I was instructed to arrive when the store opens, and theycould have my pants ready by the end of business day. I dropped off my pants at 10 AM and received a call at 11:30 AM that my pants were ready for pick up. The pants were perfect, and the cost was very reasonable. The staff was incredibly friendly and professional. I found my go to place for alterations in San Diego!

As a very petite shopaholic, I kept her busy, and she never disappointed. After Kim retired and sold the business, I decided to give the new owner a chance. Against my better judgment, I brought in a pair of $250 designer joggers to have the original hem shortened. I specifically paid extra to preserve the original hem. When I picked them up, I was shocked. The original jogger hem with the branded drawstring detail had been completely cut off and replaced with a basic flat hem. The owner admitted he couldn't find the pieces he removed and only located one of the original hem after searching. To his credit, he attempted to fix the damage, but I had to source the correct drawstring components myself and wait over two weeks for repairs. He reimbursed me for the materials, but that was the extent of it. I finally wore the pants for the first time, and the repaired drawstring immediately broke. Now the pants are essentially unusable. Mistakes happen, but this alteration permanently damaged an expensive garment that cannot be restored to its original condition. Please be cautious if you're bringing in specialty, designer, or high-end items. I won't be returning.

This is not my first review as I'm a returned customer, but this time with my wedding dress, and I can't emphasize enough how thorough and professional Larysa is! I wouldn't trust anyone else to complete this job, as I had a difficult dress to alter and big request, which she was able to fulfill. I really wanted to wear gloves for the wedding, however the issue I faced that there is no gloves I could find matching the dress and my hand size. I addressed this request to Larysa and she suggested to make long sleeves instead to imitate gloves and I'm glad I agreed as they came out perfect! She was able to shorten the train to my liking, as the original dress had too long of a train and a bit odd shape to it (too round) and fix its shape. The fabric and appliqué which was cut out was enough to make beautiful sleeves. She also made a beautiful bustle which looked stunning on photos and videos. Her attention to details and execution of my request was flawless! Her work definitely worth the money and I will return with my further projects. read more

I can't recommend Larysa more! I came to her needing my wedding dress altered and also had some DIY additions in mind. She not only altered my dress perfectly but made sleeves for the dress and gave me advice on how to approach adding the extras I wanted to add myself. She is friendly and FAST. She gives GREAT advice on what will work best for the alterations. She added the bustle for me and even helped me take a video of how to do it. I had such an amazing experience getting my dress altered here! I had to have it taken in on both sides and the back as well as getting it taken in shorter! She had it completed before the actual pick up day and was so helpful with pinning my bra to my dress to ensure it wouldnt show in my dress!! I had been spending a lot of time looking online and fell in love with dresses by a designer called Ladivine. However, all online retailers were final sale, which just did not work for me. I read off several of the model numbers for the dresses that I liked. He let me know if they had them and in which colors, or if he thought they could get them. Anyway, they definitely had one of them, but he was going to look further to see if he could get some of the others. I never got a call back. I called back a few days later to get the same story, and still no call back. Finally, I decided to go there and try on the dress they had. They had it in my size, but in a different color. I really fell in love with that dress, but was still curious about some of the other dresses. Again, he took my number and said he would call with information about the other dresses, but no call. Finally, after I couldn't stop thinking about the dress I had tried on, I asked him to get it in rose gold (color in the photo). He said I could wait and pay when I came to get fitted. That felt better to me, as I was a bit concerned about the lack of follow through. The dress came in my color quickly and he called to let me know it was in. I came to try it on and purchase it. It was $20 cheaper than I was quoted which was nice. I just needed it shortened so I could dance. He did the alterations there in the store, and I picked my dress up a couple days later. All in all, I had a positive experience, bought a dress that I love, and alterations were fast and easy. Once I had decided on my dress, the service was flawless. However, trying to find out about dresses that they didn't have in stock was impossible. I recommend Elegant Designs, but only for the styles they have in the store.

I had actually gone to another tailor previously and was told that what I envisioned couldn't be done. This is further testament to Carla and what she can do. From the very beginning, working with her felt like a true partnership. She brought an incredible level of craftsmanship, creativity, and honesty to the process. Not only did she make my vision a reality, but she also improved elements of the dress that I would have never questioned myself. There were details she insisted could be better -- and she was absolutely right every single time. Throughout multiple fittings, she was meticulous, patient, communicative, and deeply invested in making sure the final dress was exactly what I wanted (and what she knew it could become). Watching my wedding dress transform into something modern and wearable again was such a special experience. Pricing was fair and reasonable, and communication throughout the entire process was excellent. My first fitting Kat took my personalized measurements and we talked in great detail about how I wanted to look and feel on my wedding day. She truly listened to all of my ideas (and I had A LOT!). Together we came up with a game plan to execute my vision for my wedding day. Kat is inventive, precise and extremely detail-oriented. She took great care of my dress and it turned out exactly how I envisioned it would look. In addition to my dress, she designed a veil specifically for me. It was absolute perfection. On the day of the final fitting, she personally offered to help me carry my dress to my car. It was such a simple, but incredibly sweet gesture. It showed me how much she personally cares about each of her clients. After working with Kat there is no one else I would trust to alter my dress. Not only did she do an exceptional job with my dress but she is one of the most kind and empathetic humans ever!

Her tailoring was also excellent: fit my waist perfectly and my strapless gown stayed up all night. She was also very flexible and fast, listened thoroughly and took notes on my vision, and was able to do 4-5 fittings across 2 weeks. My mom and I had a great experience chatting with her at our appointments. She is a lovely person and talented seamstress!

Anna was friendly and gave me a 2 week return period for my 2 suits, unfortunately one the suit jacket sleeves where not done correctly they became too short. And the way they were alter made the sleeves look weird.

I've been coming to Anna for so many years! She have been open for 20 years…read more Anna is very friendly and patient with her clients. She is welcoming and has a bright positive side to her. There is street parking outside of her shop but you have to pay for the meter parking. If you do park where the meters are, just let her know and she will pay for your parking. Superior customer service. Otherwise there is free parking on the sides with limited time. Anna tailoring prices are pretty good. She custom makes outfits as well. She is really talented and specialize in her job.
