Stopped here on our way up to Tahoe to get some work done on a Friday. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming, and made us feel at home! The WiFi is great and there's plenty of space to get work done. I ordered the BAM and a cinnamon roll, and both were extremely tasty! I'd recommend this spot to anyone passing through. Love this place! Was passing through town on our way up to Bishop and passed this place while trying to find a gas station in Big Pine. Turned around due to the clever sign (they serve sarcasm, tell you to go ahead and lick the spoon, etc.) and it was totally worth it. Excellent stop if you're trying to avoid the crazy bustle of coffee shops in Bishop. This cute little coffee shop had a steady clientele but was pretty quiet. They have donuts, breakfast foods, salads, and burgers, not to mention coffee and tea. They accept cash or card. They have WiFi and clean bathrooms too. The staff are friendly and helpful. I stopped here with my infant so I could study and grab a bite. It was perfect and I was glad I didn't have to drive all the way to Bishop just to sit in an overcrowded coffee shop. Staff or owners are not only rude but liars!! I couldn't reply but you need to turn up the volume on those recordings because you're not about to tell me I'm lying about something as simple as greeting staff at a business. I DID say hi when they greeted me and I didn't think I needed to ask permission to use the bathroom if it is open? Again it's a business not someone's house. And there is no excuse to be rude to me because you viewed it rude that I didn't ask to use the restroom. Again I said in my review I understand the door should be close but I was in a. Wait was unbearable. We came in on our way home from mammoth and were the only customers. We ordered a waffle, French toast and coffees. We got our coffees then a few other customers came and ordered then got their food within 10 minutes. Apparently some had called in their orders but they didn't all do so and they all still received their food before us. It was at least 20 minutes wait with no one else in there and the woman behind the counter was on her phone the entire time. I eventually asked after our order and she said the cook had 6 breakfast burritos to do before our order and it would another 5 minutes in addition to the already excessive time we had been waiting. She could have offered us a coffee refill for the inconvenience or feigned sympathy but she just returned to her phone and didn't glance up when after 30 mins we left without our food. read more

My husband and I went to brewed awakening yesterday for breakfast. When we went in, we were greeted and took about 5-10 minutes for them to take our order. It seemed like they were understaffed, and it turned out that they were, which is completely understandable. After we had our order taken, it took about 20 minutes to come out as they had a large group of people come in and again, seemed understaffed. The main problem with our visit was the food. I ordered a pesto and turkey panini and my husband ordered the loaded bagel and crunch wrap. The panini was very underwhelming, it was basically two pieces of very hard toasted bread with cold turkey and cheese inside. It was very bland and dry and could have used more pesto or some sort of sauce. I also wish that the sandwich was warm and that the cheese was melted. The crunch wrap was very greasy, but it did come out hot. Overall, not a good experience with food but could just be because they were understaffed. read more

Conveniently located on 395 before the Bishop and Mammoth coffee shops to get a little caffeine fix for that final stretch up the mountains or as you proceed your drive to your final destination. Stopped in for a donut and ice coffee on our way up to the North Fork trail (don't judge the second "breakfast" - we left LA at 4am). It wasn't too busy around 9.00am and the woman behind the counter was super friendly. We hung out and chatted with some locals then decided to take a breakfast burrito to go up tthe trailhead. It was huge, DELICIOUS, and great to share! The shop is comfortable and has some cozy chairs and a wood stove which would be awesome in the fall or winter. The bathroom was clean as well. We'll definitely stop in here again next time we come through Big Pine! read more
