Brunch, brunch, brunch!! I came here with a fellow teller for Sunday brunch and we were both sooo pleased with the food! I ordered the German toast made with sourdough, served with a jam and homemade cinnamon whip cream! The whip cream was heavenly!! Super delicious! The plate came with like 6 slices and I took two home, even cold this dish was amazing! My friend ordered the Benny's with a spicy sauce and fried pork, also very good! The interesting thing about this place was, if you eat out on the patio, you go up to the bar counter to order. But it was a pretty seedless process, after the initial order, the bartender came to check up on us and offered refills. Amazing. Super cool redo of a highlands old building. Right across from a park (perfect to walk off the beers and peer at the upscale modern houses being built north of Invesco) loved everything about decor and bar spaces. Beers were phenomenal (and thanks to the beer passport 1 was free) Food was top notch. Very high quality, scratch made. Loved the yucca fries so much that we got more and the pretzel was awesome but really loved the homemade mustard. Need a jar of it please! Bartender was one of the best we've ever had. We went back and forth between leaving a 5 star (our first visit) and a 2 star (our second visit). The first time we stopped before a concert at mile high- loved the food and drinks so much (especially the buffalo cauliflower and Parmesan fries!) that we made a trip up from Castle Rock to enjoy them again. This time unfortunately, the fries were now rosemary and very bland. The buffalo cauliflower was over fried and served cold. We went on summer Sunday evening and sat on the upper deck. Our party of four ended up sampling 6 of their beers, including an IPA, a fruit berry wheat beer, porter, And a couple Belgian ales. They were all very good, which is unique to have a brewery do so many types of beer well. The charcuterie board was one of the best I've had with the buttered bread toasts instead of the typical crackers or baguette. I had the seasonal salad, my husband had a burger, and sons had the pork tasting meal. All were delicious and unique. And the carmelized bananas with ice cream were an amazing end to the meal. Beers are great and food pretty good but disappointed as been here 3 times and roof deck patio "closed." Although there were tons of people up there, told we weren't allowed to be seated up here. These folks were the best for us. We had come from the children's museum and just wanted a quick lunch, especially because our toddler was about to meltdown (it was way past naptime and lunchtime). We went in, they were kinda busy so there was a bit of a wait (not long but too long in toddler Time), and toddler was about to freak out so we stepped out so he didn't in the restaurant because we were worried about disrupting everyone and decided we might try and find somewhere else. These amazing and generous folks rushed to make a table available for us and asked if we wanted to come back in. Their service was excellent, the food was life-changing (oh my gosh that Briar Burger), we're going to make a tradition out of this. Hit the children museum and then Briar. Stopped in prior to a corporate event at the PPA. Ordered their Winter beer (Alison) and really enjoyed it. The atmosphere is great and the staff welcoming. For dinner I took the bartenders recommendation of the pork belly lettuce wraps - just amazing and worth every dollar. I should have taken a pic because the presentation was awesome - sweet teriyaki coated thick pieces of pork belly, very fresh lettuce leaves, three spreads (one was goat cheese the others marmalade-like sweet and smokey spreads) and a variety of pickled veggies (onion, water crest I think and pickles). Overall this is the epitome of a well executed local brew house. The rooftop patio looks awesome too. Well done! read more

If you're looking for a venue to host 20-30 people this is it! I recently decided to have my dinner reception after getting married here and I was not disappointed. Spoke to Sabrina, the event coordinator before hand and she was helpful. I told her what our budget was and she explained everything to us. She even helped me figure out drinks and I basically had an open bar, without shots. The food was really good. I highly encourage ordering a side of chicken tenders and Fries for the side. It says it serves 6-8 but for us it served over 20 and we had left overs. We ordered the Jefferson dinner and we had more then enough food. The best part of the night was the service we received! I wish I would have gotten names but they were awesome. For the guest that didn't drink they had non-alcoholic beverages and the servers made great suggestions. I would recommend some table decorations like flowers but not much was needed. Unfortunately, I didn't take any pictures since I was mingling with my guest. read more

Try whatever they have for specialty seasonal brews. Every time we come here, the specials are our favorites. They do a series of barrel aged beers and they always have a really nice subtler flavor than many barrel aged beers -- in a delightful way. Be prepared to bring home a growler! Come hungry, too. Hard to resist the Mac n cheese with brussels and bacon. Buffalo cauliflower is another favorite on the menu. If it's warm weather, check out the patio upstairs. This place is the perfect combination of brewery and high-quality restaurant! I'm not a huge beer drinker, so when our waiter brought us unsolicited samples I wasn't sure that was beer well spent. I was wrong! The beers were so good. And my dad who, is picky about beer, agreed. I got a tuna poke salad for lunch that was generous and delicious. My friend and I went on a Friday night around 9PM and we were seated right away - it wasn't over crowded and was the perfect ambiance to enjoy a good conversation. I ordered the farmers bowl and a London Fog. The farmers bowl was overpriced for what it was - the roasted vegetables were carrots, peas, and corn...possibly from a frozen bag? It was very filling but it reminded me of fried rice from Trader Joe's with a fresh egg and unnecessary pickled onions. The drink was AMAZING! It was equally cozy and refreshing - I would definitely come back for drinks and maybe some finger food (they have buffalo cauliflower so Id like to try those) but don't think I would return for a full meal. Ordered the seasonal salad which was to have arugula, farro, nuts apples, cheese etc. It was basically a gigantic bowl of arugula and some toppings. They had not fallen to the bottom. There was not even a trace of farro. Dressing lacked flavor. The cocktail vanilla fig old fashion was weak and overly sweet. LOVE Briar Common! I have had the pleasure of dining and drinking here several times and not once have I been disappointed! The beers, the food, the service - always amazing. The restaurant itself is very cool and offers both indoor and patio/rooftop dining. The menu is always changing, offering seasonal dishes and a few staples (the buffalo cauliflower is a must). While I am not a big beer drinker, even I can't resist getting a flight every now and then simply because the beers always sound so good - and they always are :) They have events going on constantly to showcase their beers and menu - a pairing dinner is definitely on my to-do. The highlight of going to briar is always the happy hour burger+beer for 10 dollars and the buffalo calliflower. DO NOT GET THE CHOP SALAD unless you want raw Brussels with mustard on it. The bar tenders are nice most of the time and they have great bathrooms. I come here often. read more

Bummer. I really wanted to like this place since it's literally across the street from my house. Sadly, it's not going to be a place I go, ever. First of all, my buddy and I showed up and the staff acted as if we were interrupting them so we didn't feel particularly welcome. The drink selection was sad, and I get that they're a brewery but I was disappointed they didn't have my drink of choice. And lastly, they had nothing I could eat. This place is a spot to check out. The vibe is very cool without being uber hipster. The beers are solid; very balanced with great flavor. The food is also spectacular.
