Strawberry salad with chicken & a lot of it!
Cat M.

Attended a birthday dinner party on a Friday night. Parking is very tough to find & $$$. We paid $10 an hour to park a little further away & the parking right next to it was $16 an hour! You need to take an elevator or stairs to get to the restaurant which is very nice once you are in there & the beach views & sunset are fantastic. Menu is very limited & very pricey. The martini prices were good - $10. They make a delicious espresso martini! I ordered the strawberry salad with chicken & they give you a lot of chicken. It was good but the salad was heavily dressed. Others in the group got fish which looked fantastic as it should be for $45! Others kept it light like me with salads. Two people tried the pasta - they thought it was just OK & one persons pasta came out lukewarm. Our waiter was great with our large table & very patient. Doubt I would go again but the sunset views were spectacular!

I do recommend that you get a reservation, especially if you can request seating outside around dinner time so you can enjoy your meal while seeing the sunset. This was an absolutely amazing experience that my family got to have on Christmas Day. Our server was very kind and took care of us. The food was delicious. I loved how it was prepared and sent out in a timely manner. We were not steered wrong. Overall, this experience was quite lovely. The hostess was very kind along with the servers. They kept this restaurant very clean. Definitely check out Bridge Street Bistro.

Genuinely felt bamboozled after booking on OpenTable. The photos made it seem like this place was a fine-dining seafood on the beach... not so much. Our food was disappointing -- I sent the grouper back twice because of quality. The $18 shrimp cocktail was 4 shrimp on a plate. Just not great at all. The staff was friendly and helpful. And the strawberry ice cream sandwich was super yummy!

This is medium?

I was excited to try something that seemed a bit nicer than the typical beach restaurants we've been to. If this meal had been the same price as the others, it would be fine, but we paid a lot for just okay food. I ordered the surf & turf ($48) and my daughter ordered the espresso-rubbed steak ($46). We both ordered them medium, and they were both well done. The Brussels sprouts were great. The risotto was bland, even after adding a lot of extra salt & pepper. The blackberry martini was fantastic, as was the service. But if you're charging that much for a steak, it should be at least close to cooked properly. I would've sent mine back if the rest of my party hadn't been halfway done eating by the time the server checked in (not the server's fault; the others just ate very quickly & I didn't want to hold everyone up).

from the moment we walked in the hostess was rude and univiting. took 15 minutes to even get water at the table and then when they came she only brought two. food was bland and overpriced. one of the bussers started to clear our table while we were sitting still and hit my brother in laws elbow down purposefully so he could reach a plate. rude, uninviting and gross food. would not recommend. lastly it smelled like straight poop (disgusting i know). purely honest review so u DONT WASTE UR TIME!!! xoxo - gossip girl

Had a lovely Thanksgiving meal from this floor deck overlooking the Gulf. They were able to fit us in when I called for reservations. I later found out they are on Open Table as well. Buffet felt a little expensive at $40 but it had carved beef, turkey, salmon, stuffing, mashed potatoes, etc. We decided to order off menu for slightly more per person but got great filet mignon and lobster surf and turf. Thanks for a great Thanksgiving!

My third time back here. First time was with Peggy's cousin and we went out on the deck had an awesome time. Second time my better have to decide not to join me and said bring something back good. Which I did grand slam home run This time we were out for a walk downtown. We wandered over here and I took her up for a view. The staff was handling a guest as we came in and did an excellent job. We were too early to seat at 5 o'clock when they started seating, had no reservation, and they set one for 5 o'clock . Oh well was me, we had a wait at the bar. I was heartbroken. The bartender served up a Mount Gay so much for being heartbroken. My girlfriend Peggy just rolled her eyes again. So I was looking at where we were going to be setting and it was very quiet out there unlike the bar there was a couple customers that were very loud I got on my knees and pleaded for mercy to be seated outside now before the 5 o'clock witching hour. The hostess was very gracious and understood the problem at the bar. She moved us outside. Peggy with her iced tea and me with Mount Gay Rum. Perfect a great ocean view. We had our beverages. I had this awesome looking woman sitting across from me. What more could a fella want? 5 o'clock showed up soon enough. My drink was half gone. I was thinking about the walk home should I enjoy another one of their beverages? I'll defer that answer for now. So 5 o'clock came and so did our waitress. She took an order for the fried cauliflower. It's awesome! Peggy said she doesn't know how we're going to eat our entrée? I said no problem will take it home with us the cauliflower that is although I just noticed she's sneaking more bites instead of saving it for the take-home. I had to shake my finger at her. She stuck her tongue out at me. I'm gonna quit now while I'm ahead. I did enjoy the seafood mac & cheese. And would get it again. We took home a piece of Keylime pie. Should've got two pieces it was that good. We're coming to the end of our travels here on Ana Maria Island. It will probably be a year before we get back again. Lots of great places to go. Hopefully your journey is good and you enjoy a meal here. It will be well worth your time.

A lot of the old staff came back, a great sign when we arrived. Tonight's menu felt very similar to pre-hurricane menu. We got two grouper dishes (pecan crusted and blackened over Parmesan pasta) and both were incredible. Added on shishito peppers, shrimp curry puffs, corn bread, and a very unique onion dish that I can best describe as a soup-less French onion soup. Service was excellent, and cocktails were good, if small. My only complaint was that the beer menu dropped off - they used to carry a nice variety on tap and local brews but mostly bland big-name beers now. I'll definitely be back again, glad to have it in the rotation of great local restaurants!

Drunk people dancing & filming themselves. Otherwise, outside would be nice. Table next to us was a group of 5 extremely intoxicated adults w/ a toddler. Unfortunately, food wasn't great - entrees $38-$49 for greasy potatoes, asparagus & a average sized piece of grouper covered in some sort of batter that seemed like a cracker... the entire time, you're thinking ...did this really cost $65 plus salads and drinks came to $195 for two adults -I'll stick to Shore LBK and Harry's moving forward. Better atmosphere with food that never disappoints!

Many traditional BBQ items such as ribs and baked beans are not on the menu, yet they offer other items like a Cuban sandwich. I went BBQish and ordered their Double Brisket Burger, and Canadian with a large order of Poutine. I recommend checking out the menu before you go the first time just to make sure you see something you want. My brisket burger was very tender and easy to eat. I liked it even though the caramelized onion added a burnt taste. It was a lot of food. The flavor of the poutine was subtle, and was a lot of fries. High marks on their Cuban sandwich from my dinner companion. I liked the place, liked the people, liked the other customers who we chatted with. We grabbed reservations for the outdoor area to enjoy the weather and were thankful for the shady tree cover. This time we opted for some bites and though the menus change seasonally, I would recommend anything featuring tomatoes. They use truly fantastic heirloom tomatoes that remind you what you're missing with the watery ones we get at the grocery store. Also recommend the Mediterranean Platter. It's full of veggies and the dips are YUM. As usual, the cocktails didn't disappoint. It's never a weekend in AMI without a visit here! Previous Review: 5 Stars for the best cocktails on AMI, and a craft cocktail bar vibe you wouldn't necessarily expect here. (Plus, the service is AMAZING) We walked in (no reservation) after dinner one weekend evening and we were greeted by Matt, who found us a spot at the bar. He gave us menus and a "wellness shot" -- delicious little concoction to wet your palate! Right away I was blown away by the interior and the menu. This looked like it belonged somewhere in Denver or Chicago, but I was thrilled to find it on the island! Matt helped guide us to drinks we'd like on the menu. I ordered the Purgatory, made up of Bourbon, chocolate bitters, agave and premium mezcal. It was divine!! We also ordered some warmed olives, and they were hot and so fragrant. Definitely something I'd order again at the bar. I was stoked to see they have a veggie-specific section on the food menu and can't wait to go back for dinner. I'll definitely make a reservation though, as it was pretty full. Next time, in terms of drinks, I have my eyes on the espresso martini (off menu, but saw a pic on Yelp), and the kiss kiss bang bang. Thanks to Matt and Emily who helped us with our drinks along the way. Sometimes these fabulous craft bars can be pretentious, but the service here was a huge standout. Can't wait to return!

Have been wanting to go to this place for years and finally went and unfortunately it was…read moreunderwhelming. I feel like the drinks used to be a lot more creative from what I saw on their socials and from what my friend said who went back in the day it used to be more of a speakeasy elevated cocktail vibe versus a tiki/dive bar vibe. We had to ask for the chips that are supposed to be given complimentary and then we ordered bread and soup which literally took an unnecessary like 30 mins or more to come out as we watched the people on both sides of us get their full meals before us when we got items that just had to be reheated. The tomato soup was very good once it finally came out, the rolls were good but nothing as great as the hype in my opinion for the menu. The drinks were good but honestly the starter shot given at the bar was my favorite which was a hibiscus Pom margarita which I ended up getting fully as my second drink. Service started out hot but then went downhill but that is unfortunately the standard of when gratuity is already included in a check. Then when it came time to pay it got weird when there was a simple mix up when my friend intentionally overpaid even with gratuity involved in her check and the bartender asked her if she wanted change and she said yes but never brought it back. My friend gave 3 - 20s on a $38 check (gratuity) already in but she wanted to tip a few more dollars because she is a very generous person and then when she asked about her change that's when it got weird and the bartender made it seem like she didn't understand why she wanted change instead of just apologizing for the mistake and they went back and forth for a few minutes with the bartender ending up just giving her the extra $20 back. Just left a weird taste in our mouths for the experience when I feel like any bartender would understand what she wanted to do with giving extra larger bills to split especially when she said she wanted change and it was a massive overpayment or if the thought there was a very generous tip like 30% would make sure with guest that's what they want and show appreciation if that were the case. It was just weird how it all was handled. The decor was on point for Christmas and the vibe was very casual but oldie vibes which makes sense for it being in Anna Maria island.

However, as I was walking into the restaurant, I was immediately approached by an attendant named Eric who asked, word for word, "Would you like to take care of that tip now?" I was surprised and uncomfortable by being solicited for a tip before I had even entered the restaurant. I am usually a generous tipper, but the interaction felt pushy and inappropriate. Unfortunately, when we left, Eric was waiting in the parking lot and approached us again. He ran up to my car and repeated, "Would you like to take care of that tip?" The second interaction felt even more uncomfortable than the first. I was born and raised in Manatee County and am very familiar with the parking situations on the island and the etiquette surrounding tipping. In my opinion, if tips are expected to this extent, it would be better to charge a parking fee rather than repeatedly soliciting guests for gratuities. This experience left a negative impression and affected an otherwise enjoyable outing. I hope management addresses how parking attendants interact with customers, because experiences like this can reflect poorly on the business and discourage repeat visits.

I'd love to have an entree of those babies! For entrees I ordered the burger, which honestly wasn't worth mentioning. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't memorable either. Just a burger. The star of the evening was the Snapper entree. For a little context, we had snapper at another restaurant, which my friend said was very good, but her face seemed only mildly pleased. When she took one bite of the Chateau Anna Maria snapper, she had the biggest smile on her face that she couldn't contain! I think the word she used was 'foodgasm.' I agreed, wishing I'd ordered it too. And if that weren't enough, they brought out a beautiful birthday donut served on its own little table complete with chocolate, caramel, and strawberry dipping sauces. Such a great touch! As we headed out we had some great conversation with a manager and a regional manager who happened to be in town. Both were delightful to talk to. As we exited, one of the bussers was playing the piano in the lobby. Overall a great experience, and we will be back if we're in the area!
