So good! Shout out to Victoria for the recommendation. Located in a bustling plaza in ktown, it was such a vibe watching the Korea play in the World Cup while enjoying dinner. Service was very warm, friendly, and efficient. The food was outstanding - super flavorful and well executed.

The pork bone neck soup is definitely a must try here, very authentic and flavorful, been here for years and always order it Service can be a little slow sometimes but generally when I'm on a rush take it to go, they are usually very fast and with side dishes attached as well so very convenient for sure The ambiance is like a typical restaurant, and it is in a plaza with valet parking option so can be a little pricy, and parking in Korea town has always been a historically well know mission impossible challenge so maybe worth it There's a few desert and drink place nearby also if you want grab something after, overall for site be a great place to drop by or to go as needed!

We just moved nearby and we were starving after we had spent all morning unpacking. Our original plan was to get black bean noodles nearby, but we passed this place and decided to come in here instead. Everything was a hit and was so happy to have some good food after being exhausted from our move. It's a mom and pop shop so it's no frills but definitely a good spot for Korean food.

Stopped by this place because Hangari (our usual place) was closed. It was empty because it was after the lunch rush on a weekday. The server was very attentive and made sure we were taken care of! I ordered a hot stone bibimbap and my gf got a soondubu. Really good food and great service.

Small little restaurant. I appreciate menus with pictures. We ordered kimchi pancake, pork neck soup casserole and sweet and sour pork. The kimchi pancake it was okay. The pork neck soup I had high expectations. I thought it was just okay too. The flavor doesn't excite my taste bud. However, the sweet and sour pork saved my taste bud. That's definitely my highlight of the meal. We did ask for the sauce on the side. Parking: Valet or street parking. Parking will always be difficult in k-town. Especially on the weekends.

Went around 11:30 AM on a weekday and it wasn't crowded. I got the pork neck bone soup and the cold noodles--both were absolutely delicious. The server was super nice and even gave us an extra cup of soup to take home since we had leftovers. Parking, however, was a hassle. It's shared with several restaurants in the plaza and only offers valet. Valet is supposed to be $5, but they SCAMMED us into paying $10 just because we didn't pick up the car immediately after leaving the restaurant. We were still walking around and checking out the nearby stores. Next time, I'll park on the street or at a meter--way cheaper. NEVER parking there again.

Unfortunately, this place was a miss for you. Their side dishes are all a little off, and I ordered the kimchi soup, and it really was mostly kimchi. It barely had any protein, which I feel like most other Korean restaurants put a good amount of protein inside too. My husband however, loves the pork shoulder soup.

Not much meat with the beef short rib soup

Maybe im not the target audience for this restaurant..... Beef short rib soup - not hot, just warm - less meat than other places - smaller than other places - normally take the soup home but not here, all gone Beef Bulgogi - plate not sizzling like at other places so onions did not cook - mostly ligament in the meat (see my photo) - not marinated enough like other places Banchan - no potato salad - overall underwhelming compared to others Solid 3 stars for a restaurant that opens til 11:30pm on a Tuesday but will go to other restaurants.

We haven't been to this restaurant for several years. So I decided to bring my family and friends after church. They have the best Budae Jigae...aka army stew...is the best in the country! That's right...best in the country! If you haven't tried it...you haven't lived! Also their Ganjatang is so delicious...over filled with Pork meat...easily make that into two meals! I highly recommend this restaurant! Will be coming back soon again! Worth the drive from Valencia!

I got the Bibimbap with beef. Delicious and freshly made! Just wish there was more pieces of meat. The Banchan selection was yummy. Fast service and our food was delivered promptly. Would definitely come back if in the Downtown LA area.

The ultimate Korean comfort food in ktown! This place almost feels like a hidden gem while it's surrounded by hangari kalguksu and sun nong dan. We got the pork neck bone soup and beef and cabbage soup, and the broth is such a spicy and good feeling to sip on. It's not insanely spicy, but over time you'll notice your mouth starting to tingle a bit. The meat is tender, and they don't skimp out on the side dishes! Eating in LA, I expected to spend a lot of money but we split the two soups among three people (each soup comes with one bowl of rice) and we had some soup leftover. This was surprisingly affordable and exactly what we needed to warm us up.

Came for dinner on a weeknight. It was surprisingly really cold inside, but once the food came out, it made sense. They bring out a hot plate and the heat of the food alone brings up the temperature. Hot Stone Tofu Bibimbap - A huge portion and comes on a hot stone plate, which, as a slow eater, I appreciated. The ratio of vegetables to rice was perfect. They even provided Gochujang in a separate container so you can decide your spiciness level. Flavors of the vegetables themselves were seasoned well. Really enjoyed this place. We got service quickly and our food came out timely. Lots of vegetarian/vegan options. Prices were good for the amount of food you get. Definitely coming back!

Do they do a fried rice dish after the gamjatang like they do in Seoul?

    Not as of now

For the famous "Braised short ribs with cheese", is it ok i can ask for mild instead of spicy? Also is the beef short ribs tender or hard to chew out the meat from bone? Thanks

Not sure if you can ask for mild but their mild always spicy anyway . The short ribs are tender

How's this place for takeout or delivery? I don't want to end up with hot soup in a styrofoam making my food taste like styrofoam.

Personally I didn't think the food quality was the best, but they packaged it really well! Soup came in plastic containers and they packed some banchan too. Only the rice came in styrofoam when I ordered delivery.

    Do they accept one person?

To dine in? I see a lot of the singular ppl coming in and the waiters seat them to one whole table by themselves.

We ordered the medium bossam, galbi kalguksu, perilla seed kalguksu and spicy pork. There were 5 of us but the portions were so generous, we had enough food with some bossam left over. The bossam was amazing! The best we've tasted. We all loved the perilla seed kalguksu due to its taste and also bc it's so healthy for you. The owner came by to check how we liked the galbi kalguksu since it was a newly created dish and we told her that it was delicious, seasoned just right. Before the meal, as they brought out the side dishes, they brought out barley rice with denjang on top to mix with yeol-moo kimchi. That was a special touch. We absolutely loved the food there. What seemed like a deceptively simple bowl was one of the most delicious and flavorful meals I've had - I'll be thinking about my bowl for a long time. I got the plain kalgaksu, mainly because it included pork potstickers. The anchovy broth isn't fishy (which I was concerned about), it's deep and full in a way that's hard to describe. It penetrates the noodles and potatoes well. The broth is similar if not the same between most bowl types. The cold noodles were also delicious, which a couple of my friends ordered. Quite large portions, as just about everyone had to take some home. They also have bibimbap if you're craving a rice based meal instead. I can't wait to come back - maybe not on a Saturday night next time so I don't have to look so long for parking!

Terrible service, food is MID at best. I don't drink alcohol either. No bonchon was served to us although others around were getting appetizers and small plates. I am extremely polite to my servers regardless of how terrible the service was. Left a 25% tip on a $100 check. Left and absolutely am never coming back to this sorry excuse for a restaurant. WEST LA native born and raised. There are MUCH better options in the area that provide better customer service and have more polite workers. The people working there are over worked to the bone. It is almost like they make you feel bad for coming to their business and ordering food. I don't come to K-Town for "customer service" or even polite servers. I come for good food. I believe there is a thin line between authenticity and being extremely rude. This restaurant leans heavily on the pretentious rude side. Again, want to apologize for eating at your restaurant. God forbid I was hungry and wanted to order off your menu, please forgive me.
