You feel comfortable at this spot, and it feels safe since police officers often stop in to eat as well. This is one of the few places where you can spend about $13 on a chicken sandwich and not feel guilty about it. There also reward points. My purchase came down to $6. The chicken is well cooked and nicely spicy without being overpowering, so you can enjoy both the flavor and the seasoning. Mine came with radish, which added a nice touch. The New York style burger is also very good. Customer service was friendly, ordering through the kiosk is easy, and the space is very clean. Juicy chicken! I actually enjoy this infinitely more than Raising Cane's bc the chicken is juicier and actually has a layer of crisp breading. Fries were also perfectly crisp and seasoned. But the sides outclass the fast-casual paradigm to a degree where I could see a non-meat person possibly appreciating Brine. The tomato/heart of a palm salad is a long-standing favorite but the rice is worth a try. Per Brine, it consists of "Long grain rice and sweet peas, simmered with coconut milk, thyme, and onion." The fries were crunchy, had a good amount of salt, and it came with plenty of them, enough that 2 people could reasonably split them. The food came out rather quickly, and the staff was nice. The only complaint that I have was that the fountain drinks came out from the dispenser warm, and it had a bit of a funky taste to it. This is good food for a good price, served quickly. For lunch in NYC, you really can't ask for more than that. It should be noted that Brine's "Signature Thigh" is actually a leg. It's a big one, and it's juicy as hell. The skin isn't exactly crisp, but the fat is rendered and it's saucy and flavorful. I personally preferred the jalapeño sauce to the red buttermilk option, but because this chicken has been brined properly, it honestly didn't need either. The sides are also well-conceived, and well-executed too. I opted for the charred broccoli and grilled sweet potato, both delicious, especially with a little cheese dumped on top. There was actual spice and flavor involved in all the food served here, and I was grateful enough that I didn't stop to wonder why all kitchens can't make this happen. Although, now I'm wondering. In any case, Brine is a great spot to pick up a very tasty chicken lunch. If it matters to you, you should know you're going to order it via touch screen, where you can pick and choose from all the different options, and tip as well. They have chicken sandwiches and also chicken with sides. The sauces are the icing on the cake here too. The chimichurri and garlic chili are my 2 favorites. The chicken is juice and I'm a sucker for that deep charred flavor. One thing I've noticed when I sat there is the workers constantly cleaning, wiping tables ,walking around wiping and asking if everyone is ok. Interacting with customers in a non-intrusive way. I appreciate the attentiveness. The restaurant is always clean. I usually go around 1 to 2 pm, it's not crowded I always find a table to sit at and enjoy my meal.
