A great selection of good food options. Prime Rib Friday night special was both tasty and a good value. Daughter loved the chicken dijon dinner. Service was friendly and the atmosphere fun. We were staying close by and thought the place was a liquor store. Hidden gem of a wide selection of gluten free food options.

Halibut app and crab stuffed app were both great. Our server was amazing, so helpful and perfectly attentive without being bothersome. The atmosphere is fun and casual with lots of sports memorabilia and old historic feel. When power was out they were still open!

Ivory jacks is a little off the beaten path but I find that is what makes it special. Immediately after walking in I was impressed with all the Alaskan decorations. I felt like I was taken back in time but in a good way. However I experienced subpar customer service our waitress seemed very upset throughout the service. The bar has a lot of Alaskan beers on tap that they rotate regularly. I started with the party wings which only come in one flavor Buffalo however you can choose the spicy level on a scale 1-10. I got a 5 and it was a little much for me to handle. I then got the ivory burger which is just your traditional burger on a toasted bun it was great. I recommend coming here for the experience not necessarily the food. Next time I come back it will be on a Friday or Saturday night(after 5) to try there specials.

This is a very casual restaurant in/near Fairbanks. There are not many other sit down opens that are open for lunch, so we tried this spot out twice during our trip to Alaska. Both times the food was good, made as ordered. The drinks were good as well. We did carry out once and dine in once. The staff was friendly and the mood was light. I'd liken it to a sports bar. There are many tvs with games on, a full bar, and even a liquor store connect to it.

Still giving this place 5 stars. Just want to mention, in the past week I've been charged $5.50, $7.50 and $9.50 all for the same item each time. A cup of soup and cup of coffee, is there price difference in soup?

This place is a great laid back place. I ordered french onion soup. It was very good. Served hot traditionally. Very savory with stringy melted cheese. In addition, I Ordered the 10 inch All American Pizza. It is probably the best pizza outside of Chicago! Loved it. I will go back for more pizza!

Friday prime rib special and king crab order. (We ordered king crab by itself not as a side.)

Was visiting Fairbanks and I decided to try this place. Local bar/dinner. Middle of nowhere seemed like. Inside is huge. You have the bar.. Tvs for sports and bunch of tables for table side service. When you walk in, the sign says seat yourself. We found a seat in a corner. It was about 530pm and already tables were filling up. We went because I saw that they had a Friday night special- Prime rib. Friend had the prime rib and I ordered the king crab. Plenty of food for 2. Would've been better with 3. Or maybe we should've just ordered the prime rib with king crab as a side order not a meal. Over stuffed ourselves. Prime rib: nothing fancy. Like home made. Was good. King crab: fresh. 1.5lbs. Well worth it. Service is on the slow side. It was packed. Friday night and people are just more relaxed in AK. Bill came out to about 80smthing. (We also had an AK beer.) What is it about baked potatoes in Alaska? I'm not a big potato person but they were just yummy!

Although it was a bit of a tourist destination, the food was good and was plentiful. I really liked the Prime Rib! Salmon was good too. Only a few draw backs, the food is located outdoors and only the salad bar had a roof over the top. It did rain for a while and we had to make a choice to either stay undercover (hungry) or get wet (along with the food on your plate) while waiting in line to get your main courses. The main courses included Salmon, Prime Rib and a Cheesy Cod Bake. You also got unlimited non-alcoholic beverages and one dessert. Other drinks were available for a fee. Many of the people arrive on buses, so they do get really busy when each load is dropped off. Lines can be a bit long. The entrance was kind of cool, it was through an underground mine shaft. Ceiling is a little low so,watch your head!

I told them not to overcook the salmon on the grill. They don't season the salmon so a sprinkling of salt might help. The cauliflower rice was the opposite. It was heavy on the black pepper and salt. Go if you must check it off your Fairbanks bucket list just to say you've done it.

This may be why our service was impacted. Our bartender, while super friendly and trying to do his best, was overwhelmed and had just started. Lots to learn. The dishes were all really well presented - that takes skill, in and of itself. While these weren't dishes I would come back for, it was a nice, quiet dinner to end a full day. And, don't overlook location - this is in Alaska, so you will pay more. That aside, nothing was spectacular but nothing was terrible enough to leave on the table as well. More on point seasoning would have breathed life into my jambalaya. My dinner mates had similar comments about the chicken pasta and taquitos. The French Dip went over well with my dad. What would I change to up the service and experience? Direct guests to the main dining room if service cannot be duplicated in the larger bar area. Maybe add another bartender to help out in the evenings, when it tended to be busier. Offer a limited drink menu and nothing more. This might increase the speed and also play to the strengths of the staff. For us, it took a long while to get our total drink order and mine never came, so I ended up ordering a local cider. Bring a chilled glass with the cider, friend. Our check took a while as well. The food came timely. So, again, the patterns looked to be with the staff manning the bar area. Really, an easy fix, if you think about it.

We had the churrasco steak and the halibut Cuban style. The steak sauce has a kick, while the halibut sauce was slightly creamy but also refreshing - olive and lime perhaps? I thought the halibut was overcooked at first but the bottom half was perfectly cooked, so it seem like just the seasoned top was cooked more so. They both came from vegetables and yellow rice that soaked up the sauces well. We also got the flan which is house-made. So good, even better than the entrees. It tasted so 'fresh', don't know how else to describe it. They also had the cheesecake that night and I wonder if that's housemade as well. Wife got the mango juice which is freshly squeezed it seems and I got a bottle of Alaskan white. I do like the arctic warrior draft better but this was decent too.

We made a reservation for a larger group, yet the table wasn't ready when we arrived, and we ended up waiting much longer than expected. For a place that requires reservations, this was frustrating right from the start. The food was just okay--not terrible, but definitely not worth the price. Given our background and familiarity with Latin cuisine, we expected much more in terms of flavor and authenticity, especially considering the high cost of the dishes. The live music, which we were looking forward to, started about 30 minutes late. To make matters worse, when one of the band members didn't show up, the owner asked a member of our family--who happens to be a musician--to step in and play. Not only did this put us in an awkward position, but there was no acknowledgment or discount offered for his time, even though we had other plans to get to. Parking is also inconvenient, with only street parking or paid lot options available. The restaurant itself is very small, which does create a somewhat intimate atmosphere, but it also feels cramped for larger groups. While the owner comes across as friendly, it also felt like there was a strong focus on maximizing profit. There are multiple additional fees listed in very small print at the bottom of the menu--something that should be much more transparent or reconsidered altogether. Service overall was slow, and again, the pricing does not match the quality or experience provided. At this point, I wouldn't personally recommend this place unless there are significant improvements--better service, more consistent food quality, fairer pricing, clearer fee transparency, and better management of their live music arrangements.

I asked if one skillet could be wiped down so I could safely order, but they weren't able to accommodate that (it also wasn't very busy at the time, which is why I asked). Because of this, I decided not to risk ordering a crepe. I did end up getting the hot chocolate, which was actually excellent. It was really well balanced, rich, and chocolatey without being overly sweet. Everyone else in my group ordered crepes and loved them, so it's clear the food is good. I just wish there was a bit more flexibility around cross-contact for people ordering vegan options or with dietary restrictions. Based on my personal experience, I would lean toward a 2, but since others really enjoyed their crepes and the hot chocolate was great, it feels fair to land on a 3 for my rating.
