He can install it onto the wall but made wrong assessment s of the gauge of the wiring when all he needed to do was turn the dial to adjust the mode. He doesn't like to read the instructions even on items that he doesn't fully comprehend. Therefore, I would avoid using him on the electrical side. The Ugly: Hank is impulsive. I understood he is an older gentleman and it's hot in the garage but he kept dropping profanity like skittles even when the kids are closer by. Additionally he acts before he thinks. He ripped open the Tesla Wall Charger box before he even agreed to install it so return became impossible. Then he proceeded to "renegotiate" the cost of install because he had installed one earlier but took it off deeming the charger and wiring to not work when it was his lack of knowledge to change the settings. He kept flipping between getting paid by the job and getting paid by the effort spent. I ended up paying him for the lift that was complete at his "job minimum," which was higher than his original and renegotiated quote for that job, but did not pay for the rest of the job not done. This was not a pleasant experience. Bottomline, Hank installed the storage lift well so I was pretty happy with that. He is a good installer and a good man who seems to have a lot going on. However, the constant renegotiation, miscommunication, attitude, and lack of expertise made this a rough experience. Overall 2/5 for effort, but I would not recommend his services.

He sincerely apologized to me and said he was so very sorry his technician did not perform his job on Friday. He stated Our appointment did include installing the new ceiling fan and the installer is fairly new with the company and he should have installed it that day. So after Stephan explained the situation I now know it was not the fault of the company. Sadly this new installer decided to make his own decision that hurt the company's reputation. I am willing to give O'Hagan Electric another chance. O'Hagan Electric wants to make up for what happened and gain my trust as a customer. Stephan immediately scheduled an appointment for Tuesday morning and also took $150 off my bill. I will update again after the work is complete. UPDATE#2 Tristynn arrived within 10 minutes of my 2 hour window for my appointment. He text me to say he was on his way. Tristynn explained the whole process of adding a ceiling fan in my family room. Him and his co-worker did a fantastic job!!! Super clean job and very thorough. It looks fantastic !! I would now give O'Hagan Electric a 10 star review if I could but they definitely deserves the highest of 5 stars!!!!

GFCI circuit tripped last night and I could not reset it even at the panel (tried a few YouTube videos to no avail- time for the pros!) This morning, went to Yelp to find an electrician. Bright Idea Electric came up and I reached out to them. Karina (his assistant) contacted me back quickly and was able to schedule Todd to come out same day - within a few hours. Todd was on time, polite and was able to find & repair the root cause of the problem (an old exterior outlet) in less than an hour. I had electric fault in my house. In one section of the house lights just would not turn on. I tried to figure out any loose connection myself but no luck. I saw great reviews for Bright Idea Electric and asked for their help. Todd and Dave came and figured out the fault quickly. They re-routed the circuit. Everything working fine now. I've been using Bright Idea for quite a while (probably 10+ visits over the past 4-5 years) on all sorts of challenging electrical issues. Plugs in odd places, enhancements to lighting, exhaust fans and even conduit in the backyard that needed power to a pergola. Todd has done it all and been both professional and extremely talented in his work. Todd and Dave showed when promised and did an amazing job. I live in a condo and they were able to work around all of the pipes and electrical lines of my neighbors to add the new electrical line I requested, they also fixed my broken plug. They replaced 3 switches/faceplates that were not part of the estimate but did not charge any extra for the parts. I love the fact they patched the drywall. The entire project is done, I don't have to bring in someone else to patch things up. read more

I own a the condo built back in the 1960s ad Todd had to replace all the wires, plugs, switch, ceiling lights, electrical panel, update water heater connections, adding air condition and heating wiring and pullout connectors, washer / dryer wiring and much more. Robert came to my house upon a referral from a friend and is definitely a competent electrician. He…read moreknows his stuff. The problem is that he does not stand behind his work. I hired Robert to install a Tesla wall charger I purchased. When I came home, he decided to install the charger that came with the car and modify it to work with the 220 outlet. This would give me 80% of the value, and then I'd be able to sell the wall charger to recoup my costs. The caveat was that I now had to run a cord underneath my garage door. He assured me that the cord could handle the weight of the door. Sure enough, a year later, the cord has now failed. I called Robert explaining this, and he told me that I must have driven over the cord and that I was trying to fleece him for a new charger. That is simply not the case. Not to mention physically impossible based off the cord setup. Secondly, Robert bills per hour intend to talk a lot. I listened to him for 90 minutes while he explained how Bluetooth works, which might have been helpful for someone that isn't a seasoned software developer like myself. I entertained his stories to be polite and begrudgingly sat there as he explained to me how to download an app and then connect to my light switch. I thought I was being polite, but then it turned around and I was billed for that time. This is not okay because his hourly rate is nothing to sneeze at. I wrote the engagement off as pricey, but the work was good, and I trusted him in my home. The disappointment point was when I called him and asked, "Hey, have you ever heard of any cases where these cords are crushed into the weight of a garage?" He said, "Definitely." Well, that's funny because you told me the exact opposite when I asked you the exact same question when you installed it. I honestly think he just didn't want to go through the hassle of cutting a pass-through hole in the wall so that he could properly mount the outside panel. He wanted to get it done quickly and move on to the light switches, since those were the easy tasks to collect a bunch of money. I am more disappointed than upset by sharing this as a cautionary tale so that others don't get scammed in the same way.
