Super SUPER nice service!!!! A few weeks ago, my boyfriend and I stopped by for dinner on a Saturday night later in the evening. That's always hit or miss in town, since we aren't trying to close places down- but we just don't feel like cooking and were busy trying to get things done around the house until late. We were welcomed very nicely, and seated promptly. They offered us our choice of booth, bar area, or chairs too. Our server was absolutely delightful too! She was so pleasant, very attentive without being obtrusive, and good about answering questions. I really appreciated her kind attitude. Our appetizer was delicious- we got the steak bits. Highly recommended. The sauce is to die for! My boyfriend got a burger that was cooked to his liking, and I had the turkado sandwich which was just excellent- fresh avocado too! We never felt rushed out of the establishment, in spite of knowing it was kind of late, and always felt like they were happy to have us there. Really glad we happened by that evening! read more

While I normally like Brewsters, this past weekend I had a REALLY bad experience with the waitress there. She was evidently also the bartender. She started off really good, and while it was late in the evening, it was a good meal and service...then at 10:30 that all changed. We had saved our appetizer to nibble on while chatting. At that time, suddenly, our appetizer went away...without asking us if we were done. That unceremoniously told us to leave. This after spending 100 dollars including tip! She waited till after she got the tip to do this...nice work. The food is wonderful...normally service is too. This was just a really bad experience. read more

Just arrived in Fairbanks, Inn recommended Brewster's. Good call. Server Athon was timely with beers, and the burger selected, was bigger than expected. I choose the pepper jam burger, wow, most likely will have that one more time while I'm here. Good beer selection, good service at a pretty fair price. I see why the place fills up. read more

We were looking in Yelp for a good burger joint and decided to try here on our way to the airport. We were pleasantly surprised. My husband had the bacon cheeseburger and he rated it a 9. I chose the ribeye dinner with mashed potatoes. My steak was cooked to my specifications which actually happens rarely (pun intended), however the potatoes were tasteless. I requested to change out for the waffle fries instead. Great choice! They were delicious!! Harley was an amazing server, only there 4 months he said. Overall this place was pretty solid. Went on a Saturday night and the place was pretty calm. Servers were nice. I got the jalapeño burger with the chipotle mayo and it was a solid 8.5/10.. I love spicy food. Atmosphere was fine, music was perfect volume. My only gripe is the serving size wasn't big enough. One of my favorite places- I almost always have a good waitress and good food. The only reason they didn't get 5 stars is bc their football showing needs some Work- this is a bar and grill type place therefore the sports should be a much higher priority. I have been a customer atBrewsters in Fairbanks for many years. Many of my friends go with me and frequently they don't tip the girl. I recently learned that the waitress has to pay the bartender a tip of 10% whether she got a tip or not from me. I am told that this decision to charge the waitress comes from the manager. I have never heard of a rule like this here in Fairbanks. I don't want to drink anymore at Brewsters! read more

We have dined at Brewster's many times in the last few years the service and the food has always been good. However tonight it was a disaster. We ordered steak and shrimp with a first course of one salad for my woman and soup for myself. The salad came relatively quickly. Fifteen minuets later I had to ask the waitress where my soup was hiding. Upon finishing the very late first course. The main meal came the steak was there minus the shrimp. This was pointed out to the waitress and ten minutes later the shrimp arrived. The whole experience soured the meal and the evening. My advice to the management would be, if the cook is off his medication make sure he takes it. If he is on his medication don't let him take it while he's working. read more

This place is NOT closed and I don't know why people think it is. It's an amazing place to eat, always reliable food. Very good, amazing election with their menu, and fresh beer on tap is a plus. The bathrooms were seriously the cleanest I've seen in Fairbanks, looks like they take pride in their work. I always end up back at Airport Way Brewsters when I'm indecisive on where to eat. I typically order a Jalapeño burger with waffle fries, however as of late I have started branching out, and I must say the jumbo stuffed spicy shrimp is AMAZING. This is a good place to eat, If your in the mood for a good burger and don't want to make it yourself, well this is one of the better places in Fairbanks. I have been here many times after church. Its one of those places that you and your friends can enjoy each other and food. So far there is only one burger place that I have given 5 stars, and well it might be the only place. I usually prefer to make my own burgers, cause I can, and cause they usually have that taste that I am looking for. We had a very nice gentlemen as our waiter today. (Airport way location)He was friendly and attended to our needs. Unfortunately it took almost 30 min for our food to come out (2 burgers and a kids chicken strips) Burgers were dry and for $8 we got 2 chicken strips. Which was only $3 less then my burger. Been here twice and so far have had good experiences both times. Big 22oz beers were not bad, price is decent. Think I spent $7 for some HooDoo. Good food, good variety and very nice staff. Also open late :-) The waffle fries are great. My husband had the French dip and was impressed (he's hard to impress). Brewster's is a great place to visit if you're looking for a nice selection of hamburgers to choose from. I've also tried the Halibut tacos and would definitely recommend them to others! I agree with Elisa H. This is one of the best restaurants in Fairbanks, for the money. I've had their burgers and fish and chips and they are first rate. Friends had salads and they were great, too. The Clam chowder is excellent. It has a full bar too. What I liked is that you can get an excellent meal at lower to mid cost mainland prices. The quality of the food is all excellent. We are planning a third trip to Fairbanks this fall and will definitely eat there again. read more

We started with the cajun shrimp and they were my favorite part. Cajun spiced little shrimp that disappear quickly. Loved them. Burgers are good. I got the jalapeño burger and wasn't crazy about something on the burger. I'm not sure if it was a spice or what. And it wasn't as hot as I thought it was going to be. But it was a decent sized burger and the steak fries are awesome. My partner got the Brewster burger and really enjoyed it. We ended with a sundae and I thought they were going to have to roll me out of there. We'll be back for more burgers. read more
