What is the parking situation? Is it free or metered? Is it public parking if we wanted to walk around Shelter Island after dinner or only for guests?

Lynn is correct. A large lot with metered parking. You only have to feed the meters until 6:00pm. The very south part of the lot has quite a few non-metered spots but they are not always available. You can certainly leave your car and walk around,…

I have been calling for the past hour and no one answers. Are you open? Do you have patio seating? Do you take reservations?

Unfortunately we are temporarily closed at this time due to Covid-19. We will reopen as soon as we are allowed indoor dining.

    Are they wheelchair assessable?

Hi Michael, All of our restaurants, including the Brigantine at 2725 Shelter Island Dr., are wheelchair accessible.…

It has a great open air rooftop vibe with good food and service. Their prices are reasonable and serving sizes are generous. We had the salmon poke, house salad, a couple oysters and fish tacos. The fish tacos are HUGE so you really don't need two if you're trying other things or get a couple and share. Also really loved the salad, and they make their own dressings so even better and they top it with capers gave it that salty deliciousness. Fresh cut veggies and So good! The poke needed a little pizzaz so I added a little heat to it and soy sauce, I felt the flavors came out more well balanced. I did not enjoy the rice wonton chips (no flavor there) but you could eat the poke alone it was so fresh. My friend enjoyed the oysters. But those fish tacos!! I was not in love with the salmon, it was a little overcooked for my liking. Also the blackening did not have the kick I'd hoped for and is anticipated with blackened. But the grouper with the chipotle butter...hit hard! So good!!! I'd absolutely come back for those tacos. I woke up thinking about them. We may try their ocean beach location today, because they have cocktails that look pretty darn good along side those fish tacos. Parking is tough here, and the line was out the door after 5 pm...so plan accordingly...but 100% worth it. We were watching everything come out of the kitchen, and it is shockingly a well run machine. Things came out fast, looked beautiful and the flavors were well done. I'd like to try their grilled fish next time.

Every dish was fantastic, and the staff made the whole evening feel special. One fun detail -- they had the cutest chicken-shaped water jug on our table, and I was tempted to buy one as a keepsake! It was a bit pricier than I wanted to spend, but it definitely added to the charm of the night. We'll definitely be back to celebrate again.

We visited for my husband's birthday started with Impepata Di Cozze (mussels). Very fresh and large mussels in a light broth with croutons. Our main dish was the Gnocchi Salsiccia Porcini e Tartufo. Some of the best gnocchi I've had. This dish comes with bone marrow which is steeped in the dish. Birthday dessert is their table side tiramisu. Absolutely delicious! I also ordered the cannolis. They were not to my liking as I'm used to the ricotta being sweeter but the presentation was adorable! The outside patio is very cute but it was a hit night and flies were buzzing around. Can't help that but next time I'll sit inside. The staff was so friendly and helpful!

Not overly flavorful but not under seasoned. Decent portion of fish. Coleslaw was sans mayo (which is great since I'm not a fan of mayo, but it was oily. I had only ever ordered chowder before so I was really excited to eat in the restaurant. He ordered the fish and chips and an order of their Fish Shop shrimp and I ordered fried shrimp and chips along with some fountain drinks, then we went to our seats. It was lunch time and we were really lucky because they started picking up as we got our food, which came out soooo quickly. My shrimps were huge, like woah, so tender and juicy and the batter is perfect. The chips are really nice seasoned and perfectly crisp. The tartar sauce is so good, the chunky dill (I think) make it so fresh and the cocktail sauce was so good, does it have a little bit of bbq because it doesn't taste like your average cocktail sauce! I did taste some of Edi's Fish Shop shimp and the seasoning blackened on the shrimp and it was delicious, so good. Since I work really close I will definitely come back because I want to try their shrimp ceviche next. I can't wait to come back!

It showcases a lot of what…read moreSan Diego has to offer with its seafood, water views and outdoor patio seating to soak in the sun. It's located right along the marina where a lot of boats go out so expect the area to be crowded and touristy. But that being said, it's also a great spot to people watch and you can bring your dog. This is a pretty casual place so you place your order inside and your number will be called once your order is ready. I was impressed with how quickly it was ready considering the large amount of orders they had. The seafood: very good selection and fresh. This visit I tried the ceviche which honestly wasn't impressive. It had too much lemon or lime and had too much filler (onions & tomatoes) and too little fish. I expected an amazing ceviche packed with different seafood. But the chips were good. Next up was the ahi tuna sashimi, so delicious and melt in your mouth. Finally for the entree, the combo plate hit the spot with fish & chips, fried shrimp and crab cake. All tasted fresh and was darn good, just a lot of fried foods. But treat yourself, right?! To conclude, I would definitely recommend for seafood in a nice outdoor setting. Just know that parking can be difficult sometimes.

It has been over five years since we have eaten there. The last time we felt the experience was mediocre. Unfortunately, they have not improved. They have a great location and an upstairs balcony that overlooks the marina and downtown San Diego. The employees are friendly and our service time was acceptable. Between 3-6pm they have a Happy Hour on draft beers and some different food items. We had two Fish Sandwiches, some Onion Rings and two draft Beers. Thank goodness for the beers, because the rest of our food was barely edible. The Fish Sandwiches were two pieces of Sourdough bread, a small dollop of something like mayo or tartar sauce and two fried pieces of fish. We had to open them up to see if there was anything on them other than the fish because at first we could not see or taste anything. To eat them we put catsup and hot sauce on them. I have never not finished Onion Rings in my life, but this was a first. They were so over cooked and tasteless. Blah! If it wasn't for the cold draft beers this would be a one-star review. We will not be going back and it is a shame because of the great location.
