We were looking for a place to eat on the waterfront that also had live music and we found it! I had the blackened Grouper Sandwich, which was very good. I am adding 1 star for the view of the water and 1 star for the fact people can smoke at the bar. I give 0 stars for the food and drinks. We ordered the spinach artichoke shrimp appetizer. Ummm no. We ordered the blackened grouper sandwich. Nope. The crabcakes sandwich. Nope and some purple cocktail that was so bad we sent them back. We should have known by the cocktails it was not promising. It's way overpriced and crappy service. Do yourselves a favor. Get up walk a few spots down to the little blue house. They offer 4% discount if pay with cash. However, when I received my bill, the menu items were upcharge 4% from what was posed on their menu. NO mention of upcharge. So the bill ads up the upcharged items, calculated the sales tax and presents the upcharged total. Just below the upcharged total is a cash total which is 4% discounted from the upcharge total. Where then is the cash discount? Not from the menu prices. This is deceiving the customer, very bad. read more

This was a great place to pull the boat in and eat during a day on the water. Most everyone in our party had the grouper sandwich in some form or another (grilled, blackened, fried) and all were satisfied. Great outdoor seating around the bar under the trees at the piers edge and close to Historic Bridge Street shopping. Definitely a place I'd go back to! A local favorite of ours. Food is ALWAYS great Staff verybattentive and friendly. The atmosphere cannot be beat as its located on the water in Bradenton Beach. We frequent this place and often bring out of town guests and family members and have never yet ... Not once had a bad experience here! Fun Fact: If you are a Green Bay Packers Fan youll fit right in at the 8nside bar area that is completely decked out in GBP Items amd Memorabilia. The owner might just be one of Green Bays biggest fans. Live music is a plus here as is the outdoir tiki bar setup they offer located directly across the street from the main restaurant. It's rare, but *occasionally* after a week of gorging on nothing but fresh seafood, I like a little something to break up the monotony. Enter the Bridge Tender Inn's bar bites. Between the Coconut Shrimp with Piña Colada dipping sauce and the Blackened Grouper Sandwich, husband and I ordered heaping plate of Half-and-Half Nachos: tortilla chips piled high with black beans on one half, homemade chili on the other, and then smothered in lettuce, tomato, cheese, pickled jalapeños, olives, red onions, sour cream, guacamole, and salsa. I do so love nachos -- there's something sloppy and indulgent about digging into a pile of them -- and BTI's were excellent. Paired them with some ice cold draught beers and enjoyed ourselves immensely. The Coconut Shrimp with crunchy, shredded coconut coating, were good...the Piña Colada sauce, however, was a bit too sweet and cloying for my liking. The Blackened Grouper Sammie was decent, too. Not the best example of the noble fish we ate, but decent nonetheless. The side of thick-cut, beer-battered onion rings that came with it were mouth-watering. As with most other restaurants in Florida, ordering the grouper sandwich as opposed to a grouper dinner will save you mucho dinero -- sammies typically come prepared your way (grilled, fried, blackened, or sautéed) and include a side. Dinners typically come your way and include two sides for twice the price as a sandwich. Just sayin'. Ordering a sammie and eating the filet without the bun makes more economic sense it seems. BTI's location on the water at the end of Bridge Street makes for nice al fresco dining as well. Good spot if you're in the area. read more

This place has lots of character and a great location, which are definitely its most attractive features. The service can be a little less than mediocre, depending where you are sitting. We sat on the inside area, near the bar. The bartender was the only one working that area, and he he had more than he could handle. I had the coconut shrimp, which was delicious. The dipping sauce that it came with, however, was really bad (a sweet, white, creamy sauce). I would recommend the dish, but maybe order some cocktail sauce with it (even though it comes out in a gelatinous lump, it tasted okay). Across the street is a tiki bar with a lot of seating. There isn't any running water at the tiki bar, so no draft beer, but we had great service. And the location of the tiki bar is literally right beside the water. They had some salty entertainment, sort of like a sea captain with a guitar, but we really enjoyed it. I do recommend this place for fun, and I recommend sitting in the tiki bar area (you can order from the full menu there). Hard to find parking in this area. read more

Was one of my favorite places to eat . The food selection has changed and is much less quality than in the past. Nice scenery and location. I ordered chicken schnitzel it was not schnitzel not pounded or even breaded it was a plain grilled chicken patty with some kind of seasoning on it In fairness their deep fryers were down so I made sure to order something pan fried. It was ok and we were pretty hungry from a day on the beach. Then my father in law was verbally reprimanded by parking lot attendant for grabbing his fishing rods out of the car we were leaving but he was going to stay and fish with his grand kids as we finished to pay the bill . Guy was rude and unapologetic for his mistake. There are many other options near by I would try them instead. read more
