Went there with some friends from Bristol, as this is not on the main commercial drag. It's about 4-5 blocks away. In early 2021, the building housing Brick Pizza Co., fronting Wood Street at Unity Park, was about as rough as a building can be: crumbling concrete floors, no roof, entirely open to the elements. Today, that's a distant memory. The restaurant opened in January of 2022 and the renovation job was flawless. The team used reclaimed wood from the old roof of the original building for all the tables and the bar. Each table is an original work of art. Sixty-five tables, all with three to four layers of two-part epoxy. The walls are decorated with reproductions of original photos from the early 20th Century showing Unity Park in the old days, when it was the site of the U.S. Rubber factory. The brick oven, sited in the open kitchen that takes up much of the north side of the dining room is a Marra Forni; the stone was imported from Italy, and the oven itself was manufactured in Maryland then transported to Bristol. It's capable of reaching temperatures of 1000 degrees, but Brick cooks their pizzas at 695 degrees, a temperature that finishes a pizza in under two minutes. Our Caprese pizza was delicious. Fresh ingredients tasted very fresh. The pizza crust itself was not too crispy, I wish it would had been toastier, crisper. The wings were nice, but on the small side...the dry rub was nice and the sauce on the side, allowed us to make it as saucy as we wanted. The pasta dishes were good, nothing to write home about. This was our second and last visit to this restaurant. There is no real ambiance. It's big wide open and environmentally cold. The food was lacking in all manners of speaking. We ordered garlic knots which were undercooked and bland, the marinara was good it was the only good thing. We ordered Cesar salads which were never delivered despite two reminders to our waitress. The special of the day pizza A butternut squash and balsamic glaze fig was ordered. The crust was burnt as was the underside when questioned if this was normal the waitress explained all their pizzas are brick oven and look that way. Yet as we saw the two pizzas delivered at the table beside us were not at all burnt which I pointed out to our waitress she was completely indifferent. We canceled the salads and had them removed from our invoice. I'm not sure most have salad as dessert. overall this experience was lacking any appeal. I was torn between 2 and 3 stars on this one. I went with 3 because nothing was egregiously bad, but it was a meal where I'll forget about it as soon as I'm done typing. The atmosphere is nice, but so loud you can barely have a conversation. We ordered BBQ wings and garlic knots. The wings had almost no flavor and 6/$14. The garlic knots were essentially dough balls with a hint of garlic, not the drenched in garlic NY kind I love. My friend ordered soup as his entree and I got a salad. His came out quite a while before mine, but he did wait a long time for a spoon. The salad tasted like dressing and not much else. The passion fruit martini was the highlight. Didn't know this place existed in Bristol until recently. The interior and ambiance are nice--plenty of seating inside. There's a bar and dining area. Got the Buffalo chicken, pepperoni, cheese and Bristol pizzas. The Buffalo chicken pizza is a bit spicy initially, though you get used to it later on. We liked the pepperoni pizza out of all of them. The cheese pizza was a bit too "cheesy," The Bristol pizza felt like a spicier version of the pepperoni pizza. I would recommend getting the wings, as they are pretty good. The spicy wings are true to their name and have some kick. The bbq wings are pretty good as well. Overall good experience. read more

I used open table to reserve what I thought was a restaurant table but was instead the trivia room- be advised! While I wasn't expecting to play trivia and alas couldn't stay for the whole thing- it was really fun and a good option if you're looking for mid-difficulty trivia in a pleasant spot. The room is not part of the restaurant and looks kind of industrial. It was really cold. But the main restaurant was bustling and noisy and the event space was much better noise-wise. All the food came out quickly and there's a bar set up in the event room. I imagine it's a good space to rent. Lots of options on the menu from typical Italian entres to apps. Loved all the food we ate, particularly the squash soup and beet salad. The chicken parm was a little too chewy for my taste, though. The bathrooms were clean with several stalls and a handicap stall. Overall, this is a good bet for access with no steps anywhere and tables far apart in the event room. Had dinner at Brick last night. The lowlights - -my wife's chicken soup was insipid - our arancini app was mushy - We ordered a Margherita pizza to split and it sucked. Really the worst pizza I've ever paid $18 for. Crust was doughy and undercooked, mozzarella rubbery, a very few unripe tomatoes were scattered over the mess along with a few grams of finely shredded basil. No "parmesan" (really?) as indicated on the menu. Really just laughably awful. RI is full of great pizza places and this is NOT one of them. Needless to say, we won't be back. read more

Made a reservation for lunch today when visiting family in the area. Everything from start to finish was nothing short of amazing. The staff was incredibly nice, the environment is gorgeous, and to say the food is delicious is an understatement. The menu is not large, but what they create, they make really, really well. We were a party of 4 for lunch. Michael was our waiter. He greeted us right away and took our drink orders. They came fairly quickly. The food itself took a little time, but was so fresh. While we were waiting, we asked what the building was before they opened and we got a nice little history of the building/mills. One person in our party ordered the pizza special - a reuben with sauerkraut and corned beef. Another ordered pepperoni. It was unanimous that this was the best pizza any of us had ever had. It was cooked perfectly, the sauce was so, so good - not too sweet or too acidic. The crust was soft and doughy, but thin, so it wasn't too much crust. Seasoned with just the right amount of oregano to not overpower. I had the carbonara, which was excellent as well. The only thing I did not love was the salad, not because it was not good, but because it was pre-dressed (and a little soggy) and that's just not my preference. We all shared some BBQ dry-rubbed wings. The dill crema was what made them, honestly. As far as wings go, they were crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, the way wings should be. Great local craft beer selection. The cocktails were unique and flavorful. I cannot say enough good things about this place and would drive 2 hours just to come back for lunch. I have been wanting to try Brick for a while now and I'm very glad I did. Brick is located in Unity Park, which also has a brewery, distillery, coffee shop and vegan restaurant. It's a great place to go if you are in Bristol. Brick is a really nice restaurant, I love the atmosphere. Great place to get drinks or food. All the food we got was delicious and their specialty pizza was great! We ordered the Italian sub pizza, burrata, wings, meatballs and ROASTED PORK PAPPARDELLE. The ROASTED PORK PAPPARDELLE is slow roasted pork shoulder, tomato, mirepoix, pappardelle pasta, pecorino romano, baby arugula, fried parsley. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone in the Bristol area! read more

We've been here a lot of times and usually really love it but the last few times we've been has been just sub par. The chicken cutlet sandwich the last time I went was oiley as can be. Everyone else enjoyed their meals, and I made do with a slice of others pizza. Today, our pizza was seriosly undercooked. It was so undercooked we picked it up and all of the topping sloshed off and everything fell apart. We would've sent it back but we were starving and it was busy so our server didn't come back to ask how it was in time for us to send it back. We barely ate the pizza unfortunately. We are so happy we chose Brick Pizza Co. to host our wedding welcome party. It truly kicked off our wedding weekend on a very positive note! We had eaten at the restaurant a couple of times during wedding planning and really loved the food, and when we learned about the Stone Room, we knew this was the place. After some initial communication gaps with a former employee, we eventually connected with Jeffrey from East Bay Restaurant Group and General Manager of the restaurant. Jeffrey truly took care of us the rest of the way and was responsive to our questions and adjustments as we planned the event. We got lucky with some beautiful August weather and were able to utilize the private patio for a great indoor-outdoor flow. The Stone Room truly felt private and like it was our venue alone, which was great. We had several helpful consultation calls with Jeffrey, but we were still worried that we had over-ordered food; however, people loved it so much we actually added 10+ additional pizzas before the end of the night (by the way, the salads are huge - just get one for every 75 people). Everything was set up as we requested, the bartenders were friendly and responsive, the staff kept silverware, flatware, and napkins stocked and tables clean throughout. The team also already had votive candles which they put out and lit for us--we only put out some grocery store flowers in bud vases and the space looked great. We had considered putting decor in the windowsills and were glad in the end that we did not--throughout the night we had guests talking to each other through the windows, which made the space feel very cohesive. The only minor complaint we had was that we couldn't get the cell phone connection working for our music playlist. Taking care of the bill was extremely easy and straightforward at the end of the night, with no surprise fees or restrictions (including a straightforward and well-communicated tipping policy). 10/10 would recommend Brick Pizza Co. and the Stone Room for your events as well as a meal with friends and family! The pizza was excellent! Nice and crispy with a hint of slightly burnt crust and perfectly melted cheese. The drink selections were populated with local breweries and distilleries and were delicious as well. Went for the food / ambience- Unfortunately the food was "Meh" and nothing to brag about. Caesar salad was just Romain lettuce and store bought Parmesan cheese (like the kind in the plastic bottle on the shelf and not fresh from the refrigerated section of the grocery store). Had to ask for the dressing which was brought in a side cup. No offer to take it back and actually add / toss the salad with the dressing. Pizza was ok from what everyone else said. However being asked to leave the restaurant because "we have other people waiting in line for a table" was the "nail in the coffin" so to speak. There were plenty of empty tables, with 3 people at front and 5 at the back entrance. If it was Valetine's Day, would totally understand being mindful of limited reservation time. But being asked to leave the restaurant on a random Saturday night in March?!? After paying over $200 for 4 people (two pizzas, one salad and drinks) ...While the ambience was good and the setting a nice rustic brick building of bygone days, highly unlikely we'll go back and would give the same review in person for anyone considering going here. read more

This is a gorgeous industrial style building - open and airy with huge overhead doors, exposed brick and high open ceilings. The style was a cool vibe. We were greeted quickly and seated. Tuesday lunch crowd was light. Got a couple of cold drinks and ordered the meatball appetizer. The sauce was good and slightly spicy in the best way. The herbed ricotta was nicely piped on the place and was smooth and creamy. The meatballs though, were dry and crumbly. Not inedible, but add an egg or soak your crumbs in milk so these are a bit more tender. They were disappointing. We ordered a cheese pizza, nothing fancy, just looking forward to that high heat crunch. This could have been an easy win, but the crust was limp and there was way too much cheese; yes this is entirely possible. Again, not inedible, but could have been so much better with another minute in the oven and 50% less cheese. Seems like a pretty new place, so hopefully they can work out the small stuff. Three of us ate here tonight but I was the only newbie! The restaurant, as its name suggests, is all brick as are their pizza ovens. It is a huge well laid out restaurant with plenty of room and a friendly, well trained staff. We had reserved a table which was ready when we arrived. Being that Bristol, RI has many Portuguese residents, I ordered the Bristol pizza which features native chourico while my dining companions had a Buffalo chicken pizza and the Bucatini and clams that features native littlenecks. According to the person who ordered it was not overly garlicky like at many other restaurants. So while the Bristol was not the absolute best pizza I have ever eaten, it was varsity caliber thanks to a crisp yet chewy crust and very fresh toppings. My overall assessment: 4.5 stars ~ worth a visit! read more

My wife and I have been here many times since it opened and in general, we are delighted with this restaurant. The food is almost always excellent and the service is always friendly and helpful. It was no different on this occasion. One thing I noticed on this visit, however, was the 3% service fee for kitchen staff. This may have been in place for a while but I only noticed it now. What annoys me about it is that it basically amounts to an extra tip for kitchen staff. In general kitchen staff are meant to be paid well enough so they don't have to depend on tips, unlike service staff. I am not at all comfortable with this move; it's the only restaurant I'm aware of that is doing this. read more

Ambiance: 80% the inside of this building is beautiful. It is large and spacious. You can see the kitchen staff making the pizza and can tell the restaurant is really clean. I did go into the women's bathroom and there were no paper towels. Food: 100% we love the pizza. It's fun to choose many for the table and eat family style. This is one of our favorite restaurants to entertain at. Some favorites: Mushroom pizza, chicken bacon ranch and the wings (ask about the wings of the day) Service: the wait staff at the tables are usually great. I wanted so much to love this place. The space is just beautiful and I remarked to my dining companion about how I couldn't wait to tell family members and friends about it. While we enjoyed the food, though our pizza was a tad undercooked, the service was lacking. It was unfriendly and our server seemed very disinterested, failed to notice we were without a drink for 30 minutes and seemed bothered when we had to flag her down to order another. She failed to say thank you when delivering the check and overall seemed to be bothered by the request for it. Went here for dinner with the family. First off, I love the ambiance. The brick building is beautiful and I love that it has an open kitchen (pics included). The food was lovely! We had the garlic knots and the sausage pizza. Everything tasted light and fresh! Sometimes pizzas can feel overly heavy and greasy which makes me feel rather gross after eating... however, this was not an issue at Brick Pizza. The pizza was equally visually appealing as it was appetizing. Also, they have a wonderful beer menu full of local brews from around Rhode Island! I love seeing a local business supporting other locals! This place is 30 min from our house and it's worth the drive. I can't wait to go back. My only regret was not ordering an additional pizza to bring home for the next day. Run, don't walk to Brick Pizza! You won't be disappointed! read more

I'm officially never coming here again. I've given it multiple chances and I'm always let down. The ambiance is the only thing going for the place. The food is so bad that you almost forget that you're paying double what it's worth on a good day. In my experiences the food has been cold, pizza is always underdone, the short rib pasta is basically beef stew dumped on pasta, the crab Rangoon pizza has about 3 dollops of topping on it. The owner tries to justify adding a 3% charge for rising food and labor costs but there's obv a big profit margin because the farm to table schpeel is a lie. If you go to the bathroom you can see into their prep kitchen and everything is canned and processed. Also the Dasilva farm chicken is 15 bucks a pound so to charge you for almost a lb per serving when you're getting 1/4 of that is not "covering rising food costs" it's greedy Edit; I said about 3 dollops here's barely 5. NOT always on every slice as he claimed. After this back and forth with the owner I'll be sure to let everyone know what kind of unprofessional management they have. Maybe if you have this much time on your hands you can go back to the drawing board on what warrants a bit more attention coming out of the kitchen. read more

Tried Brick and overall satisfied with our visit. I will say this feels like a place to come and stay for awhile for the ambiance, drinks, and to share some conversation out with family or friends; the pizza itself is alright. We did not try any apps/entrees/desserts but the menu looks very intriguing. Prices are very reasonable too. The drink menu and beer and wine selection are superb. Lots of nice choices and high quality wines. I thought the draft beer list was generous with even more options in can/bottle. You can tell a lot of thought and effort was put into the cocktail menu with lots of different custom craft cocktails. The pizza choices are pretty good, but none of them (menu-wise) sounded like an omg-must-have. We opted for a pepperoni and a caprese, both alright but nothing amazing. The caprese was very fresh but we found ourselves eating a bit around the full-size garlic cloves which were both on top and inside the pizza. I truly hope Brick tries sourcing fresh local basil, locally made mozzarella, and in season local tomatoes for this pizza in the summer. It would elevate this pizza into something reminiscent of caprese in Italy. With something so simple, you need very flavorful ingredients and I think the items being out of season could be a reason for the "alright" taste in the caprese. The pepperoni pizza was pretty good. The pepperoni itself had good flavor. Not a ton of sauce on the pizza but I think that is a personal preference. Overall I liked it. What I think makes the pizza here is you can taste and feel the freshness of the dough. Pizzas were also cooked pretty perfectly, a tiny bit charred/crisp but only a hint - as it should be! The pizza sizes are not too big, the size is basically halfway between a small and large "pizza joint pizza" that you may get delivered from elsewhere. A very hungry person could easily eat an entire Brick pizza. We very quickly and easily finished 2 pizzas among 3 people, but did not leave hungry. Finally, service was great. All professional staff and our server was very attentive, but not pushy. We could see managers and/or the owner walking around talking to guests which was nice to see. I think we would come back here for sure - but come for the experience, not necessarily just the pizza. Definitely want to try regular entrees next time. Overall would give the ambiance a 4 (-1 for noise), drink options a 5, service/ambiance/decor a 5, and pizzas we've tried (so far) a 3.5. read more

The bartenders we're all experienced and knowledgeable when we questioned the drink menu. Very tasty The food we had was there brick oven pizza and the charcuterie board. Loved it! The dining area and surrounding dings inside is beautiful. The old stone walls of this building is just beautiful the ceiling beams and lighting is spot on with the design of the building! I can see this being a huge local hang out and a change from the downtown area. Love the idea that the doors will be open in the warmer weather also a beautiful patio on the backside to attract the locals. I wish Brick much success in the future. Definitely a must try.
