Great hamburger! Service outstanding....great wine selection. Environment was wonderful for either family or date night!

Was on a road trip and we decided to stop in for an early dinner. We were quickly seated and got our water and drinks right away (coffee for him, tea for me). The menus took a bit longer, but we were just relaxing after a long drive. The food came out timely (we had the salmon and seafood pasta). The food I would give a 4, however sadly the broccolini that came with the salmon was inedible. What brings my review down to a 3 star was the follow up service. Now mind you I don't want someone coming by bothering me, but there was no follow up at all. No refill of the waters or coffee, no clearing of the plates, no box for my leftovers and no bill. Further this was an early dinner on a Tuesday night, and it was not super busy (mostly patrons in the bar area, not the dining area). We drive through to a family cabin a few times per year and I will give this place another chance as the food was good, but for the menu prices they will need to redeem themselves on service. read more

I eat here often and love the service and atmosphere. I love the huckleberry lemon drop martini and the warm romaine salad with feta and bacon yummy. They get busy so you need to be patient sometimes but the servers always do there best to make you feel like family. One of my favorite places in Redmond. read more

We were looking for a casual dinning restaurant with outdoor seating because we were traveling with our dog. The Brickhouse out did our expectations! They allowed us to have our dog at our table on the patio and it was great and friendly service and the food was superb! They even brought out slices of meat for our dog to eat. Excellently prepared and varied appetizers. We make a meal from 1 or 2 of those options often. If you want steak, this is best place in town... And the equal if any steak to be had In Bend. The back bar is very well stocked and Brian is a wonderful bartender and will know what you like quickly... I only down rated a bit because the owner stopped carrying my favorite appetizer in spite of my impassioned plea to keep it...:( If you live anywhere around Redmond you need to eat here. read more

My wife and I are out of town and a couple of towns people recommend this place to dine out. Our waitress was so pleasant to us. Debby kept checking in on us, making sure we were loving everything about our evening. We mentioned to her we were visiting and celebrating our wedding anniversary. She was kind enough to give us desert for the ride home. We had no room for dessert but she insisted! Thank you for an amazing meal and delightful time at Bricks. The food was mouthwatering. We picked this for a date night, and the first impression was of comforting warmth and casual intimacy. This is an amazing restaurant, the menu has many different choices for food to eat. The waiters and waitresses are always up for a chat and are always able to come right as you need them. The only reason that I am not rating this five stars is because the service wasn't exactly fast, but then again, when my family and I were there it was busy. We went to Brickhouse with some friends last week and the food was great. The service was friendly. We made reservations and asked for a table for the convenience of my husband. We were seated immediately at a table exactly as we had requested. My Filet Oscar was cooked to perfection and I can't say enough about the chocolate soufflé. Came here with a Meet-Up group; didn't know there was a Brickhouse in Redmond - pleasantly surprised. Came for the Happy Hour from 4:00 to 5:30 on a Thursday. Nice selection of wine, beer and cocktails. I had 2 grapefruit,Greyhounds -very refreshing and tasty. My husband had Pinot Gris from the Willamette Valley. They were out of fish for the tacos, so we selected steak quesadea - also very tasty. The decor is brick and wood which makes for a very noisy room but bearable for a short happy hour. What a disappointment. This place is a "want a be" high end steakhouse in sleepy Redmond. Cheese & Grape platter were good. Nice wine & bar selection too. However, when it comes to the meat and potatoes, it was a disaster. Baked potatoes were burned and cold, evidently sitting a while. No excuse! Filet steak was ridiculously thin, small and lacked quality. Flavorless at $43! Are you kidding me? Rib eyes were also average. Service spotty even though the place was half empty on a Saturday night. When we let waitress know potatoes were cold, the fix was to bring 3 more for our party of 6 when we were nearly done. Too little & too late...Felt cheated with quality and service. OVER PRICED! Perhaps they need to re-invent themselves as a wine bar and get out of the steakhouse business. read more

Great food, drinks, and service. Has a warm classic feel to it and is a great place for a date nite.

I started out with an iceberg wedge with blue cheese dressing, accompanied by a Bombay Sapphire martini. Perfect. I then had a nicely done sirloin with a baked potato (that needed a little more cooking) and veggies. The only wrinkle in the meal was the glass of red wine that I ordered to accompany the steak was inadvertently sent to the wrong table -- and they drank it. When I finally asked our waitress where the wine was, she went in search of it and discovered the mistake. She was very apologetic and brought me a glass of the wine. Then the owner came and sat down at our table and sincerely apologized for the inconvenience. To top it off, they wouldn't let me pay for the wine -- which was the most expensive wine on the list. So, they turned what might have been a negative experience into a very positive experience. I would definitely go back! read more

Thursday night with a group,ordered nearly all the appetizers on the menu, restaurant was not busy and food really were below average. Bay shrimp drenched in cocktail sauce, chicken satay tough, etc., etc., you get the idea. Our servers were nice and they did bring food out quickly. read more

This was my 2nd visit to the Brick House and I have to say the food was amazing as well as the service. I had the Swordfish that was cooked to perfection. It melted in your mouth. The crystalized ginger gave just a hint of sweetness, that married well with sauce. If you are in Redmond I recommend you give the Brick House a try. read more

Visiting a friend in Culver and decided to overnight in Redmond. My mother and I split the Pork Rack (16 oz) and asked for it medium well, got it medium. I had to split the rack into 2 chops (!) The server offered to return it for further cooking (seeing the pink inside) but Mom ended up OK with it. Cheddar-chive mashed potatoes had good flavor but gluey texture, and the apple-onion mix on the chops didn't have much taste. Marionberry cobbler was tasty, a la mode would have been better if allowed to soften before service. Speaking of which, on a slow night (Wednesday) it still took over 90 minutes start to finish, with way too much time between bread/entree and dessert/check. Decent food, but not as good as expected. Pricey like a Portland restaurant ($32 steak) but the ribeye was full of gristle and asparagus was oily. Marilyn and I planned on dining at another restaurant, however, we dropped into The Brickhouse on 6th in Redmond for martinis and their incredible bartender Brian charmed us into staying and eating at the bar. It was a wonderful experience from martini to main course, which for Marilyn was the 6 oz. Filet, rare of course, with mashed yams and grilled asparagus. It was perfectly rare and a perfect size portion. They offer two larger filets also. I had the Parmesan crusted Halibut special, beautifully done, crispy crust, flaky wonderfully halibut. The mashed yams and grilled asparagus was a perfect compliment. Coffee and a generous pour of Sambuca rounded out the evening meal. Definitely an exceptionally enjoyable evening in Redmond, Oregon. They have restaurants in Bend and other locations, but Brian behind the bar made the difference for us. read more

This was an outstanding restaurant!!!! The steaks and seafood was "heavenly". Cooked to perfection and melted in your mouth. The dessert ,too,was fantastic!!! The service was wonderful. The waite staff made you feel like you were the only one in the place. Had we discovered this restaurant earlier in our vacation, we would have eaten there every night.......the variety was outstanding and the food that delicious....."to die for". Updated and upgraded to 5 stars. Went back and everything was perfecto. I love this joint. Romantic quality food in Redmond. who would have thought ...one big tip : Work on the desserts, seriously. Went here for NewYears eve, great environment. Food was great and good. My husband had the Filet Oscar ordered it medium rare got it medium well, but he said it tasted ok. I got the filet and shrimp special medium rare, cooked more medium than medium rare but the quality of meat compensated for it. Mussels were fantastic, creme brûlée a little flat but tasty. Our waitress was very pleasant and one if the waitresses broke out in sing with a voice that stopped the chatter briefly. All in all great food, could use some sprucing up on the meat tempature and timing of appetizers, salad and entree, but definitely worth the price and definitely see this place up and coming as time goes on. We ordered the field green organic salad and added prawns for dinner. While the salad was good, it was way overpriced for what you got. It was an appetizer size salad and 3 small prawns ($10 extra, total $19). We should have ordered the shrimp/crab Louie (1/2), as that has a decent portion of food. I can only say that I have had much better fare for less money. This place is about presentation and catering to those who don't mind being seen spending $12 on a glass of not great wine. Do not go to the Brickhouse with an appetite. Very small portions plated well. My meal was average, with not great ingredients. However a nice effort was made to improve the dish with a fairly good sauce. If a salad and a good house dressing had been included with the meal, I might have rated the place higher (2). My wife and I decided to try Brickhouse last Saturday night. I wasn't going to make a reservation because I figured little downtown Redmond on a Saturday night we'll be fine. Good thing I did because when we arrived there wasn't a seat in the house! Always a good sign! Our clam appetizers were done very nicely. I was impressed for not being on the coast! Both of our Filets we cooked perfect and to our liking. The beef was top grade and extremely tender! Hostess and waiter were both great, very good service. Not excellent service but part of that was due to the fact that they appeared to be under-staffed that night. My only negative was the cocktails could of been a little better and the steak a little more flavor! Overall a wonderful night! Cool menus too! read more

Great service, great food and fantastic selection of wines. The beef was from Idaho, which was disappointing because I would have expected it it be from a local Ranch in Bend or Redmond. Although, it tasted fine. Highly recommended! read more
