Parking can be tricky but available. Tables vary from family style to banquettes and high tops. There is a full bar with ample seating. Florida casual attire, after all you're on an island. I started with the French Onion Soup and my husband had the escargot. Both were excellent. For dinner, I truly enjoyed the Chateaubriand which is served atop of a carrot purée and their own potato au gratin made with Bleu cheese. These unique potatoes are pie cut and blend perfectly with the meat. It's a symphony for your tastebuds. Dessert was the owner, Buddy, mom's Ricotta Cheesecake. Homemade, Yes! Decadent, Smooth and Delicious, Oh my Yes! Want more, Definitely Yes! This restaurant is a hidden treasure. Yes, it is priced at a higher rate than most restaurants in the area, but the quality and service is also at a higher standard unlike any in our area. Loud and luxurious. That's the best way I can describe this restaurant. I was caught off-guard as we approached, wondering had I made a mistake. We were greeted very warmly by the host and led to our table which was decorated beautifully for my friend's birthday (yay!). We started with the Lamb Chop Lollipops which were amazing! I'd love to have an entree of those babies! For entrees I ordered the burger, which honestly wasn't worth mentioning. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't memorable either. Just a burger. The star of the evening was the Snapper entree. For a little context, we had snapper at another restaurant, which my friend said was very good, but her face seemed only mildly pleased. When she took one bite of the Chateau Anna Maria snapper, she had the biggest smile on her face that she couldn't contain! I think the word she used was 'foodgasm.' I agreed, wishing I'd ordered it too. And if that weren't enough, they brought out a beautiful birthday donut served on its own little table complete with chocolate, caramel, and strawberry dipping sauces. Such a great touch! As we headed out we had some great conversation with a manager and a regional manager who happened to be in town. Both were delightful to talk to. So I have mentioned to the manager that sitting at the bar, and trying to order food, or even a drink, can be impossible. Not the servers issue, it is due to the fact that the bartender is typically alone, and is responsible to make all of the drinks, for all of the tables. Some of the drinks are difficult and take time. Easy solution. There should be a server backup, who can jump behind the bar and help when needed. My last 2x there, it was not a good experience. The last time, Fathers Day, my wife and I gave up. Again, service is good, when there is the correct plan. read more

If you're looking for a quiet dinner in a nice restaurant, avoid this place. We went on a Friday evening, the bar was full, and it was LOUD inside. The noise level was above 70 decibels which is like heavy traffic at rush hour. The tables were small and pushed close together. We had to lean across the table to have any conversation and hearing the waitress was a real challenge. My duck confit ($38) wasn't what I expected. Instead of a duck leg with tender meat and crisp skin, I got pieces of duck meat in a rich sauce. It was tasty but not a traditional duck confit. The grilled pork loin ($34) was done just right. Chardonnay @ $11 a glass was fine. A beet side salad was $8 and tasted very good. Service from Sara M was prompt and courteous. Overall it was good but not great because of the noise, the table spacing and the disappointing duck confit. I doubt if we'll ever eat there again. read more

Valentine's Dinner at The Chateau was perfect! We chose the earliest reservation (4:15pm - because, well, we're oldish!) The prix fixe menu was delightful and had a lot of great choices. We had the chateaubriand (surprise, it came with a lobster tail !) Very delish and the perfect temperature. We also had the Bronzino which was also delicious (but watch out for those fish bones!) The dessert choices were great and we chose the Chocolate Eruption cake and the cheesecake - both were delish! Been wanting to come here for sometime for French food since that is hard to find in Florida but it was not what I expected because they don't really have much of a French menu. It's just a mix match of all different types of cuisine. They have pizza menu now which is not online nor French style, it's more Italian. Their hours online are mixed up from what it actually is in the restaurant - says dinner starts at 4:30p but it's actually 5p. Le Premier menu has 3 different times only, 3-5, 4-5 and 4-6p so that's all mixed up. Went for Happy hour. Got the burger but as soon as I touched the bun it was quite cold and the cheese was not melted on to the burger well. Asked for medium-well and got a little less of medium. They were out of one of the ingredients, the tomato marmalade, for the burger. I still ate it since I liked the garlic aioli and red onion jam but it is not good enough to come back for. The bartender was fine. Restaurant is inside the Marriot hotel. Ambiance is rustic French style. No hotel parking available but next to it was a big lot for the marina which we were told was okay to park in. read more

Extremely overpriced for the quality and portions of the food. Calamari was served in an extremely small cup with barely enough for everyone. Lamb lollipops were small and only 3 in an order. We also found the dinners to be overpriced for what you get, the chefs cut wasn't cooked how it was asked and extremely bland in all other aspects. Looking for a place to have dinner last Thursday we stumbled upon the Château Anna Maria and are so happy that we did. We quickly did a reservation on Open table and they were able to accommodate the two of us. We were seated at a lovely table for two. They also had an amazing saxophone player that added to the ambience very nicely. Our server Aron was very friendly and made some excellent suggestions. We enjoyed some wine from the bar and a delicious shrimp cocktail for our appetizer. I tried the grilled chateaubriand, which consisted of a 7 ounce fillet with a delicious red wine sauce, carrot purée, accompanied by some fingerling potatoes. The filet was cooked perfectly and everything was delicious. My husband had the short ribs and he said they were delicious as well.We also appreciated that you were able to do substitutions on the sides if you so desire at no additional price. Stopped in for dinner at one of our favorite spots on Anna Maria Island. We enjoyed an Arugula Roasted Beet Salad with goat cheese, walnuts and a white balsamic lime vinaigrette. It was very good, lite and refreshing. For entrees we selected the Grilled Chateaubriand (8oz) Filet with blue cheese potato au gratin and a Pan Seared Red Snapper. The filet was amazing and the potatoes with blue cheese were out of this world good. The very generous portion of snapper did not disappoint. The fish was well seasoned, perfectly cooked and accompanied by saffron risotto. For dessert we shared the key lime pie, which we've had countless times before. The delicate key lime, with specs of real lime, and graham cracker crust make this dessert a must have with each visit. We paid $65 each for Easter brunch and the whole experience it was miserable and the food we wouldn't have fed to our dogs. The course one appetizers were tiny and took an hour to come out. Each drink was $16 and took 35 minutes. I got the salmon and it was a small 4 x 4 piece of rubber. The prime rib which was supposed to be cooked medium came out raw and unedible, unable to be cut through with the steak knife provided. The French toast entrée was rock hard and the person who ordered it is quoted to "it tastes like stones". We all got green beans for our side, which were raw and crunchy. We were barely acknowledged by our server. Now sitting here, hungry and thirsty with a $300 bill for three people who are hungry and have hardly eaten anything. read more

Between us we have been to Chateau Anna Maria perhaps ten times. It wasn't our first choice as it's not a favorite. We thought to give it a go today since we were just across the way where we couldn't get a table. There were lots of tables at Chateau Anna Maria. Everyone was probably across the way which is why we couldn't get a table. Except for the drinks it was, as usual, disappointing. That said, the bartender had vanished and it took a half hour and three requests to get our drinks. The egg portions were very small. I don't think the omelet was even a whole egg. I think it may have come from a carton. Calling a thin dollop of "egg" with a few tiny dices of something vegetal in it with a handful of home fries tossed on top a "frittata" doesn't actually make it a frittata. The home fries were uniform, tasteless cubes that might as well have been made of soy. The lobster, which I asked for on the side so as to enjoy it in all its glory, was absolutely horrible; overcooked, fishy... I tried saving it with butter and lemon but it was a lost cause. Only one of the four of us enjoyed the meal and he will eat pretty much anything that's not spicy. Even so, it took til the end of the meal to even get the side slice of French toast he ordered. Nothing was plated with any care and the Valentine's Day decor was pitiful. Our server, Araceli, is a lovely young woman who did her best. We all appreciated her effort in spite of her being shouted at by the "chef" (appalling!). She graciously removed the offending meals from the table and the bill. Let me end by saying, yes, we are Florida. We are very casual. It's part of our charm. I'm certain that shouting chefs and a hostess with her belly showing is not the "charm" that Chateau Anna Maria, never mind Marriott Corporation, intends to present. read more

I will say that some of the food was really delicious like the lobster rolls and some of the desserts, however, the presentation of the food was really sloppy and felt like a buffet in a banquet hall, some of the dishes were OK and a few of them were just bad (scrambled eggs, quiche, bacon) definitely nothing to write home about and l've certainly been to much nicer brunch buffets read more

This restaurant thinks its customers should be grateful to be allowed to spend their money there, and insults you if you complain about bad service and wrong food! In early June 2023 I had a family reunion at the Marriott Waterline Villas, where The Chateau Anna Maria is located. I ate and drank at this restaurant 3 times, and to say that I am underwhelmed would be a gross understatement. Our group consisted of about 20 people and we spent a pretty penny at "The Chateau". The first night the service was just okay, but the food was really delicious so I didn't think much of it. The second night, however, things went from just okay to downright insulting. Our group got back to the hotel from a sunset sail at about 9. The restaurant said they could seat us, and we were split between two long tables. Since we were so late, we went with it, although we would have loved to all sit together. A server took our order and that was the last service we got for over half an hour! We didn't even get water! Other tables got bread, we were told there was no more bread. Servers milled about asking other patrons how everything was while we didn't even get the Diet Coke, ice tea and two apple juices we ordered 30 minutes earlier. I walked up to a woman who appeared to be the manager and complained. After a little bit of arguing with me, she apologized and said we would get served right away. Following that a busboy brought water to the table and said they were baking bread especially for us. When I asked how come other tables were getting bread when they were supposed to be out, he argued with me. I asked him not to talk back to me when I haven't had any service for 40 minutes at a restaurant where the CHEAPEST dinner is $28!! He walked away and then returned a few minutes later, looked me straight in the face and said "you should be THANKFUL thank we are accommodating you at this hour". I was flabbergasted that he would be so brazen and rude. I asked if he was seriously saying this to me right now and he responded "yes, I am, because YOU are not being polite and respectful to ME!" At this point I and a few other people in my party walked out of the restaurant. After a while the manager I spoke with earlier came out and apologized. She assured us the person had been sent home, apologized on behalf of the Foy Family, and said they would comp our meal. Because my young children (7 and 4) were very hungry and it was quite late, we decided to stay and finish our dinner. We proceeded to receive the wrong drinks and the wrong food. I ordered a Diet Coke, I received a regular Pepsi. I My husband ordered an unsweet tea and a Caesar salad, he got sweet tea and a wedge salad. And they didn't even make it right, they told him to just eat the wedge salad, which he did not order. For the sake of the rest of the family, and because the meal was being comped, we did not complain further. Our comped meals, by the way, consisted of three salads, so I can't really say I was blown away by their generosity. As we were leaving, the manager approached me again, asked if we would still be keeping our breakfast reservations the next morning. I said yes and she assured me that the rude busboy would NOT be there. She said she wanted us to be comfortable and happy. I thanked her for that. The next morning we walked into the restaurant to have our breakfast and the FIRST person I saw there is that busboy! The one who I was told would not be there. All the anger and anxiety and frustration from the night before came back and completely ruined my last morning with my family. Especially since this kid never apologized and was now walking around with a smug smirk on his face. I felt completely disrespected and undervalued by the staff. Even my children, who were upset that their mother had been treated unfairly the night before, became distraught when they saw the same server there again. On top of that my omelet was extremely dry and was missing the cheese I asked for. The home fries were also dry and tasteless. My husband ordered an omelet with mushrooms, spinach and cheese, he got sausage and spinach, no cheese. My father in law didn't even get his meal until almost everyone was done eating. For the prices they charge, the service should be TOP NOTCH! This is quite honestly THE WORST service I've ever gotten, including from fast food and chain restaurants. Hell I've had better service from food trucks! I emailed the owners through their website twice about what happened and never got so much as a response. I will never return. read more
