The sauce is meant to accentuate, not drown the cauliflower. My opinion. Great flavor. Pork belly burnt ends served atop cheesy grits, sliced hot peppers and a fried egg. My opinion was that there was too much grits. Pork belly was hidden in the grits. . Otherwise very good flavor. Blackened Mahi-mahi Bibb lettuce wraps. Excellent fish flavor was not driven by blackening seasoning. Light aioli. Sweet slaw. Bibb lettuce instead of tortilla. Loved it. Grilled portabello w/arugula, roasted red peppers, avocado salsa and goat cheese spread. Didn't taste, but great presentation. Served with housemade potato chips that were a tad soggy. I live close and decided to go here for a Saturday night dinner. Party of 2 got in within 10 mins! Server was sweet and YALL. the food was SO GOOD. What a surprisingly nice afternoon in Media. Nice outdoor seating and a spacious interior. Nice laid back family bar sort of vibe going. Everything on the menu is pretty standard but with a random twist to it. The fried pickles are cut differently and in long strands which was nice and provided much more crispy fried sections which was a nice surprise. The pulled pork appetizer came on nice grilled slices of pineapples which was a cool take on Al Pastor pork. Then we had the fish tacos which were wrapped in lettuce instead of tortillas which again was a great fresh twist on a normal food. Extensive beer menu, although many things had already kicked by lunch time. Service was quick. Servers were nice. There was a bit of a wait but theres some random seating areas outside. Only giving two stars because the atmosphere and roof top deck are good. One of the many subpar main line restaurants The menu has changed. But is still terrible. The (Sysco truck) short rib grilled cheese is horrible. The meat is flavourless watery slop possibly from a rotting zombie cow. The grilled cheese fraction was sopping with grease. My daughters cheese burger was served blue rare. Returned and it came back bloody rare again. Also had the cheese pizzz. The sauce tasted like rancid Ragu. So basically, I recommend just going for a beer and maybe some fries I'd prefer a cocktail, but the pour is so small it's insulting. Seems that Jake Tapper has single handedly destroyed the bar experience with his piece of crap 1.5 ounce money grab drinks. Go across the street to Burrata. Brick and Brew caught my attention one day when I drove past it. The restaurant looks very nice and has a nice environment. The food was okay for the price. Order their weekly special Sriracha Coconut Wings. The flavor honestly wasn't there and you only get 6 wings for 16.50, which is pretty expensive, in my opinion for average tasting wings. However, the dish that saved my appetite was the Pei Mussels. These mussels are very flavorful. I just wish they were bigger! 4 stars out of 5, I definitely will come back and try other dishes on their menu. read more

I loved my meal. My wife loved hers. She hated my choice when I gave her a taste. To each their own. It's nicer than a sports bar atmosphere. It's almost upscale but still casual and it's a huge space. The food was still just as excellent as in their previous location. The service was good. It's a good date night place, but not super fancy if you're trying to impress someone romantically. I think it's family friendly but maybe not great for small children. It's kinda pricey for the atmosphere but the food quality justified the price imho. I would recommend. The only real downside is the lack of parking. read more

I've gone here often in the past, and I must say from the handful of experiences which I have enjoyed, I've always felt unwelcome by the management and staff. In this, contemporary yet modern gastropub. Comfort food and fusion-fare dishes, with Brick & Brew's impressive plethora of extensive listings of whiskeys and rotating draft taps. Hopefully management and ownership adjust their views to make guests feel welcome and happy to be dining there. My daughter and I have been wanting to visit Brick and Brew in Havertown for a couple of years, but the wait has always been so long. Now we know why! We ate lunch there yesterday on their outdoor seating and all of the tables were covered by either a large tent or an umbrella, were cleaned and sanitized after each table left after their meal, and all staff wore face masks. We were greeted by a friendly hostess and then a friendly server. When we looked through the menu, there were so many awesome looking choices that it was tough to decide. We decided to start with the Crab and Crawfish Bites as an appetizer and then split the Peach & Burrata Pizza. The Crab and Crawfish Bites were the perfect appetizer that were chock full of crab and chunks of crawfish. The bites were perfectly browned on the tops and bottoms and were delicious to the last bite. The black garlic tartar sauce drizzled on the top along with the micro greens had us wishing we had more. The Peach & Burrata Pizza was perfectly baked in Brick and Brew's brick ovens. The pizza crust was thin, but not cracker thin and still had a nice chew to the crust. The toppings were all super fresh with each one creating a delicious bite. The pizza featured sliced fresh peaches, dollops of riccotta cheese, smoked mozzarella, and arugula with a herbed balsamic glaze...WOW! The pizza was so delicious and the couple of leftover slices reheated nicely in our oven. I'm glad we finally got the chance to eat at Brick and Brew of Havertown and we'll definitely be back again to try some of their other creative items on their menu! read more

I have been here many times without a review. Take a step back from the road and look at the exterior of the building and you'll notice that it is located inside of an old fire station. Most people might not even notice it, but the exterior stonework is beautiful. For appetizers, went with the deviled eggs, not to use too much hyperbole, but the deviled eggs are about the best I've had anyplace. I get it, how many places actually have deviled eggs, but compare them to your grandmothers and this will blow you away. Likewise, had the fried pickles. They thinly slice pickles, bread them, and fry them, which is so much better than the more traditional bread and butter pickles that are thick cut and covered that simply fall apart. There is a spicy dipping sauce that comes along with it. Both were hits with our table. One of the entrées tonight was the Parma pizza, this is a common order item for us when we are out. Again, this pizza with prosciutto, arugula, and Parmesan cheese really did hold up well against others we've had in other places. In fact I would say it was above par by quite a bit. We also tried a Wonka burger. Which was a burger that had a doughnut for a bun, had a fried egg, and chocolate covered spicy bacon. It was an interesting gimmick, I think it was fairly well liked, but not something anybody would get multiple times for obvious reasons. Overall very good. From an atmosphere standpoint, this restaurant when I have been there, is always very crowded. To me that's a positive, that means that people want to be there. In the winter time, when it is cold outside, the restaurant is always very warm. I mention this because so many times I go to places where the restaurant is cold because people are constantly opening the door. One thing to note for sure, it gets quite loud. Even when sitting at a booth it is often times very difficult to hear the person across from you. Again, it's a fun loud, because people are having fun but it is quite noisy. read more

Grab an early dinner on a Saturday and got seats immediately. The service is friendly and food was great. Ordered some drinks and both the Strawberry Fields and Just Peachy were really good. I've gone to the B&B in Havertown numerous times, primarily because I enjoy their cocktails. This last time, the cocktail I had was the only reason I'm offering two stars. It was slow for a Friday night. Even so, after being seated, our party of three waited a full hour for our meal--two were delivered to the table while the third was no where to be seen. As far as I could tell, there was a single waitress for the entire lower floor. When I tracked her down, she informed the manager who apologized and personally delivered my food. The kitchen, he said, was backed up, which I thought was odd since half the tables were empty. Then I recognized the manager as the same guy I saw standing in the corner on his phone for about 20 minutes. If you are short-staffed and your kitchen is backed up, then, as the manager, I would think you'd pitch in and help. Take an order. Deliver an order. Make the rounds to the tables. Do something to help the situation. I got comped for my greasy burger and cold fries, but I found the manager's lack of managerial skill "distasteful." I won't be back. read more

In various visits, I've sampled their Whipped Ricotta (with local honey and garlic toast), the Fried Pickles, the Wedge salad, the Short Rib Grilled Cheese, the flatbreads, and more. A shout-out for quite possibly the best Wedge salad I've ever had. And the Whipped Ricotta was fabulous and I'm here to tell you that B&B does NOT skimp on the portions. I don't believe that the Caramel Beignets are REAL beignets (fried pizza dough perhaps), but it hardly made a difference -- they were fabulous and quickly devoured. Too noisy for great conversation but the food and great service more than makes up for it. read more

This review is mostly for the food. They have a very large drink menu and you are sure to find something you like. I never did like the taste of alcohol beyond lime Jell-O shots so I got a coke. Sorry. Anyway, I arrived at Brick and Brew at approximately 3 minutes after opening. We were the first people there but it did not take long to fill up. It's pretty tight in there but I hear that they are moving to a bigger location nearby soon. It is beautifully decorated. 5 out of 5 for decor and atmosphere. I really felt connected to the community there. When it comes to the food I had to knock off two stars. Ideally I would have given 3.5 but I can't and I round down. Sorry again. We ordered the buffalo mac n cheese, Wild Boar sliders, and a classic pepperoni pizza. The buffalo Mac n cheese was good. The buffalo sauce portion was extremely good. It made me regret not ordering wings. The wild boar sliders were yummy and the fries were okay but not good enough to eat without ketchup. I really did not like their house-made ketchup. I'm pretty sure it was a booze based ketchup...unique...my husband liked it but this girl wanted some Heinz, Hunts, or even some no-brand "fancy" ketchup. Just regular tomato ketchup. That irked me enough to not even eat the fries. The pepperoni pizza was rather soggy and I'm the weirdo that likes a slightly undercooked pizza. This pizza needed a little more time and SALT. It was pretty bland. I should have tried something more original to Brick and Brew but in my opinion, even the most basic of flavors should blow me away. This didn't. I may visit again after they get settled in their new home. I'd like to try their wings and that famous whiskey sour. Maybe it will win me over. Or maybe I'll stick with my green stuff. read more

I was not impressed. Overall the restaurant is average. The Octopus was rubbery and undercooked and unfortunately it included sausage and beans with it. The Mahi-Mahi Lettuce wrapped Tacos were fresh but lacked flavor. The Deviled eggs with Shrimp were okay. The drinks were really good. And it seems the Chicken Sandwich and the chicken wings are what's really good here. I would recommend those items. The restaurant is quite small but with pretty decor and a quiet suburban vibe. Stopped by here for the first time while I was in town visiting friends. We came in around 7:30 and upon driving past, it was visibly crowded. Looked to be some people waiting outside, and the few tables outside that were available were all full. We parked on the road across the street and walked over. I'm unsure if we just timed our arrival perfectly or what, because despite the crowd, we were immediately seated (party of 3). The inside of the place is definitely a tight squeeze. Two bars with seating and couple tables against the wall. It's not an ambiance for those who like something mellow and quiet. When we sat down, we had to ask for our seats to be wiped down because there were glass shards on them and a big chunk of glass as well on them. We're unsure where this glass even came from. The woman that helped us looked kind of confused when we said what was on our seats (??). Everyone in my party ordered a pizza of some sort. I had the four cheese pizza, another had the margherita, and the third had the short rib. The pizzas are a good size for one person. They're oven fired and thin crust, so aren't they won't leave you feeling overly stuffed. Everyone felt like their pizza was good and would order it again if I went back. Recently visited the new 'Oakmont' location on Eagle Road and here are a few thoughts: -Service: pleasant and attentive -Beer Selection and Cocktails: top notch as always (whiskey sour went from 3 cherries to 1) -Thai Curry Mussels: good broth flavor but extremely thick compared to the pics shared on FB which doesn't necessarily work for a dish like this, quantity and quality of mussels was lacking with many of them basically disintegrated in the shell -Summer Brisket: good sandwich and welcomed addition to the menu, brisket was moist and flavorful, although seemed to be too much bread for the amount of beef -Burrata Salad: fresh, flavorful, and delicious Overall, a good experience, but we did notice a slight decrease in overall quality of food items. read more
