They said they had a waiting list for their "regular" customers. If they had told me that upfront I wouldn't have minded and I think their desire to not turn away business at any cost has just cost them a "regular" customer.

Come to find out that the Barrett family themselves are amazing individuals and very involved in our Community. They are gracious. Recently I had an issue with helping a family member going through stage 4 cancer and it ran our bill up. When the annual reevaluation came up I asked for some grace because it raised our bill. Long story short their amazing team worked with us for a full 10 months allowing us to wait and see what our monthly should be when our home went back to just being my husband and I. It was amazing. Thumbs way, way up! You cannot lose with this business.

I…read moreown the fact that I foolishly put myself on will call instead of monthly top off..but I also own that I am older and think in the past the excellent customer service folks would have checked on me in the 8 months since I last got propane. I thought I was still on top off. I was wrong. On Saturday I had a very strong odor of propane at my back door, a good way from the tank. I called thinking I had a leak. The emergency guy told me he was very busy and it would be 3 hours, I was to close the valve and if I felt unsafe I should leave. When my neighbor went to close the valve she said that it appeared the needle was pointing straight down so I was probably out of propane. I called the emergency guy back and he said he was legally required to respond because I said I might have a leak. Then a couple hours later he called me and rudely said he "looked me up" and it was my fault I ran out so he would be charging me 199 dollars. I told him I didn't have 199 dollars and he suddenly was no longer legally required to come out. I called Monday and talked to Therese who said with a $100 payment I could make payments on the balance and they would give me just 60 gals in the delivery which she said would be on Monday. Then Lisa the manager called, said she refused to send out a delivery Monday, they would be out Tuesday. I told her I would need to be called before they came because I had a doctor's appt and a neighbor would have to be there. She said he would. Today no call, 92 not 60 gals so bigger bill, and no hot water heater lit. Lisa..the mgr..informed me he "didn't get the message" about calling, she never agreed to 60 gals, refused to ask Theresa if she had made that agreement. When she confirmed driver did NOT light the water she informed me I still had plenty of pressure so I should still have hot water. I explained to her emergency guy told me to turn the valve off so the pilot was out. The delivery guy, if he turned the valve on he should have known it needed to be lit. Customer service used to be excellent. Not any more if Lisa is involved. This is likely the last tank I buy from Barrett.

used to be a family owned business and was fantastic. since the change of ownership, customer…read moreservice has been atrocious. the guys in the field are still great and some in the office but the new manager could care less and when they make a mistake and you ask for resolution...they just say they'll lock your tank, even though you already paid for the propane in it. considering a move. if they just moved one person, maybe it could go back to the great experience we used to have with them.

They were grossly overcharging us and we decided to switch providers to Amerigas as they offered a much better price. We have contacted Ferrell Gas over 30 times requesting for the tank to be removed and they keep feeding us lies about why they are unable to remove the tank "because it's going to cost their company too much"! Aside from going to the news and hiring an attorney, we are going to start with reviews! We will never do business or recommend Ferrell Gas again!

Suburban Propane bought out the company I was using and their service went well for a while. I am a senior citizen on a fixed income and have to budget my moneys. They did not notify of the increase and it hit me hard! I wrote this company a letter explaining that I wanted to discontinue service with them and to be reimbursed for the gas that I paid for that is still in the tank. They ignored it and keep sending me bills with more interest added on. They are more interested in $$$$$$$$$$$ than in customers needs or concerns. With the number of One Star rating that I see on the site, I think it would be in their best interest to look into new leadership and policies that are going to be more customer friendly.

No, really: their store, like every other ACE Hardware store, is supplied from the same regional warehouses as everyone else... so all of them have access to the same merchandise at the same price. The excuse for high prices "We have high costs of transportation due to our distance" is pure BRAVO SIERRA. The high prices, set by the franchise owner, are egregious. They have a policy that if you fill your propane tanks, you can dump your trailer's septic tank free of charge. I needed to add some water to the freshwater tank, by put the only hose was the same one that people used for flushing their septic tank dump hose. The propane guy stood talking with someone for over 40 minutes -- knowing that we were waiting for propane. We waited... very patiently. After RVs began blocking the right lane of 89, waiting to get in, I guess someone called the store, asking if someone could wake up the propane guy. Took about six minutes to fill our tanks, at almost twice the normal price. After walking around in the wet sewage from other RVs, I didn't think I'd ever wear those shoes again. The area is not at all maintained. Or cleaned. Wear disposable boots, or galoshes. Very narrow parking area for maneuvering a trailer, especially with light vehicles zipping around the parking lot, blissfully unaware that 52' of tow vehicle and trailer don't stop on a dime. For a place that does double-duty as a church on Sunday, they aren't very friendly or hospitable. I don't know what they're in business for. Neither do they.
