Their website says they open on Sunday at 5:00. Called for Delivery and they said "we don't f*%#ing want to open today until six" followed by a "we don't want your f*%#ing business!!" Don't go there. OK. So, the fact that I am STILL ordering lunch from this place even after my nasty review a few years ago should tell you that they are incredible. The delivery is still slow, but if I order around 1-1:30pm my order arrives at 2pm promptly. As soon as I realized this really was a small business, really more of a "mom-&-pop organization" things worked better. The food is consistently delicious. My favourite thing after over 4 years+ of coming here is still the lamb gyro (this is still the BEST tzatziki I've ever had and my god mother is greek-turkish, so I know my tzatziki), but I recently tried the Broadway panini and it was SOOO good. I also enjoy their salads a great deal and generally order a small one for lunch with my gyro. I once had a calzone which was yummy, but I was full for a day and a half afterward, so I don't get them anymore. If you are reading this review, you really should eat here. Seriously. I order from these guys occasionally when I need a change from the regular Pagliacci pizza or want something more than pizza. I always have hope for these guys because I like their crust and their plain pizza. But it seems like their other ingrediants are bland or just not very high quality. The more toppings I get on a pizza, the odder it tastes. My biggest disappointment, though, is with their ceaser salad. Two problems: 1) They always get too long to deliver the food 2) I live in an apartment an I would like to have my order to be delivered at my door. Surprisingly, the deliver guy (that is also the owner) said he couldnt go up to my apartment. He was rude while talking to me on the buzzer and asked me "Do you want the food or not?" From a food standpoint, this place is easily a 5-star Yelp establishment. I think the place is suffering from a bit of an identity crisis, however; that's why I give it 4 stars. Let's start with the food. I stopped in for lunch and ordered the Gusto Pesto Calzone. The serving size was enormous; if didn't taste so darn good, I normally would not have finished it all. The crust was crisp, but not burned on the outside and soft, but not chewy on the inside. More importantly, I did not feel like the calzone was overwhelmingly doughy like some calzones I've eaten. The filling was plenty: sliced chicken breast, sauteed mushrooms and artichoke hearts with pesto sauce (I skipped the tomatoes). It was clear that the ingredients were fresh and the food was made to order. Before I move on to the identity of the place, let me add that this is intended to be constructive criticism for the owner. If you're just looking for great food, you probably won't even notice the little things I'm going to nitpick on next. First, from the street, you wouldn't even realize it's a restaurant. I wish the sign over the door said "Briatore Pizza" or "Briatore Bistro" or something similar, so people would know it's a restaurant. I suspect they'd have more walk-in traffic if it did. The word "Briatore" alone means nothing to me; in fact, I drove by the place multiple times without even thinking it was a restaurant. I found it online (the website could use some simplification; navigating the menu is a bit clumsy). When you walk in, the decor is light and reminiscent of a bistro or cafe. You place your order at the counter and take a seat. It does take some time for the food to come out, but I didn't feel it was too long, especially given the quality of the food. My calzone was served on nice china with proper cutlery. I noticed other dishes were served on pizza trays or in disposable aluminum tins. I feel like the presentation of the food clashed with its quality and the ambiance of the place. Is it a place where you order at the counter and get food on a pizza tray? Or a restaurant where your order is taken at your table and you are served on fine china? The other oddity was that it seemed like the whole place was run by a single woman whom I believe is the owner/chef (I'm assuming so because she was wearing a chef's jacket). She took my order, prepared the dish and served it to me at my table. It felt rustic, like I was in my Italian mother's kitchen, but I felt like it clashed with the bistro feel. Maybe times are tough and they can't afford extra help; that might also explain why delivery wasn't as prompt as some other reviewers expected. I really feel like this place could be super successful if it defined its identity more clearly, but there's one thing that's for certain about this place: the food is good. read more

I ordered looking at the online menu and I ended up paying at least $2.00 more for every item I ordered I bought food for co workers at Andes up being a difference of $24.00 that I paid extra off six items 2 people ordered the same exact thing and even the price of the 2 same items were different. When I called and talked to the manager he offered to return my tip and that was it. read more

A co-worker showed me this place awhile back and have been back many times for lunch. Always a great experience and great food. Owners are there every day and always extremely friendly. I've never ordered delivery, but based on how fast I've seen their delivery vehicles driving around the area, I assume its due to traffic (that's not good around here). I typically get their Gyros and Calzones. Always perfect in my opinion. Wait times are not bad, prices decent, and the place is very clean. Their location though is a little weird as its hidden in the back of a strip mall. I'm guessing a lot of their business is delivery. They have moved to a new location as of about a week ago, it's about a block or so west of the old location. Their website has the new address listed as: 13238 NE 20th St #100. It's in the old JT's Deli location, between King's and the bank. The new location is much larger, and brighter with lots of room for seating, etc. I discovered Briatore a few years ago while looking for a good lunch spot, and was hooked after the first visit. Since then, many of my coworkers have become regulars as well. My favorite menu items are the Lamb Gyro and the "Gusto Greek" calzone. (although I have yet to try something there that wasn't extremely tasty!) The owners are extremely friendly, are there all the time, and make you feel right at home every time you come in. I haven't had anything delivered, but since my office is only a few blocks away, I haven't needed to. :) I think it's pretty neat that they are making an effort to be "green" and their delivery vehicles are Smart cars and scooters. Well, some of you may be looking at my review with 5 stars as, possibly a joke. But let me set the story straight on this 5 star rating. I have been a customer to Briatore for 10 years now. I used to go to them when they were in a small little pizza shop on the opposite side of Northup Way and I used to work for Archstone Redmond Campus where I would boast to all my new residents about the wonders of their DELICIOUS New York style pizza. Then I moved.... far far away. I was so concerned that I wouldn't get to eat at my favorite restaurant any longer, but because it was so amazing, I made a point to drive 30 to 45 minutes, depending on traffic, out of my way to obtain the tasty lamb gyro (seriously the best gyro I've ever eaten) and the fantastic taste of their pepperoni and Italian sausage pizza. Though I don't get there nearly as much as I'd like, I highly recommend it to anyone that lives in the Bellevue, Redmond, Kirkland area because the owner's are sweet as can be. After not being into Briatore for about a year, I walked in, and Amy greeted me with a smile and instantly we picked back up on life from the point we had last seen each other. She even remembered what I wanted before I could order it. It's small owner run places like this, that have great service and great food that deserve praise! read more

I came in as a last minute lunch because I couldn't decide on lunch knowing that most lunch spot were probably closed. Going off the business hours from yelp, I walked up and didn't know they had closed for lunch and reopened again for dinner. I ordered a pizza for delivery and was told it would be about 45 minutes. It arrived exactly ontime and was still hot. I got the Pesto Veggie pizza which sounded delicious, but had precious little pesto or sundried tomatoes on it. Lots of artichoke hearts and cheese, but not much zing. It was just OK. I would've never guessed this place was a restaurant from the outside. I came here on a Saturday with a friend around 11am and I don't think the store was quite open yet (the doors were locked). The owners were inside though, so they let us in and we ordered our calzones. These calzones are HUGE so I would recommend splitting one with a friend if you're not starving. I loved that the outside crust was very crispy. The only reason why I removed a star was because it took a while for our food to come out. I think we were waitng for at least 15 minutes after ordering until we got our food and we were the only people in the place. The decor inside is very clean and modern though (love thier colorful chairs!) which I really liked. Would definitely recommend Briatore to anyone looking for pizza but want something a new. Will most likely be coming back if I'm in the area and craving some pizza! read more

After reading the various reviews, I was prepared to face a rude owner while on my quest for some good food. I'm happy to say that he was not rude at all, quite the opposite actually. I got the Chicken Alfredo calzone, and it was delicious. The crust was cooked perfectly and all the ingredients inside tasted fresh. I think the only downside was the size of the slice NY Cheese cake I got. Seemed a bit small for the $4.15 I paid for it, though it was delicious as well. I'll definitely be going back, although I'll call ahead to lessen my wait time. Went back today (2/1). Called ahead and placed my order for a dinner size green salad with chicken. I did so in an effort to eat more healthy. Everything would have been fine had they not had whoopie pies sitting on the counter under glass. God, I love whoopie pies. Naturally, I had to buy two. The salad was HUGE. Next time I'll go with the lunch size. Everything was crisp and delicious, except for the chicken. It was moist and delicious. Ah, the whoopie pie. I had such high expectations. The pie part was excellent. Moist, chocolaty, delicious. The whoopie part, eh. The texture was great, but the flavor was too salty. One would assume that any salt in frosting would be too much, right? I'm guessing the filling wasn't fully mixed, so I'll let it slide this time. read more

I wanted write a quick spot on this little Italian lunch spot in Bellevue. I have to admit their signage seemed to make you think it's a furniture store vs. a restaurant, however once I walked in my nose told me I just entered a place that reminded me of Italy. The owner came from the old country and has his family working there including their little boy. I ordered something simple, Calzone which he recommended. In most cases the Calzone I have ordered from other restaurants never get it right. It came out piping hot and baked perfectly, very large in size, crust was done just right, butter glistened on top with oregano sprinkled around and the ingredients inside the pie were very good quality. This was hands down the best Calzone I have ever had in the PNW area so with that I will go back just for that dish. This is a lunch place, sit yourself, order yourself but was clean and people were friendly. I would recommend if your "dreaming" for a great Calzone go there. read more

Had lunch here today for the first time with a friend. She highly recommended it, and I can see why! The restaurant is cozy, but adorable! Lots of options for drinks, including wine & beer. I had a very generous pour of Chardonnay and a sandwich I can not recall the name of- chicken, spinach, cucumber, and mozzarella. Phenomenal! It was huge and light. Ok soooo..... I am from New Jersey, which, naturally, makes me an arrogant jerk. I think I know everything about everything and that we have the best food. So, needless to say, I have been thoroughly disappointed by most of the food I have come across since moving here. Today I have FINALLY found some dynamite pizza. I've tried all the others -- Pagliacci (uh, I don't even consider it pizza), Topolino's (can you say garlic attack? I had heartburn for 2 days!), Garlic Jim's (yuck) & Flying Saucer (not bad but not good either). Briatore makes a FANTASTIC PIZZA!!! The crust is perfect -- crunchy, moist and not chewy. Not too thick, not too thin. The cheese has to be the best part -- it is REAL mozzarella (you can tell because it is WHITE not YELLOW/ORANGE like most places). Toppings were great, not over done and flavor full and fresh tasting. Delivery was fast (about 30 minutes), food arrived just as ordered (toppings, well done, light sauce) and both the woman who took the order as well as the driver were friendly and professional (not a 16 year old kid with an attitude) The driver actually turned around about 5 steps away from the door to say "Thank you" after he saw the tip amount [$5 on a $16 bill]. Overall the experience was great and I would HIGHLY recommend Briatore to anyone looking for a QUALITY PIZZA. If you are a regular of any chain pizza place then you obviously do not appreciate a good pie (and you will probably find Briatore expensive) and this is NOT the place for you! You can eat it there on the patio, take it out, or have it delivered to your office. I call ahead and have my order ready when I get there. read more

I do not have a problem with the food at Briatore. However, my experience with the business and restaurant as a whole was extremely disappointing. Micha's review was spot on. I work in Bellevue and a couple of coworkers and I made an lunch order for delivery at 11:30. These orders were not overly complicated by any means; a sandwhich, 2 salads, and 2 sparkling waters. Our orders were taken and we were told that our food would arrive around 12:15. By 12:45 we had still not received our food, so I called to get an update. The update from them was that our order would be delivered in 5 minutes. At 1:00pm we had still not received our order so we called again. When asked what the reason for the delay was they responded, "this is the restaurant business and we are busy". Finally the food arrived about 5 minutes past 1:00pm. The delivery man, who is also the owner of the restaurant, took off before I could have a conversation with him in regards to my disappointment in his level of service. I will not be ordering from Briatore again and my recommendation is that they remove the delivery service all together. As a business, if you are going to set expectations of your customers then you should deliver on them. DON'T GO HERE. read more

We work in an clinic here in Bellevue. We order lunch out quite frequently to help break up our day. Since we see patients all day long our lunch time is very limited. Delivery time and promptness are key to us. We love the food at Briatore....it is very good!! But...what drives us crazy is there horrible delivery service. We give them plenty of warning...hours beforehand yet the food still arrives over 30 minutes late. We only have 30 minutes for lunch at a specified time so the food often arrives once our lunch is over. Lunch during the work time should be a stress free break...Briatore....why are you stressing us out!!!! We are addicted to your food, but we are hungry!!! read more

The other reviews here that complain about horrendously slow service are spot on. But what makes me so torn is that they have fantastic food! This place is definitely a hobby for the owners, not a business, There are some days that they decide just not to open and other days they decide to open for just half the day, so be sure to call ahead before wasting your time. If you get there on a busy day and did not call your order in, be prepared to wait a very long to to not only place your order, but get your food. There is typically only 1 or 2 people ever working, and they are very, very slow while they try to cook, take counter orders and answer phones. Even if you call your order in ahead of time, don't expect it to be ready when they say it will be ready. On top of that, they always look closed in that they never have the lights on inside or their large flat screen TV. Again, this appears to be nothing more than a hobby for the owners who put in very little effort. Beyond those very frustrating aspects, they do have great food. The pizza's are great, the lamb gyro's are fantastic and their cheese bread is incredible. Like someone else said, its a classic Seinfeld "Soup Nazi" scenario. This place is absolutely AMAZING! I used to come here all the time when I worked in Bellevue and I rarely get to go there now that I work in Seattle. My recos would be the Brooklyn Bridge Panini, Four Cheese Tortellini, gyros, breadsticks (TO DIE FOR) and salads. Their salads are always super fresh. I haven't tried everything on the menu yet, but I'm sure they won't disappoint. It is a smaller restaurant, but I think most people order to go/delivery so if you wanted to sit and eat, you wouldn't have to wait long for a table. They are always super friendly and their kids are really cute. Always fun to get a few smiles and waves from the little boy while I wait for my food. Yes, delivery time can be a little longer than expected, but it is definitely worth the wait. Keep in mind that they only have one person delivering and they cover a busy part of Bellevue especially on weekdays during lunch. read more
