This is a lovely restaurant. We sat on the outdoor patio with a view of the golf course and putting green. The weather was perfect which might contribute to my five star review. You know how everything feels great when the stars align well? I was in the company of fantastic friends with a beautiful backdrop and absolutely perfect Southern California weather. Our server was very attentive and took excellent care of us throughout our entire meal. All eight of us enjoyed our meals. The popular dinner to order was the fish and chips. I had the salmon and it was cooked to perfection. My husband went with his usual hamburger which he loved. Cocktails flowed and were tasty. The restaurant was decorated for Easter. They put the grass and egg decor on the ceiling of the indoor space. They also created a wall for photo ops, which, of course we took advantage of. I hear their Christmas decorations are gorgeous and I hope to come back again to see that.

    Mimosas!

Best way to start the morning after a wild week long event? Mimosas at Brickmans :) I ordered a Steak and Egg Smash and my friend and I got the Build Your Own Mimosa. Drink was great, the food was so good (we both keep on wanting to come back, might just make a trip out here soon), and the view with all the golfers was nice! Our server was very sweet and attentive and made sure we had a fantastic meal. The menu for brunch was limited (which might be restrictive for other guests) but honestly that was enough to choose from for us so we were happy with our brunch experience. Overall rating: Food: 10/10 Service: 10/10 Menu: 9/10 Restaurant Vibes: 10/10 Price to Overall Dining (POD): 10/10

My friends and I came here during the holidays specifically to indulge in the festive cocktails and to check out their fully decked out holiday decor that ran from floor to ceiling. We were impressed with the decor and thoroughly enjoyed the drinks and food! Within our party of 6, we ordered the following drinks: Silent Night: non-alcoholic coffee liqueur, cream, peppermint, and tipplemans burnt brown sugar - This was my drink and I absolutely loved it! I appreciate how the peppermint flavor was present, but not overpowering. Holiday Staycation: non-alcoholic, dark, rum, house made spiced pear syrup, lime, and tipplemans burnt brown sugar Partridge Peartini: Tito's vodka, St. George pear liqueur, nux alpina walnut liqueur, house made pear syrup, lemon, and bitters Mistletoe Merry-Rita: dobel diamante tequila, dolin blanc vermouth, orange liqueur, lime, and house made spiced cranberry syrup Christmas Vacation: Appleton rum, planteray pineapple rum, passion fruit, velvet faker bum, cherry, lime, vanilla, and bitters Holly Jolly Spritz: aperol, lime cordial, house made cranberry syrup, lemon, and prosecco For food, we ordered fish n chips, burgers, Caesar salad, and grilled chicken salad for sharing. This could become a new holiday tradition. That said, we'll be back next Christmas! Great service and lots of free parking!

Love the Christmas Bar! Came here for the first time with some friends to see the bar and celebrate birthdays, and it did not disappoint. The bar was decorated inside and outside, and had a few photo ops like a sleigh, and a window box you can stand in. The ceiling was covered in ornaments and presents for decorations. The cocktail menu was new this year and not only were they very reasonable, they were also strong, and the 3 we had tasted really good. Drinks were all the same price of $15, which was cheaper than what we paid at another pop up bar, for weaker drinks that weren't as good. We tried the Merry Rita, the Christmas Vacation, Partridge Pear-tini, and the Holly Jolly spritz, and even both of the mocktails.. All of them were excellent and we'd order them again. The food was extremely reasonable priced and delicious. I got the fish and chips and it was flavorful and not too greasy. Two friends had the burger and said it was tasty as well. Since we were celebrating a birthday we got a free cheesecake which was nice. We all decided this was a must to do again next year. The service was also great, and they have a nice lounge set up that's decorated as well for the holidays.

I came here for Easter brunch and paid $85 for the buffet. Overall, it was just...mid. The breakfast side actually had a good variety. There was an omelette station (definitely the highlight for me), along with sausage, bacon, potatoes, and eggs. That part was solid, though the fruit selection was pretty limited. The lunch/dinner side had more options like honey baked ham, prime rib, mac and cheese, asparagus, and a vegetable medley. Unfortunately, this is where things really fell short. The ham had almost no flavor, and overall the food quality just didn't match the price point. They also had a dessert section with cookies, pastries, and other sweets, but nothing was labeled, so you had no idea what you were picking up. On top of that, most of the desserts tasted very generic, like something you'd get from a grocery store. There was a shrimp cocktail station, but the shrimp was very chewy and not good at all. They also had a small kids' section with hamburgers and another item, plus a separate area with caprese, and breakfast extras like pancakes or waffles and Greek yogurt. My biggest issue was the quality across the board. Even the bacon was thin and low quality. For $85, I expected much better. They also didn't have basic things like salt and pepper on the table, which was surprising. That said, the atmosphere was cute. The space was decorated nicely for Easter, and they had an Easter egg hunt and a bunny, which made it a fun experience overall. The staff members were nice, and I was checked on quite a bit. It's a nice place to celebrate the holiday for the vibe, but I wouldn't come back for the food. Maybe just for a drink.

Pleasantly surprised by Brickmans and their renovations. Sat at a high top near the bar. Service was outstanding with both bartenders and manager checking on us. Food was quite tasty. We got a burger and a salad. Both were delicious. Their espresso martini was made perfectly to order. Definitely will be back.

This was our first time here after driving by it for years and we're so glad today was the day we discovered this trifecta of food, service, and ambiance. We sat inside, which was lovely, but will try the covered patio next time. Hubby had the a burger and I had a salad with salmon. The dressing was phenomenal! Both were delicious! Our server helped accommodate, eliminating gluten from my item, which I greatly appreciated.

Really happy to see the finally have a vegan/vegetarian option on their new spring menu. The tacos were really good. French toast was nothing special. They also have a fantastic breakfast burrito and you can remove the meat. Excited to check them out for dinner to see if they have options for vegetarian food then! Great outdoor patio food for dogs and strollers

We went to this restaurants for breakfast while staying at the lakehouse hotel. It is about an 8-10 min walk or a 3-5 min drive from the hotel. The place is located next to a golf course with a great view. They have indoor and outdoor seating. We tried their breakfast sandwich, breakfast burrito, and the classic Benny. All were just ok. They have a wide selection of alcoholic beverages and two freshly made juices, I tried the one with carrot, orange and ginger and it was delicious. We went there twice and the service was very slow both times. We tried to go there for a third time but after waiting for a while without being seated, we ended up going elsewhere. That said, the servers were friendly and prices were reasonable.

Came here with my friends for a holiday pop up. They had a couple spots for photo opps. We had a reservation and it was very busy so we had to wait. The ceilings were decorated really cute with ornaments. They sat us outside and they had lights all over the ceiling there too. It was a foggy night and felt great out there. The fries and ranch were pretty good. I gor dry rub wings which I enjoyed. The tomato soup was too thick for me. I didn't even know this place existed! It was really fun.

This place is so cute & everything tasted better than I thought The server was amazing too, I forgot his name

Hot Chicken Sandwich and Birria Tacos.
    Hanna A.

My husband took me here for our anniversary. He ordered the Hot Chicken Sandwich and I ordered the Birria Tacos. The Chicken Sandwich overall was good, but it used more slaw because of how big the chicken was to balance things out. The Birria Tacos were good and juicy, but over course it's not "traditional," I suppose. Would I order it again? Probably haha. The staff were very attentive. I think two different girls kept coming to our table, so it must have been slow. The place was nice and looked clean. I wasn't expecting a restaurant like that next to a gold course.

Same Same, but Different? Not Quite…read more Hiya B.U.M.S., We recently decided to check out Same Same, hoping for an experience that was delightfully different. Our order for the night? The Thai-style New York steak, Khao Soi curry, and larb lettuce cups--all paired with a custom-crafted, half-Cranberry, half-Sprite. Before we even tasted the food, we almost ended up eating next door. The entrances are a bit of a maze, leaving us standing outside having a mini identity crisis about where we actually wanted to dine. Ultimately, we stayed the course and chose Same Same. The Larb Lettuce Cups: As a massive larb fan, I was hyped. Unfortunately, it fell a bit flat. My wife officially dubbed it "lackluster." While the ground beef was seasoned and the lettuce was beautifully crisp, when the lettuce is the undisputed star of your larb, it might be time to reevaluate the recipe. The Yellowtail Ceviche: To recover from the larb disappointment, my wife ordered the ceviche. It was a step up, but for a Thai spot, it was missing that signature kick. It really needed a handful of jalapeños to wake it up. In fact, nothing on the table was truly spicy until I deployed their house chili oil. The Khao Soi Curry: This was the absolute hero of the night! It completely saved the meal. It was rich and delicious, and it paired unexpectedly well with our New York steak--even though the kitchen served it well-done instead of our requested medium-rare. As dinner went on, it became pretty clear that this spot might cater a bit more to the happy hour and drinking crowd, especially considering my Cranberry-Sprite mix was arguably the most flavor-packed thing on the table. That said, the service was fantastic. The staff members were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Pro-Tip: If you're ordering more than two items, do not let them seat you at the tiny tables for two. It's a high-stakes game of food Tetris you will not win. On the bright side, they earned major bonus points for boxing up our leftovers for us. Call me old-fashioned, but I feel like every restaurant should still offer that level of hospitality! Overall, I'd say give it a shot if you're in the neighborhood and looking for a cool atmosphere, but I wouldn't rush off your couch to get there.

I agree with some of the other commenters when they say that the revolving fireplace needs some love. It has the look and feel of needing to be updated. Also, for it to be a "speakeasy" vibe, you could hear the loudness of the bar through the walls. It just kind of ruins the facade a little bit. Regardless, we enjoyed the novelty of being slowly admitted to the speakeasy on the opposite side. We were given seats and upon first glance it was a dark lit space with an old fashioned aesthetic. I was surprised to see how casual everyone was dressed- I assumed there was a dress code, but I guess flip flops made the cut ‍. It took a few minutes for our server to attend to us, and when he did you could tell he was slammed. We just didn't get the table side manner one was hoping for an establishment like this. Peeking at their drink menu, I found myself disappointed that much of their options had a lot of sweet or fruit juice ingredients. So, I went for their old fashioned. For the price, it was just okay. Another disappointing moment. In all, it wasn't terrible, but it just isn't worth the hype. Overpriced and mediocre drinks and a seemingly overworked staff didn't make for a memorable experience and ended up not being for us. I ordered the mahi mahi fish tacos and a house coffee. The coffee was actually pretty good! Cream and sugar were delivered separately to finish with your preference. As for the tacos, it was okay. The fish was a bit dry for my liking, cabbage could have been chopped with more finesse, and I wished they QC'd their limes a bit before putting them on the plate. Both were bone dry and I had to ask for more. Moreover, the cilantro lime rice was also a bit bland. It needed salt to lift the flavors in my opinion. There weren't even flecks of green if it was supposed to be cilantro? I tried boyfriend's veggie hash but was disappointed to find that it was almost all potatoes. Having said that, it was an extremely generous portion so he was filled up. While I didn't try it, our friend that had the chorizo hash also said it was okay so I'm guessing the ratio wasn't quite right. Anyways, ask for their chili sauce on the side, that's actually quite surprising. It had really good heat and was more like a chili crisp than a vinegary hot sauce. The plates that did score favorably at the table were the carne chilaquiles and the divorced eggs.

We started at the bar and then wanted to table inside and they did their best on the incredible soccer night to accommodate us which they did and we thank them for that. The happy hour menu is truly fabulous and a whole bunch of ways. Sandy was our server and I just have to say she was as overwhelmed as the rest of the restaurant. She had 11 tables to look over and we were just happy that she took our order and it came out and it was great. I really can't comment on the food because we only had our table for a half an hour. We got a beautiful outdoor seat along the walkway. My friends took advantage of the happy hour bites still offered but I was committed to the chicken pot pie which came with a side salad. My chicken pot pie was on the salty side but the chunks of chicken were nice and the flaky crust was delicious. The vibe was upscale yet approachable. Even better was a free underground parking garage under the restaurant! Bathrooms were outside, shared with other businesses. They were keypad locked and a bit messy, but sufficient. I look forward to visiting again!
