Pam was my bartender/server she's awesome incredibly attentive and gave great recommendations. I decided to go with the crab stuffed mushrooms which honestly were pretty good. It's served with a slice of paprika dashed lemon which I completely recommend putting on the mushrooms it brings out the best flavor! It's also served with a few slices of their garlic bread. Honestly it's great if you add them all together not gonna lie the garlic bread seemed a little over cooked it was more like a crouton but still very good. All of the staff are super nice! I'm glad I stopped in. I will be back. I have heard good things about their seafood but everything is market price so you definitely need to ask before you order. But I think next time I will see what their seafood prices are like! [[HIGHLIGHT]]This place is very homie down to earth they have some awesome stuff on display as decor.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] But if only ordering the mushroom appetizer makes me want to come back I would say just try it!!!

Had the steak sandwich with my sweetheart. Was excellent!!!

A great selection of good food options. Prime Rib Friday night special was both tasty and a good value. Daughter loved the chicken dijon dinner. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Service was friendly and the atmosphere fun.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We were staying close by and thought the place was a liquor store. Hidden gem of a wide selection of gluten free food options.

Halibut app and crab stuffed app were both great. Our server was amazing, so helpful and perfectly attentive without being bothersome. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere is fun and casual with lots of sports memorabilia and old historic feel.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] When power was out they were still open!

Ivory jacks is a little off the beaten path but I find that is what makes it special. Immediately after walking in I was impressed with all the Alaskan decorations. I felt like I was taken back in time but in a good way. However I experienced subpar customer service our waitress seemed very upset throughout the service. The bar has a lot of Alaskan beers on tap that they rotate regularly. I started with the party wings which only come in one flavor Buffalo however you can choose the spicy level on a scale 1-10. I got a 5 and it was a little much for me to handle. I then got the ivory burger which is just your traditional burger on a toasted bun it was great. I recommend coming here for the experience not necessarily the food. Next time I come back it will be on a Friday or Saturday night(after 5) to try there specials.

This is a very casual restaurant in/near Fairbanks. There are not many other sit down opens that are open for lunch, so we tried this spot out twice during our trip to Alaska. Both times the food was good, made as ordered. The drinks were good as well. We did carry out once and dine in once. The staff was friendly and the mood was light. I'd liken it to a sports bar. There are many tvs with games on, a full bar, and even a liquor store connect to it.

Still giving this place 5 stars. Just want to mention, in the past week I've been charged $5.50, $7.50 and $9.50 all for the same item each time. A cup of soup and cup of coffee, is there price difference in soup?

This place is a great laid back place. I ordered french onion soup. It was very good. Served hot traditionally. Very savory with stringy melted cheese. In addition, I Ordered the 10 inch All American Pizza. It is probably the best pizza outside of Chicago! Loved it. I will go back for more pizza!

Friday prime rib special and king crab order. (We ordered king crab by itself not as a side.)

Was visiting Fairbanks and I decided to try this place. Local bar/dinner. Middle of nowhere seemed like. Inside is huge. You have the bar.. Tvs for sports and bunch of tables for table side service. When you walk in, the sign says seat yourself. We found a seat in a corner. It was about 530pm and already tables were filling up. We went because I saw that they had a Friday night special- Prime rib. Friend had the prime rib and I ordered the king crab. Plenty of food for 2. Would've been better with 3. Or maybe we should've just ordered the prime rib with king crab as a side order not a meal. Over stuffed ourselves. Prime rib: nothing fancy. Like home made. Was good. King crab: fresh. 1.5lbs. Well worth it. Service is on the slow side. It was packed. Friday night and people are just more relaxed in AK. Bill came out to about 80smthing. (We also had an AK beer.) What is it about baked potatoes in Alaska? I'm not a big potato person but they were just yummy!

When we arrived, we found out that you'd need a reservation to dine in the main dining hall, so we ended up going to the Saloon side where we had to find our own seats. We sat near the pool table, and the chairs were super unstable. The staff were fine but clearly seemed busy and understaffed. It took a long time for them to bring us water and take our order. I tried flagging the waitress 2-3 times when she was passing by and felt very ignored especially as I've made eye contact with her a few times. We ended up ordering the fried seafood combo and the seafood chowder, and it ended up taking at least 20min to come out (even the soup). The dishes were all very salty and definitely needed a lot of water to go with the food. Overall, definitely not a place to go before a flight since you might not be able to get in and out very quickly, and the food was really just alright for the price. Perhaps the main dining room experience would be better but I still wouldn't recommend it given the food quality and service.

If he tries this crap again, I will keep on editing this until the end of time. Because he took $208 from me and gave me $.13 in product. I asked that man at the grill to cook me a piece of fish medium rare. He told me he would not. Matter of fact, I went down to the prime rib area where they were cutting off a piece of medium and I asked for medium rare. He tried cutting it off the same spot. I said that's not medium rare he said it was I said fine knowing well I was going to write this review. Now you wanna play the game if you respond to me and I respond you you go right ahead and we'll do this for the rest of time. But you don't ever wanna walk into this place and spend your money on this crap. The Alaska Salmon Bake in Fairbanks comes with a reputation that the food unfortunately cannot support. Both the salmon and the cod were cooked far past any reasonable standard -- reduced to a dry, flaking consistency closer to fudge than fresh fish, with none of the moisture, fat, or flavor that world-class Alaskan seafood deserves. When I requested that my salmon be prepared medium rare -- the correct preparation for fish of this quality -- I was flatly refused. This is a liability shield masquerading as a culinary policy. Alaska runs some of the finest wild salmon on earth through these waters, and to reduce it to the same overcooked fate you'd find at a casino buffet is nothing short of malpractice. Properly prepared salmon should be translucent and silky at the center, the fat still doing its work, with a clean sear on the outside. What was served bore no resemblance to that standard. Holland America books this excursion as a signature Alaskan experience. Travelers deserve to know that the fish -- the entire point of the meal -- is cooked without skill or care, and no accommodation is made for guests who know how it should be eaten. Skip this and find a Fairbanks restaurant willing to treat their product with respect. You don't get to go on top of my review without an alternate response to me. You people knew full well what you were doing and how you were doing it. I asked every person there to cook beef fish, medium rare everyone and then said absolutely not so you can go to hell. And if you want to keep on going, I got the rest of my life to make you my cause so go ahead make my day.

This may be why our service was impacted. Our bartender, while super friendly and trying to do his best, was overwhelmed and had just started. Lots to learn. The dishes were all really well presented - that takes skill, in and of itself. While these weren't dishes I would come back for, it was a nice, quiet dinner to end a full day. And, don't overlook location - this is in Alaska, so you will pay more. That aside, nothing was spectacular but nothing was terrible enough to leave on the table as well. More on point seasoning would have breathed life into my jambalaya. My dinner mates had similar comments about the chicken pasta and taquitos. The French Dip went over well with my dad. What would I change to up the service and experience? Direct guests to the main dining room if service cannot be duplicated in the larger bar area. Maybe add another bartender to help out in the evenings, when it tended to be busier. Offer a limited drink menu and nothing more. This might increase the speed and also play to the strengths of the staff. For us, it took a long while to get our total drink order and mine never came, so I ended up ordering a local cider. Bring a chilled glass with the cider, friend. Our check took a while as well. The food came timely. So, again, the patterns looked to be with the staff manning the bar area. Really, an easy fix, if you think about it.

We made a reservation for a larger group, yet the table wasn't ready when we arrived, and we ended up waiting much longer than expected. For a place that requires reservations, this was frustrating right from the start. The food was just okay--not terrible, but definitely not worth the price. Given our background and familiarity with Latin cuisine, we expected much more in terms of flavor and authenticity, especially considering the high cost of the dishes. The live music, which we were looking forward to, started about 30 minutes late. To make matters worse, when one of the band members didn't show up, the owner asked a member of our family--who happens to be a musician--to step in and play. Not only did this put us in an awkward position, but there was no acknowledgment or discount offered for his time, even though we had other plans to get to. Parking is also inconvenient, with only street parking or paid lot options available. The restaurant itself is very small, which does create a somewhat intimate atmosphere, but it also feels cramped for larger groups. While the owner comes across as friendly, it also felt like there was a strong focus on maximizing profit. There are multiple additional fees listed in very small print at the bottom of the menu--something that should be much more transparent or reconsidered altogether. Service overall was slow, and again, the pricing does not match the quality or experience provided. At this point, I wouldn't personally recommend this place unless there are significant improvements--better service, more consistent food quality, fairer pricing, clearer fee transparency, and better management of their live music arrangements.

I just wish there was a bit more flexibility around cross-contact for people ordering vegan options or with dietary restrictions. Based on my personal experience, I would lean toward a 2, but since others really enjoyed their crepes and the hot chocolate was great, it feels fair to land on a 3 for my rating.
