We've been here a few times -- the flavor isn't really my style, but my kids actually like it even though it's a bit spicy for them. Love that they use black rice, and the little candy they hand out with the bill is such a cute touch. And the broth for the brisket mul-naengmyeon tastes really different from the usual spots!

We were around the area and I was claiming cold noodle. Glad we decided to check this place out! We pretty much cleaned out our plates! Everything was delicious. Service was great and quick. The staff were pleasant and cheerful. Overall, we highly recommend

The food was really delicious! I thought the brisket was a unique touch and cold noodles are the perfect dish on a hot summer day. Parking is a small parking lot and very difficult. I parked on a meter street. Service is great and it's a small place. It's tucked all the way in the corner of the plaza.

Ordered the medium Premium Bossam Boiled in Various Herbs and the Prime Beef Bulgogi with Glass Noodle and everything was sooo yummy especially when paired with the banchan. A few pieces of the pork were a little on the dry side but the flavor made up for it. Both dishes for lunch were more than enough for four people. Service was really quick and friendly. Got there around noon on a Monday and there were a few other groups but no wait at all. Would def recommend!!

Love the beef intestine trip soup so much! I tried the seafood food and it was also awesome. They have a promotion for dumplings and blood sausage. The service was great and we look the atmosphere in the restaurant.

Rating: (5/5) Visited Yukdaejang K-Town on a Saturday night with 3 friends. We were lucky to walk in and get a table right away. Budae Jjigae (Korean Army Soup) - $47.99 Packed with spam, sausage, tofu, rice cakes, mushrooms, and noodles. Rich, flavorful, and comforting--perfect for a chilly evening. Steamed Bossam (Small) - $21.99 Tender, smoky, and juicy. Paired with lettuce and sauce, it's not greasy and very satisfying. Portions are generous, flavors authentic, and the menu has plenty of other options like braised short ribs, cold noodles, and dumplings. Great spot for Korean comfort food in LA! Tip: It can get busy on weekends, so reservations are recommended.

This place is amazing. We ordered their signature braised beef ribs -- the meat was so tender it practically fell off the bone. The veggies soaked up all the flavor from the broth -- pumpkin, enoki mushrooms, glass noodles, and rice cakes were all super tasty and full of that rich soup flavor. So comforting! The beef soup itself was really fresh and flavorful, with plenty of ingredients. I also have to give a shoutout to the kimchi -- it's seasoned exactly the way I like it!

Original Yuk Gae Jang with Handmade Pasta... the pasta is nice and chewy!
    Cindy S.

The spicy beef noodle soup (not too spicy) with the fresh pasta is mighty delicious. Their seafood version of the soup is also a favorite of mine. Any savory stews or noodle soup you can't go wrong here. I didn't care for the Bossam, meaning I had better versions before. Yuk Dae Jang is a well-known restaurant brand from Korea, the food here is authentic and so good! Multiple locations come to mind in Southern California: Irvine, San Gabriel, Koreatown, Gardena, and beyond. -Parking on the premises of the mini-mall;although tight. -Payment: Credit and Cash.

I tried this spot a couple weeks ago for the first time since my og spot is closed on Wednesdays, but I'm very picky with my Soondubu and this is the second place in k town I love for it! I'm gonna gatekeep the first but I'm sure everyone knows it. This is def is being added to my rotation for the price, portion, quality and taste this SLAPS! Certainly has a slight modern take with the addition of noodles to your soup but it certainly does not compromise on authenticity!!! The side dishes were also very good which is a huge indicator of how good the k food is! It's simple but flavorful and comforting! The service was very nice and quick. The ladies were very helpful with modifications I wanted. The ambiance was very welcoming and clean as well! Usually hole in the walls are a bit dusty but everything seemed very up to par cleanliness! They will be seeing me again very frequently if they stay consistent with quality, flavor and cleanliness

Got the ramyun noodles and it was really good! Broth was yummy and really hits the spot if you're craving something soupy. The dumplings were good, ended up adding those to the broth/ noodles. The boksam was pretty good. It's placed on top of a burner which is different from other places.

Premium bossam/Premium Pork Belly in House Special Soy Sauce
    Alex J.

Oh man this place is fantastic. Service is great and fast, food is fantastic. Banchan was stellar all around. Kimchi was crunchy and tasty, fish cakes were soft and chewy, pickled veggies were so crunchy and spicy. The Yukgaejung with ramyun was so tasty, with a slight kick, tons of perfectly cooked ramen, tender brisket, and loads of veggies. The flavor was so smooth but bold that coats your mouth. The highlight is the premium bossam in house special soy sauce. The onions soak up all the sauce and become soft and sweet. The pork belly is cut at just the right thickness, not fatty or chewy at all, and the meat is so soft while soaking up all that delicious sauce. I love the accompaniments like the salty squid, garlic, rice, and more. Prices are great for the portion sizes and quality. I will definitely be back

What seemed like a deceptively simple bowl was one of the most delicious and flavorful meals I've had - I'll be thinking about my bowl for a long time. I got the plain kalgaksu, mainly because it included pork potstickers. The anchovy broth isn't fishy (which I was concerned about), it's deep and full in a way that's hard to describe. It penetrates the noodles and potatoes well. The broth is similar if not the same between most bowl types. The cold noodles were also delicious, which a couple of my friends ordered. Quite large portions, as just about everyone had to take some home. They also have bibimbap if you're craving a rice based meal instead. I can't wait to come back - maybe not on a Saturday night next time so I don't have to look so long for parking!

The plaza has mandatory valet parking which was $5 but they parked our car right next to the dumpster and we had to back up to get in which wasn't great. Not at all fault of the restaurant at all but valet is just something to be aware of for this plaza. The interior was a little small and I liked the ambience. The service was okay and we came for a late lunch around 2 pm so there was no wait. Owner or manager did talk to someone they knew for a part of our service and it was a deadish hour for customers so it was a little hard to flag someone down to pay. We ordered a variety of dishes: tonkatsu, blood sausage stew, mixed thin cooked noodle, and spicy sweet sour chicken. It's a little bit on the pricier side but I expected it from a mom n pop shop in ktown. There was a variety of banchan that I liked and the pickled radish was especially yummy. The tonkatsu and blood sausage stew came out first. My brother thought the tonkatsu was alright but a little dry. The blood sausage stew was the star of the meal. It's very hearty and a little heavy which I loved. It has a lot of components in it (pork blood sausage, leeks, black pepper, pork intestine, Napa cabbage, and lettuce) and it paired nicely with the complimentary white rice. I'd come back for this stew itself and give it a 5/5. The thin cold noodles came out next and it looked delicious but it was very saucy. I think it's to be expected with this noodle but I would've preferred less sauce so it would be more refreshing and less heavy. I thought the taste was decent and it went well with the cucumbers. The chicken came out last and it was disappointing. The image on the menu obviously looked better but for $23.95, the taste and the portion were not up to par. I kind of expected it to taste better than regular sweet and sour chicken and I think it was a little ridiculous to charge nearly $24 for that small platter. The sauce was tasty but the chicken was a little chewy and stringy so it just tasted average overall. There was a lot of leftover that we took home and the total meal for 3 costed $80. The whole meal was not bad overall but I wouldn't order the same items I got and would just try the stews.

Also important to note that rice was NOT included! The brisket add on came as a pre-cooked brisket that was added in after, as it didn't initially fit in the pot. The staff member told us at the time that broth refills were free. However, when it came time for refills, they said it was only one time - poor communication.
