We are traveling from out of town and spotted an outside food stand advertising gyros. As we love Mediterranean food we thought we'd give it a shot and we are glad we did. They were excellent. The lamb was tender and seasoned well. The pita bread was soft and pillowy and delicious. And it had just the right amount of feta cheese, onion, and lettuce. They told us the restaurant was being renovated after a small fire but they wanted to keep their customers satisfied til they reopen the restaurant. Go visit these guys. Delicious!! read more

It's really hard to find Middle Eastern food in small US towns, let alone GOOD Middle Eastern food. This restaurant certainly transports you to far away lands with great spices and flavors. The menu has a good variety including all the staples like, falafel, baba ghanoush, yogurt sauce, etc. My family of 3 ordered all these as appetizers and they did not dissapoint. I also ordered the Kabsa: gyro meat (or chicken) mixed with grilled yellow squash slices and potato slices atop a bed of jasmine rice. It comes with a kicked up tzaziki sauce that is to die for. Great food. They have the best Gyro in MO (and I have tried many of them) and the staff is always so nice. They also have really good falafel and hummus. All made from scratch. The only down side is the place is small and they never seem to have enough people working. well went in this week ordered a gyro salad with meat surprise no meat the gal said she was alone and it would take about 20 min okay no worries. well it was not as good as it was before, and she forgot the meat didn't ck my order went home called back, said I was coming back order wrong Of course I went in all pissy, I have to drive back over 4 miles it was 7:30pm So the guy at the counter told me to not be so mad at his establishment WHAT all of a sudden, got back, 3 people there (she did ask me my order like 3 times and still screwed it up) he reprimanded me twice Bad idea for a New Yorker I told him to remake it, he said well just relax, they raised the prices not sure if this guy was the owner or not but who cares DIDNT appologize so see ya for $8.55 I can go to Arbys get the meat on a sandwiches to take it home add some olives greek dressing and get pita and still have a better sandwich I think they are going to diffently not going to do so well I had some other people not be so impressed and not to mention IM wrong Right....not read more

I travel a lot for work and usually just hit up a chain sandwich shop for lunch because they are safe. I saw the sign on the building that said Gyros though and it sounded good. Getting into the place is rough, their driveway needs replaced but once inside it was quaint. It's a no frills place but I ordered the loaded gyro and it didn't disappoint. Delicious and quick. We have been going here for about a year. The food is always tasty and prepared correctly. I have been to Greece many times and appreciate good Greek food when I can get it. This place is it! I too will drive 25 min one way to eat here. Pretty bare bones inside, but worth it all once you get your meal. Usually the wait is fairly lengthy. I went back on 7/6/14 to try it again!! I can say the staff was much friendlier than my past visit. I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door and when I left!! The food was delicious as always!! My only gripes was on Sunday's there are no hours posted on the door (yet they were open) and they should have someone cleaning tables as people leave!! Brickfront is great because it is locally owned and brings intriguing, cultural flavor to an otherwise burger & fries kind of town. However on principle of menu planning, the same five ingredients seem to be featured: gyro meat, iceberg lettuce, feta, vinaigrette and pita bread. This is what they do pretty well. I have tried menu items that do not contain gyro ingredients and they are not so good (ie: cashew chicken panini). I would like to see more local produce used, and more vegetarian options - we have a great farmer's market less than a mile away. I will say that the dessert case seems varied; I wish this would translate to entrees.
