I went on a Friday afternoon to have dinner and what a crappy experience. My waitress forgot about the beer I ordered and only remembered once I asked another employee. She then proceeded to charge the regular price for the beer even though I ordered it at 5:15 (happy hour ended at 5:30) but since the waitress "forgot", she didn't put the order in until 5:40. She then proceeds to bring me a semi cold beer. Doesn't apologize for forgetting or anything. Then the food- I ordered the carne asada and it was terrible. I mean the steak was ok but the rice, beans and pico de gallo tasted all manufactured. The picked onions looked grey and the jalapeños looked fake. Have been a couple times for my kid's fundraiser, the service is hit or miss and the food occasionally takes longer than you can find at other local restaurants. The open kitchen is a great design choice but can easily hear chef's frustration and kills the vibe. Came here on Monday... clean spotless gastropub meets big small town charm. It was slow when we came in though fun to just chill and catch up with my friend who brought us that I haven't seen in 6 years... we each had two beers and two samples and chatted over chips and guac... Came here Friday night and the wait was about 40 mins. They first tried to sit us at the bar which was fine when we were hungry but there wasn't a seat when we walked over there...very confusing. We finally got a table and sat down. We ordered the brisket nacho appetizer, my friend got the burger and I got the shrimp and grits.Our waitress was attentive at first but then after awhile didn't return to fill our glasses for awhile. Nachos had REALLY salty tortilla chips, the beer cheese was weird tasting but the brisket was good. My shrimp and grits was interesting. I never had sweet pepper grits before. It was good but not a big fan of it. The shrimp and the pork belly in it though was amazing ! I ate at Brick Works on the way home from the beach with family. We have unvaccinated children in the group and try to be COVID safe, so we chose Brick Works based on their large patio. It smelled absolutely awful. Just outside the fence on one side was an overflowing dog waste container, roasting in the midday sun. On another side was the restaurant's dumpster. We informed staff of the smelly dog waste, and they told us that there is also a sewage treatment plant next door, which could be the root cause of the smell. It got better after they removed the dog waste, but wasn't completely better. It's tough to enjoy food when you're smelling that. My salad was decent, but the experience was ruined by all the gross smells. read more

Yep good local place, pub/bar atmosphere inside they do separate the bar from the dining area which is good. This food I found to be fresh and very tasty. We started with the guac and chips, some of the best guac I have had. On this day we ordered sandwiches and they were delicious. The blackened salmon sandwich was so fresh and tender it just melted in my mouth. Only negative was the bacon was undercooked. Service was just fine it was not busy on a Sunday afternoon. We went there about a year ago, had our infant with us, we discussed with the person seating us what would work for us and they were okay with it. Another host came over with other guests and loudly stated that the seating arrangement wasn't going to work despite another staff member telling us it was okay. It was a huge serving at such a great price. The duck was cooked perfectly. The second appetizer we had was the big kahuna flatbread. This consisted of pulled pork, barbecue sauce, pineapple, and crispy fried onions. It was a simple flatbread, but the flavor packed a punch. The menu is so diverse... there are many other things I want to try such as the tacos, brisket & bleu cheese egg rolls (this was our second choice, but they ran out), and their beer mussels. Oh, I can't forget about the beer. Very tasty, however, I wish there was a bigger selection of wheat beer, but that does not discredit the ones they do have. The reason why I am giving them 3 stars is because of the personnel. The host wasn't very personable, along with our waiter. Almost a year in and they are still going strong. Of their 10 taps usually 8 are now brewed on-site. The menu changes seasonally but old favorites still remain. i had a great experience here! visited couple months back, a little after restaurants open up for business again after the covid lockdown. they offer happy hour special on the weekend also so we certainly took advantage of that! got a variety of snacks as you can tell by the pictures and they were all super tasty! as generic as this might sound, my favorite was the hot wings! done very well with a nice sharing portion! the beers were very delicious as well! it was a while back so i don't remember everything i had but i recall the fruity sour was very refreshing and im not a big fan of sours at all but i would contemplate getting that one again! the brew joint is nice and i would certainly return if i'm in the area again! read more

This place was so much fun! they have a game outside (throwing beanbags into a hole) and it was a lot of fun for us as we waited for our food. The food was awesome and greatly priced. I had a margarita and it was AMAZING , I mean just the right amount of alcohol, and I truly only needed one. It was very hot the day I went, and the A/C was pretty much non existent. This particular night I believe they were short handed because it took forever to get served a beer. It was very good though once it arrived. We even filled our growler and bought a crowler. Not many vegan options on the menu but the chef will give you some choices of what he can make. We ended up with a fantastic flat bread pizza with veggies. My friend had a stir fry. Actually I had emailed the restaurant to ask about vegan options and was told that there was salad on the menu. We decided to try this place out. Came at 7pm and a Friday night. Had a table of 3. Was told it was a 45 min wait. They have a cool app Our table was ready in about 30 min. Cool! Sat down and waited and waited and waited. Not cool. Ordered cocktails. Took forever and they were wrong. Why don't the waiters WRITE down the order. I'd be more impress if you got it right. Appetizers took FOREVER!!! Paid $9 for beer and cheese fondue and came with 2 whole pretzel sticks. Ok. Also got the $14 short run nachos. I order the Hot Pastrami sub with fries and my wife had the Big Reuben with potato salad, we also had Hush Puppies for an appetizer. The Hush Puppies tasted like they came out of a frozen food box and place in a oven to warm, but that wasn't the main thing, my fries came out cold, and my server was told and brought me another order of fries, this order was like they have a bunch of fries made from the day before and they just placed it into an oven or microwave to heat up. Fries should not be that hard to do, you don't give a customer old cold fries then when you give them another order you just warm up a stale batch of fries and expect that they will enjoy them. I think that if you want your customers to be happy you need to place yourself in their place and realize that if it doesn't look appetizing to put on a plate that you should not place it on a plate and working in a kitchen with food you need to have certain standards for yourself and your company. This is our go to when we're in town visiting my hub's family and friends. Great beer, food, service and we love their Yappy Hours on the patio. They even have a special dog menu you can order off of for your pups. My husband's favorite sandwich is The Bandit and I like to switch up my order every time I'm there. I was driving up north with my dog. I looked ahead to find dog friendly restaurants along my route. It looked like a good option so I decided to try it. This will always be on my itinerary when I drive through here with my dog. The outside patio is dog friendly and covered. The covered part tends to be a rare find for dog friendly patios. They brought water for my dog and let me order a side of bacon for her. As for the people food, it was quite tasty. I had the pucker up (sour beer). If I didn't have so far to still go, I would have grabbed a growler. I had the brisket burger, which was flavorful and juicy. The cole slaw was a spicy vinegar based version. This is a new Brew Pub in the area. The beer selection is good and the food section is fair. I say that the food selection is fair because of the variety. They have a few entrees on the menu that are not sandwiches and the entrees have a lot of fruit within the meals. When I asked the waitress if I could have these selections without the fruit (as I am allergic to a lot of fruits), she said no as the Chef cooks according to the selection. This was not a deal breaker for me and is still not for me. I just know that there the entrees are not in variety. I can however choose other alternatives such as sandwiches for dinner and appetizers. But, how often will I do this? I think they should look into this and change he menu to accommodate and perhaps have more entrees. When you walk into this restive and, you see all of the renovations (if you have come to place that was here before them). They have an very nice outside patio and is well maintained and clean. The staff seems very nice and well trained and the food is good. I ordered steak and the food was not hot. It was warm. The food came very fast. Which was a bit disturbing because the food was just warm. It should have been hot!!!! For all of the reasons named, I am giving three stars.
