BrewDog Franklinton is a pretty cool place to hang out with friends for dinner and a drink. The rooftop patio is great for summer. They take reservations for the patio and it does fill up, so if you want a table up there, especially for a group, make sure to give them a call! BrewDog has a pretty solid vegetarian snack and dinner menu, which I really appreciate! Cauliflower wings, street corn, black bean tacos, fries, and not one, not two, but 3 different burger options! I made my own dinner from the black bean tacos, street corn, and fries. This is not exactly a "neat" dinner, but it was really good and there were plenty of napkins, so I was pleased. The corn is charred on the cob and has lots of cheese and mayo (I took some off) with great flavor. The tacos had 2 shells, and good filling. I also really appreciated that they have decent non-alcoholic options. Nice quality bottled lemonade and iced tea, and I also saw some Simple Times mixers in the bar fridge, so I'm sure they could do something fun with those for ya! I always really appreciate an option for the DD or anybody else who just isn't in the mood for a high octane beverage for any reason. There was also some non-alcoholic beer on the menu. They have a couple dozen beers on tap, and some in the can as well, so there is likely something for just about everybody. I didn't see a cocktail menu for this location, and while I didn't see a list, my friend had a glass of wine. They have an itty bitty parking lot out back, plus street parking and relatively easy access to a public garage that I don't remember having to pay for. BrewDog was a BLAST! I absolutely loved my experience here, even for a weekday night. First of all, the entire place has great vibes. The servers are extremely friendly & outgoing, and you'll feel right at home. However, that ROOFTOP though! If you go to BrewDog Franklinton, you need to hit up that rooftop, it is immaculate. The views of Cbus, the fireplace, the outdoor dining & bar... 10/10 experience. As for the drinks, you already know how good their beer is! On this particular day, we shared a bottle of red (which was equally good). The tacos though... AMAZING. They may be small, but the flavor is mighty! My friends and I had a great time on the rooftop of BrewDog! They are doing such a great job maintains COVID precautions, and they're not afraid to make sure that guests are wearing their masks anytime they're up from their table. I appreciated that so much and it made me feel very comfortable while there. The food was all delicious! My burger came out with the wrong kind of cheese, but they were happy to fix that for me. My friend ordered the chicken and waffles, which was spicy but good! Their fries were excellent and they had delicious aioli for dipping. Decent beers, fun atmosphere. They have a good bar menu, but I wasn't there to eat. My friend has an Elvis Juice IPA and I grabbed a flight of beers. I'm not much of a fan of IPAs, but the Elvis Juice was my favorite of the four beers I tried. It's not overly hoppy with a crisp citrus bite in the end that makes it light and satisfying. There are board games if you're down with that; I think there were literally 10 sets of Scrabble and a few other games to choose from. The service was friendly and attentive; we were there on a Thursday night and there was maybe a dozen other people there so it was a light crowd. For some ridiculous reason we didn't sit outside in the rooftop patio so I'll be sure to do that next time I visit! read more

I had been meaning to try this brewery for quite some time ever since I saw one of the owners at a talk at OSU about social enterprises. It was busy, but there were lots of open spots to lounge upstairs. It was cute! It looked like a cool patio at your friend's house. We sat on these bean bag type chairs which were pretty comfortable. A friend of mine told me that a lot of the drinks are IPAs. Not my thing. One of the friends I was with told me she likes stouts and suggested I order Jet Black Heart. Yum! I loved it! Glad I ordered it because I didn't like anyone else's drinks. I'm not a beer drinker anymore so it doesn't excite me much. A few friends did order Oktoberfest, which I did like although not as good as the one I had. You can bring your dog here. Our friend did and her dog enjoyed meeting other customers and the dog bowl which they filled with water. Service was great. They were nice and smiled a bit more than I would have thought. Even though it was busy, they weren't entirely slammed. There's a bar on each floor though. You can also play Jenga, that block game where you take out the blocks from the bottom without the tower falling over. They serve food here, but the reviews dissuaded me from even trying anything. The beer and food was ok. The burger was over cooked and part of my pretzel was hard so I didn't get to eat all of it :( The fries were good! I'm pretty sure I got overcharged for everything I got, but when I got the receipt I did not get the prices for everything I bought, just the total. I even asked the bartender to make sure I am getting happy hour prices. The place has a very good environment and I was able to enjoy the weather with outside seating. Alright, alright Brewdog Franklinton, way to go! I was excited to check out this new location, especially after seeing their awesome rooftop patio and I'm so glad I made it a point to check it out. I ended up walking over from the Columbus Arts Festival and despite the consistent rain, the place was poppin. My friend and I grabbed a drink (him a beer and me and gin and tonic) and wondered up stairs to check out the view. While of course they have tons of amazing beers to choose from, several of their own and some guests drafts as well, they also had some liquor drinks, which I really appreciated. I can't drink beer anymore these days (it makes me sick) so I was super happy to hear they had a handful of other options to choose from. Local options too! The patio upstairs was fantastic! I love that there was an additional bar up there so you don't have to worry about going up and down the stairs whenever you need a drink refill. They had tons of seating, tables, bars, and even a little fireplace to enjoy. While it may have been raining a bit, no one on the patio could care less. Everyone was having a good time, myself included. While the place was really busy, the staff was still friendly and attentive. It didn't take too long to get a drink or grab our tab once we were ready to head out. While I didn't eat during my visit, I know they have a menu of items to choose from. Just incase you get a case of the munchies. They have everything from burgers, salads, wings, and even cauliflower wings. Vegetarians like myself will go nuts over these things! I had heard a lot about this place while I was in town, so a group of us stopped in for lunch on a Sunday. The atmosphere of the place is very cool. Industrial and new kind of vibe. The bottom has tables and a bar and upstairs has a bar made out of a shipping container. Seating and nice views upstairs. For a bar, I would probably rate this higher. However we sat down and ordered food so that's what I'm basing this review off of: Our waiter was pleasant. He kept refilling our water jug which was much appreciated. He was pretty on top of it. We started out with an appetizer of cauliflower wings. They were BOMB. Hot and as someone who isn't a huge fan of cauliflower, I loved the flavor. Definitely the highlight of the meal. As for the entrees, they were pretty average. Not horrible by any means but nothing jumped out. Identity crisis: a burger with pulled pork, tortilla chips, chipotle cream, avocado cream, and an egg. I couldn't taste much beyond the beef and avocado with this one. I was expecting some good flavor but it was pretty basic. I definitely wouldn't order this again. Fries were decent. Pretty crispy and not too thick Plain cheeseburger: average plain burger. Fries were crisp. Two small patties come with each burger which adds a little dimension to it. Sweet potato burger: not bad for a veggie option. Decent. Huge size though, she was unable to finish it. Chorizo and egg toast: okay flavor but not a huge plate. We know it's toast but for 10 bucks it seemed a little lacking. Again, the atmosphere is great. we received good service. I would definitely just treat this as a bar as opposed to somewhere to eat. Welcome to the neighborhood! I was so excited to check this place out! My fiance and I went last Monday evening. We arrived at 5:30pm and went up to the rooftop patio. It was mostly empty except for a handful of people and a couple of well-behaved doggos. We grabbed a couple of drinks from the bartender who was super friendly and helpful. I tried the Becky which is a blueberry cider they had on draft. It was a lovely refreshing summer drink. I was also pleased to see that they have wine and liquor as well since I don't do gluten. It's nice to have options for people who don't drink beer. By probably 6pm, the patio was bumping. It got really busy but the service remained on point. We ordered some food and didn't have to wait too long. I got a salad with chicken thighs added to it and my fiance had a burger. The food was just okay. It was expensive for what it was and they didn't have a lot to offer on the menu. The food is what keeps me from giving this a five star review but if you're just looking for somewhere to grab drinks, this place is top notch! I loved how big the rooftop patio is and they also have a very spacious patio on the ground level. This place is just huge and has a really cool industrial vibe. I love that they allow dogs and plan to bring mine sometime in the future. They also had some board games on site. This was a really nice touch. My fiance and I ended up enjoying a game of Scrabble along with a game of Guess Who and we had such a fun night. It was a great date spot. There were a lot of kids running around which was surprising to me since this is a brewery joint so I guess it is family-friendly as well as dog-friendly. BrewDog opened this new pub in Franklinton. It has all the same very great beers. The location is just a little more intimate. It gets pretty crowded on the ground floor. Thankfully it also has a rooftop. If you've been to the Canal Winchester Brewery you're familiar with their beers. Each one is also available at this location. The most popular is the Punk IPA, which is about $5.50 for a pint. Others include the Elvis Juice. The ground floor and the rooftop each have a bar, which helps with the wait. Comparing the two of them, the rooftop is the better. The noise isn't bouncing off the ceiling and walls. It's also more fresh air. They also have complimentary sunscreen. It's my favorite of the Columbus locations. It's located conveniently from several other bars and breweries. This is another good stop when you're looking around Franklinton. read more

If you want to go just for drinks I'd say this is a good place to go but I would not recommend the food. For the price you pay and quality you receive it's not worth it. I didn't realize you needed reservations we happened to go early on a Friday but it was busy so were immediately asked if we had reservations. I checked online beforehand, but it seemed like their reservation system was for specific days when they have specials going on like Veggie Monday, Wings Wednesday, or Trivia. So my bad for not understanding that part but it was a bit unclear for me. They said it was fine and most of the high tops by the bar were bar service so we could sit at those and just order from the bar. Service at the bar was a bit slow since they were busy. For the seating at the high tops - the tables were sticky and none of the condiments, utensils, or napkins were refilled or stocked at the table. Basically just empty ketchup and hot sauce bottles. For food we ordered the giant beer pretzel and tacos - chicken, cauliflower, and brisket. I was feeling hopeful about the food but it is definitely not worth it at all. Almost $6 for each taco (it is 1 per order). The taco had a flour tortilla with a fried one. The fried ones were very oily and didn't contribute to the flavor or give any "crunch" if they were supposed to. The protein portions of the tacos were bland and didn't have a lot of flavor. The fried chicken was just fried chicken no flavor. The brisket taco was cold and disappointing. I don't know what is considered salsa to them but it seemed like they just threw a few pieces of tomato and pineapple to call it a day. The pretzel was fine nothing special - the honey mustard was really sweet in flavor to me but with the cheese it balanced out fine. All things considered - there are better places for tacos. Met up with my sister for lunch here on her recommendation when I was in Columbus for the day. At first we thought they were closed, as the regular entrance doors were locked, but the giant garage door/walls were open so we walked on in. They have a typical pub menu of burgers and wings, but they also offer some healthier options and vegetarian fare. I got the Buffalo Chicken Fries, and they were delicious. I was served lightly crispy fries topped with chunks of tender chicken in a buffalo sauce (no heat but good flavor) and drizzled with a blue cheese sauce... yum! Unfortunately, being the middle of a work day, we didn't get to sample any beers. I ordered an iced tea (It's served in a bottle.) and I also appreciated the carafe of water that was served to the table. Our server was very friendly and checked on us several times. Very good craft brewery near Columbus, Ohio. I went in for tasters and a snack to relax in the afternoon. The customer service was great and the bartender paid good attention to us. In lieu of refills, paying customers receive a carafe of water. Beer selection is very good, but I have trouble finding one particular drink in UnTapped. The street corn was a good item with lots of sauce and right texture for crunch. I may return if I am in Columbus. As others mentioned, there is limited parking and Lyft/Uber may be a better option to go there. read more

Rented out a table on a busy Saturday for my husbands birthday and we had a great time! The table was ready when we got there and since there was no one at the hostess desk when we got there we just sat down since we saw our name. Unfortunately there were old drinks and trash from a standing group that had been using our table before we got there but otherwise the service was great so I'm hesitant to complain too much. We were in one of the booths by the restrooms which was roomy enough for 6 of us. You do have to go to the bar to order as you won't get a server at these but if you order food they do still bring it to you. It kills me...kills me...to give a less than average review for a place I desperately wanted to love, but here goes. And they make beer, too. Shocking that I would have anything critical to say. In addition, I acknowledge we are coming out of a global pandemic, and slack must be given. Even with these caveats, yikes. We went on a Monday night to celebrate a family event. Had a reservation, Seated promptly at a reserved table and served water/first round of drinks pretty quickly and our food order was taken. So far, so good. And by the way, super friendly staff. But, again, short staffing during this tough labor market may have resulted in what came next. After finishing our waters and beers, we waited about 45 minutes to be asked if we wanted more to drink. We did. They were out of two of our four selections. No worries. Ordered what was in stock. Food arrived after about an hour and ten minutes. Two of the four meals were wrong. We ate them, as we were concerned the time involved to get them fixed would have taken until their posted closing time. Food was decent, but again, the wait and wrongness of the order were pretty disappointing. For three drinkers and a non-alcohol drinker, our tab for burgers, fries, and two rounds was over a hundred bucks. And it took a long time and was 50% wrong on the food side. We still tipped well because servers are the bedrock of our civilization, but sadly, I doubt we will ever go to this place again. Great beer, but you may want to get it to go. I came here with a friend around 7 pm on a Monday evening. It was overall an okay experience and I'm not quite sure this would be the first place I would recommend to someone looking to visit a brewery. The two main areas that brought down my overall impression was the food and the flies in the bar area. We saw a bunch of flies flying around while we were there. In terms of beer, I had a jet black heart and it was pretty good. I would recommend the beer if you're interested in stouts. I also had the opportunity to sample the Aloha, which is also a stout, but I found it hard to find the roast coconut flavor as it was pretty hidden by the bitterness of the stout. For food, I ordered an appetizer of loaded fries. The fries looked great and were super photogenic, but they tasted like they had been left in the fryer for a bit too long. There was just a lot of crunch and didn't leave you feeling like you wanted to reach for more. Towards the end of our visit, there was some trivia going on and there were some larger groups that came in for that. Really enjoyed my experience at BrewDog! We went on a weekend and were able to get a seat on the rooftop. Next time I think I will reserve a table to ensure we got a seat! Many of the tables were marked as reserved. I'm glad we were able to get a seat in the shade as it was a 90 degree day! I started out with a beer flight. Priced at $3-4 dollars per beer, it's a pretty reasonable price when you are interested in trying out multiple beers. I got a raspberry sour beer, Elvis juice, peach cider, and a daiquiri sour. All were good but my favorite was the peach cider! For my meal, I got the sweet potato burger. It comes with a turmeric sauce, Swiss cheese, kale, and onion. It was pretty good, but not my personal favorite. A lot of sweet flavors and I was not a fan of the turmeric sauce. The fries was crispy and seasoned with salt and pepper. Overall, I really enjoyed sitting outside and enjoying the view of the city on a nice summer day. The prices here are on the slightly more expensive side, but I'd say it's worth it. Great place close to meet up with friends after work for a beer and bar food! Went in on Friday 10/11 around 5pm, still plenty of seats inside - most of the tables outside were reserved. Since it was Burgers and Beer week in Columbus, I ordered the burger and have no complaints! We had a party 10-12 people in two adjacent booths with three small children. Waiter was great! The parking situation is not the best but definitely a must-try place in the area if you like craft beer. read more

I've been coming here for some time now. Upstairs, downstairs, solo, in large groups, soberly planned and/or drunkenly executed. Let's ignore the beer. They're big and popular, they have multiple locations, so the beer is at *least* decent, with a little something for about everyone. The food - well, at this location I have only ever ordered the cauliflower wings for whatever reason. They just do them well, here! The service has been incredible, upstairs or downstairs. They get crazy busy and still manage to sling drinks well. All-in-all, BrewDog (Franklinton) continues to be a good place to grab a drink and a bite. read more

PROS: -Giant pretzel is amazery. 100% great pretzel, 100% amazing cheese. Less-fond of their aioli sauce (I'd get two pretzel cheeses next time). Tablemate also loved their Hot dog. Plus, the french fries. I wasn't too fond of the peppering on the fries, but he was in love. -Volume is perfect for talking and communicating with other people at your table. No over-powering music, tables have decent spacing around them for privacy/easier hearing. -The amount of detail that's gone into the decor here is astounding. Empty BrewDog cans hold excess silverware at tables. Jars of hops decorate shelves next to books about craft brewing. A large neon sign lights the matching wooden tables and chairs. Beautifully lit and spaced block lettering on the giant bar billboard. It's really a very, very cohesive design, and it makes me really excited to see the larger BrewDog brewery in Columbus. If this is their smaller one, I can't imagine what the larger one looks like. -Not only that, but it's just such a perfect space for them. Large manufacturing garage doors to open up into their outdoor patio. A central bar and bar seating area. Satellite indoor booths for their restaurant patrons. A decently-sized area for to-go beer sales and merchandise sales. And it all is decorated in this beautiful, airy, natural-light industrial design. It's honestly amazing. This place is beautiful. -There is a parking lot *right* behind the building. However, it was pretty full and we just lucked into a spot as someone was leaving. Unsure where a lot of the parking is in this area, but you'll either end up in the private lot or probably somewhere nearby. -The two beers I had were delicious and exactly as described. I love that they serve their own drafts as well as some guest drafts too. CONS: -My only large complaint would be that there were too many IPAs on draft at the moment. For someone who doesn't like IPAs, it was hard to choose around them. But it's Spring time and IPA-season, so that's life. -Bathrooms are a little small and are definitely interesting. It seems to be two single stalls for each gender identification - and then two shared sinks in the hallway that the four restrooms share. I'm a huge fan of their second floor outside patio. It's beautiful, overlooks Land Grant and other bars on the same street, and is great for chill weekend afternoon drinks. Surprisingly not too busy sometimes during the weekend, so easy to get seats up there. One time we went, they even had live musicians who were pretty good. I also enjoy the variety of beers they serve, and the sweet potato fries are tradition every time I come here. The fried chicken sandwich (thigh!) is indulgent but totally worth it. We picked Brew Dog as a meet up place at about 4pm on a Monday. Chosen especially because they are dog friendly. Very nice place. Patio was clean, large picnic tables but needed larger umbrellas for shade. Service was just so-so for as empty as the restaurant was at that time. Pretty warm outside and water and ice seemed to be a scarce commodity. One lukewarm pitcher and cups brought, but no ice. Beer was tasty, but not very cold from the start, a cold glass would have done wonders. Food was ok. Hubby liked his wings. Grandson's chicken sandwich looked good and was big enough to share. Brussel sprouts were rather tough. All in all, with all the choices in the area, I don't think we will be back. read more

The atmosphere in here is good but more TV's around the bar would be good to watch sporting events while sipping a cold one. The food we ordered was delicious! Would recommend an Uber or Lyft to get here as it is a little bit of stretch for walking distance from a hotel. Service was excellent as well. read more
