Whether I'm in the mood for a good cup of coffee or a cold beer, Brew is my favorite spot to hang out in downtown Santa Rosa. First of all, Brew is such a unique space. The interior is super colorful and there is always local art on the walls. The vibe is very accepting and laid-back and they even have a small selection of games. They serve Ritual coffee, which is top-notch. Now I don't have to drive all the way to SF for Ritual! Brew is my favorite place in Santa Rosa to grab a quality latte. Their espresso is smooth and the ginger cardamom latte is a delightful sweet option (flavorful, but not hyper-sweet like Starbucks). The only bummer is the high cost to upgrade to non-dairy milk (like every other coffee shop on the planet, unfortunately!!). If you're more in the mood for beer, they always have a nice beer selection. I've even had Pliney the Younger here (wait time: zero minutes!!). The food here is great as well. They have a great selection of toasts and the breakfast sandwich is scrumptious. And all of the staff are super friendly and always willing to help. Not only are the owners amazing, the food and atmosphere are, too. I've developed a terrible addiction to their waffle with spicy chicken tenders. I had been here once before quarantine, and stopped again for coffee and a bit of lunch today at the end of a bike ride. Very impressed with their process/set-up for COVID. Clear instructions posted on when/where to wear a mask (all times except when eating at your table). They place all food at a pick up window and you can take it and go to your outdoor table. Then they have a sign to put on your table after you're done to warn anyone from sitting there until they come by to clean it. On the food side- great iced almond milk latte, and I got gluten free avocado toast that they happily put smoked salmon on for me per my request. Nice friendly service too! read more

The new rainbow flag outdoor patio is so great! Spacious, Covid Safe, and there are big umbrellas for shade. The music is great and the Agua de Jamaica is so nice! Today I'm having it unsweetened. It tastes sour and cinnamony. With sugar it tastes nicely balanced. There is a really good double IPA from Henhouse on tap and the tater tots and avocado toasts are always perfect. I recommend this place for a full brunch, a small snack, or just drinks. You can stop in any time and find something craveable. Really loved visiting this spot on a Sunday morning!! There's ample indoor and outdoor seating. Staff is very friendly. I tried the iced latte with ginger cardamom syrup, and I really liked it! Reminded me of a dirty chai with less spice. Not too sweet. Our group also got the hot chocolate (which was super rich and lovely), the London fog (perfect for Earl Grey and lavender lovers), and a black coffee. For brunch we ordered the Sunshine Toast (option of putting it on a bagel or a toast), which has a flavorful avocado spread, micro greens, ricotta cheese, a hard boiled egg, and spinach. I really enjoyed this, especially on the everything bagel!! Next time will add some chili flakes for added heat. I tried a bite of my friend's salmon bagel, which was really tasty as well!! There's a nice variety of sandwiches and salads, a couple soups, - amazing selection of beer on tap for such a small place and some very delicious beers. I was just here for coffee and a couple hard boiled eggs -$5 total, not bad. This is some serious coffee. The con is there's only one size of cup (I like large) it's a medium sized cup and the flavors are very real. Check out the coffee menu - they describe fruit and other nuances you can taste in each of their coffees. This place is LEGIT - we're not talking about a bean pooped out of a monkey's ass. These are top notch priced from $3.50 to $3.75 and in my opinion substantially better than BadAss Coffee where it's $5/cup and too acidic. One of our coffee-loving friends recommended this place. We came here twice during our short trip to Sonoma during Labor Day weekend. The coffee here is a bit on the pricey side as it is an independent joint. I ordered an latte, the husband ordered a pour over, and we shared an avocado toast. The latte completely broke up hence the 4 stars instead of 5. My husband enjoyed his pour over and we also ordered a regular the next day we returned. The avocado toast was really good especially their bread. Honestly, I don't think there can be a bad avocado toast.
