Happy Hour at Bricco is plentiful in portions. Quaint restaurant (inside) which feels it's a neighborhood restaurant. Customers seem to know the staff. We had the following food and each of the dishes were good American favorites comfort food: Caesar Salad, Fried Mozzarella, and Spaghetti Marinara.

Butter Cake (it comes with a large scoop of vanilla ice cream, but we had it on the side because we were taking the cake home)

If I could shout from rooftops to tell everyone how delicious the food is, I would! We went for dinner and discovered their "happy hour" yesterday! We were happily greeted by our server Gianna and the Bartender, both smiled and welcomed us. The food came quickly and at perfect temperatures. We discovered 'happy hour' while there and ordered from that menu since we like to share small plates. This happy hour is one of the best values in the Laguna Niguel area! The QUALITY of this food sets them apart from others! The restaurant itself is small and intimate with music on certain nights. We arrived at 4:15 so there were 4 people at the bar, and tables were open. We ordered a caesar salad, the calamari, and Pappardelle Bolognese, plus my hubbies favorite the famous 'giant' meatball starter topped with marinara and burrata, served in an all-clad skillet. The Caesar salad was just enough for my husband and was served cold with crisp romaine lettuce, fried capers, buttery croutons but it was the dressing that was really delicious! It was perfectly balanced, and we could actually taste the anchovies! Yum. That house-made huge meatball I mentioned is a blend of beef, pork, and veal, and one of the best meatballs in the area (and beyond), no exaggeration! As an Italian Nonna, I've been making meatballs for decades and this recipe is legit. The pappardelle is house-made by a friend of the owner. He spends time in his kitchen and you can absolutely taste it with every bite! The pasta was cooked perfectly and the bolognese was delightful, I could taste the richness and depth of flavors with a hint of wine. Yum. The calamari was perfect! I wonder if they soak the squid before breading them because it's so tender even the tentacles (which are my favorite part ) melt in your mouth! The batter is tasty and the breading had the perfect balance of spices that blended together nicely and it was served with a side of marinara and lemon wedges (the later is my preference.) The butter cake is house-made by the owner and decadently delicious, sooo yummy. We brought it home but ate the delicious ice cream on the side. This is a great little neighborhood ristorante and a favorite of many! It's a great place to eat 'alfresco' on the outdoor patio, or listen to music on Friday or Saturday night. Make a reservation as it not a large place. Buon appetito!

We are at Bricco almost every weekend -- it's become our go-to spot for great pizza and good vibes. We always sit at the bar, where the staff knows us by now and treats everyone like family. It's the kind of place where you instantly feel comfortable. We always get the New York-style pizza, half jalapeño and pineapple, and the other half pepperoni and sausage. It's the perfect combo of sweet, spicy, and savory -- and the crust is always thin, crisp, and perfectly charred from the oven. You can tell they really care about quality here. One of my favorite parts about Bricco is the live music. They often have cover singers doing classics -- think Elvis, Frank Sinatra, and other old-school favorites -- and it gives the whole place this fun, nostalgic energy that makes you want to linger a little longer. Whether we're just grabbing a drink and pizza at the bar or making a full night of it, Bricco never misses. It's easily one of the highlights of my weekend every time.

My wife and I stopped by here during happy hour. We ordered the spaghetti and marinara, fried mozzarella, and Caesar salad. All three dishes were great: robust flavors, fresh ingredients, well-prepared and very good-sized portions. And for happy hour prices that were very reasonable. My wife and I left full. The next time I go back for happy hour, I'll order one of their drinks, which are also reasonably priced. The hostess was very friendly and so was our waitress. Happy hour appears to be popular, as the restaurant was full. The ambiance was buzzy, high energy, people enjoying their meals and each other's company. This is a friendly, neighborhood-type restaurant. They also have music, although we didn't stay to listen to it. Definitely a place I'll return to.

Because changing into going out clothes and driving sounded exhausting, we went with delivery instead. THE FOOD. - House Salad. The pile of mozzarella cheese and roasted red bell peppers are amazing! Oh, and the salad is fresh too. It serves at least two people (with second helpings if needed). - Deluxe Pizza. A nice balance of bold and fresh flavors. The pepperoni & sausage brought savoriness while the canadian bacon added a touch of sweetness. Red onions and roasted peppers gave a vibrant lift whereas the mushrooms and black olives grounded it with earthy, briny notes. Cheesy mozzarella and the boldness of Parmesan cheeses finish off this delicious pizza. - Build Your Own Pizza. He only wanted pepperoni & onions because life doesn't have to be complicated (his words, not mine). THE RETURN. I'd come back for more pizza and salad!

Cute place for good food, generous pours, and live music! We came on a Friday night and got a lot of dishes to share. We got the calamari, bolognese, ceasar salad, linguine, and pizza along with wine & dessert. Everything tasted fresh and if you come for happy hour, you have an extensive food and drink menu to choose from. The live music was really nice and the service is excellent.

Hubby was craving Cacio e Pepe, so I did a search on Yelp and this was the closest place that offered it. The reviews for their Cacio e Pepe seemed promising, so we decided to give it a shot. We ended up ordering our food to go. I called at 3:45pm to see if I could place the order for 4pm pick up, but they said no, and to call back at 4pm when they open. I wondered why they even picked up the phone in the first place? Hubby arrived at 4pm, placed the order for 2 Cacio e Pepe's to go, and it was ready in 15 min. When we opened up our food containers at home, we were pleased with the size and portion of the pasta, however they completely missed the mark on the flavor. I'll admit that we've had authentic Cacio e Pepe quite a few times in Italy, so we know what it should taste like. Unfortunately this was not it. First of all, the dish was very soupy and watered down. Typically Cacio e Pepe is creamy and consists of pecorino, pepper & butter. The pecorino and pepper were very light. We actually barely tasted any pecorino, but there was some type of cheese on it. The pepper was also very light, which is not typical for this dish. The pasta was unfortunately over-cooked (too soft) and not al dente. And last of all, Cacio e Pepe should be creamy, not watery and soupy. This review is solely based on the Cacio e Pepe dish, so please keep that in mind. We would consider returning to try their pizza or lasagna. They also seem to have a good happy hour menu.

Pleasantly surprised at Bricco yesterday. A group of us went to dinner at this small but very clean, and chic restaurant. The food was great and delicious. The only reason for the 4 stars is that one person ordered a Chicken Salad and it took forever for it to come out. A couple of people were almost done eating when the salad came out. I was pleasantly surprised the menu was updated and added a vegan and gluten free dinner option. Bravo! I ordered the Kale and Mushroom Vegan Ravioli.... so good! The house salad can also be accommodated to be vegan. Wonderful! I was a happy camper! Our server was very kind, helpful, and polite. We'll definitely be back. Hopefully, next time will be a 5 start review.

We came here for dinner tonight. The restaurant is small but they also have a tent outside that is very cute. Food was delicious and service was great. I had the chicken piccata and that was very good. The pasta was perfectly cooked, el dente, and it had a nice chewy texture. The zucchini was also very good and not overcooked. Hubby had the pappardelle pasta with bolognese (meat sauce with beef & pork) and he loved it. We had Diane as our server and she was wonderful. Staff is very well-trained here and everyone is so nice. There's also live entertainment on the weekends. The guy started out just singing but he changed into an Elvis Presley outfit later and did a fantastic job entertaining diners.

My wife and I had a spur of the moment craving for some Italian and on the recommendation of some of the folks on her FB groups we decided to check out Bricco. Our server, Jennifer was wonderful. Attentive and personable. The outside seating was nice with a patio heater setup. I ordered the Blue Collar Chicago Style and my wife ordered the Alfredo and it was delish! We wrapped it up with the Nutella donut balls (lol) and had enough left over for the next three days! Forgot what the name was. Definitely coming back. Especially to check out the pizza and the different style crusts. The 14" seems to be the perfect size too. Excellent!

The food was absolutely delicious. Our server Michelle was great & the ambiance was inviting. Our first time here and we can't wait to keep coming again and again.

My second visit. Went on a Wednesday night. It was not too busy. The dining room was mostly full, and the patio was empty. We were greeted promptly, but the staff appeared stretched thin. It took about 5 minutes to be seated, despite no one being ahead of us. We ordered calamari shortly after sitting down. It arrived a very long 15 minutes. The portion size was reasonable, and the quality was very good. The marinara was served warm, and the arugula added a nice contrast in texture and flavor. This was the strongest part of the meal. When the calamari arrived, we placed our entrée order: a gluten-free pizza and two pasta dishes. The entrées arrived about 20 minutes later. There was a lot of waiting. Approximately 40 minutes worth (5 minutes to be seated, 15 minutes for the appetizer, and 20 minutes for entrées), which felt long given the overall crowd level. The pizza was very good, especially since it was gluten-free. The pasta dishes were below average. They were overcooked and soft, with sauce applied too heavily. We finished with tiramisu. It was good quality, though somewhat expensive. The total was $107.21 before tax and tip. The staff was friendly and professional throughout the visit. Service delays appeared related to staffing levels and kitchen pacing. Overall, this visit was inconsistent compared to my previous experience. Some items were strong, while others fell short, and service was slower than expected for the price point. P.S. The restaurant next door, Alo Asian Kitchen, was under renovation again when we left. At this point, this is probably the sixth or seventh remodel I've seen there.

Such a lovely family restaurant. We sat outside in the Patio. And they have heat lamp. We ended up order a bottle of Decoy wine. The food was Delicious. Service was Excellent and very Attentive. We enjoyed it very much. And would come back for more.

Came to Bricco from the good reviews. I was not disappointed, this was one of the best Italian places i've ever been to. It was clearly authentic and refined, you could tell the chef knew the Italian cuisine to the T. We ordered the starter bread, pizza, the giant meatball and the pasta special. The bread was amazing, same with the pasta and the meatball was our favorite. The pizza was way bigger than expected and the portion sizes are pretty big. We planned on getting tiramisu at the end of the meal but we were so stuff we decided to get it another day. We went back and ordered the tiramisu, it was the best we've ever had. Not only was the food great but the staff were amazing, super friendly and helpful. Best service and Italian food we've had in awhile, definitely recommend. read more

With the beautiful saxophone playing classic hits in the background we enjoyed homemade fresh pasta, gluten free New York style pizza, Italian beef sandwich and Tiramisu for dessert we all agreed this is our new go to! After driving by Bricco for, oh I don't know, maybe seven years or more, we finally stopped in for dinner. Very friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere. I chose the Tuscan pasta dish and my husband tried the Blue Collar pizza, Chicago style (cut in squares). We both looked at each other after the first bites: "where or where have you been all my life" and " why oh why didn't we come sooner!" OMG, that pasta and all those pieces of goodness in THAT SAUCE! Yep, could eat it daily and not get tired of it! My husband's pizza was outstanding, too...thin but light, flexible crust, not-too-spicy meats just melted in his mouth...ok, he forced me to take a square ($20.00 small pizza is a LOT of pizza!). Ok, we've been back twice and have ordered takeout too. Our new go-to Italian restaurant, forever and ever. Can you spell Y U M?! read more

This place changed hands after the covid scare, and it's now a family-run business with excellent chefs. Although it's our go-to place for pizza-- much better eaten right there than taken to-go -- they have a terrific, varied Italian menu, from apps to desserts. The waitstaff is also family, and it's nice to be recognized and appreciated when ever we go back. They often have live music on the weekends so reservations are a must on those nights. Dining-in is either inside, or on their covered patio, and either is delightful. An enthusiastic thumbs-up! read more

Dear Bricco, I just wanted to say thank you for such a great Valentine's Day dinner last night. Our kitchen is currently being remodeled so we haven't had a home cooked meal in a long time. We didn't make reservations because we didn't know what time our construction would be done for the day and your wonderful staff brought out a folding table and chair and put it on the side of the restaurant for us. It was perfect and we felt so welcomed in your restaurant. Thank you....the kindness of accommodating us on such a busy night and the hospitality of it all touch our hearts very much. Your staff went above and beyond and after a very long day for us, you made our night very special. Your food is absolutely perfect too. Thank you again for making our experience so special. Service was the worst....arrived at 6 after 15 mins we had to flag someone for waters. A lady came and was rushing us to order so we basically just ordered a pizza and waters. Water never came so I went to ask again....30 mins later she brought 2 glasses of water for a table of 4. An hour goes by with no food.....our kids were so hungry and grumpy when I asked her to please bring something for our kids to eat while we kept waiting they brought crackers....literally! (Photo below) we then asked what can be made quick... can you just give our kids something besides crackers?....she brought one slice of pizza for them to split. After 1 hour and 34 mins (no joke) we got cheese bread and 20 mins later our pizza. Took most of it home we were so hungry that by that point our stomachs filled up with one slice. Very unorganized....it was chaos and simply not a good place to take the kiddos unless you feed them prior and have plenty of time to wait for your dinner. So disappointed with the service that it kind of ruined our taste palette. Pizza was ok....not 2 hour wait worth for sure. read more

They turned us away when the majority of the tables inside and outside the restaurant were not occupied. Claiming they were all reserved. We weren't intending on staying for the live music and would have probably finished long before it began. Not a good look. read more

Server did not add my chicken to pizza, after i specifically asked for that along with my 3 other added on toppings. I also ordered the Newyork style pizza.... I got chicago instead. I asked him if what i recieved was Newyork style because it was suppose to be cut in squares. He said it was and that the chicago pizza is the one cut in squares. I know what i ordered and he was wrong. Then had the nerve to respond with "next time..." but then stopped himself. Poor service will not be returning. read more

Son had a dance competition close by, so we just randomly stopped in to get a bite and kill some time. All the food was delicious and really appreciated server Paula for her warmth and extra time to tell us about the menu. Happy hour menu was great and portions were perfect to try multiple entrees. This restaurant was outstanding. We arrived as they were opening for dinner. The waitresses were very welcoming and friendly. It was our first time there and they were knowledgeable about the menu and made recommendations. The owner came over to introduce himself and to greet us. It was a complete package. From the appetizer and entree to lastly finish off our evening with dessert we were delighted. We know we will come again and will recommend it to others. Second Visit: Food: EXCELLENT. Homemade pastas, Sauces and desserts. That Limoncello Cheesecake is to DIE for. I ordered my dinner from the Happy Hour menu. Great dinner! Such kind servers that were very attentive and helpful. We ordered the bread and bruschetta trio to start. The trio was sooooo delicious and the bread was crispy on the outside and hot, fresh, and soft on the inside. I ordered the Tuscan pasta, and it was amazing! I suggest ordering it extra spicy for even more flavor. The butter cake for dessert is an absolute must. Such a wonderful dinner, they even have a set up for live music which I would love to have seen. Can't wait to come back! read more

So torn here. There have been several times when we've tried to come eat here for an early dinner (5pm) and although almost all, ALL of the tables both inside and outside of the restaurant were empty, we were told that we could not eat there because they had reservations. I could understand if they had a bunch of large parties and other parties all coming in around the same time for an early dinner and we had somehow walked in right before they all arrived, but...three separate times on different days of the week? Pretty hard to believe. And we got passed around from person to person. The first person to speak with us yelled across the room to a server to ask if she could take us. Nope. She then yelled over to another person who also said they couldn't take us. Pretty awkward and upsetting. But all the food is very good. I guess they just want everyone to get it to-go. read more

My husband and I want to try their entrees, but we can't seem to stop ordering the pizza - it's that good ! Best NY style pizza in South County in my opinion. We love the Blue Collar and the Cheese pizza (NY style). Cozy spot with live music on weekends. Great local spot for good food! read more

Seems like the ambience and decor improved with new ownership post Covid, however our takeaway pizza was disappointing with the cheese sliding off trying to eat, Worth another try so a "maybe" but wasn't pleased. Pizza is a no brainer for an Italian place so they need to get that right. read more

We haven't gotten pizza here in ages and not since the new owners took over. We're big fans of thin crust pizza (usually NY style) and have a hard time finding ones we really like. But BRICCO for pizza is now the perfect place. They have both Chicago and NY thin crust pizza. I was previously unaware their Chicago pizza was THIN crust (cut in squares), but took a chance and got it this time and it was perfect. Great thin crust, perfectly cooked, and excellent flavor. It's also fortunate that Bricco is so close to our house! As pizza prices have gotten so expensive, Bricco is also great because they have three sizes whereas some places only have 18" pizzas that are almost $30. We also enjoyed their live music (Saturday night) while we were waiting for our pizza for take away. Next time we'll try some of the other Italian food, it also looked excellent while we were waiting. read more

We just did HH on Sunday the place was quiet before the dinner rush, Jennifer is great host we try the red Cab and and yummy white Chardonnay we did HH menu pasta as usual fresh pizza bread is delicious, it took some time to get serve but we where not in a rush is was worth the wait as usual will keep coming back for amazing taste and great Italian cuisine just like Nona's read more

This place is a the business and I am SO glad they didn't have to shut-down because of COVID. I don't normally go out of my way to eat somewhere, but definitely will for their pizza. I used to live in Laguna Niguel but now live 30 min away... drove out there tonight just for their pizza. Delicious as ever! read more

Great restaurant with a nice patio. I love their pizza. They have live music typically on Fridays and Saturdays. The last time we were there they had a great Elvis impersonator! My 5yo daughter loved it and was dancing with a bunch of older regulars! read more

Got a margarita pizza with pepperoni and it was flavorful. A bit too oily for me and salty. I liked the pizza but I just can't have too much oil. I recommend ordering from here. It just was not something I was able to eat and enjoy. read more

Everything that we ordered was delicious. We got the happy hour Caesar salad, 10" pepperoni pizza, calamari and Italian hot wings. The service was top notch. I wish I lived closer but if I'm ever in the are, I would definitely come back. read more

I hate to write negative reviews and I'm hoping they see this because I think it's fixable issue, but this is the second time we've left Bricco and felt super weird about how the staff had treated us. They were rude both times. The first time they acted like they couldn't be bothered to even put our name on a wait list so we left and tonight the service was super slow, they forgot our drinks, the music was way too loud and then we were asked to leave to turn the table! We had reservations at 6:00pm, we were there at 5:45pm- it was only 7:03pm when she asked us to leave. We didn't order alcohol so maybe they were annoyed with that? But we were the ones that had to ask for the bill because our server didn't return for quite a while and were actually about ready to leave- She made it very uncomfortable. If she had actually been more attentive we would have been out of there 15min sooner. They need to learn to respect the customers more and be a little more self aware. The food is good but this was off putting enough to probably not return. Bummer. read more

This place is special. I came here with my wife on a busy Saturday night. Couldn't have been more impressed with the restaurant. They had live music which set the mood. I had the spaghetti with giant meatball and my wife had a pizza with ham and cheese. I'd give it a ten out of ten. The food is absolutely fantastic, but I recommend saving room for the desserts. We had a bottle of the Pinot Grigio that was a perfect pairing for the pasta. The butter cake was fantastic! Service was attentive. The owner stopped by our table to make sure everything was great. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. This will be a regular go-to for us. Highly recommend. read more

Shared a meal with friends here a few months back. The inside reminded me of a mom and pop shop back in New York. I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs. I think you can always tell how legit an Italian place is by their meatballs and sauce. Are they moist? Are they flavorful and salty but not too much? Does the sauce stick to it? I answered yes to all of these at Bricco! It has a casual atmosphere. It's perfect for families and kids and the pizza that my husband ordered looked delicious. I've seen this place around for a while now but was finally able to stop in for the first time. first of all, service is top tier. Sara (or Sarah, sorry!) helped us and was AMAZING. she was very accommodating and talkative. definitely fostered an amazing experience. if the service wasn't enough, the food was incredible too. our pizza was perfect and the wine was to die for. the desserts were the perfect touch to end the night. We wanted to support a local business during the pandemic and hadn't tried Bricco before. Ordered online and walked to pick it up. Everything was beautifully prepared and the owner was there to greet us and (safely) hand the food over. And the food - just incredible! We're from NYC and this is the closest to New York pizza that you can get. We got a calzone - a perfect crust filled with delicious cheeses, Sicilian pizza - just the right amount of crust and cheese and oh my goodness the sauce!!! And the arugula pizza with salty prosciutto. So good we ate it all for breakfast the next day. Bravo, Bricco!! We'll be back, and can't wait to dine in when this is all over. read more

We decided to try Bistro K as we were in the area and the reviews, pictures and the menu looked good, plus we were in the mood for a good Italian meal. We were greeted at the door by Brittany, who sat us promptly and was actually our waiter. Brittany set the tone for the evening and carried it through to the end. Simply fabulous service and personality. She made us feel not just welcome, but a part of the family. But it wasn't just the service that was so special. We decided to start with a glass of wine. I ordered the Prisoner Red while my wife ordered the Sonoma Cutrer Chardonnay. And then the first hint of the forthcoming special culinary experience came. Their Focaccia bread. This bread, with a little cheese on top was supreme. Light, flavorful and the perfect start. We remarked that we could just drink wine and eat focaccia all evening! Next we split a Ceasar salad to start. It was fresh, crisp, with shavings of parmasean and a spot on Ceasar dressing. Next came our main course. I chose the Alaskan Halibut off their specials menu, however, rather than piccata sauce, I chose Brittany's recommendation to have it Alla Checca, with fresh tomatoes and basil. My wife chose the Chicken Piccata, because piccata sauce is a true test of any Italian restaurant. The halibut was perfectly prepared and a generous filet. Maybe the best halibut dish I've ever eaten. The tomato's and basil gave a nice acidic complement to the fish and the juice from the tomato's made the fish tender, flakey and moist. Served with perfectly prepared green beans and potato's. The chicken piccata was simply excellent, with just the right amount of lemon and perfect consistency. The chicken was perfectly pounded out and cooked. Also served with green beans and potato's. At this point, we thought we'd reached the peak, when Brittany brought out a giant slice of coconut cake and two decaf cappuccinos. OMG. This coconut cake should be illegal. To say it was great is an understatement. Light, full of flavor and coconut shavings. Simply phenomenal. Tina, the pastry chef, has it nailed on this cake. If you like coconut, you must try it. A++! If we could give a 6 stars on Yelp, we would. We feel it is under rated at 4.3. We are already planning our next visit to Bistro K, and can hardly wait.

This is a hidden gem. Ownership has changed a year and a half ago. It is family owned and operated, and yes the Owners are actually working in the kitchen and dining room. Everything on the menu is made fresh, from the pasta's, the sauces down to the salad dressings and desserts. They also have live entertainment/music on Fridays and Saturdays. The entertainers are top notch, American Idol caliber, and some actually are as well as performers in movies. You can see who is performing on their website and read their bio's. Reservations on these evenings are highly recommended, I would say they are a must. It is a small place, therefor it gets a bit loud inside making it difficult to have an intimate conversation, but they have a great outdoor heated tent with a speaker outside for those that want to have a good meal and with a full on conversation. This is a new go-to spot for my family. The food is absolutely incredible. It gives me a taste of home. (Chicago thin crust) I can honestly say this is the best pizza I have found so far in the Orange County area. We have never had a bad experience with the service. My wife, doggie and myself celebrated my birthday with dinner here tonight, seated in their comfortably heated, covered patio. All the food was very tasty and generously/cheerfully served. Calamari appetizer/house salad/fresh bread/shrimp linguine/lasagna/fresh-made warm pastry... Went to try this place out , Sunday night and it was busy! We had some pizza slices which were yummy - brick oven cooked, and chicken parm, also very good and some meatballs . Everything really tasted good , fresh and good quality. Great service too, the owner even made a point to come introduce himself and we had a nice chat. We will be back ! read more
