Thursday night spoiler alert - $2.50 draft list. Unheard of in this day and age. Last night was another excellent night. I went with the Tuna Steak entree. For sides, I went with a bowl of chili and a house side salad. The Tuna Steak is pretty decent. I had it seared and it was absolutely perfect. I really love their chili, add sour cream and cheddar cheese and it is perfect. The side salad is large, but pretty boring, it is a side salad after all. Came on a Wednesday night when half the place was empty and saw plenty of staff working, but nobody would even stop by our table to take our drink orders and when we tried to flag passing staff they actively avoided us. Food came out on extremely hot plates. Ordered Brickhouse burger and a salad. We also ordered grilled chicken, mashed potatoes and vegetables and ordered one of the 12 inch pizza specials. All the toppings on the pizza slid off, the bottom of the pizza was wet and the middle dough raw. We did order an appetizer that was tasty and came to our table quickly. Have been to this restaurant at least 50 times in the last 15 years and have always had delicious meals and never a raw pizza. Service was slow, but in our servers defense she had a few big parties and seemed to be the only one working in the dining area. There was another server, but she just stood in the background reminding our server to take things to different tables instead of her helping out. We let the server know about the problem with the pizza offered to get us something on the menu, but we declined because his appetite was pretty much ruined. No discount on the pizza or no manager checking on us about the pizza and had to wave the server down to bring our check. Won't be going back to Brickhouse any time soon and if you go stay away from the wet raw pizza. read more

We had 2 different people recommend it to us so we decided to give it a try. Well it's no longer a good restaurant, in fact it's terrible. Trust me when I say don't eat here! My wife and I stopped in for a late lunch on 3/10/2023. When we were seated, no place settings were provided. My wife ordered the chicken tacos with sweet potato fries and a coffee. I ordered the Brick House special pizza and a beer. I asked for a sample of the beer before committing to a pint. The waitress brought the coffee with cream and sugar, but no napkin or spoon. When it was pointed out, the waitress said yes she'll get it and quickly left. After several minutes she still hadn't returned we caught the manager and asked him for place settings, he brought her just 1 spoon and napkin. When we again pointed out we both needed place settings he said something about not wanting her coffee to get cold and walked off (too late for that). Finally my beer sample came. I liked it and ordered the pint. The beer was delicious. Even though the restaurant wasn't at all busy, the waitress scurried around in a very stressful way. At one point she just waited several minutes by the pizza oven waiting for the cook. It took over 30 minutes for our food to come. The pizza was hot but the tacos cold, sweet potato fries were the frozen from the bag type and also served cold. My wife was so upset she told the waitress it was the worst meal ever and just take it away. The pizza was just ok, nothing special. The manager never came over to our table apologize but did remove the tacos from the bill. We spotted him leaving the building shortly thereafter. The issues we experienced at this restaurant was all management related. It was pretty obvious to us he had no interest in his job, properly training staff, customer service or keeping the restaurant open for business. Our advice: don't waste your time or money at this restaurant as it was truly the worst food and service we've experienced in a very long time. read more

This place used to be the best! Ten years ago it was the place to go. We went recently, and the wheels have fallen off. Service was sloooooow. So slow that we almost just left. Menu is limited. Food was good, but nothing amazing. The bathrooms looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a while. We were there for lunch and after our food was delivered, nobody ever came back to our table. For ten or fifteen minutes, no servers were in sight at all. We had to go to the hostess and ask if they wanted us to pay or just leave since nobody had been by to check on us or give us a bill. The food is consistent, but the staff are great. I usually just pickup now (even before COVID), and the people taking my order and bringing up the payment book are always friendly. I feel comfortable waiting up front. I'm not willing to dine inside anywhere; and thought they have a nice, lengthy patio; I used to enjoy sitting in the not-quite lazy boys to watch tv or chill in a booth and eat while getting some work done--or reading--like I would at home. It was just a nice place to hang outside of home. Ex-meal: Weekend apple-french toast. (The reason why I don't sit in much anymore. That, and more into WNBA than NFL now...) Meal: Chicken tender dinner. I wish their broccoli side was bigger and less expensive. And that they offered more like a bowl of the cole slaw instead of the little sauce container portion. Based on three visits: Nice staff. Very noisy (don't go during a sport game unless you like that sort of thing and bring your ear protection.) Yelp 100 Challenge 2018: 39/100 A coworker and I decided to go for some American comfort food, and I was low-key feeling dreadful because I wasn't planning on having a full-on sit-down meal and eating something rather heavy. To my surprise, I found my experience at Brickhouse Tavern really enjoyable! There are plenty of seating inside the restaurant, and the service was really quick. We came on a Monday and I found out that they have a 1/2 price all wine (below $40) deal!! I definitely could not pass on that, and ordered their Moscato. The bottle of wine itself cost $30, meaning that it only cost us $15 for a whole bottle of wine (and split that between the two of us - $7.50!) Besides the wine, I also thought that the pasta was really worth it. I ordered the Chicken & Wild Mushroom Risotto ($14), and was expecting a small-ish plate since most places don't serve a lot for pasta/Italian dishes. When the waitress brought out the food, I was surprised at how much food there was, and I could barely finish half! For the price, I thought their other pasta options were worth trying too (ex. Seafood Pasta for $17). I'm not sure if I'm holding this restaurant to the pricing standard to those in California/Los Angeles (but Lake Norman/Davidson isn't exactly a cheap place either). But the price and quality of food definitely sold me. After finding this place, I am excited to come back to Mooresville for more work visits so I can come back for the 1/2 price wine and more reasonably priced food! :) read more

I hate to say it, but probably my last visit to this restaurant. Food is decent. Beer is great. But service is either ok or horrible. Visited several times, generally very happy. One bad experience before tonight. Stuff happens. But tonight was last straw. We were told there would be a wait. No problem. Get seated in an hour. Cool. Placed an order for a beer, a salad, and two dinners. Half of the order is delivered. Instead of beer brought my wife some wine. Sent that back. No silverware. Finally got our servers (Haley) attention. We only got half of our order and nothing to eat it with. "Who brought this out to you?" Sorry Haley, don't know his name. We told him we didn't have silverware. Never saw him again. Haley left in a huff. She tried to escalate. When she came back she explained someone else got my wife's meal. Ok. Can she take my meal back to keep it warm? No. Can I at least have something to eat with. No, we're out of silverware. Can I speak w a manager? No, she's busy dealing w an issue at the bar. I'm obviously getting frustrated. But Haley just checked out. I finally got a manager. She brought us some silverware. She comped my wife's meal. We stayed. I ate at least 5 bites of my meal. I went on an NFL game day and loved the bar area. Lots of TVs and fun fans. My burger was amazing! I loved it. The chips and guacamole was just meh. Basic but did the job. Can't say enough good things about the burger through. Lots of beers if that is your thing. I got a tequila and soda water and man they made it strong! I have been here a few times and all of my experiences have been ok. This is nothing to rave about. The place is big and you have a separate dining room and bar. There are a lot of items on the menu, maybe too many. The food is lackluster. This visit I had the chicken tacos and they were ok. From a service point of view, it has always been ok. A guy took me for lunch last week. We both had the fish and sweet potato fries. The fish was cooked nicely, just crispy enough and not oily or soggy. Good portion on the bun. Kind of bland so although I don't normally eat coleslaw, I added it to my sandwich and it was just the perk it needed. My fries were just a leeeeee-tle bit overcooked but still good. (I happen to like my fries well done.) Our waitress was great. Personable and very good at checking on us to refill drinks, etc. I'll go again. Gonna check on their specials before I do. read more

We live in Davidson and frequent (now used to) Brickhouse Tavern. Last year we had our team Christmas dinner there in the upper room and had a great time and exceptional service. Unfortunately, their customer service from the events manager is less than desirable. On Tuesday evening the on site manager told us we could book again for a Monday in December. She said she put our name down to hold the spot and that the events manager would be in touch the next business day. No call. We called and were placed on hold for over 20 minutes without an answer. Called back an hour later to our surprise, the events manager was very short and rude on the phone. Apparently she has been too busy to return calls and despite being told that the Monday date was secured, we were informed it was not available and no other options were provided. The lack of customer service has put a very bad taste in our mouths. Its unfortunate given the on site staff is usually very upbeat and attentive but we will not be visiting this restaurant any longer. read more

Although the pizza and beer is amazing- the chain of command is not. I have been enjoying their food for quite some time now. Lived in Davidson for years and would frequent Brickhouse with my wife. I'm now calling it quits. Not only does it now take 10 phone calls to get them to answer for a take out order, tonight my wife's order of spaghetti and meatballs (hold the meatballs) meant no sauce just noodles. Not only are the people taking your order over the phone incredibly rude and have no clue what's on the menu (didn't know what ala carte meant) they clearly half listen as they rudely take your order. So your food is good, but you're not worth the trouble. If you're looking for a great experience with similar food I highly suggest The Harp and Crown In Cornelius. read more

The food was just not good in any way. It seems to be extremely difficult to find good food from restaurants in the area.

This has been a favorite for years that we would visit every Friday if we were able to get there before 5:00 when it gets really busy and there's about an hour wait. We have tried to make reservations a few times but were told they don't take reservations. I guess it depends on who you are because more than once I've personally heard people say they had a reservation. Takeout is hit or miss. I have a severe allergy to mushrooms and several times I have ordered The Brickhouse Special pizza without the mushrooms and explained my allergy. Three times I received it with mushrooms. The first time I didn't notice because they were not noticeable under the cheese and with all the toppings. It didn't end well for me. Between the reservation issue and the mushrooms we only go here now a few times a year. I miss it but lots of other restaurants to choose from. read more

I would not recommend this despite the initial recommendation of the waitress. The highlight of the dinner was the special at $19.
