I've never had anything that wasn't delicious here. The drinks are amazing and the food is great. I usually like to try one of the weekly specials but I've ordered off the normal menu as well. The special burgers are so unique and a great combination of flavors. I've had the ahi tuna sandwich and the crispy duck sliders. Both are great. We always take our family here when they are visiting because we know it will be a great meal. There servers are all very friendly. I love the capone and Gatsby drink. The Old fashioned and whiskey sour are also good options. They don't take reservations so you usually have to wait a little bit before being seated but it is worth the wait. read more

Went there to grab a table outside. We waited at the bar inside. Nice vibe to the place, with a cool bar with a seemingly good selection of beer, whiskey, and cocktails. Nice pizza oven too. We moved outside to our table and ordered Fried Pickles, Confit Wings, and Spinach Calamari. The pickles with a chili aioli were decent. The wings were awful. They were chalky, and the meat was dry and mushy - just not good at all. The Calamari on a bed of spinach, on the other hand, was quite good. The calamari were tender, the spinach fresh, and just the right amount of dressing. The wing and pickle portions were huge. I guess it matches the price ($11 and $8). But it would be nice to have smaller portion options. Although I wouldn't order the wings again. We also ordered a short rib pizza. It would have been pretty good, except it was way too sweet. I think the caramelized onions were the culprit. Had to put some chili flakes to mask the sweetness. I think one's experience here will depend on what they order. There may be hits, but also a lot of misses on the menu it seems. I don't think a gastropub is a proper description for Brick and Brew. But it could be a cool hangout and has potential. read more

Our order took an hour and a half to get. The pizza's were half burnt half almost cooked cold and the size of my hand that hardly had any ingredients on it. Oh and it cost $11. Plus we were told "take out" had priority over people waiting at the tables. Also a friend got a beet salad that had one slice of beet and 8 pieces of lettuce that didn't fill have of the plate. And two of the pies came out 20 minutes before the 3rd. Its also very tight and crowded. The only positive was the waiter was very nice and kept checking on us and apologizing. We were there last night for the first time. Service was very good. The selection of beers is good and even a better selection of whiskeys. The pizza was a bit undercooked for it being wood fired but we enjoyed it anyway. Next time we will order it well done. You'll likely have a wait, but it's worth it. The bar staff take care of you at their busiest times, and those sitting at the bar tend to move over for you so you can get close to order. I'm a beer guy so their craft beer list is usually where I land, but they have a boat load of whiskies and their cocktails are incredible. We've never had a menu item because the specials are so insanely tempting and satisfying. We take people here when they visit out of town and everyone is always happy and full. read more

Hands down one of the coziest spots in Havertown and surrounding areas. The atmosphere sets the stage at this restaurant. Although, it is small, don't be fooled by the large selections. I enjoyed the fall off the bone garlic parm chicken wings that were on the special menu. They were hands down the best chicken wings I've had in a while. I also enjoyed the beet salad. It was a great touch go the wings. My cousin has the roundup sliders. They were out of this world and let's not forget the crispy fries. In the center of the table is a homemade bbq sauce. Just got home from having two good pizzas, cold beer, and great service. I had read all the reviews, so I was a bit apprehensive, but although the pizzas might be on the pricy side, both the chicken and long jots and the sausage and egg were worth the price! I think beer prices could be reduced a bit; more than The Oakmont Pub and the Great American Pub. 5 bucks a pint would be fine. I didn't like the bar/ bar stools; it didn't go with the rest of the interior. Cross Bar does better with this. I do love the service, the five buck bloody Mary's on Sunday, the welcoming service. The toilet could have been cleaner, especially by the bottom; scary to think how it is during busy times. Seems like a good place to take the kids. Definitely worth going back to; please list the prices of mixed drinks on the menu board. read more

I called to take out and was informed that they don't do take out on the weekends-WHY??????? They only do take out Sun-Thursday. I also asked if they were busy and the Guy on the phone said yes, they were crowded, so even if we did go there would be no tables available and a wait and though they have outdoor tables they get packed AND it's raining. By not having a Take out/Pick up Option they are eliminating customers who want the convenience of take out. I guess they do well enough that they could care less. I am local in Havertown and this would have been our first time experiencing their food, they are losing potentially repeat customers. VERY dissapointing!! read more

Great experience from start to finish, can't wait to go back :) Literally, from the minute we stepped to the front door, we received nothing but great service & great energy. Everyone was so attentive and nice to my date and I. The place was jam packed but we didn't have to wait too long for seating. We settled for seats at the pizza bar near the air conditioner. It was pretty cold, but it wasn't a huge deal. The two guys at the pizza station? AMAZING. So polite and attentive. So passionate about their dishes. Our server, Jessica, she was lovely. Every single employee we came across was so warm and inviting to us. Like they totally cared about our experience and it showed. The whiskey sour was delicious, the flatbread with shrimp and eggplant was delicious, my po' boy sandwich was good but I was so stuffed I could hardly eat it! My date had the parm wings. They had a 'different' sort of texture because we were told they are cooked specially but they had a good taste. Would like to try a different type of wing next time. The fried cheesecake was tasty also. My absolute fave was the flatbread though. Can't wait to try that again. There were sooo many good options on that menu, Im sure we couldn't go wrong. Overall, we had the best time here. We went to B&B as my idea to cheer my date up, and the stars aligned us perfectly here. Our experience was everything I planned and more. Not really big enough to seat a family comfortably, as the quarters were very tight. But perfect for dates and a girls/guys night out. My date loved the beer selection too, and he's really into beer. This is our favorite neighborhood bar to grab drinks after work. The bar area is very small and it is even hard to stand around the bar because of spacing. But the drinks are always well made and they have a nice selection of beers. A very unique menu! From the reviews, I expected to walk into a crowded environment even during a work night. That was farthest from what we saw when we walked in... We were able to get two seats at the bar and chose to stay there for the rest of our experience. We spoke to the bartender and he went over the specials and pointed them out on the respective boards. He was also very honest and said it's a work in progress to update them. I wasn't going to let non filled chalkboard specials ruin the night. The bartender gave the information and he was willing to go over them again if we wanted him too. They had a nice simple menu along with a nice variety of draft beer, add onto the fact that if you wanted other types of drinks it was there for the tasting. We chose to order the crab dip and the prosciutto fries and both of them were very tasty. For our main course we chose to share the Four Cheese Pizza and that was very good too. If was to be picky, I would say to leave it in for an extra 15 seconds to create a crispier crust. But overall, I would order all three again. From the reviews that I read, the one thing I would agree with is how Brick and Brew presents itself. I 100% agree that they are a GastroPub. In stating that, put it on the menu, a sign, on the internet etc... I know re-branding and adding things to signs, menu's the costs can add up. Overall we will be going back. If you want fast food, don't go there, it's a nice environment, enjoy it and just have fun. read more

I came to Brick and Brew with some friends last minute on a Friday night. It was delicious! The atmosphere was awesome, the drink selection was fantastic (although the mixed drinks were a bit pricey) and the food was sooo tasty. There was a bit of a wait but it was absolutely no problem because the bar is great and it was nice to pass time enjoying a beer. Our server was very attentive and the menu was way more extensive than I was expecting. The food was also really unique and flavorful and felt like great quality, at a reasonable price. I can't say enough good things about this place. Oh yeah, I can say one more... The booth was possibly the most comfortable booth bench I've ever sat it! I will definitely be back. It provides a great dining experience, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice restaurant to dine. Brick and Brew opened its first location in Havertown to the realization that the location wasn't quite large enough to seat the crowds of ravenous customers. There is often a wait when you walk in, but the kind wait staff attempt to seat you as soon as possible. If you've brought a well mannered dog, Brick and Brew has multiple outdoor tables for you and your furry friend to dine at. Inside, you can choose to be seated at the high tops, booths, bar, or the pizza bar, where you can watch the variety of pizzas being made. The restaurant is decorated in a rustic style, with a lot of wood decor, including a wooden American flag. There isn't much standing room, so it gets tightly packed easily once there is a wait. A single restroom is available, which is appropriate for the size of the restaurant, but once again underestimating the popularity.     Once you are seated, you have a large selection of scrumptious appetizers and entrees, appropriate for a big meal or simply a snack. The food ranged from pretzels and flatbreads to burgers and pizzas, all custom made to suit the customer's needs. This also means that every menu item is fresh out of the oven so you don't have to eat anything at less than the perfect temperature. When I last went and ordered a margherita pizza, it was baked to perfection. It was a flawless combination of cheese, sauce, and crust, and I would recommend it to anyone looking to dine at Brick and Brew. The burgers are also excellent, and they have salads and sandwiches for vegetarians and vegans. The desserts are all showstoppers, including items such as fried cheesecake and a chocolate chip hazelnut cookie a la mode, both of which are dishes made in heaven. Not the largest of spaces, this joint is a treat to visit! The interior is unique and had my eyes constantly gazing around at all of the fun decorations. I have yet to visit when they weren't packed (a sign of good business), but it may be difficult to find a table...also, kind of loud. The bar's options are nothing to complain about - plenty of beer, liquor, and great drink specials! The food is especially tasty and reasonably priced! We came here for lunch on Saturday. Our server was friendly and very informative. I loved how after we had told him we'd never dined there he took the liberty of introducing us to the menu and telling us his favorites. I got the "Award Winning" whiskey sour and it was DELICIOUS. All the juices are freshly squeezed and mixers are made in-house. I'm pretty sure the cherries were soaked in-house, too. I can see why it's award winning, and at this point I don't even care which sanctioning body did the awarding. It was deserved! The drinks really were the best part of our meal. The food was decent, but not exceptional, as is the case with the drinks. I ordered the Crab PLT and it was tasty. I wish the ciabatta bread had a little more body and texture, but the crab tasted fresh and as a whole, the sandwich went down easily. The fries were really, really good, too. read more

Seriously one of my favorite pubs ever. Fantastic, knowledgeable staff and some of the best "bar" food I've ever had in my life. Start with the provolone and prosciutto fries, yes they're amazing. I could probably eat them as a meal. The sandwiches are great, but the menu could use some sharpening. Nothing is marked as being spicy, but everything that we had...it had a little kick to it. We had the prosciutto fries which were outstanding, and more than enough for 2 people. Then I had the pork belly sliders and my girlfriend had the buttermilk fried chicken sandwich. Both very good, but we couldn't finish because we were too full from the fries. We sat at the pizza bar, where the chef was very friendly. Service as a whole was excellent...quick and attentive. Food here is decent for Havertown. The place is just too small. It was less of a headache in the summer when they had outdoor seating and a place for people to wait. Stay away from this place on the weekends and stick to off peak hours to really enjoy yourself. Considering how busy it's been the several times I've been there, the staff is very attentive and friendly. Let's face it, if this place was in the city it would be nothing special. But the quality of the food and beer selection work for Delco. Do yourself a favor and sit at the back bar in front of the brick oven and chat with the pizza cooks if they aren't too busy. read more
