove food from a check. Let that sink in: they acknowledged that I didn't eat the food, acknowledged that the server removed it, and still charged me for it. A restaurant standing behind its food is the bare minimum. Charging customers for food that was clearly unacceptable and never eaten is ridiculous. The lack of concern from management was even more disappointing than the crab itself. The only reason this review isn't 1 star is because the young man at the host stand was friendly, professional, and the one bright spot of the entire experience.

I ordered the shrimp po' boy, which was around $22, and was surprised it didn't come with fries. Usually places either include them or at least mention that they're separate when ordering. We also started with the charbroiled oysters, and whatever topping or seasoning was on them had this weird crunchy, crackling texture that literally felt like it was cracking against my teeth when I bit into it. I don't know if it was burnt cheese or what, but I personally could not eat more than one. The service also wasn't great during our visit. After our food was dropped off, our waiter never checked back in. I had ordered fries separately once I realized they didn't come with the sandwich, but after waiting about 10 minutes with no update, I finally got up and walked to the bar to cancel them because I was almost done eating at that point.
