Very nice place with lovely ambience. The service was wonderful. The lighting was great. Our server was wonderful. Artichoke dip was just OK. The drinks were good. The Japanese burger was delicious.

AMAZING FOOD!!!! We took full advantage of their happy hour and it did not disappoint. We were starving and ordered a bunch of dishes since they had numerous gluten-free options. My husband and I shared the Brazilian cheese bread and the crispy quinoa shishito peppers. I ate most of the sushi, while he ate the burger and fries. Service and ambiance were excellent. We can't wait to come back!

I came for a Japanese pop-up where they were serving amazing sushi and sake all while vinyl records were being spun in the background. Service was great given it was a holiday weekend. The ambiance and decor had that hidden gem feel with an upscale twist. I would definitely come back to try their regular menu as I heard it was quite delicious.

Cute spot to grab some fine eats! Creative drinks...I got the Terracotta Paloma...and great apps. We ordered chicken wings which were deliciously spicy, Yellowtail Crudo which was picante and fresh. For the main, I had this delicious salad with grilled shrimp and hearts of palm with green goddess dressing. It was light and fresh. So crisp and fun to eat. Service was attentive and speedy. Recommended.

It was my first time here, came in after a walk on the beach. They have late night happy hour 8pm-close Monday-Friday. I went with the Tropical Mule, I loved it. The service was great and fast. The ambience is really nice, I look forward to coming back to try more food and drinks.

Stopped by BrewCo Manhattan Beach for their lunch special and had a really nice experience overall. We ordered the chicken pot pie, roasted cauliflower, and the Smash Burger Americana with onion rings. The roasted cauliflower was hands down the best part of the meal. It was seasoned so well and honestly addictive. I could not get enough of it. The chicken pot pie came out piping hot and was really good, super comforting and flavorful. My only small wish is that it had pastry on the bottom too, since it would have soaked up all the juices. The burger was fine but nothing special. I think it could have used some lettuce and tomato to help tie everything together. The onion rings were solid. Service was good and it was not too crowded for lunch, which made it a relaxed and enjoyable place to sit and eat.

Their menu has so much variety: from pastas, to sandwiches and burgers, salads, sushi and even chicken pot pie. And honestly everything was delicious. Service was a little slow but that may have been because we were a larger group. The rigatoni alla vodka was also spicy which I wasn't expecting but was still really good.

Cozy little restaurant just off the pier in Manhattan Beach. Service was excellent, food came out promptly. Prices were a bit high, but probably about average for the area. Had the Tokyo Smashburger, which was delicious. Fries were so-so and the artichoke dip really just did not work for me. Overall a good experience, I'd return if I was in the area.

Good for happy hour ! $10 apps The artichoke dip was very spicy but it wasn't described as so on the menu. Spicy tuna roll was refreshing but not very spicy! Service was a little slow but still friendly. Cute inside!

Casual spot close to the beach with eclectic food offerings. Came here for dinner to celebrate a friend's birthday on a weeknight and made a reservation online in advance. The booth they sat us in for 6 was more on the cozy side, but it was a chill vibe and a nice ocean breeze coming in. I had the rotisserie chicken while my boyfriend had the Fuchs office burger. Both came with fries and were decently portioned. I was hungry but still had some leftovers. We ended the meal with a hit fudge sundae, and that is something that's easily shareable (it was so big!). Metered street parking on a steep incline was available.

What a fun, upscale bar in Manhattan Beach! We had the Chicken Chipotle Pasta, which was hearty, filling and quite loaded up. We also had the Japanese BBQ Burger with fries and a side salad. I was quite into the BBQ sauce and we wolfed it all down pretty quickly. The bartender was efficient and jovial, which we appreciated. We came in for a quick bite while exploring the city, so we can't speak to the drinks. Seems this place attracts locals as regulars, which says a lot to me. Restrooms are clean and tidy, but they are unisex so there may be a wait. Parking is available in nearby lots or on the street - don't forget to pay the meter.

I came here for Dine LA but because I was early, I couldnt get the dinner so I ordered other things from the menu. I got the spinach dip, lamb tacos, fries and a rose spritzer. First off, the appetizers and mains were a bit overpriced. The spinach dip was $18 and the (2) lamb tacos with mixed greens dressed only in a vinaigrette was $28. The rose spritzer was $8 and fries were $8. I spent $67 for these items. The lamb tacos had mostly fat pieces and was half full. The salad did not have any toppings just light dressing. The fries were a bit salty. All in all, a very pretty place and the ambiance was nice , staff were pleasant l, the bartender was friendly but the overpriced food was a downer.

Decided to try and share savory and sweet after asking the server what was popular. The server mentioned that they are known for their biscuits so we got the biscuit egg Benedict and she was definitely right because the biscuit as the base was amazing and the best part. The rest of the benedict were standard with the runny egg and prosciutto. We also got the peach french toast which was not too sweet as the walnuts and peaches pair well. The only thing is that the inside of the french toast was a little runny so it was slightly soggy. The location is convenient, right on the street and close to Manhattan Beach, so it felt like an easy spot to check out We ordered a bunch of different dishes to get a feel for the menu. Overall, the food was good, but I'm not totally convinced it matches the price point. The prawn was definitely a standout -- really delicious and probably my favorite of the dishes we tried. The cookie was a little on the dry side, though, and the steak was honestly underwhelming for a $120 price tag. The drinks were much more impressive: well-made, nicely balanced, and definitely on the sweeter side Service was definitely on point. They weren't constantly checking in, which I actually appreciated, but whenever we needed something, someone was there and very attentive. Everyone was also friendly and welcoming throughout the meal The ambiance leans more toward a bar-restaurant than traditional fine dining, but the interior has some classy design elements and definitely gives off that modern LA fine-dining feel I'd probably come back to try some of the other dishes before making a final judgment. There were definitely some highlights, and overall, I'd still say it's worth a visit if you're in the area -- just go in knowing the prices are on the higher side

The Bloody Marys used to be exceptional, accompanied by their delicious fried blue cheese-stuffed olives. This time, I had to ask for the blue cheese olives, and they were served separately and were very different than they were in the past. The asparagus fries were also disappointing and not nearly as good as they used to be. For our entrées, the Chilean sea bass was overcooked, and the mashed potatoes were so dense it was like eating plaster. Overall, the food simply did not meet the standard Nick's was once known for. What was most disappointing was the experience with my certified service animal. Despite dining with a service dog, no one offered a water bowl, and I was told that I could not feed her the plain burger patty I had ordered and paid full price for. The interaction felt unnecessary and unwelcoming. Unfortunately, this visit was nothing like the Nick's we used to love. It's disappointing to see such a decline in both food quality and hospitality from what was once a favorite destination.

My wife and I recently visited Los Angeles to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary and a major…read morebirthday milestone, and we were fortunate enough to discover Fishing With Dynamite. We had heard wonderful things about the restaurant, and after our experience, I can honestly say it exceeded every expectation. Because of our travel schedule, our only opportunity to visit was during lunch on the same day we had to catch a flight home across the country. From the moment we made our reservation to the moment we walked out the door, everything about our experience was exceptional. The restaurant itself is beautiful, with a wonderful corner location and a warm, inviting atmosphere. The service was terrific, and the food was outstanding. The four of us ordered a variety of dishes to share, and everything was incredibly fresh, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. Each dish felt thoughtfully prepared, and there was something special about being able to enjoy such a memorable meal together on an important day for our family. But what truly sets Fishing With Dynamite apart isn't just the food or the atmosphere -- it's the people. Every interaction we had with the staff was wonderful. From making the reservation, to our waitress who took such great care of us, to the servers who brought our food and drinks, everyone was friendly, attentive, welcoming, and genuinely seemed to care about making sure we had a great experience. And then something happened that took that feeling to an entirely different level. After we finished our meal, I accidentally left a small bag at the restaurant as we headed to the airport. I didn't realize it until we were already at LAX, sitting at the gate and preparing to board our flight home. My heart sank when I realized what had happened. The items inside -- AirPods, Beats headphones, an external battery pack, an expensive pair of sunglasses, and other things -- were replaceable, but a few of them were gifts and had sentimental value to me. Given that we were already at the airport, I had pretty much accepted that I would never see the bag again. My wife contacted Fishing With Dynamite, explained what had happened, and the staff immediately went to work trying to help. We were put back in touch with the waitress who had served us, and incredibly, she remembered us and was able to locate the bag. We offered to pay for shipping and for the inconvenience of someone having to take the package to the post office. Instead, later that day, the general manager reached out to us personally and assured us that they would be happy to ship everything back to us promptly -- and, even more incredibly, they wouldn't accept a penny from us for doing it. That gesture meant far more to me than simply getting my belongings back. In a world where customer service can sometimes feel transactional, the people at Fishing With Dynamite reminded me that there are still genuinely caring people who are willing to go out of their way to help someone simply because it's the right thing to do. We went to Fishing With Dynamite expecting a great lunch. We left with an incredible meal, wonderful memories from our anniversary trip, and an experience with a group of people that I will genuinely never forget. The food is fantastic. The restaurant is beautiful. The service is excellent. But most importantly, the people who work here truly care about their customers, and they proved it by going far beyond what anyone could reasonably expect.
